The Best Late-Night Phoenix Eats | Eater Phoenix

"Any true Phoenix native knows Bosa Donuts. The now-iconic donut chain started in Chandler in 1994 and has since expanded all over the valley. Bosa Donuts is everything you want in a donut shop: it’s affordable, most locations have a drive-thru, and of course, the donuts are always fluffy. With most locations open 24/7, you can satisfy your craving for taro, honeydew, or watermelon smoothies, donuts, or breakfast sandwiches whenever you want." - McConnell Quinn

At first I thought they were rude, but after several visits over 10 years, I figured out that it’s really a language barrier and cultural difference thing. So have some patience people! Everything I’ve had here has been delicious. I’m a plain glazed donut fan (twist, crumble, cinnamon roll), but the other types are good just not my thing—To Sweet for me. I love the ham and cheese croissant too.

Google
BoSa Donuts is an absolutely wonderful donut shop in every possible way! Great, fresh selection, and lovely staff members. We asked for a nice cross section of 2 dozen donuts, and mentioned that we'd also like an apple fritter in a separate bag, (at an additional change, of course.) The young lady actually included 2 fritters in our boxes, at no additional charge. We also got 2 iced coffees that were great as well! Any time we're in the area we'll go out of our way to go here, for sure!

Google
Great donuts but I can't get enough of the blended drinks! Way better than any other business the Valley. Can't wait to return again and again.

Google
So this dumb girl first forgets to charge me for one drink then after I had already paid $16 for a drink and a sandwich asks me to pay for the other drink since she forgot. I didn’t care for the drink at that point after paying $16 for two things from a donut shop so I told her to keep the drink I didn’t want it anymore (mostly cause I didn’t want to break a $100) . She gives me my stuff, I go home and when I get there it’s donuts in the bag after ordering a sandwich. Already annoyed from the whole drink thing I go back and waste my time and gas to get my order corrected and I asked if I could get the other drink since I had to go back and waste my gas she said the boss won’t let me do that. Just an overall terrible experience at this bosas and it’s not the first!

Google
It's always hit or miss on whether the donuts are fresh. I bought a half dozen this weekend, got home and they were as dry as a brown paper bag. I don't understand it. I won't be back and I really don't think they give a darn.

Braids247

Google
Very Chilled Atmosphere . We walked in and I was able to take our time to look over menu. All welcomed to enjoy. I tried their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Donut and a ice blended Mocha Drink . My youngest had a BlueBerry Snow Cone . We sat down and enjoyed our treats . I also left business card if needed

If you're like me, I am a donut person, and I don't like bagels. I love Bosa Donuts they have a lot a variety of all sorts of donuts that I love and can't get enough of LOL, and the girls at the counter were very nice.

Rachel Davidson

Google
Used the drive thru. When I asked for a mangonada she could not understand me, I asked several times. Finally I concluded they obviously did not make them at this location. Otherwise, all was great as usual.

Yelp
Bosa is the best! Great selection of donuts and sandwiches (both breakfast and lunch) Friendly staff who helped us with our order. Plenty of seating nice quiet atmosphere

Yelp
I love bosa donuts, they're all consistently good and this location specifically always has great/ fast service, as well as super fresh and great quality doughnuts here ! The sandwiches are another favorite of mine the turkey sandwich croissant is actually amazing perfect amount of mayo, love the addition of the pickled jalapeños inside , good ratio of meats and veggies. Perfection!

Yelp
Sweet treats on a Sunday! Stopped by the nearest Bosa to get a dozen. The area is run-down, and it's inside a somewhat busy strip mall, but at least it's drive-thru! There were 3 other cars ahead of us and two behind us, the line went by quickly! Our overall waittime was 7 minutes. Service was very nice and efficient!

Yelp
The food is good and fresh. Service is great and the staff works hard to be swift with the orders. The ambiance is settle. I would stop here for a meal and thier sandwiches are really good.

Vicente C.

Yelp
Over all decent food and beverages. Honestly these last couple months I've been getting this older Latina women, man does she give off such a weird vibe. First of all tip option is for us to decide whether you deserve it or not. Not only that every single time she makes me pay before making my sandwich and of course I always put no tip because why she's doing her job, I sometimes ask for extra meat on my sandwich. She gives me a half a** sandwich I kid you not there was more bread then anything else. Anyways this is my opinion

Lidia V.

