Winterlicious 2025 | Anniversary Celebration
Sometimes, a dining experience isn't just about food--it's a symphony of flavors, hospitality, and ambiance that creates unforgettable memories. Bosk at Shangri-La is one such place where every element comes together like a beautifully orchestrated melody.
From the moment we stepped into the grand Shangri-La lobby, passing by the elegant high tea lounge and live music stage, we knew we were in for something special. The restaurant, wrapped in an Asian-inspired aura, felt intimate, sophisticated, and deeply welcoming--a perfect setting for our anniversary lunch.
Service & Hospitality: Impeccable!
Seamless hospitality is a rarity, but Bosk masters it effortlessly. Every note from our reservation was not just acknowledged but thoughtfully implemented--a level of attentiveness that sets a true 5-star experience apart.
Our 5-year-old was catered to with warmth, receiving a delightful kids' menu, crayons, and an activity sheet--proving that Bosk strikes the perfect balance between kid-friendly and romantic.
Our servers, dressed in stunning Asian-inspired outfits, were knowledgeable, poised, and genuinely invested in our experience.
The manager checked on us personally, adding another layer of warmth and care. This is hospitality done right!
Food: A Love Story on a Plate
The Winterlicious menu was a culinary masterpiece--every bite a testament to precision and passion.
Starters:
I had the beet salad--a mesmerizing mix of orange & red beets, crumbled cheese, and crystal crunch. Lightly blanched yet bursting with flavor, it was hands-down the best beet salad I've ever had!
Hubby went for the beef tartare, and let's just say, his first bite was met with a moment of silence--it was that good.
Mains:
I indulged in orchiette pasta, a unique take on comfort food--folded in pesto, laid over a rich tomato sauce, and topped with grilled eggplant, breadcrumbs, and cheese. It was decadent, layered, and downright irresistible.
My husband opted for the duck confit, and after the first bite, he declared--"This is the best duck confit I've had in Toronto!"
Desserts:
I chose the orange chocolate cake--and it was pure magic! The contrast of crunch and cream melted in my mouth.
Hubby went with the deconstructed tiramisu, which was good but didn't steal the show like the cake did.
To our surprise, Bosk honored our anniversary with a personalized chocolate wish--a heartwarming touch!
Final Surprise:
To cap off our celebration, the team treated us to two special raspberry mocktails--a thoughtful and elegant gesture that made our day even sweeter.
Honorable Mention:
The sesame-flavored bread served with olive oil & balsamic vinegar--a warm, fragrant delight that deserves its own moment of appreciation!
Final Verdict: A Resounding 5/5!
