- food was good, it's your typical bar food. The bootleger sub had a nice flavor and everything seemed fresh. - staff were friendly. - service was quick. - place was clean and organized. - prices seem normal for the area. - overall a good first experience.

Kinda cozy vibe in here and I like that. Food is decent… better than some and affordably priced. We had the spinach & “crab” dip. Imitation crab but yummy nonetheless.

First of all let me say our waitress Allie was five star. She noticed I wasn't comfortable in the high top chairs and she brought a little bucket out for me to put my feet on. I had the buffalo chicken wings they were very good someone else had the butter garlic wings and they were also very tasty not greasy at all. I believe Allie went above and beyond she gave us water and then she gave us water for our containers and then she brought us a picture of water with lemon. The only thing negative I had to say is the free popcorn was a little too salty. It was free so that's a plus. The Santa Fe egg rolls were very good and the sweet and sour sauce had a bite to it which was a big surprise. I hate sweet and sour but this was sweet and bite It was very good.

The server (wish I knew her name) was so attentive and sweet. The food was good. The price was reasonable, for the area. Small menu but what we got was pretty good. My son got fish and I just settled on gouda smothered fries. Will be sure to go back and try some food and more drinks of course!!

Went for a drink. Ordered a Moscow mule. The waitress had to take my drivers license as “collateral” so I don’t steal the copper mug. She never gave it back. Was leaving town the next morning, called around 9:30. The cook answered with “what do you want?” And was very rude. Also not helpful. An ID is not the best thing to collect as collateral.

Up from Ohio for vacation and found this place. Great place to meet friends and eat. A great environment, with excellent service, and the food was delicious. First, you can't go wrong with free popcorn! BOOM! Then, the crab-spinach-cheese dip will easily feed 4-5 people and was so good! The Public Enemy Burger was one of the best I've ever had anywhere! Highly recommend! Others had the Club sandwich and the burger sliders, and everyone raved about their meals. You can't go wrong here.

Our server was so nice and did a great job! Food and atmosphere was great. Loved the music playing. You can tell the locals come here too!

Bouncer was a self-entitled pr*ck who gets off on taking people's IDs because he has no one who loves him. I literally dined here the day before--no problem, everyone was great. The next day, I got carded and went to the bathroom 10 minutes prior to having my card taken away. Absolutely insane. I've never been treated so disrespectfully. If you're a young woman, I would NEVER recommend this bar to you. Not only was the bouncer awful, but the men in there are itching to bother you (and the female servers). Go to literally any other place.

Dillingers is a decently fine bar and the drinks are decent, not too pricey and fairly priced. The food is meh, but we don't really go to bars for the food anyways lol. The servers we got was training another and was not great incredibly rude and honestly killed the excited after work vibe we came to the bar with. "Is this man bothering you" Do you mean the dude I walked in with? The dude I'm sitting at a table with joking around with? Kinda weird for her to randomly come up to us and start making accusations right off the bat. Either way kinda killed us wanting to come back. Save yourself the time and visit Brady's bar.

Loved the decor at Dillingers. We sat at the bar and had excellent service and conversation. Santa fe chicken egg rolls were perfect. We split the Italian sub and potato chips. It was quiet at 5pm in a Monday.

Walked in and sat ourselves. Was confused if we had to go to bar to get service or not but after a little bit the waitress came over to us. Think she was serving the whole place by herself, she was doing great for all she had on her plate! Had the delicious sweet potato fries with the sweet butter. Got the gyro to eat and it was delectable. It was some of the best bar food I've had, especially because it felt like a basic sports bar. The menu was big and they played into the bootlegger theme extremely well. Found a new favorite drink, Happy Thursdays! Music choice was quite interesting, not exactly good lol. Free popcorn too.

A very nice establishment with 2 sides or restaurant areas. We sat at the bar and had a beer for $5. The hamburgers were very good with chips and a pickle. Cash is less, credit card charge is more, not sure how much.