Yelp
Don't go to this location!!!!!! I just had a terrible experience at this location. My husband and I were waiting to place our order in the drive thru and we waited for 5 mins until my husband pulled up to the window and a the lady that takes the orders came up to the window and asked "what do you want" with and attitude and my husband said we were waiting in drive thru for 5 mins and she said "I didn't hear anything" and she proceeded again "what do you want" and my husband said our order and she stated there was no donut holes so my husband decided to cancel the order. I will never go back to this location. Rude rude rude rude!!!!!!! 0 stars
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
Great donuts as usually. Don't think Bosa can make bad donuts. It's the customer service that sucks. 2 girls only focusing on drive thru and not the 10 people standing here waiting. Not even a we'll be right with u nothing. Maybe hire some more people. Also the bathrooms don't work.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Just okay. Very typical Mom-And-Pop style donut shot except for the fact that there's nothing to write home about with the quality or price point of their donuts. They also have tons of sandwiches and boba drinks advertised that I did not try. I liked the crisp on their Apple Fritter and the ham, cheese and jalapeño croissant was just okay.

David B.

Yelp
went by there this morning about 6:55am. I greeted the heavier set lady because she didn't greet me she continued doing whatever she was doing she even walked right in front to grab a box of premade donuts rolled her eyes and walked away. Yet I still waited then another lady came out and she did the same exact thing so I walked out because I felt offended. I will not spend my hard earned money on no damn store with rude employees that don't know how to greet or appear low racist. I loved Bosas but I will never go to that one again. SMH IM STARTING TO NOTICE A TREND WHEN RUNNING INTO CERTAIN PEOPLE.

Julianne F.

Yelp
Fresh delicious doughnuts and they're open 24/7. They also have colache which I'm looking forward to trying next time.

Philip S.

Yelp
I was in the mood for two of my favorite donuts. I stopped at the Country Club and Southern location and asked for an apple fritter and a buttermilk. the total came to $3.44. If the donuts had been decent size I would say that the prices are much higher than a few years ago, but still justifiable. But the apple fritter was so small, at least half the size the used to be, there's just no excuse other than greed to charge $1.70 for that minuscule donut. Fry's has bigger and better looking apple fritters for $0.89. I'm cross Bosa off my list as go-to places for donuts. (I had a similar experience at another location in Mesa, so it seems the greed is happening at a chainwide level).

Yelp
I was heading back to my hotel and noticed Bosa donuts, and that they had a sign out in front that said the best donuts in Arizona and that they are open 24 hours. As a journeyman Baker, one who has done a lot of consulting for bakeries, and a person who has made tens of thousands of donuts, myself, I am a massive donut snob. Not surprisingly, historically my favorite donuts are either the ones I have made when I was a full-time Baker or Randy's donuts in LA. I want light golden donuts with a beautiful white ring, indicating that they raised nicely in the fryer, and when I eat them, I want to have to handle them carefully so that I don't squish them, they are so soft and succulent. Often, I walk into a donut place, look at the case and just walk out. But the donuts here looked wonderful and so I bought a coconut custard doughnut, that's a filled donut with Bavarian cream, glazed, and then toasted. Coconut sprinkled on top. The donut was everything I hoped for - soft, melt in your mouth and delicious. The glaze was not too thick, not like crispy cream which I can only take a bite or two and then I get not disgusted.l by the sickening sweetness and denseness. The toasted coconut had a nice crunch to, not soggy, and the Bavarian cream was not the cheap stuff that tastes sour and artificial. She also gave us glazed donut holes that was perfectly soft and fresh. I used to live in Flagstaff Arizona and have traveled to the Mesa Phoenix area many many times, as we have family down here. I'm gonna have to agree with them that they make the best donuts in Arizona, at least out of the ones that I've tasted in the state so far. I recommend them completely and the lady behind the counter indicated that they are indeed trying to make the very best donuts in Arizona and they will stand behind them, so don't be shy, this is your go to place for donuts in Arizona.

Yelp
When I crave donuts I go to Bosa Donuts!! It is low, decent price for excellent tasting donuts . They have a great variety of donuts. And you can call in a type of donut and they'll make it for you. They are big size donuts too. They are open 24/7!!
google avatar

Lourdes V.

Yelp
I work by this location and when I'm having a long day sometimes a donut makes it better. Staff is always friendly and ready to help.. the display cases are always full.. donuts are fresh .. and oh so good. they have other food and drink options but I stick to the basics .. they're also open 24 hours and have a drive thru and plenty of parking.

