Google
The perfect Deli, food is wonderful, care to every detail in preparing meals, from fresh cooked turkey to the corned beef, and of course the homemade cookies. family owned, great people, great food and reasonably priced. Only 4 tables to dine in, but with the nice weather, take it to go and enjoy your meal at a park picnic table, 😉

Google
As soon as I walked into this deli, I knew I'd love this place. They have it decorated in a way that makes you feel right at home. Go hungry, and you will still leave with half your sandwich. Thank you Boris!

Google
Y'all are the best. Commig from arkansas we have nothing like this. my hot corn beef sandwich was off the hook. Piled high with beef filled me to the brim. I come up here a couple of times a year and ate at a few other place but this is the best. Will be back as soon as i can. Yall need to come to arkansas and open up shop but anyways thanks for the great sandwich and keep up the great work and hope to see y'all soon thanks a whole lot!!!!!!

Google
Ordered a Ruben with no cheese in stead I got different sandwich with cheese which would have been an issue if I wasn't allergic. We called the store to let them know that they messed up instead the person on the other end gaslighted us about our sandwich and wouldn't listen to the problem. The foods good but the customer service is lacking especially when it comes to allergies.

Google
First time in and we couldn’t be happier! We have driven by so many times over the years and can’t believe we waited to try their food! Cute place , with pleasant staff! Met Uncle Boris too! We had a pastrami/corned beef, swiss, coleslaw with russian dressing, all on grilled light rye bread! The sandwich was so big, I cut it in half and saving for the next day! We will be back! Thank you for the delicious sandwich!

Google
Brought my family here from out of state to experience a real Deli. This place is amazing! It is a must try.. . HUGE Sandwiches, a very reasonable price. I'd say the Reuben has a pound of Corned beef on it. Boris was very friendly, he gave my son a treat when he came in and some desert to try on the way out. They younger guy at the counter, I believe he said he was Boris's nephew. Was fun to chat with and made our experience great! Would gladly come back next time I'm in town.

Google
I was actually excited to try some food around here that wasn’t from a chain restaurant - but this place is a joke. I ordered a club “sandwich” and literally laughed out loud when I opened the box. While yes, these are technically the ingredients to a club sandwich, this is not a sandwich at all… it is literally just a pile of meat and chopped vegetables (that somehow took 20 min to make). The ideal deli sandwich should be able to be held in your hands, and you should get a little bit of *every ingredient in every bite*. This sandwich was NOT that haha… Some of the turkey slices are over a half inch thick, the bread is almost non existent, everything is super dry, and despite the HUGE portions of everything else, I think there were only two measly slices of bacon. So yeah, this place is great if you want a meal to give to your dog or something, but don’t come here expecting anything resembling an actual sandwich.

Google
Such an incredible place to eat! Huge portions, freshly made, amazing selection. The lady at the counter is a peach and always super helpful. Their desserts are made there daily and to die for! There are a few tables inside to eat at as well. Highly recommend!!!

John B.

Yelp
Wow. Great food. Great service. Great value. I will be back. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Thank goodness Boris left Siegels to open this treasure. Another option for folks on the lakes. There's five tables and a few chairs, but, I suspect this is basically a carry-out operation. We first came here after a tip from my dentist. Glorious stories of buying a lb of pastrami and it being so good and hot that they ate it all in the parking lot. Another case of oversized matzoh balls and a tasty broth. They have exceptional meats and a terrific cole slaw. Portions are usually on the large side. However, today's sandwich was a bit skimpy, by comparison. This is also dessert central. Plenty of danish, cookies and 7-layer cake. Prices are actually reasonable for the product received. 10/25

Yelp
First time w/ 92 year old grandma; now will be our happy little place to go. Fresh, fast, huge portions at reasonable prices. WHICH IS RARE NOW! Large menu options. Delicious classic corned beef sandwich and pickle. Family friendly.

Yelp
Stopped in for a required pastrami fix, having read positive reviews. What a great little deli gem without the the extortion pricing at deli's on Orchard Lake Rd. Excellent sandwich, fair prices without the W. Bloomfield tax and attitude. Loved it. When in the suburbs, Boris's is it for me. When in the city, Hygrade.

Sherry H.

Yelp
We had pastrami sandwiches, pickles, onion rings and chicken noodle soup and split pea. All was delicious.

