The live band was bad. The DJ is awesome. Will go after 9 pm. The food is not the best but not the worst. The wings are not seasoned. I liked the chicken strips. The drink i ordered wasn't made right. Very sour was supposed to be a little sweet kamaski. Free fireball shots and sunglasses, which was nice.

Stopped in for brunch before a show at ASU Gammage. Got the chicken fried chicken, secret off menu item!! So good!!

What a great spot! Nice indoor outdoor experience at a bar, with lots of televisions for all your #ports watching needs. The food was delicious, the beer runs at great prices. This place is even dog friendly! Easy walk, ample parking, overall a great bar at a great location! Been enjoying this place a lot!

Came here for father's day as I've been to another boondocks location but this one was very different. I did order a medium steak but the steak that came was very rare. The service was not the best even tho it was very slow that day. The drinks were not prepared very well and the whole experience felt like a major waste of money so we didn't stay very long at all and actually went to the Scottsdale location

Great little bar. Lots of stuff to do. Bartenders are friendly. Drinks are cold. I did not eat so I'm not sure how good the food is. And they have a dog friendly patio. What more could you want?

My boyfriend and I stopped in for an early lunch. We were expecting to have a mid, bar food lunch. Lemme tell ya, we were wrong! Super strong drink, delicious food, great prices and a clean environment! Will absolutely be back!

Amazing place for anyone with an appetite and a taste for good ole American food with a slight exotic twist! That’s all I’m gonna say so come and experience this place for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Was running errands on a Wednesday night and my boyfriend said he wants to go to Trivia so we found the closest one and walked in. Couple tables of "townies" playing a game. Fun vibes overall. We expected a live person presenting like most trivia's but this was all on a TV screen so if you want live trivia, this is not the place for you. Now the food was just mid bar food, so were the drinks (but very affordable). The service was a bit slow but the server apologized and told us that he was alone running the floor so we understood.

We came, we hung out, we ate, it was cool. Happy Hour is cool and they have a good selection of beers on Tap. TV's all around, but couldn't really connect as the sound and TV I was watching wasn't in sync. Parking can be a bit of a challenge in the rear, but I got lucky. Duck Fat Fries were the star of the night. The margarita's I had were "average".

I will be back. Stopped in for Happy Hour with my sister. We sat at the bar and Tyler the bartender was super amazing in welcoming us, going over the menu, and serving us. The Aperol Spritz I ordered was so refreshing. I wanted to get another one but I didn't have time. We ordered the loaded fries which were ok. It was a nice portion size like Tyler mentioned but the nacho cheese didn't have much cheese flavor. The Carne Asada was tender and tasted like it was cooked over an open flame. It was very tastey. The fries were piping hot and not sitting under a warming light like some places. This was a short dining experience because I had to catch a movie and didn't want to be late. Looking forward to my next visit.

Recently had a friend DJ a 70's and 80's party and Boondocks and we thought we would make the trek down to see him. We enjoyed seeing some friends we hadn't seen for a long time. We ended up sitting at the bar and were immediately served. They had a good selection of beers on tap. We were hungry and were surprised at the extensive menu they offered so it took a little while to select. Ended up choosing a burger with tator tots which did not disappoint. Also ordered brussel sprouts which if you read any of my reviews I order plain fried brussel sprouts any chance I get. The food was scrumptious and the service was great. All staff was very friendly. They seemed to have plenty of parking behind the grill. We opted for Lyft. Will definitely be back!

Great service from our waitress Bailey. Constantly checking in on us and made this place feel like a small little home. Will be back plenty more times!

Over the last few years, I've been here a handful of times. I love their cheese curds and they do have some great selections for food and drinks. The atmosphere is laid back and fairly spacious. Even when busier, the staff has been very friendly and works hard to get your order to you asap. Thank you for showing the away games for Phoenix Rising Football Club!

Stopped by here after a Cubs game at Sloan and wanted to try something local. Overall a cool atmosphere, they have a partially covered patio connected to the interior. A few pool tables and a few arcade games. Happy Hour is fairly reasonable but the drinks shot up afterwards. Service was cool. We'd come back next time we're in the area.