Yelp
Been a fan of Bosa since I moved over to AZ so had to drop by this location when I was passing by. My favorite so far has been the blueberry cake donut which is a perfect cross between a slice of cake and a delicious donut. I haven't encountered any service issues at this location but perhaps I'm just dropping by when certain people are working. Donuts are great and if you are in the area, drop by and grab some. Hopefully the service issues that others have complained of have been resolved or will be resolved soon!

Fernando S.

Yelp
Placed a phone order and waited at the drive thru window for 9+ minutes without being greeted. It felt intentional not being greeted! They didn't look busy tbh. Maybe phone orders are suppose to be Walk-Ins and not drive thru pick ups ‍
google avatar

Gregor H.

Yelp
Went here this morning in the drive thru to get a few donuts while I was waiting there was an employee standing outside by the entrance smoking his cigarette and spitting very unprofessional and unattractive to see this pick a different place to smoke not in front of the customers view just a suggestion I don't think I'll come back to this location was rather disgusting and a turn off for sure
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
I got a Buttermilk doughnut but almost didn't get anything. The other Bosa on southern ave that isn't too far away from this one doesn't have a intercom that you can order on you have to order at the window so I thought this one would be the same way. I got to the window and the lady told me I had to go around again to order even though I was already waiting for like 10 minutes. I somehow convinced her to sell me one doughnut and then decided to tip just so she can get me some wax paper for me to eat my doughnut and not have to touch it with my dirty hands, the lady said she didn't have any wax paper and got mad at me. They didn't have the chocolate butter milk I wanted. I had to settle for the regular buttermilk. The lady at the window in the drive thru was really rude. I'm going to go to the other one on southern from now on. This place has no customer service.

Ralph L.

Yelp
It can be busy but this location seems to have the best and most consistent tasting donuts of all the locations. For example, several other locations make donuts but with less tasty ingredients and not as fresh.
google avatar

Sierra V.

Yelp
I love this BoSa! They are not rude ever and always very patient when me and my daughter come in. We loooove their smoothies! The donuts are always fluffy and delicious. 10/10
google avatar

Andy L.

Yelp
I've heard quite a few great things about Bosa donuts from several different people. I think Bosa has done a wonderful job of marketing because the donuts really aren't that awesome. I don't know I just wasn't that impressed. I think rainbow donuts is quite a bit better. I grabbed a dozen for the office and the lady behind the counter was all business, not friendly at all. All it really takes is a smile and a nice warm greeting but apparently this person wasn't capable of that. I really don't care if the person serving the donuts isn't that friendly just so long as the donuts are amazing. In this case I was disappointed with the overall quality and taste of the donuts so for that reason I probably won't be going back.

Yelp
Hate this dirty area but it's near Bookmans and Samurai Comics so it's convenient. Went through the drive thru to get a boba drink, the building looks abandoned and the window is covered in signs and a garbage bag. Once the drink was passed through a plastic sheet the girl inside said, "next time wear a mask or we will cancel your order".... It's 110 today, I'm in my car, the wall/window faces south and is probably 150 degrees. I don't think she needs to worry about the virus. Maybe she was just trying to be polite, but it came off rude. I can go elsewhere, but I'm not sure this location can afford to start turning away customers. The drink itself was good. The only thing that saved this review.
google avatar

Yasseen A.

Yelp
If you want try the best Donuts come here. The donuts were fresh and delicious. Their customers service is great, I walked in and was helped right away. Definitely recommend going here .
google avatar

Christopher R.

Yelp
They're open 24 hours and let's be honest it's hard not to stop when you pass by. They're as Arizona as hot summer days. The only thing is they tend to be sold out of a lot of stuff a lot of times depending on when you go. That's the only real downside. You have to be flexible on your choices or you're going to be devastated. Let's face it though, you're not going to drive away empty handed!

Darren J.

Yelp
This place needs a new morning worker! There at 4:30a to get some donuts before work and she had an attitude on the drive thru speaker. I ignored that, but when I pulled up to the window. She gave me an attitude after asking politely to add an orange juice and she gave me an ugly look and said "anything else sir" and rolled her eyes after. I almost reached over and slapped her, but I had a good sleep. I get it it's early, but don't show up with an attitude when customers are being nice to you.
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Horrible customer service! I have placed 3 orders on DoorDash, all 3 were canceled because the order could not be fulfilled.... I called to ask what they had so that I could place my order accordingly, the lady on the phone had a horrible attitude.
google avatar

Yolanda And Mike O.

