This is as fine as diner as you can experience in New York. A great menu with fresh ingredients (I had a Julienne salad). Fast but friendly service and if you are lucky the owner Ben will drop by and make sure that you are enjoying your meal. This is old school quality and value and a good reason to visit Boonville any time of year.

Went snowmobiling last night and was looking for a different place to stop, and we found this gem. What a very cool place! Has a real old school vibe in there, like 30''s 40's. We were welcomed as soon as we came in and had a cold beer in front of us as soon as we sat. Kendra is an amazing bartender with a great personality. Food was good and came out fast. Too bad it took so long to stop at this place. Probably won't make it on sleds again this season, but will definitely have to drive up. Next time I'm sitting in one of the "booths" in the bar!

This is the spot for fried chicken, some of the best I have had. Fresh vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes to go with it, did not dissapoint. Just really good homeade style food, almost like the Franklin in rome. I will be back when passing through

It can be hit or miss, which is why I usually only order their bacon cheeseburger, Reuben, or fish fry. They make awesome fresh cut fries, too.

Nice place, decent pricing, and VERY kind staff. Unfortunately...we have to give it a low rating because our meals were extremely bland/unseasoned and the fries tasted like fish. The cooked portions were made with minimal effort. :/

Every time we have driven by we say "some day" we need to eat there. Well TODAY is SOME DAY! And am I sure glad we did. French Onion soup some of the best I have ever tasted. My daughter wants the recipe so she can have it at school. My dinner was ground round smothered in beef mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes with more gravy. Simple comfort food but done extremely well. You can tell it's made in house from scratch. Delicious, taking most of it home, and I will be eating it later. Hubs had open-faced prime rib, with fries, and it was amazing. Daughter had grilled ham and swiss on rye and she said it was the best she has ever had. Comfortable surroundings, great service, reasonable prices. I will be back! Thank you for a wonderful end to a beautiful ride!

Been many times. Always good food. Waitress was a treat!

The cheeseburgers were delicious, and the fries were magnificent! Tavern and restaurant are separated, but seemed like you could be served food in the tavern.
