Reasonable price for the food, which was good. Portions could be slightly bigger imo. This place was busy when I went. The store itself is pretty small with like 2 tables but it does offer tea for waiting customers.

Detroit’s well kept secret! I come here for their chicken shawarma when in town. The taste will take you back to the Saudi souks and restaurants. If you haven’t tried the chicken shawarma here, then ask yourself, if you’ve really ever had one. I haven’t tried their spin-off version with ranch. I like the OG with pickles and thoum. Second best thing about this shawarma is its price! At $6 a piece, it’s a fast food steal of a deal! Staff is nice, welcoming and friendly. Also don’t forget to try their cha!

This is my second time visiting to boostan cafe! Lst time I tried something like chicken shawarma which has salad,meat and sauce (can't remember) wrapped with large 12'' tortila. this time I tried Meat soghar and meat shwarma. For meat soghaar meat was very chewy and i find it tasteful but not that mouth watering.but it was good.I was expecting yellow rice basamati with bith platter but it was not.there should be an option for this. there is two platter one came with lamb (black color in the picture ) red one with picture. the red one may be meat shawarma whixh one not that spicy but taste good. we liked the hummus most ,it was taste like homemade ,I felt good. Lentil soup average one.Mango juice good too. Dishes are enough for 3/4 person. overall it costs us $38 i think its quite enough. They have a big menu section 😁😁 it will take some time to go through it. Another thing its mainly takeway but there is 3 tables with where you can dine in with 8-9 people maybe. environment 10/10 Food price 9/10 service 10/10 food quality 8/10

We got the lamb soup, chicken and beef, and mango smoothie to go. The lamb soup kind of tasted like beans and lentil soup of sorts, I was expecting more lamb flavor to it. Of the chicken and beef combo platter, I liked the chicken more; it was flavorful and tender. On the other hand, beef was a little harder to chew on. Mango smoothie has subtle hints of spices added to it, which I like of the flavor. But the smoothie was just a little too sweet for me and I had to water it down a bit.

If you are looking to try some local food, this is the spot to go in Hamtramck. One of the best CK shawarma, fresh juices and cocktails.

The food was amazing, best sandwiches in town 💯💯. I went with my friends and we spent no more than 10$ per person. The inside of the restaurant was alright, it’s kind of small but the people there were very nice and talkitive. Overall a 10/10 experience and 10/10 food.

I used to love this one. However I called to place orders and I was hung up on I called back and then was hung up two more times. So I drove up to the restaurant and then I ordered. I ordered my food and was waiting way too long. They messed up some guys order and gave him one of mine which caused me to wait to long. It was pretty frustrating to say the least. I hate to have had this experience because when I lived here it was a really good cheap quick spot to get some food.

What a great find!! Came here to have a quick lunch on my way to the airport. I chose the chicken shawarma plate and holy crap it's a ton of food! I had it with fried and vegetables and loved it all. It was so good and I had so much left over that I stoped at target to buy a container to take it home on the plane. Munched in it for dinner. And still had plenty for lunch the next day. The staff was kind enough to let me sample a mango drink and a sweetened rice dish (I didn't catch the name) and they were all soooo good! If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely be coming back.

Got half deboned chicken. Was pretty good. Two large pieces of chicken, white meat, one a bed of rice pilaf. It came with two sides, which I chose lamb soup and hummus. For greater than $15 it was reasonable value. Hummus was good tasting. Lamb chili was hearty and delicious. Service was so-so. I called and asked for recommendations, and they seemed annoyed. The chicken was also charred a bit too much and made the taste quite bitter due to overcooked aspects. Can see Pic.

Great place for carry out. Not really a place to sit down and eat, even though they do have tables. Workers all wearing hair nets which I thought a good idea. Food is very good, you won't be disappointed. Friendly and fairly quick filling your order.This review is for the restaurant on Holbrook .

Small local place with a great service and amazing food for the price recommended highly

On a Saturday night out with my husband we were looking for a late night bit to eat. Came to this place though I was going to fall in love with the food. Was let down everything I ordered had no flavor I'm not sure if it was because they were getting ready to close or what but for the money I spent I was not interested.

