"With its dusty blue exterior and shelves lined with ephemera, this cafe in an old cobbler’s workspace has probably been on Instagram more times than the Arc de Triomphe. The signature flat white completes a visit. Located in the 3rd arrondissement. Rooksana Hossenally" - Rooksana Hossenally
"Set in a former cobbler's workshop, this pint-sized coffee wonderland is never loud nor rowdy. In fact, it only seats eight people, so more often than not, there's a line snaking around the shopfront for to-go cups. The millennials who frequent Boot are an international cohort of in-the-know coffee fans. They're here for pour overs by Chemex (versus already prepared filter coffee), flat whites, expertly pulled shots of espresso, and a killer hot chocolate." - Lindsey Tramuta
"Okay, you’ve just walked in. First impressions? Set in a former cobbler's workshop, this pint-sized coffee wonderland is never loud nor rowdy. In fact, it only seats eight people, so more often than not, there's a line snaking around the shopfront for to-go cups. Who else was there? While older folks might assume it's a cobbler shop, the millennials who frequent Boot are an international cohort of in-the-know coffee fans. The raison d’être : the coffee. How was it? The best coffee formats done masterfully—pour overs by Chemex (versus already prepared filter coffee), flat whites, expertly pulled shots of espresso, and a killer hot chocolate for non-bean fans. Was there food, too, and if so, worth getting? While the Saint-Germain location serves a full menu, here, it's limited to sweets like cookies, bars, and brownies. How about the staff: what did you think? The bar is manned by only one barista, so expect a wait. But if you're into specialty coffee, it's worth being patient. Who should go here? This is a must-visit at anytime of day for to-go drinks or on off-peak hours to sit in. Just don't schedule a rendezvous with anyone claustrophobic." - Lindsey Tramuta