Yelp
I don't know how long Boris's deli has been here, but I'm a fan. My friend recommended it, and I'm glad she did. Walking in, the place is super small. Maybe three tables, total but that's it. We wanted to sit down, but it seems like more of a carryout more than anything else. The menus very thorough with everything from Matzo Ball soup, to chopped liver and latkes as well. While I love all of these dishes, I wanted my traditional fan fare of a hot pastrami on Rye. My friend got the same dish as well, and let me tell you, it's delicious! We split an appetizer of chopped liver and it was really good. Not as good as my grandmas, but very very good.Fresh veggies were served with it, and we ate almost the whole thing. The gal at the counter was patient with us, as we're a tough crowd to take orders from. My friend's from New York, has to have it her way and, well, I am me and just a pain all around. LOL. She did a fabulous job of answering our questions, getting our order right, and all that jazz. I would love to eat here again and next time, I'm doing the Matzo Ball soup!

Yelp
A neighbor picked up an order for me today on their special deal.... Buy 1 pound of meat for $14.99 a pound and get the second pound for $1 more. I wanted lean corned beef and 1 pound of brisket. She was told that lean was an extra $1 and the brisket was also an extra $1. My neighbor bought other items on her credit but the meats were on my card. My receipt was $24.99! I called for an explanation. I was told that other things were included on my receipt, which is not itemized and they could not explain. I was told the meats were $2 over the special price of $14.99. That would have made it $16.99. The son who I spoke to could not explain why my receipt was $24.99 instead of $16.99. $8 overcharge? They also have changed the brisket they are selling and could not explain why they would not advise the customer that they are now selling hickory smoked "nasty" brisket instead of their usual "Jewish style" roasted beef! The father(Boris) was rude and said that's the brisket he has now!! I think we should have been told about the change in meat and could decide if we wanted that meat or not. We do not eat hickory smoked anything and will not be eating it. A waste of money. Boris' Deli has lost a customer! BEWARE‼

Yelp
Great food cooked to order. Because it's cooked to order sometimes you will have to wait but it's worth every minute and penny.
google avatar

Franz S.

Yelp
The corned beef and pastrami sandwiches are the bomb! If you're in the neighborhood they are worth a try for sure.
google avatar

Bruce D.

Yelp
Giant sandwiches they are outstanding and cheaper than some of the more well known delis. The service is always fast and friendly and although the building is small it is always clean. This is one of my favorite sandwich places.
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
Best pastrami sandwich this side of Brooklyn! The peorogis were also amazing, served with nicely caramelized grilled onions. Small seating area to dine in. Also home made treats that looked good.

Anne S.

Yelp
Family run business. Incredible value for what you get. Favorite place for deli in the area. Hot brisket sandwich with homemade mashed potatoes and coleslaw is delicious and huge. Husband loves the Reuben. Plan on carry out taking about 25 minutes they are that busy. Quick and friendly service every time. Wish they had a store in Volusia County Florida area where we live for most of the winter as I've tried every deli there and nothing compares. My granddaughter said she hopes they have multiple generations to keep the business going when she's an adult. Limited seating inside but definitely consider trying it out. We usually get carry out and drive a half hour but it's worth the trip.

Zachary A.

Yelp
Ordered 1/2 sandwich and soup, potato latkes, and a soda over the phone. Charged for and received a full sandwich of rubbery off-putting corned beef. It was missing Russian dressing and pickles (which are supposed to be included). Total was $29.66!! As a jewish person, Boris Deli does not meet the expectation for a jewish deli. Their corned beef is of lower quality and improperly prepared. You can get a real jewish deli sandwich for the same price and higher quality at other establishments. Go to Stage Deli, Steve's Deli, or Siegel's Deli if you want the BEST quality sandwich and soup experience. Secondary options like Bronx Deli, Val's, and Pickles and Rye are decent as well. Boris Deli is the worst Jewish Deli in MI.

Mark L.

Yelp
Great sandwich! Fair price for the fine quality of the corned beef.I'll be back. Next time I want a pickle!
google avatar

Brad S.

Yelp
First time here and was completely blown away. The sandwiches are bigger than most the delis in the area for about $4 less. Please check this place out!!!! But don't tell too many people. It's a mostly take out place with a few tables.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Boris's Deli has a large selection, hefty helpings and real deli food. Fun friendly cook and check out. Everything is big!

Ben G.

Yelp
Yum corned beef/reuben. Maybe I was just expecting full service, so I subtract 1 star cuz I hate eating out of styrofoam container when I'm dining out.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Found on Yelp while traveling. Reviews were spot on. Nice, family owned business (a regular patron told us as we were waiting on our sandwiches. ) sandwiches were huge! Tasted excellent, very competitively priced. One sandwich could have easily have been shared by 2. Deserts were also tasty, and they had several choices. Highly recommended this shop. Well worth the stop. Small & quaint. All made to order.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Super sized delicious sandwiches! Got a lettuce wrapped sandwich and it's enough for two big meals. Very satisfying and fresh. They are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Lindsey D.