Phone did not eat first. This place is a true hole in the wall and the food was exceptional. I had the chicken shawarma with a side of rice and grilled vegetables. The vegetables were so flavorful and mixing all three items together made each bite extremely flavorful. Place order to go!

Randomly stopped at Boostan Cafe. It was conveniently located off the highway, and it received awesome reviews. It's in a small building. The menu was in English, and I believe Arabic. The restaurant was well maintained and clean. The people behind the counter were very helpful, friendly, and patient. We weren't sure of what to order. We ended up ordering a lamb kabob plate and chicken shawarma. They had a good number of patrons ordering and picking up, which is always a great sign that the food is yummy! As we waited, they offered my husband a mango smoothie, which many people were ordering, and he was curious about. It was our first time there, so they gave him a generous sample. It was so good! We got our order and returned to our hotel. The food was absolutely delicious!!! The lamb was so tender, perfectly grilled, and spiced to perfection. The chicken shawarma was also wonderful. We were really delighted.

What you order versus what you get. Looks nothing like the photo they have on door dash. I literally laughed when i opened up the box.

My cream chop sandwhich was excellent and so was my salad. My salad was huge also and it was apart of a lunch special but I ate the sandwich for lunch and the salad for dinner. Service was smooth and fast and it's nice that it's close to where I work.

It's a small place on the corner with tons of fresh produce lining the windows , the service was great the food was fresh and affordable I ate here to days in a row , dinner then first time and lunch the next and was contemplating going again today which would make it 3 days in a row . Check them out .

Got the falafel wrap and their fries. Falafel was really good and the fries had a nice seasoning. Order was on time.

Best Shawarma!!!! I love the Kafta Boostan style and the mango drink. The free tea is a great touch i grab a cup and sip on it while I wait for my food.

You better watch these guys! I don't mind leaving a gratuity when I pick up food these days. I know the people working are trying to make a living. Albeit, when they slip it in in your bill without your consent or knowledge I consider that theft! I was told one price and it appeared on the register. However, when I received my receipt a hefty tip was added! Of course I didn't notice this until I got home. Which I m sure they were counting on. I'll never go here again. By the way, the food was crappy too. I've had food here before. The seasoning was all wrong. Will never return!

Food is good. Very tasty and inexpensive. The fries are the best in town in my opinion. Service can be slow during busy hours since their kitchen is small. During lunch hours it is faster. It doesn't seem to be the cleanest on the inside and could use new tables and paint jobs. It's preferred to just get take out there. Or my favorite is when I'm at work and get it DoorDashed.

This is a small spot next to a liquor shop, mostly a counter takeout spot. It has a 2 2 top table and 4 top table, mostly food to carry here. They have complimentary hot tea in small styrofoam cups. Ordered the chicken shawarma lunch combo plate with hummus and lentil soup. I got the Fattoush Tawook salad sans pita. We added spices to the hummus and to my salad. I prefer my lentil with a bit of lemon juice but it's still pretty good as far as taste goes. They asked if we wanted my salad before the chicken shawarma plate, which would take about 15 minutes. The lentil soup tasted good, but I wasn't so fond of the rice in it, it's not my thing. It was still nice and piping hot and and a decent size portions of the lentil and hummus too. The hummus itself is good, smooth and nice with the spicy kick to it. Their fresh mango juice is super fresh and tasty but it takes a bit of getting used to since they leave part of the mango skins when they blend it all. My husband liked the skin bits in his at least. My first fattoush Tawook salad was smothered in pita chips. The staff is all friendly and all about making your short experience here great. Will go above and beyond to make sure you leave complexly satisfied. Free hot tea while you wait. The chicken Tawook and the chicken shawarma meat are both well seasoned without any garlic butter. Some soccer in Arabic playing on the TV while we waited for food to come out. We tried the finger and another baklava, they weren't bad and a good way to end our meal. I get why this place is so popular and so highly rated, it's good food and decent prices and soup good portions here. Their service here is tops and is better than some 5 star hotels. The owner or manager here is the king of customer service.

Five stars for an awesome hole in the wall place for Mediterranean food. I made a quick stop and they gave us recommendations and the food came out quick and fresh.

I love love LOVE this place! Best food ever. Everything is always fresh and cooked to order, the prices are decent and the workers are cool. Customer service is great. They have the best falafel I've ever tasted and the smoothies are amazing too. This is the only place i come to now for Mediterranean food. Definitely recommend!