Up in Traverse during non-peak time, and it just rocks. Beat the crowds and enjoy yourself a bit. Anyway, great experience at this bar. Lots to choose from in TC in Front street, and more for the flash and cash. Not DPBs though, great laid back atmosphere to play a little Keno. Had some cheap keg beer, Coors Light I do believe, and it was cold and delicious. Ordered some wings and fries, and my night was about perfect. This is a great place to just hangout. I strongly suggest and recommend a bar seat and just enjoy. The bartender that night(April 3rd) was so great. Thanks for doing a great job and making way out of towners feel welcome

Bootleggers. Great appetizer. Came in at 7:00 and left at 9:30. Meal ticket lost. No dinner. Have to go home and feed my family. Server was good. I could see I to the kitchen from my seat. They were busy making food but not ours. Oddly the place was emptying out. Begs the question whose food were they cooking.

Beef stroganoff on Wed night. This was amazing at Boot Leggers Bar. Portion was very large and very tasty. This was a special. Call ahead to see if & when they do it again.

Yay!! We made it to Traverse City! We checked into our condo and then decided to explore. There were so many places to choose from. We came in here for a quick drink and chose a quiet spot by the window to sit and people watch while we enjoyed each others company. We didn't eat, just has a drink and moved on. But the atmosphere was warm and the staff and patrons were kind. The drinks were cold and delicious. If you're in the area check it out.

In the end, nice little dive bar with pretty good food. Seated quickly, menus and popcorn in no time, orders for food all in under 10 minutes. Parker, our server, checked on us often for refills and if everything was working for us. Atmosphere is the only knock, for. Best compliment I can give, we would come back.

Terrific place for lunch! The generous 1/2 pound burgers are made with meat provided by the excellent local butcher, MaxBauer. Mine was cooked rare, just as ordered.

Surprisingly good food! The perch on Friday is excellent!! Our waitress Martha was so much fun!!

Very cute little pub with a great atmosphere. We had the southwest egg rolls which were a phenomenal appetizer. My wife enjoyed Honey Sriracha Chicken tacos that featured juicy grilled chicken chunks coated in a sweet sriracha sauce with shredded cabbage. These were very tasty and a cool twist on a taco. I had the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and it was an average flavored pulled pork that could have been juicier and the bbq sauce was a little too sweet. Our only other critique was that plain tortilla chips with your sandwiches is a little odd. Need to add some salsa with them or something. Overall a great place that we will definitely stop at again if passing through!!!

One of the better dive bars in TC. Fun environment, decent bartenders and staff, great popcorn and good music! I've come here every time I've been in TC and have yet to have a bad experience. Drinks come quick and they can accommodate most party sizes. With COVID they're more strict on capacity, we did have to wait outside for a few minutes around 930 PM. There's a lot of fancy places in TC and a lot of bars/restaurants that have a lot to offer. Dillinger doesn't offer a whole lot but has enough to make your night with friends a fun one!

In town for a wedding and decided to grab carry out from this place. Order was wrong, food was terrible and it's pretty hard to mess up bar food. Eggrolls were soggy, chicken tenders dry af (I ordered tacos and received chicken tenders). Obnoxious drunks hanging outside next door. Will not be coming back to this place.

You if want a bar to chill and just talk it's okay. Good music and attentive bar staff. Clean bathrooms and cool old safes in the hallway.

Crap service if your lucky enough squeeze a spot in the bar... bad service that has egos isssues so don't act uptight lol

Dillinger's and their sister bar Bootlegger's combined, not only have the best bar food in town, but their bathroom facilities are great. Not only does Bootlegger's brag a 3 urinal wall, the enclosed pooping area is always clean and fully stocked. I will eat and poop there again.

Great Food. Great ambiance. Great service. The burger was huge and a large amount of fries (they're an up charge from chips), the Italian Sub was the star of the show though, it was amazing! The Sante Fe rolls were good but very cheese heavy, but that's just a preference thing.