Yelp
As someone who frequents delis in the metro Detroit area, Boris's is my new favorite. The food is excellent with great service. I just ordered a deli tray for a party and it was a big hit. The coleslaw is fantastic, which is important for good sandwiches. The meat was top quality.
google avatar

Jody K.

Yelp
I went back to Boris' because I was in the area. They had THREE signs that said "All meats, buy one get one free". So, I asked for a half pound each of corned beef and rare roast beef. They charged me full price. I explained to them that their signs did not say "Buy one POUND, get one POUND free", but they refused to concede. So, I upped it to a pound each. The rare roast beef was very good. Tender, nicely cooked and flavored. By the corned beef just tasted...well, not like the Jewish deli corned beef I'm used to. I also ordered the mishmash soup. The matzo ball was tasteless -- it was as if they didn't put any salt in it. The noodle around the kreplach was so thin that it fell off. Lots of noodles in the soup as well. They did not include any bread or crackers, either. Sorry to say that I don't plan to return here; there are other delis that I much prefer.
google avatar

Anita P.

Yelp
First time there. Extremely small place but the take outs were coming in hot! The cook was truly running due to all the orders coming in. It was a bit of a wait for our food but well worth it. The corned beef sandwich was one of the best. No fat, very tender and delicious. The female taking orders was friendly and doing her best to keep us as well. She apologized for timing but it was beyond her control. She knew just about everyone that came in for a take out order! If you can order ahead and don't mind the wait or if you can stop in when not in a rush, I highly suggest it!

Yelp
Coming in on a Saturday, they weren't busy at all; two people waiting at the counter and a couple of folks coming in for take away. My wife sought after the French toast, and I got a cup of the matzo ball soup and the hot turkey dinner with mash and gravy. French toast: fluffy challah bread, light cinnamon, but a LOT of egg. It resembled someone pouring scrambled egg on a flat top, then placing the bread on it. IMO. There was a bit too much egg; about as much egg as as many times as I have SAID egg. Lol. Matzo ball soup: REALLY good broth, light veggies and thin noodles (resembled Cup of noodles soup from Lipton. Matzo ball was basic on flavor; nothing too stellar. Hot turkey and mash: ok, this was an open faced sandwich with gravy on it (beef gravy). Thick slices of what was basically deli meat turkey, and thick bread. Add some mash potatoes and some beef gravy (not sure why if it's turkey), and you have a decent lunch. Star of the show: Potato salad. I could eat THIS by the crate. Lightly sweet, lots of flavor and just the right texture for the potato. Overall, it was good. Would I frequent again?.... Yeah, I would. Lots of things to try. And anywhere with Sy Ginsburg corned beef, you can't go wrong.

Yelp
This is a super small Jewish deli that we passed by going to the veterinary to get shots for our dog and ordered Kreplach soup that is triangular dumplings filled with ground meat, boiled and served in soup. First time ever trying this soup and it's delicious on a cold day it's a perfect comfort food. We also ordered liver pate and had it with crackers and mustards. Very good liver pate and it's so rare to see places even sell it. The restaurant does have a very interesting menu and super friendly owners who love the food industry but also love people. It's a very clean restaurant and we definitely will be back to try more menu items and are pleased we discovered this gem. They have a deli counter and deli trays and I certainly see why it's one of the highest rated delis in Michigan.

Yelp
I have been passing by this Deli on almost a daily basis and have never noticed it before until I saw their five star rating in Yelp the other day. Five stars??? How can a Deli be five stars? Well cutting to the short, I was floored at how good my Rueben was as I was left licking my fingers following the last bite. The Corn beef was absolutely fabulous and the Sandwich was so large that my wife and I split it leaving both of us full. Additionally the order of Fries was equally large, crunchy and tasty where we still had some left at the end of the meal (My dog thanks you Boris). Don't let the appearance fool you as this place has a little bit of a hole in the wall feel to it. It is absolutely worth your time to check this place out but be warned, the large sandwiches may be more than you can handle and this is definitely a place where sharing/splitting works well. A resounding Five stars for Boris. I cant wait to sample more sandwiches from my new favorite deli.....

Yelp
Hands down the best deli I've ever had. We ordered carry-out this week and were very impressed. The owners were so friendly/helpful with recommendations, so that's a big plus! I ordered Aysel's Sandwich (turkey reuben) and my boyfriend ordered Bennett's Wrap (chicken tender wrap with lettuce and cheese). Both were huuuuge --see photos-- and delicious. We ordered Matzo Ball soup on the side and grabbed a container of fresh potato salad as well. Every item we tried tasted flavorful and fresh. We were especially pleased with the portion sizes for the price! I'm looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend stopping in.