This was my first time ordering from Boostan and I was not pleased. I first ordered the Deboned Chicken plate with rice and the rice was severely undercooked, so I called in about it. They were accommodating and offered to replace the rice immediately. I then placed an additional order on top of the replacement rice. I ordered a couple large plates with a fe side vegetables. The plates were fine but one of the vegetable sides was concerning. It had black streaks the rough most of the vegetables which I thought to be grill marks but when looking at other side orders the other vegetables didn't look that way. It looks as though I was served an entire side of rotten vegetables.

Good value and really tasty chicken. Highly recommend. service is quick. Good vibe inside.

Good place if you want quick, good quality food! There are a couple places to sit on the inside & eat, but didnt really see anyone eating there. More popular for takeout/pickup. The place isnt in the best neighborhood, but worth the stop! Plenty of parking around. Easy to order and quick on making the order. Def use the $5 off coupon on Yelp! Everything we tried was good! Salad, hummus, falfel, and sandwich. They'll give you thin pita as well.

Do. Not. Sleep. On. Boostan. Cafe. My coworkers and I stopped by Boostan while we were at work in Hamtramck one day, and our lives were forever changed for the better. Usually we just eat at the cafeteria, but we needed a change, and Boostan brought it and then some! The restaurant itself is located in a not-so-great part of town, and the roads on the way there can be a bit treacherous depending on where you're coming from (thought my car was going to fall apart at one point), but if you make the journey, your tastebuds will be rewarded! There's not much for seating on the inside, and it seems like many people just get carryout, but my coworkers and I were able to get a table and eat inside the restaurant. There's a crazy large selection on the menu, and it can be hard to differentiate some of the items, but the staff is nice and will help you with any questions you have along the way. Onto the food itself! The quality is amazing, the quantity is fantastic, the price is very fair, and the selection is immense. What more can you ask for? Everyone in my group loved what they ordered, and the guys from the restaurant brought us out some desserts to sample too. Keto / Low Carb folks: There's plenty to eat here, so go to town exploring the menu and trying different things! I personally enjoy the Shawarma Combo. It's pricier than most options, but it's a TON of food and will keep you stuffed. Ultimately, Boostan is a great restaurant, but if you've read this far, you already get that. Go check it out!

The portions are TERRIBLE!!!!! I paid $15.00 for a SMALL portion, like I was a child, and not the grown man that I am!!! I t was my first time, and it will be my LAST time!!! If I could rate ZERO, I would!!!

I ordered a cheeseburger fry and soda. I waited a long time for low temp food and warm greasy fries! This was my first time. Kinda sad. I was hungry

Tiny little spot in Hamtramck has big taste inside! This small storefront will surprise you once you find out the goodness contained inside. Upon entering you will notice a tight fit of 2 or 3 tables for sitting. We used one to wait for our food to be prepared, but we didn't have to wait long at all. However, I did personally think that it was too small for a comfortable sit down meal. We were offered a warm greeting when we arrived. Although the menu is prominently displayed on signage above and behind the counter, we were each given paper takeout menus for an up close view of the menu selections. There were choices of traditional middle eastern dishes served as platters, salads, sandwiches and soups all made fresh to order. My party of friends chose to carry out an order of lentil soup, lamb a shawarma sandwich, a Greek salad and a chicken shawarma salad. All of us agreed that it was some of the best obviously home made and authentic middle eastern fare we'd ever tasted. The place was clean and the staff wore gloves to prepare our meals; which is something I've learned to watch out for. We were even each gifted with a Baklava dessert. This spot has been added to my list of go to faves whenever I'm in the Hamtramck area! If you want fast, friendly service and fresh, tasty middle eastern food you should definitely try it.

This place is on our heavy rotation! You can't go wrong. Once we were accidentally delivered the lamb chili instead of lentil soup - I wouldn't have thought to order this but wow it is amazing. I now order it every time. I highly recommend. Also, the lamb grape leaves - 10/10. So thankful for this spot!

