"A two-alarm fire hit Border Cafe (32 Church St., Cambridge) on Sunday afternoon, December 1, reportedly traveling through the ductwork between the kitchen and roof. It was extinguished in about an hour, and no injuries have been reported. No word yet on how quickly the restaurant will be able to reopen." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Great service with lots of selection of beer and food. Their seafood option are definitely one of my favorites. Their crawfish is very fresh and I really like their creativity of their table setups. Their cajun popcorn is also very good (it's fried shrimp). Parking is relatively easy and there is a parking garage just across the street from the cafe.

We were taking a Hardware tour and one of my friend suggested this restaurant, we went in here and everything was clean. The waiters were really friendly and they helped answer our questions clearly. We ordered Vegetarian Fajitas and Blackened chicken and we absolutely loved both of the dishes. The Blackened chicken was extra ordinary and I bet other food they serve is good as well. I would 100% recommend this restaurant

Authentic Mexican food. Best in town. Very old and popular. My favourite place for the Mexican food. Have a lot of variety for both food and drink menu. My favourite is Chicken Guadalajara with strawberry margarita. Cool ambience. Friendly staff. Very nice to chill out with friends. Suitable for family outings too.

Great food at this local stop! Unlimited salsa and chips are the cherry on top to delicious fajitas and delicious Tex Mex meals - some of it was a bit salty but it’s all so delicious! Argentinian steak and chicken fajitas pictured here.

We went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy, about 20 minute waiting. The meal comes with complementary chips and salsa with huge glass for drinking water. Empalada was amazing. Great service. Quality of food. nice atmosphere. Really recommended for Mexican food lovers

Great vibrant atmosphere and excellent service. Food is well priced and delicious - do yourself a favor and do not leave without trying the guacamole! It makes the perfect accompaniment to the basket of toasty tortilla chips they will keep refilling for you (literally nonstop). Somehow I always manage to eat a little too much here everytime 😉

Our family ate at the Border Cafe in Delaware all the time and we were SO excited to learn about the one in Harvard Square. We made a point to go out of our way to come here for dinner and it did not disappoint! The food is an absolutely incredible value and it's top notch. I highly recommend the fajitas and a house margarita. Everything everyone else at our table got was also amazing, so you really can't go wrong here!

Summary: A must visit spot in Cambridge! for the great Mexican food and the fabulous vibe Full Review: Every time, I visit Cambridge I make it a point to visit this spot. Its one of the best Mexican restaurants I have known. The food here is fabulous, service is good and absolutely great pricing which makes it all the more worth it. I love the vibrant interiors with ample seating and of course the free chips and salsa. As soon as you get seated, after serving drinks they serve free chips and salsa for FREE! The chips keep on coming until your food arrives. Make sure to order a side of guac for your chips. I found the menu pretty vegan/vegetarian friendly. They have section on the back dedicated for vegetarian friendly dishes. The black bean and corn empanadas are my favorite. I also like the veggie jambalaya and the bean burro. The food served is very flavorful and the portion sizes are very generous. Recommendations: Appetizers: Chips & Salsa with Gauc Mains: Black bean and corn empanadas, Veggie Jambalaya