Great place. Cristie at the bar was aces. Pepper Jack cheese balls with ranch scratched the bar food itch. Burger was gigantic, cooked perfectly and just what I needed. Atmosphere is 1920's speak-easy. Service was lightning fast. Refreshing old school place with popcorn dropped in front of you minute one. So glad we stopped in, will be back!

Poor service. 10 minute wait for a waitress. 10 minute wait for a coors light. Chicken and wing sauce were not good. Cheese fries were bad. Say sorry to the stomach after this visit. i must admit, scenery and vibe were the best features of this place. Maybe a bad day? Otherwise, would not recommend. Save your money on a better spot.

Great dive bar with exceptional service! After being turned away from what felt like every TC restaurant because of long wait times, we stumbled into Bootleggers. The crab dip was delicious. The perch was okay but the fries stole the show!!! I can't wait to come back and try the poutine- they were out when we ate there.

The food was great but the Management and security staff is really rude except JC he is security and the only cool one Scott the manager & Head of Security James they mis-treat their employees i don't recommend employment to anyone there. James the head of security organizes beat downs, and allows security follow people home to beat them up Scotty the manager allows this to happen at his bar I believe this is true because both customers and employees told me when I was working for these guys I was mis-treated as an employee when I confronted James he got mad asked me illegal questions about my posts and bared me if anyone has experienced any beat downs from this bar & security please come forward and leave a commitment. If you're working for these guys if I were you I would find a different place to work if you don't want to deal with the mis-treatment if you still work there you'll find out how well they treat you

If you like a nice classic bar with unique and elegant design and decor then you need to come here. This place is really awesome and when you walk in you can hear the buzz of the neon sign over the door. The burger was really greasy and they don't tell you that it comes with chips instead of fry's. The chicken is what you should get. The tenders are perfectly done and the chicken sandwich was grilled and still had the right amount of juice in it. My family and I sat on the bar side on a Sunday evening it was quiet and the waitress was very kind to us and my baby. Make sure to take in the ambiance of the beautiful ceiling tiles and the magnificent solid bar top and back. Just an amazing experience. We will definitely come back and take our friends to eat here.

I went in thinking this was an Irish pub, because it came up when I searched for Irish pubs. The only Irish beer they have is Guinness. Only one local beer on tap. Short staffed on Monday - waitress seemed very rushed but was friendly and we enjoyed her. Food was shockingly good. I got hummus and cheese fries. The cheese sauce is amazing, not just nacho cheese from a can. They need better seating though. Tables very wobbly.

Total double standard. All locals are required to wear a mask, but when a party of 15 walks in with no masks nobody says anything. The food was good and the service was great until this incidence.

This could be a really cool place but I seriously think they hate bridal parties. The waitress with the glasses was SO mean. I was asked to use my inside voice which is so comical. We were charged twice for a drink. Why work at a bar if you don't like people drinking? Find another job if you can't deal.

Amazing service from Cyerra! I'm picky as hell when it comes to food but decided to try the pulled pork Sammy and omg!! Best I've ever had next to the butcher themselves. put of town traveler n will only eat here every year we come back to TC!!

These fuckers know how to fry a ball of pepper jack cheese. Love it. Plus free popcorn, score. Also, the bartenders are very sweet and helpful.

I was visiting in from out of town. This place looks like a great place to eat and drink. Spoke to the very friendly waitress who gave me the skinny. All I had was a Diet Coke , however the menu looked great. I would make this my weekend hangout back in VA.

Food taste like paper! Literally no seasoning. Nachos tasted like black bean soup poured on tortilla chips. Pizza was ok. Service was really slow.

We had wings and watched some football. The food was good and the beers were cold. The wait staff was excellent. They were super friendly and attentive.

Stopped in at around noon feeling not quite ready for lunch, as we had a late breakfast, but still hungry as our breakfast was light. The "Outlaw" decor immediately had me hooked the minute we stepped in. We ordered the Pepper Jack Cheese Cubes and the Crab and Spinach dip. The Pepper Jack cheese cubes had the perfect textured breading; not soggy or hard, and the cheese was amazing. The crab and spinach dip was served with pita bread, and was phenomenal! Great portion size for the price, and we ended up taking home the leftovers! Bartenders were very friendly, and wait time for our food was quick! We will DEFINITELY be back!

