Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine

We’ve been here almost every weekend for a month. The steak and eggs is amazing. The steak is usually perfect. The potatoes are so creamy and delicious. The toast is done on the grill and doesnt need anything on it, but i usually get a side of jam because it’s so great. The coffee is strong and the mugs are big. Antoanela is very friendly and makes us feel taken care of. The place is never busy when we go around 10:30, but I don't know why. It’s nearly the same price as Norms for steak and eggs but the experience is far superior.

Can’t say enough good things about Bossa Nova! Since moving to the neighborhood a few months ago, it has quickly become my go-to spot. I’m hooked especially on their salmon and shrimp! I’ve tried many things on the menu, and not one dish has disappointed. Everything is fresh & flavorful. The other thing I love about it is the team. Everyone is always friendly, Alex the manager and Pedro, they always make me feel at home. It’s one of those spots that instantly feels like a favorite! p.s. you have to try the truffle fries.

Been coming for their brunch since September, started with the steak and eggs, but now my favorite is the classic. The roasted potatoes are so good, creamy and delicious. The coffee is excellent. Like the sourdough toast with jam. Place is always bright and staff is very attentive.

Really worthy for proper Brazilian food. We had chicken with 3 sides each. We decided for the Cajun chicken with roasted vegetables, fried sweet potatoes and power grains (all delicious). The other dish was traditional chicken with rice, beans and plantains.

I've been in this Brazilian restaurant and overall, I had a pretty good experience. The food was tasty and definitely worth the price – you get a good amount for what you pay. One of the best parts was definitely the amazing balcony view; it really added to the atmosphere. I also liked that they had both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can choose what you're in the mood for. The service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the salad; it was really great. The pizza was okay, nothing spectacular, but it was fine. What really stands out is how affordable everything is. For a decent meal with a nice view and good service, the prices are definitely right.

I came here for my birthday dinner and the service was fantastic. The portion sizes are huge! I got the chicken plate, it comes with 3 sides. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This has to be a joke. Last night I’ve received basically a dish of minced garlic instead of Chicken Piccata (yes, I know the recipe calls for garlic but this was probably a whole head of garlic if not more). I couldn’t taste anything but garlic. Does your kitchen staff ever taste the food they send out? Same thing with Stroganoff that you have on the menu: you don’t taste anything but garlic. Managers, chef or owner please look at the video I’ve attached and make some adjustments.

I came in recently and Rae took care of us, she remembered my name which was nice, we had the burrata salad and bruschetta which were both incredible vegetarian options she reccomended. Overall, the ambience and service was nice, my husband and I will definitely be back!

Friendly and Attentive staff from the manager to the waitstaff to the barkeep. And the food was fantastic. The back patio where we had our event was roomy enough fir us all and had a beautiful view of the city at night. Would highly recommend for a large gathering or an intimate dinner for two!!

What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Food was amazing, ambiance was warm and cozy. A special thank you to the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It's rare to see that level of hands-on hospitality, and it truly made the evening memorable. If you're looking for amazing food, great service, and a vibrant atmosphere, Bossa Nova is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back!

The food was extremely disappointing honestly worse than hospital food, and that's saying a lot. I ordered a steak but was served what looked like a dry, microwaved piece of meat with bland, flavorless vegetables that tasted like cardboard. When I raised my concerns with the waiter, he brought the manager over. Instead of simply acknowledging the issue and offering a solution, the manager repeatedly questioned why I didn't like the meal, which made the situation feel uncomfortable and confrontational. Overall, it was a very unpleasant dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the quality of the food and the way the situation was handled.

I used to visit Bossa Nova's old West Hollywood location on Robertson, but it took a long time for me to try the new one. Their grilled chicken was flavorful and moist, and I had rice, black beans, and sautéed vegetables as sides. The caipirinha was good too,

It was my first time coming here and I had such a good experience. My steak came out hard but when I told my serve Freddie he was so kind and took it back and brought me a whole new plate sides and all. He was so kind didn't make me feel bad about sending my food back at all. He was graceful about it. I was just expecting the steak to come back remade but he really went above and beyond and it truly made my first experience here so good. Also look at these portions!! So good!

I was in town for my friend's birthday and decided to stop by for dinner. My friends both ordered pasta dishes that they both enjoyed. I got the BBQ Bacon burger with a side of fried plantains. The burger was flavorful, bacon was crisp, the fried plantains were soooo perfectly cooked and delicious. I really enjoyed the whole meal. The drinks were good as well. The only downside is that we initially were seated inside because it was chilly outside, but our table was close to the door and people kept leaving the door open so it was freezing. Eventually we asked if we could be moved to an outdoor table next to a heat lamp and that was okay.

My visit here was unsatisfactory. When we arrived, we were seated at the only table big enough to fit 12 people, and the place was surprisingly busy even at 11:00 PM. The seat I got had water dripping from the ceiling, and by the end of the night my shoulder was only a little dry. I ordered the Traditional Chicken, and the serving size was extremely small. It came with a bowl of beans, rice, and diced tomatoes. The chicken itself wasn't anything special -- it was sour and salty, although at least it was juicy. I also tried a cool Brazilian soda called Guaraná, which was very interesting! Service, however, was very good. Overall, a decent place, but my experience was not great.

