"Boon Tong Kee prides itself on its spiced soy marinade made with aromatic Chinese herbs. With its springy skin and tasty meat, the signature braised duck is a hit. The braised pork trotter and taro rice are also popular." - Michelin Inspector

One of the hawker stalls at Zion that has been featured in the Michelin Guide. When I came here for dinner, the queue was quite long and mostly filled with locals. This stall specializes in kway chap (pig intestines), but since I’m not really into it, I decided to try their rice set menu instead. 1. Braised Duck & Braised Pork Rice This was the only rice dish still available as the others were already sold out. The meat was well-seasoned, juicy, and tender. However, I personally didn’t quite enjoy the black sauce, it was a bit too thin and lacked the rich flavor I was expecting.

The Braised Duck with rice and chilli here is fantastic. Perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Good sized portions, even so, it was so good I could have eaten 2 😂. I didn’t, but could have! Super friendly service. I’ll definitely be back here again before the end of our trip. If you haven’t been get yourself down here.

I recently tried the Braised Duck at Boon Tong Kee, and it was love at first bite! The duck was tender and flavorful, with a rich, savory sauce that complemented the meat. But the highlight was the soup - the herbal flavors added a depth and complexity that elevated the entire dish. Only downer for me was the rice which felt a little bit undercooked. I would have preferred softer rice.

Tried both the Braised Duck Rice Set and Braised Duck with Tau Gan, Tau Pok & Egg with a side of Kuay Chap. The portions of duck were meaty, meticulously de-boned and a decent portion for the price. The duck meat was tender, juicy and flavorful. There’s plenty of braising sauce on the plate if you need to further moisten the duck meat. Having said that the rice set had less of the braised duck juices. The Tau Pok and egg were tasty having been braised in that lovely sauce. The lady that takes orders is just outright rude and unfriendly.

Very very slow service, just two persons in front of me and I queued for around 15 minutes. Duck rice is fragrant and portion is good. Duck is tender and flavourful too

The aunty is impatient and extremely annoying to the point where you think they are not interested in selling. The duck meat was good, the rest of the food was average and what you can get at any other kway chap or duck stall. They should just call it a day. with their terrible attitude, what’s the point of being grumpy and translating it to customers.

3.5⭐️ (good quality, but not my cup of tea): I ordered kway chap with an added braised duck. The kway chap broth has a braised flavor with a hint of meat and herbs. It's decent, but not to my taste. The kway noodles are average. The accompanying meat plate includes various items like beancurd, organs, and duck—everything tastes fine, but nothing stands out as particularly special.

Always long queue for yummy braised duck and kway chap. 1 person set of Da Chang + Duck meat with 2 bowls of kway = $11. Can grabpay, paynow if no cash.