No frills. It's just a bar. Not much like the Scottsdale location. Ok, now with that out of the way.. Boondocks Tempe is a great place to go for a drink and a bite to eat. I go often after work with coworkers. Darts, pool, goldent tee, and a nice patio. The bartenders have always been great and friendly and I have seen quite a few come and go over the past 4 years, so they're hiring right! I come and get my car washed next door and always stop in to say hi to everyone. It's definitely a friendly spot to stop!

4 pm on Friday, not busy yet. Friendly server gave us lots of time to decide. We ordered happy hour appetizers. College boy had mac and cheese, and I ordered the fried brussel sprouts. The sprouts were a bit underdone but had a great flavor. Sweet from the balsamic, but salty from the goat cheese and the capers. I ate a lot of the outside leaves and brought them home to cook them for 10 more minutes more as leftovers the next day. The mac and cheese was not overly thick and rich, but creamy and well prepared. He also had a bacon BBQ burger. It came in a puddle of sauce, so he finally removed his hoodie to eat it! I have never seen more bacon on a burger, there must have been six pieces hanging off the sides of the bun. Burger and fries were devoured, pronounced pretty darn good for a dive bar. I am sorry I didn't take any pictures . Neither one of us was drinking but our adorable server kept up with Coca-Cola consumption quite well. If this casual joint with a pool table and a great patio were located in my neighborhood, I would be hanging out here all the time. Nice job!

First time checking out this Boondocks location, I usually go to the Scottsdale location. The Tempe location has a lot more laid back/chill kind of vibe, which I'm not mad at. The service was great, I'm so sorry I forgot the bartenders name that waited on us, but LOVED his energy. I ordered the loaded fries, I personally didn't really care for them to much, they were just ok to me. I will be back to try some other food and drink items off the menu. I recommend checking this location out

Fun outside atmosphere, great for watching sports. We got the tacos, the fried pickles are great and mimosa buckets all day long! Service was a little slow

Really cool space with both indoor/outdoor patio seating. We came to watch a game and the outdoor patio was perfect on the warm day to enjoy the sun with the covered patio and fans to cool you down. Service was really quick and the wings and curds were solid bar food options to pair with the crisp beers. They were also attentive and always made sure to check in on us outside. I also enjoyed the darts and other games they have inside for you to play during the breaks. It wasn't busy at all so we could leave our table and go back and forth.

Look, this is the second week in a row I've come here and had great food. But good lord... do I HAVE to flag someone down and literally ASK for my check? Both times. I'm drinking water and my food has been eaten and my tray has been taken and I have to wait TEN MINUTES before I awkwardly ask for my check. It's not like I would be waiting for a refill on water or something or waiting to see until I finish a beer if I want another. I feel like this comes most standard at restaurants, especially bars, where your receipt is put in a glass if you sit at the bar. Or heck, receipt even given to you without asking. Food is great, but if I come again and the same thing happens I will sadly probably miss out on good food because of that service. Again, no complaints of food. But both times there were 6 or less people also. That and the first time i had to ask for a refill of water after no one checked on my glass. As well as having to ask for a fork both times. This is prob poorly written because I'm trying to type fast but sheesh.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. I was dancing, eyes closed, and some dude cheap-shot swung on me. When I came to, there was a mini brawl going on. I was attacked. I got "banned". Fuck this place. I was assaulted and I got in trouble? Literally wtf, I was here with my boys from outta town and this place sided with the dude who attacked me. I'll never go here again, fuck this place and every managerial staff member included. Bunch of cowards. I was the one who was assaulted. I had my eyes closed, I was dancing, minding my own business. I can't tell you who hit me or why, because I literally had my eyes closed and was vibing to the music. Next thing I know, some dude is swingings on me, his friends jump in and try to jump me -- and I'm the one who got banned. I amiably talked to security and tried my absolutely hardest (while being shooken up from being literally jumped) and they wouldn't even listen to me. Fuck you to every single worker there. My lawyer will have a field day with this. 0/10 do not trust this place with your safety or wellbeing. They don't care about you or your safety, only their own liability. I cannot emphasize how poorly the entire staff handled this situation. I tried to explain to them that I literally had my eyes closed and can't even tell them who hit me, and they didn't care. Because I'm 6'9", it must have been my fault. Fucking cowards. I hope this place gets shut down. Fuck you.