Yelp
Traveling from out of state and heard good things about Bosa donuts. Since there was one close I decided to check it out after getting off work. I read the reviews prior and a lot of people complained about the attitudes of the people who worked there, but since i would be coming off a night shift I didn't want to search for a different one. Well, they weren't lying. The person at the drive thru was less than friendly. Donuts were kind of dry, wondering if since it's a 24hour spot they have been sitting out for awhile. My breakfast sandwich was laughable, I wish you could feel how hard this bagel was with a cold piece of sausage just thrown in the middle. I don't understand how someone can put that sandwich together and think it's acceptable. Ultimately this place was a bust.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
Donuts are very good. Apple fritter off the chain. Customer service is not their focus, but that's ok I am not hangin out. I enjoy their donuts a lot.
google avatar

Sabrina B.

Yelp
Are usually have bad experiences at this donut shop, however my last visit was very disappointing. I waited in line about 15 minutes before someone would come to the window, and then when the lady came she was not shallot. Maybe it was just her, but I was very disappointed with the unnecessary wait time, having nobody in front of me.
google avatar

Carla J.

Yelp
This place used to be so much better customer service wise. Not sure if there was a change in management or what. The girls that work here are THE WORST. Literally every time I order something is missing. I don't like to complain because I have worked in drive thru service myself and understand mistakes happen. But literally every time I come here it's always something. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and the lady never bothered to mention there was no roast beef. I ordered another sandwich for a coworker and donuts. Sure enough, no roast beef sandwich. I come inside and explain the situation and the female behind the counter is super rude saying it was my fault because I parked too close to the speaker and their headsets must not be working correctly. Learn how to do your job and if you know the headsets are an issue then fix it. Common sense you clearly don't have.

Ermanie H.

Yelp
We were in the line for over 10 mins for a 16oz smoothie that wasn't even full by the time we got it.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Customer service not good didn't even say have a good day and seemed annoyed taking our order through the drive thru and our donuts were hard like a gas station donut however the drinks were decent but would I come again? no.
google avatar

Patrick H.

Yelp
Has to be the worse customer service ever. If I could score a zero I would have. The lady helping me constantly kept placing donuts into the box I didn't even ask for. And the donuts she picked out were the absolute worst. It was like she was trying to get rid of all the bad looking ones. If I said this donut she picked a different donut every damn time. Sick, absolutely sick!! Maybe she should concentrate on listening more then picking what ever the "Hell" she wants..

Morgan L.

Yelp
Let me give an honest review of this place. Background: I've been coming to this bosa for a little over 3 years now because it is closely located near where I live - convenient! I love bosa because they 'used to be' cheap. However, this location in particular has some major issues that need fixing. 1) My food is ALWAYS. I mean EVERY. TIME. WRONG. Literally WRONG. Whether they forget to add an ingredient, completely switch the meal I wanted originally; nine times out of ten, before you leave the drive thru take the time YOU DO HAVE to check what YOU PAID FOR. 2) Tipping before you receive your food has become so normalized but honestly? I never tip here because, again, 9 times out of 10, they will fuck up your food. Tips literally means "to ensure perfect service." Where? Because it has never improved. 3) when they mess up your food, and you let them know, they'll give you 2 options: - Bring BACK the product they messed up so they can see for themselves that you are in fact, not lying (which is a health code violation because cross contamination from taking the food BACK!?) - You are SOL. 4) they'll tell you they can't make something even though you may have had it previously - for example, a vanilla chai. 3 times this has happened where I've gone to order a vanilla chai, and all 3 times they said they couldn't make it. I pushed back and let them know they have in the past, then voila! They pull the drink out of their ass and it tastes like it always had. So just honestly learn from this. Check your meals before you leave. Don't tip until afterwards. Make sure you push back on what can and can't be done because these people, although sweet and customer service oriented, are fucking lazy. Thanks!
google avatar

Bryan F.

Yelp
The gal in the drive through was such a grump. Not only do they have plastic like most drive throughs up but they make you wear a mask. When she came to the window she demanded i put on my mask and points to a small sign hand written on a top torn off a brown cardboard boxTo bad their donuts are good. But I will not be back to this location.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Such good donuts but sllllloooooowwwwweeeesst drive through ever. 3-5 minute wait between each car just giving their order. It's usually not like this so I'm hoping this is just a phase that they'll get resolved.
google avatar

Matt M.

