I was heading back to my hotel and noticed Bosa donuts, and that they had a sign out in front that said the best donuts in Arizona and that they are open 24 hours. As a journeyman Baker, one who has done a lot of consulting for bakeries, and a person who has made tens of thousands of donuts, myself, I am a massive donut snob. Not surprisingly, historically my favorite donuts are either the ones I have made when I was a full-time Baker or Randy's donuts in LA. I want light golden donuts with a beautiful white ring, indicating that they raised nicely in the fryer, and when I eat them, I want to have to handle them carefully so that I don't squish them, they are so soft and succulent. Often, I walk into a donut place, look at the case and just walk out. But the donuts here looked wonderful and so I bought a coconut custard doughnut, that's a filled donut with Bavarian cream, glazed, and then toasted. Coconut sprinkled on top. The donut was everything I hoped for - soft, melt in your mouth and delicious. The glaze was not too thick, not like crispy cream which I can only take a bite or two and then I get not disgusted.l by the sickening sweetness and denseness. The toasted coconut had a nice crunch to, not soggy, and the Bavarian cream was not the cheap stuff that tastes sour and artificial. She also gave us glazed donut holes that was perfectly soft and fresh. I used to live in Flagstaff Arizona and have traveled to the Mesa Phoenix area many many times, as we have family down here. I'm gonna have to agree with them that they make the best donuts in Arizona, at least out of the ones that I've tasted in the state so far. I recommend them completely and the lady behind the counter indicated that they are indeed trying to make the very best donuts in Arizona and they will stand behind them, so don't be shy, this is your go to place for donuts in Arizona.