Thanksgiving dinner special was outstanding especially with the friendly smiles and outstanding service behind the bar!! Thank you for always making me feel welcome when I come in :) 5 stars hands down

Excellent steak! Server was fun. Definitely Irish, would love to come back on St Patricks day! Ambience was typical sports bar but it was dog friendly on a large patio. Beer was perfect and we love 805 and they stocked it! Yea!

I had a very good night here it's great bar good music has a good music box that plays music when you want I was served by a bartender named Ava she had very good vibe and very polite if your haveing her as a bartender you will Have a good night didn't pick up any food but from what I heard the food is good

Average bar Average crowd There are quite a few TVs, just not enough TVs to call it sports bar, too new and clean to be a drive bar. It has a couple darts boards, a couple pool tables, and a pop-a-shot game. But, not enough to call it a game bar. However, it has a mixed age group of bar patrons and friendly staff. So, of you happen to be nearby and looking for a place to get a drink with friends, this place will meet the requirements.

Fun place to be on a Saturday night! There was great music playing the entire time and then around 9 they had a live country band and that was great! The ambiance was good, people were playing pool and a few other games they had there. They service was amazing our guy kept coming to our table to see how we were doing. The lost star was on the food, it just wasn't it, fries were SUPER garlicky, tacos a little on the salty side, mini corn dogs were good to snack on and after we asked for extra sauce the wings were good (I would recommend those) . Overall maybe just a good place to hang out with a group of friends for drinks.

Ok this is the kind of Bar you want to find in your neighborhood: good food, great customer service, and drinks. Fun good music nice atmosphere. My husband brought me all the way from my fave bar in tempe to this place, I have to admit, I had a great time. Lo and Brittany,our bartenders,make sure my husband and I were taken care of. I had a Mexican mule for the first time and it was good (not too sweet the way I like it) the CAB sandwich also good. We will come back again . You should try, I doubt it you will be disappointed. I'm just waiting for the band to play. I will tell you later.

Pricier than I usually want to spend, but since I also ordered a docktail, that didn't help the price tag! Visited Boondocks a few weeks ago on an early Saturday evening. Parking was larger (but not very large) and better paving than I expected. The patio was a nice size, w/ heating lamps. Unfortunately I was facing the sunset & was blinded for a few minutes before it went down; I don't recall them having outdoor shades that could have been pulled down. The service was prompt & courteous. The only item that irked me was the main door was propped wide open by a sign and its openness blocked the other patio door's exit ... which seemed unsafe to me. Wonder what the fire department would have said about that ... LOL. One of my friends ordered the peanut butter burger, which almost made me gag just thinking about it but I must admit, it was a good burger! All in all, a pleasurable place to dine and drink.

Went to this new Boondocks location to watch the college football championship. My friend and I ordered the chicken tenders as well as the fried cauliflower and fried cheese curd appetizers. For being such a basic order, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the chicken tenders. Not too heavily breaded and the chicken was well cooked. I also liked the fried cauliflower. I appreciated that the kitchen doesn't fall into the typical sports bar trap of adding excessive oil. Being so close to ASU, it's very much a college bar with lots of students and loud music when a game isn't happening.

This is a super fun new-ish sports bar in the Tempe area. They have a great appetizers and food. Most of all I loved the live musician they had playing on the night I was there.

Amazing!!! The entire menu is delicious!! Over the last couple months I have practically tried everything on the menu and everything is tasty, fresh, well seasoned, perfectly cooked, I can't say enough! Bar is very well stocked, tap selection is great and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful!

Slow service. Weird seating,only a few tables that weren't just drink tables. I ordered Caesar salad with chicken. It was uneventful. The burger was uneventful.

