"As you enter, you pass the brasserie, where you can enjoy a casual lunch or snack. The space at the rear of the restaurant is like an oasis, with trees, plants and wood setting the tone. The terrace seamlessly merges with chef Jaap Volman's kitchen garden. An ambassador of Dutch cuisine, his cooking style is very much French-inspired, but his creative use of vegetables and fruit adds lightness and freshness . Me and my girlfriend ate here a several times now, they always made us feel very welcome every time ! The wine waitress who servers the food as well is soo kind! She recognised us immediately that was very nice, we ate here 7 dishes,, all with well cared info ! Recommended this to all who is interested to quality food!

Hier gegeten na dagje zooparc met 5 personen. Netjes van tevoren geïnformeerd of er plaats was en gereserveerd. Ontvangst en bediening bijzonder koud, onpersoonlijk en ongezellig. Omdat we de brasserie hadden gereserveerd werd ons direct het terras aan de weg aangewezen zonder de vraag of we binnen of buiten wilde zitten. Het eten was ok, enkele zaken die me opvielen: Tijdens bestellen kan de bediening vragen over de kaart niet beantwoorden zoals: " wat is de soep van de dag? " We hadden 2 broodplankjes bij onze soep besteld. Het brood op een van de plankjes had al duidelijk te lang gelegen en was uitgedroogd. Ze serveren geen botermes bij het plankje zodat je genoodzaakt bent je hoofd-bestek te gebruiken. Het hoofdgerecht word geserveerd met gegrilde groenten waar de stronken nog aan zitten. Bij de bij geserveerde friet werd wederom geen opschepbestek geserveerd. Dit restaurant pretendeert in het hogere segment te zitten en de prijzen zijn navenant. Dat is ook de reden dat ik er extra kritisch op ben.Er was duidelijk een scheiding te zien in hoe ze hun brasserie klanten en hun vaste restaurant klanten behandelde. Kortom het eten was ok, maar is het een restaurant om naar terug te gaan? Nee, ik denk niet dat ze mij na deze ervaring nog terug zien en ik zou het de toevallige passant ook niet aanraden.

Wij komen regelmatig bij Boompjes en zijn altijd zeer tevreden. Het 7 gangen diner met alles er op en eraan is altijd een avondje uit voor ons. Fijne sfeer, lekkere afwisselende gerechten en heerlijk bijpassende wijnen die mooi worden toegelicht door de gastvrouw maakt de avond compleet. Echte vakkundige mensen!
