It is up to 1 hour hike from trailhead to the waterfall. For some sections, there was virtually no trail due to it being very muddy and difficult to navigate. It is not an option for young children and any mobility issues. When at the waterfall, it is difficult to traverse due to it being rocky and in wet weather it is very slippery. Waterfall it not easy to view. Whilst I enjoyed the challenge, you need to consider if it is worth it based on the 200DKR entrance fee

The hike to Bøsdalafossur Waterfall is well worth the effort! Starting from near Miðvágur, the path is generally flat and easy, leading to the incredible sight of the waterfall flowing directly into the ocean. The nearby Trælanípa cliff offers fantastic photo opportunities of the 'lake above the ocean.' There is a hiking fee, but it's completely justified for the maintenance of such a beautiful and accessible trail. Highly recommend going on a clear day for the best views!

You can see the waterfall if you leave the lake track. Path is quite rocky but still accessible. Views are nice, but waterfall itself is not that great.

Beautiful waterfall with stunning coastline in the background! Part of the hike that you can do from the 200kr entrance fee, totally worth the fee! Give yourself plenty of time to explore. We spent most of the day in the area with the lake and the cliffs and the hike to this waterfall. Be aware that the paths are still being laid / redone for this area so it's not as easily accessible as the rest.
Felt very remote and peaceful! Highly recommend!

What a beautiful hike! There is quite a steep fee but the trail is pretty much flat, definitely not a difficult trail in any aspect, and I completed it quite fast. I would consider it doable for all ages, but to each their own. Made it out on a cloudy day but that did not seem to affect the beauty.

One of the most impressive hikes. I loved the views and the lake/sea view was my favourite. I recommend doing the hike. However there is a 200kr fee which I think is a bit too much for a 40 min walk (each way). They should consider doing discount for students so younger people can also enjoy this kind of trips and the amazing landscape in that area.

The first part of the hike is rather easy and impossible to miss. When you hit the viewpoints (three according to the "entry guide") it's uphill, but every step worth the effort.
If you wanna go all the way, and across the lake (off trail) the hike becomes much more difficult (slippery rocks, climbing, etc), but there are some hidden gems on that other side 👍🏻