Yelp
Our favorite doughnuts...well, anywhere. Soft and sweet and sometimes a little crunchy. Everything a doughnut should be. We once made the mistake of buying a dozen for our neighbors and after that they would always ask for them, and swear they were the best doughnuts they'd ever tasted. Their old fashioned glazed is my favorite, along with the coconut cream, which is stupendous. Wash those down with a coconut or strawberry boba slush! This is our one must-have stop when we come to the Valley. I am sure you will love their food too!
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Love Bosa donuts! Everytime I go here, the donuts are fresh tasting and delicious. I really like the bear claw here as one of my go to's. It's pretty big and delicious filled with plenty of apple bits. I also like the boba drink specifically the honeydew boba. Yummy! I do wish the boba was a little more fresh tasting like if you go to a boba place but still delicious when you're on the go. Bosa donuts has a bunch of locations throughout the valley so check them out when you can
google avatar

Asia G.

Yelp
Holy mother of god, these are good donuts. Say goodbye to my diet, I am feasting on donuts today. Plain glazed, you cant go wrong. Chocolate glazed with sprinkles & toasted coconut. Yes, I stuffed my face silly. But not to worry I will make up for it with three hours of workout at the gym tomorrow.
google avatar

Jimmy E.

Yelp
Don't come here for donuts go to other location they will mess your order up on purpose if you don't put a mask on in Drive through. This most be the new American while they have a plastic bag covering there drive thru window not plexiglass like every other business worried about Covid
google avatar

Sydney N.

Yelp
Went through the drive thru this morning and had a miscommunication with the lady at the window after payment was taken. I've been in the restaurant industry and know what a pain people can be so i made sure to be extra extra apologetic for my mistake.. the attitude and plain look of disgust was flabbergasting. i know it was early for both of us but she practically slammed the window mid convo and i waited for a few min until a different gal came back to the window. she then basically THREW my refund at me and huffed and puffed about my order change. i wasn't going to make a review until i saw the dozen others about customer service! super sad i wish they would make a change.. i love their food!

Andrew T.

Yelp
They didn't make the sandwiches we asked for and didn't remake them when we called and asked because they said they were cleaning. What kinda 24/7 place can make food at 11pm. I Shouldn't have left a tip
google avatar

Jerry D.

Yelp
Best donuts around. Don't go Saturday or Sunday morning or you will be waiting in a very long line. If you want donuts for breakfast program three before around 2 PM. They will still be fresh and delicious for the next day
google avatar

C B.

Yelp
Just left this location and they gave us the wrong order. Returned home and realized the mistake. Called back and they told us to return the donuts. My issue with this...is the owner asking to return the donuts when there is a virus spreading. As consumers we are not guaranteed that they will not put the donuts back into the inventory. Double check your order and make sure it is correct. We are going to take the loss of money over this to ensure these donuts are not put back in their cases.

M E.

Yelp
The worst!!! Super Rude. I walked in and I was never acknowledged. Then when I asked if I was going to be helped because I wanted to pay for my drink "Janie" just walked away.
google avatar

Jo B.

Yelp
So I stop for a dozen fancy donuts and a dozen regular donuts and a blended Carmel coffee. What I get is a 3 count of 4 different fancy donuts, a half dozen of regular and no coffee...the kid at the window had a personality of a wet mop and moved about as fast as one. I paid $30 bucks for shit donuts. Then she had the nerve to tell me to have a nice day! I had already drove off and got to work before I noticed the bland mix of donuts. I will not go there again.
google avatar

Hien N.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever. We (2 people) came with the coupon B1G1 smoothie and 1 free donut/coffee. The cashier denied to take both and said just 1 only. We decided to use the B1G1, they charged some extra for the 2nd one - almost 7$ for a drink? and the drinks came out horrible (I think that's the way they treat who uses coupons). We should have left at the time they denied to take the coupons. Who knows if they did something nasty with the drinks for the customers they don't like?! Never come back. We just used the promotion they made, not trying to steal anything.
google avatar

Kay T.

Yelp
I'm a fan because this place is 24 hours and I may need a place to loiter at 3am. If I decide to hang out like a bum, I can get some donuts and boba drinks if I want. Donuts and Boba drinks are OK decent to below average. Not the best. But 24 HOURS! You can stuff your face at 4am if you want to.
google avatar

Art B.

Yelp
Awesome donut shop. While Bosa Donuts does serve a few other things, they specialize in donuts. They're what Dunkin' Donuts use to be, unconcerned that their offerings are not especially healthy or in vogue among foodies. Thank goodness! I suggest you take a four or five year old to the Country Club location and let them gaze at the eye level cases full of goodies. (That's what we recently did.) Be prepared to buy a pink frosted donut with rainbow sprinkles! Then try to convince yourself that it was a mistake in parenting as you watch your child's eyes pop in delight as they take their first bite. There will be other days for healthy alternatives!! Open 24 hours!!!