This is the perfect spot for game watching; there are TVs everywhere you look. There are over 10 just on the patio alone! They also have Golden tee, a basketball shooting game, pool, and a stage for music. Their happy hour is from 3-6pm with Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts, chips and guacamole, and other light bites. The patio is completely covered and shaded on the sides as well and has fans with misters under them. You can hear the traffic but the music drowns out most of it. We love the Sin burger topped with pickled cabbage, jalapeño cheese, and avocado. It comes on a perfectly soft and squishy bun. The Happy hour Mac with pulled pork was creamy and cheesy. The pork was crispy in some spots so it provided good contrast of texture. Overall, you can get a great meal, enjoy a beverage and take in a variety of games all at once. A great neighborhood spot!

Always friendly service. 100's of TVs. Well not literally, but for sure a TV for you. Great outdoor covered area. Music a bit loud, but can still hear my hubby next to me. Had the blue cheese burger the first time, majorly impressed. I'm picky as to how my burger is cooked and they nailed! Get. The. Tator. Tots! Clean and great layout. Lots of room for distancing. They carry 4 Peaks products, a bonus. I recommend!

I cannot say enough about the Boondocks staff and their helpfulness in creating a spectacular event for my High School reunion this past weekend! Kelly and Tyler made everything so seamless from start to finish, which relieved a lot of my stress in planning from out of state. The event itself was absolutely perfect - from the allocated area to the food (delicious), and the staff working during that time. Everyone was beyond kind and most importantly helpful in making sure our guests had everything they needed! I highly recommend hosting your next event with Boondocks and will definitely be back again soon!

So I have a new addiction, and it is Boondocks. Came in for the first time to this new Tempe location and it met my expectations and more. The Mac and Cheese is absolutely TO DIE FOR, and the garlic fries with buffalo ranch is my new favorite "bar food." Boondocks has a TON of delicious cocktails, my personal favorite being the CoCucumber! They also serve High Noon seltzers which are one of my favorites as well! We happened to go in a group on a Wednesday and were surprised with the Trivia Night being held. It was a blast. Our server, Georgia, was extremely knowledgeable with recommendations and one of the best servers I've ever had- anywhere! I cant wait to go back soon! That Mac & Cheese is calling my name!

Had wings, fries and a single beer here. Food was decent. Service was also decent. Music is good but not amazing.

Had a long trip down from Prescott stopped in for some beers and a burger it was 945 asked for a menu was told by the bartender the kitchen closes at 10pm but they already made last call for food, I said it's not ten yet and already ordered two beers got my beers and was ignored the rest of the time, I am highly disappointed as usually this is a great spot. And as a chef it is really unacceptable.

Decided to try something new for lunch. I heard the burgers were really good here. As I'm running through the menu I see a peanut butter jelly burger. How do you not try that. It is not what you think they barely put a little peanut butter and the jam just enough to give it the flavor and it is amazing. The tater tots were perfectly crispy and the manager and the server treated us like kings. Definitely give this a try for happy hour the ambience is awesome

On Sunday night at 5:30 pm, we visited boondocks - we used to visit this place regularly, but every time we had this male server,our orders were consistently incorrect. I initially requested a strawberry jalapeño margarita, to which the server quickly confirmed that i could order. However, when he returned, he had brought me a prickly pear jalapeño margarita without asking. The color was wrong, and it wasn't until I questioned if it was strawberry that he admitted they were out and switched it to prickly pear without consulting me. This represents terrible customer service, as it could have been much worse if I were allergic & didn't inform me prior. Despite living within walking distance, we won't be returning, and I do not recommend this establishment.