It's tough to say this, but this is my first review posted ever out of hoping the owner see's it and makes necessary changes. We came in at 5pm for a couple drinks before dinner and could not have been more disgruntled by the staff. I wish we had their names, but the two bartenders were short, rude and genuinely unwelcoming. Very upsetting to see what has become of a typically great atmosphere.

Food was poor. I expected a higher class experience in this higher class neighborhood. There are too many good restaurants for the food to be this poor. Burger I had was made from premade frozen patties. Nothing really bad about the place but nothing good either. Bacon Burger

This place sucked. First of all The California Club that I ordered was dry, and tasted like cardboard basically greasy cardboard. Second, they gave me the wrong drink. It doesn't sound like a big deal and it really isn't but come on. I asked for a Diet Coke because I don't like the sugar and calories in Coke but you'll never guess what I got Regular Coke. I hated the experience and I do not recommend. Trust me it is trash

Came in with a group of 4 on a sweltering day for lunch and drinks, the atmosphere is dark and very tavern-like. I didn't see much on the menu that sounded good for a light lunch so I ended up getting the chicken tenders and a lemonade. The service was really good and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The tenders were good however an hour or so later I did end up getting sick on the car ride home, but I can't say for certain it was the food here. Overall I enjoyed my time here and if I'm ever in the area again I'd like to stop in for a late night drink sometime.

Best service, coldest beer, great deals for hockey or football games and damn good food!! The manager is always available if there's a problem and takes care of it! The staff is stellar. Been going there and recommended it for years. Scotty and the rest of the staff always get 5 stars in my book and if that's not good enough just ask where the Red Wings go during training camp!!

Walked in no one at the front door was confused walked back in after not finding a seat trying to find someone in charge. Bouncer said we were cut off because there lack of attention at the front door thinking we " snuck in" no reasoning with them guy with arm tattoos premeditated aggression cutting us off after arrival. Ruined my st Patrick's day

We came here to kill some time and had burgers at the bar. I wouldn't say the food is amazing but it's pretty good for the price. Nice atmosphere on a weekday but I can say much for the weekends, I always see people smoking outside so I'm sure they get busy at times.

Been over to Dillinger's a few times for drinks. Decided to sit on the Boot Leggers side this afternoon. Just watched one of the cooks who is chewing walk behind the bar and spew his juice into a trash can. Proceeded to watch him wipe his lip with his finger go into a small cooler and grab a container of mayo and some greens with aforementioned hand. He then went into the kitchen to blow a little residual chew into the trash can right next to the flour they use for dredging the fish. I can handle a lot but that is well beyond my threshold. Like the bars but I would consider maybe not eating here. Can't say I've ever seen a cook allowed to chew in the kitchen and with my occupation I have been in a lot of kitchens. Not sure how rate this place so I'll be generous with 3 stars. The owners also reserve two spots at the bar for themselves, classy move.

The bouncer on call tried to take my government issue ID thinking I was underage. He didn't care that I had second forms. Would not recommend this bar to anyone. Someone needs to properly train the staff on what to look for. Would not recommend this place to anyone

Friendly people good service. If you're looking for some good food dont come here. Drink selection isnt very good, but if you are trying to find a cheap beer come here.

What are you looking for? If you are looking for incredibly fair portions of your bar food faves (some having a little twist) at extremely reasonable prices, then please do NOT miss this place. Had the Hot Pepper Cheese Balls, lets just say we had more than enough to take and add to our breakfast burritos the next morning. Chicken tenders were breaded to perfection. Got the mac and cheese pulled pork sandwich, delicious! We basically had enough food for 2.5 meals which took them back to camp for leftovers in all their air fryer goodness. Server/bartender was very friendly and wanted to say "Best Wishes" for your travels to Portugal! If you want simple, delicious, and inexpensive, this is definitely a place for you!
