"As you enter, you pass the brasserie, where you can enjoy a casual lunch or snack. The space at the rear of the restaurant is like an oasis, with trees, plants and wood setting the tone. The terrace seamlessly merges with chef Jaap Volman's kitchen garden. An ambassador of Dutch cuisine, his cooking style is very much French-inspired, but his creative use of vegetables and fruit adds lightness and freshness . The velvety consommé with its subtle acidity accompanying the succulent pork cheeks was just as delightful as the vibrant medley of garden-fresh vegetables and herbs. Me and my girlfriend ate here a several times now, they always made us feel very welcome every time ! The wine waitress who servers the food as well is soo kind! She recognised us immediately that was very nice, we ate here 7 dishes,, all with well cared info ! Recommended this to all who is interested to quality food!

Wij zijn noch bevoegd, noch bekwaam waar het gaat om de kunst van het koken, derhalve past bescheidenheid en is alles wat we zeggen subjectief. Maar men vraagt onze mening. Alles was technisch perfect gekookt en ook de presentatie was mooi. Het 5-gangen menu was qua hoeveelheid voor ons al meer dan genoeg. De eerste en de vierde gang (respectievelijk groentengerecht en eend) sprongen er uit. Overall misten we echter de verfijndheid waar het gaat om smaak en nogmaals dat is natuurlijk ALTIJD subjectief, maar dat is wel waar het bij ons om gaat. De wijnen (natuurlijk onze eigen keuze) waren niet meer dan middelmatig. Overall hadden we met z’n vieren een gezellige avond, maar de wauw-factor was er niet.

Hier gedineerd. Het eten was lekker en voldoende. Maar de beleving in verhouding met de prijs viel tegen. Toen we om een andere wijn vroegen in plaats van de bijpassende, hadden we het voor ons gevoel verpest bij de gastvrouw. Ondanks duidelijke communicatie over glutenvrij dieet werden hier toch enkele slordigheidsfoutjes mee gemaakt. Jammer.