Yelp
Awesome awesome awesome So I got a full Reuben for dinner with fries Ended up on able to eat 1/2 of it for dinner. Next days lunch on the skillet with two fresh pieces of bread and I had an awesome lunch. Would make sure to pick up a extra two pieces of bread as I did for the next day as the bread will be too wet. Those extra pieces of bread and the half of the left overs made an awesome single size sandwich. I am full as I write . Will definitely be back and you should go

walter s.

Yelp
Like a New York Jewish deli just not in New York and without the New York prices. Sandwiches are stacked high, everything fresh and they appreciate your business. Go there you won't regret it!

Tony L.

Yelp
Never disappointed here . . . Was my mainstay during the pandemic! Nice food portions and quality ingredients.

Rochelle K.

Yelp
We ordered a Dairy Tray. There was an abundance of Lox tuna and egg salad and other accessories. GREAT VALUE and People are still talking about it. Will definitely be ordering again from Boris Thank you
google avatar

Linda T.

Yelp
Anything you order here is going to be great! This place is off the hook if you like deli food you are going to be quite happy!
google avatar

Thomas N.

Yelp
Do you want "just" a sandwich or do you want a SANDWICH??? It's small, it's family owned, it's one of the best places I've eaten at and I travel a lot (I'm a pilot). My co worker got the Reuben and it was MASSIVE. Like he couldn't eat it all massive. I got the chicken Caesar wrap. It came out with a fresh cooked chicken breast that filled the wrap. A good dressing to dip in. Simple and amazing. It has a few two person tables so if it's busy you may not have a place to sit. Plan on ordering and taking it out to a local park to enjoy. Highly recommend!!!!!!
google avatar

Stacy K.

Yelp
Best corned beef in town, finally a good deli in the area! Boris's was very busy which is nice, I hope this small business thrives. The prices were fair compared to similar delis in the area, and the portions were way bigger! The corned beef sandwiches were piled high like the ones from my childhood whereas the other delis sandwiches are thinner and stingier. The bread was fresh and chewy. The mushroom barely soup was nice and savory, but the matzah ball soup was watery and lacked salt and flavor. We ate there, and the staff told us they would serve us our food, but instead left it at the counter for us to serve ourselves, yet brought the food out to other customers. Still we plan on frequenting this business and hope it continues to offer both quality, quantity, and value,

Yelp
This place is wonderful! Sandwiches are huge and wonderful, soups are great!! If you are local, you need to try this place!!

John S.

Yelp
Awesome deli. Great food. Great portions. Great service. Will make it our go to deli from now on. Recommend it to everyone.
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
I've been to this deli twice within the last week and everything I've gotten has been amazing. The sandwiches are loaded up and everything inside is delicious. The Ruben, the west Bloomfielder, Aysel's, the hot turkey sandwich, skip's, fries, coke slaw. The owners are so kind and helpful with ordering. Everything there is homemade and they even have desserts!! I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
The best deli around! Incredible sandwiches, soups, and sides. Highly recommended to anybody with an appetite.

Nancy D.

Yelp
Amazing! So glad I stumbled across this place. Breadless sandwiches are great, corned beef is amazing and they even have dessert!
google avatar

Hilary W.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! The sandwiches are stacked high (I only eat half for lunch) & their prices are great! Definitely give them a try - you'll get your money's worth...and I highly recommend the #6!

Art P.

Yelp
Best Deli around! Huge sandwich's, wonderful corn beef. Quick service, everything is made to order.
google avatar

Lu F.

Yelp
Looking for that traditional stacked high Ruben or half Ruben half pastrami this is your place! They make their own thousand island sauce-amazing:) :) Great homemade coleslaw too. Love their Swiss cheese. Go in and order the meat by the pound and the cheese. Sometimes buy one pound of meat get one free? Only thing missing is sweet pickles! There are many grilled foods, dinners and soups. Inside is small but does offer a few sit in tables. Mostly we just do take out! Call ahead too!

Pj J.

Yelp
Great big sandwiches! Enough for at least 2 meals. Worth the drive. All the desserts are home made. Lower sugar.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Friendly greeting when you walk in? Check. Great quality at affordable prices? Check. More meat than you can eat? Check. Pretty much the epitome of a great deli.
google avatar

Gary C.

Yelp
Best Deli in Oakland County! We've been to all of them and this is the best, huge menu for such a small joint. The owners work incredibly hard to make sure everything is perfect! Try everything on the menu they are not missing a thing. Fresh , fresh , fresh we have even had them cater some big groups for us. This family owned and operated business deserves your support forget the chain pre packaged crap GET TO BORIS`S NOW!

Connor B.

Yelp
Amazing service and amazing food. You can tell they make all of their food with passion. The price is good for the amount of food you get. This is probably my favorite food establishment around.
google avatar

Beth C.

Yelp
Super friendly owners (who are the ones taking orders and cooking) and THE BEST REUBEN in the area!