The ambiance, service, staff, energy, fun of this bar get 5 stars for sure! I can't give the food 5 stars though, I'm sorry. My carne asada salad was one of the worst I've ever gotten. I ate it all because I was starving, but the meet was greasy and looked like hamburger meat with no flavor. My hubby's wings were ok but his fish and chips were just bar food quality with no taste. I would come here again for drinks and maybe chips which you can't go wrong. Super for sports with all the TV's we watched the Alabama/GA championship here and that was fantastic. I have a pet peave for paying full price for indoor top shelf drinks served in plastic. It's not a cook out or a pool party. Top shelf spirits lose their element in plastic. Maybe it's just me. Thankfully the amazing young man behind the bar whose name I should have gotten hooked me up with a hand made craft skinny margarita he squeezed the limes for himself in a wine glass which was actual glass and boosted my star rating from 3 to 4. I'm cool with plastic if the price is half or again a pool/bbq joint. Appreciate the attention to detail for my Don craft Rita from my European friend and would definitely come back for more sports fun if he's working but will skip any real food orders. The lights and patio, really cool!

music was good, but the staff was not exactly friendly or helpful. food was as you'd expect - beer cold. i paid $14 for four slices of bacon. the bartender also kindedly added a slice of cheese i didnt ask for and charged me extra for it too. nevermind im lactose intolerant lol. i had asked him how much bacon was on the blt because i was hoping itd be like seven or eight pieces but was afraid it'd only be four. he didnt know himself and tbh seemed annoyed i even asked. it was frustrating knowing that i couldve actually gotten what i was trying to get if he had just known the menu but instead I got a half portion AND still paid extra for it anyways

Tried this place for the first time yesterday because we are so excited that a local small joint opened up walking distance from us. Let me start out with the positives. VERY CLEAN, tons of screens for sporting events (they had the wildcard game between the Yankees and Red Sox on plus some basketball), fun bar games (extra costs), and most importantly EXCELLENT SERVICE! There was ONE waitress and one bartender and they gave better service than some fully staffed places with multiples of each. I believe our servers name was Chelsea and she was exceptional. Food was the reason for the 3 stars. It was good but wasn't great. I wasn't blown away. Will definitely go back and try new stuff in the hopes of finding something I love. The garlic fries were good, the mini corn dogs were good, the wings were dry (needed way more sauce). The Brussel sprouts were actually my favorite but I would go without the feta. Customer service will keep us coming back but hoping for a delightful dish next time.

Love this place! Went for an easy dinner date and had fast chill service and so much fun! The food, drinks, and atmosphere were great! Excited to come back as a great local spot for a great time!

Had a really great time here. The staff and security were very friendly. It was our first time here and the place is super cool. They had it all decorated for the holidays and they also had a band that night. The band was AMAZING!!! They were engaging with the crowd and really sang their ass off. I wish that there was a link on the website that directs you to the performers page of IG account. The night I was there I believe the name of the band was Blackboots, but I can't find them on any platforms . If you want to have a good time and enjoy so good music definitely check this place out!

Just ate here and it was absolutely terrible I'd leave zero starts if I could. The staff was rude and impatient. I ordered tacos and they were terrible like how can you mess up tacos.. crazy.. Waste of good potential.

Onion rings are to die for. Bloody Mary's were delicious but they ran out of mix on a Sunday morning so we drank Moscow Mules and Long Drinks which were also delicious. Credit card surcharge should be disclosed upfront and should honestly be eaten by the business as a business expense. Mary and Rob provided excellent service. We will return but only if we have cash on hand

There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned that it is nothing short of genius. Last night, I had one of those meals - Casa Migos and Modelo Great neighborhood establishment with great staff (Mary and Jared specifically) and even better management team (Rob and Tyler). A true AZ brand with a special touch towards the details that matter. Great drinks. Better food. All with a fun and inviting atmosphere. The live music is a special touch that's been missing in Tempe for the last few years and it's great to see Boondocks bring that back.

Check this out..So my wife took me to boondocks patio in Tempe,we ordered a bloody Mary , and a beer..The bar tender opened hot sauce with his mouth then squirted it in my drink.. so gross..happy birthday to me.. Never again.. WTF???

Incredible Food, Service, Atmosphere. I had the buffalo wings and fries and would definitely recommend them. Everything else on the menu looks amazing too.

Came on a Sunday at 12:45a and everyone ignored us. Waved down a server three times and he ignored us. All the rest were on their phones. You fail! Horrible!!! Bring back Pranksters!