I stopped in here today for lunch after I noticed the $10 for $5 Yelp deal. I eat Middle Eastern food as often as possible when I'm in Detroit, since it's not the same in Raleigh. I ordered the shish tawook sandwich, a mango juice, small hummus and small garlic. The sandwich was really good! Similar to Royal Kabob. I always add extra garlic and I smell like a garlic bulb now, but I don't care! I washed it down with the refreshingly sweet mango juice. It was so fresh, and I felt healthy. Lol. I just tasted the hummus and it was delicious. I'm taking that back home to my Mom along with the rest of the garlic and pita. This is a great little restaurant! I will definitely be back!

Small establishment that creates food with major taste!!! One of my "go to" places whenever I'm in Detroit!

One of my fav spots for middle eastern food! Especially love that they're open later. It's hard to find any vegan-friendly spots past like 9 pm, and their food is soo yummy. I need to go back and try one of their smoothies too!

Stopped here because it has outstanding reviews. Best Falafel I had in a long time. Not sure if the calories because they grilled the bread but MAN!!!! When I put that garlic sauce on it Service was good, fast and courteous. It's a very tiny restaurant so don't plan to eat I . The only complaint I have is they weren't enforcing CoVid guidelines. 2 customers entered without mask. One out his mask on but the other one didn't. There was a total of 5 of us in the lobby while I waited for my sandwich and there is not enough room in the lobby to social distance.

Boostan has become that classic hole-in-the-wall place for me when I working in Ham-town. I've yet to have anything bad here - and arguably, their fattoush is some of the best in city; always fresh, with the correct crunch versus salad ratio that is often forgotten in this traditional dish. I know, I know - your thinking "it's salad, how bad/good can it be?" Trust me, when it comes to fattoush, it's all about the mix of fresh greens, the crunchiness of the khubz, and how zesty the sumac dressing is. Boostan never waivers in the quality of the mix, and if you throw in some of their grilled chicken, you have enough that I often make two meals out of one order. Yes, it has a small parking area, and yes, as a third-trick guy I wish they were open past midnight....but I can't really knock them, as the location is part of the reason I'm here so much. Boostan, you have made this railroader into a loyal customer for a reason - fast service, quality food, and friendly staff who aims to keep things moving and get me back to work. Keep up the good work!

This is the definition of a hole in the wall ethnic gem. We went based on the yelp reviews and had no regrets. We each got a sandwich and a juice and the large fries was plenty for 3 to share. We sat outside and were grateful for the nice weather that day. We will definitely be back - especially when carry out sandwiches fit the bill.

While we were.about to order our food a roach made a star Appearance on the counter... in shock while Gagging we dropped the menu backed up and left. Never again.

When you want a shawarma and see 5 stars, you can't believe you could go wrong, right? Well....ummmm.... a couple of things went wrong for me. The first thing was that when I checked in, expecting to get a mango juice for my efforts, I found out that it's only with an order of $20 or more. Secondly, when I walked in and stood in line, I found myself waiting and waiting for a staff person and a customer to finish up a personal conversation. Mind you the service on the phone and once I finally got to the window was good. My major disappointment was my lamb shawarma.The size was okay, but the tahini had a lot of citrus and overpowered all the other flavors. It was also lukewarm, even though I arrived within 2 minutes of the pickup time (not counting the time in line). I stop in again and try something else in hopes it was a fluke.

Just before we hit the road, we stopped here to eat! (So glad we did) the food was delicious and the service was a bonus. It's a little hole in the wall, you just place your order and get it to go! We got a chicken burger + fries and a meal with two skewers, rice, salad, and bread which came with pita bread, and a fresh mango juice! Everything was fresh and warm, devoured our food right outside! I will come back when I'm back in Michigan! Thank you!

My husband and I gotten take out on our wedding night after the party and after eating their food we got food poisoning and never orders from there again.

Great spot for good quick friendly service, large food portions and excellent Shawarma. I tried the Chicken Shawarma Salad - I got the large, but there is no way I can even eat the whole thing. It comes with a side of pita and really tasty garlic sauce. Google maps gave me slightly the wrong directions (it is kitty corner to where the map sent me) It's on the corner next to a party store. Definitely a great deal.

I wanted to go to Hello Shawarma but they were closed. I found this place on google and was pleasantly surprised. This is the best shawarma I've ever had. The dressing on the fattoush salad was really good too. I will definitely be back