This location is decent. I came on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty empty. I ordered to go and got the Chimichurri & Picanha Na Parrilha, which is the broiled steak. I got it cooked medium well, and it was really good. It came with mashed potatoes, crisp onions, and asparagus and that was all really good too. There was a bit of a wait time for it to be that empty, but the food was good. My colleague ordered chicken Alfredo and she said it was decent.

Consistent with others! The difference is the view of La from the parking lot in the back which is amazing! Food is consistent and service too! Great for late night vibes. Coaxchina is always a vibe as is the chicken kabob meal and that yucca flour is the best! Love it! Parking is easy as there's a huge lot in the back.

Igor was great , we were celebrating our friends birthday and we had a wonderful time . He was super friendly and it was great evening :)

This place has such a nice back patio where I like to sit. The inside of the restaurant is very small and can get crowded. The servers are always so pleasant and the food is always delicious. They cook the food well and they have the most delicious hot sauce! The burger is also always cooked perfectly medium rare and is bloody and juicy. The dessert was so sweet and gooey.

Unsure why this place has such low rating but every time I go there the service is great and they always accomodate our big party (they do not do split checks though) and my go-to order is their carbonara. I've also tried their version of a Sheppard's pie and it was delicious as well. They have incredible drinks and the restaurant itself is nice plus there is a little bakery section with tons of selections of delicacies. Menu has options for everyone to choose something they like, can't make a bad choice honestly.

Great food and great service! Igor is the best. This location is perfect too with plenty of parking.

Omg this place was so amazing after a lingerie party I attended at the Sunset Room on Saturday night. My two friends who were driving drove me there and always go and I am sooo happy they took me. They have such an amazing menu and it's so nice they're always open. We were there around 3am after the party and every table was full and there was a line outside. However, they seated us promptly. It was so much fun and my wild mushroom vegan bowl couldn't have been tastier!! Shoutout to my friends for showing me this spot and cannot wait to be back :)

First timer and definitely one of my new favorites in LA! I was craving truffle pasta and this place came highly recommended and I definitely see why. It was phenomenal and reasonably priced for a restaurant in West Hollywood. My only complaint was the wait time but the food definitely made up for it. Very nice aesthetic inside and out too!

Excellent service and delicious Brazilian food. The happy hour is very generous. Lots of of healthy options outside the usual pastas and pizzas.

The food was superb and Igor is a very personable, knowledgeable and extremely professional waiter! It was a pleasure having him as our waiter!

This was our first time at Bossa Nova and it did not disappoint! Noelí made the experience fantastic. He was so welcoming, attentive, and full of great food recommendations. We tried the Picanha Coullote Steak and Manuela's Pasta, and both were outstanding. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the pasta was rich and comforting with such delicious flavors. Highly recommend!

This was my second time at Bossa Nova but first time at this location.  I was excited to dine here because I had a good experience at the other Sunset location. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food here as much.  I appreciate the parking in the rear.  That helps a lot especially with this venue being on Sunset Blvd.  They have outdoor and indoor seating.  It's pretty spacious as outside is unassuming. The service was fine, nothing overly special. The Gorgonzola Burger was flavorful but a bit under-cooked for me.  I could have done without the Arugula, LOL. The mashed potatoes were good, not lumpy and nothing to write home about.  Forget about the chicken tenders, total miss. How can chicken be dry and rubbery?? I enjoyed the Dutch fries the best. I was looking forward to the chocolate cake but since the meal was underwhelming, I skipped it.  I usually conclude with, "Will I return?" I still want to give this Chain/location a chance.  They have a brunch I would like to try.  Perhaps they can redeem themselves then.

(8.7/10) Bossa Nova has officially earned a spot on my regular rotation, especially for their lunch specials. The chicken stroganoff was the highlight for me creamy, savory, and such a unique flavor profile compared to what I'm used to. The way it paired with the rice made it feel like the two were meant for each other Honestly, it's one of those dishes that makes you stop mid-bite and go, "Wow, this works." I also tried the chicken Madeira, which came with perfectly cooked asparagus The chicken itself was tasty with rich gravy, but since chicken Madeira is one of my favorite dishes, I hold it to very high standards. I personally prefer Cheesecake Factory's version . Next time, I'll probably skip the Madeira dish & try their famous traditional chicken and maybe even some Brazilian chimichurri for that extra punch. generous portions, solid quality, and a price that makes it easy to keep coming back For West Hollywood, that's a win. It's rare to get this kind of value without sacrificing taste. Good parking too! Would I come back? Absolutely gave me a whole new appreciation for Brazilian comfort food

What a nice Brazilian restaurant, that isn't a steak house. With frontage patio dining, clean/open lines interior dining and a small rear patio dining with a skyline view, see pic, it has an environment for many diners. My pic of the bar illustrates the clean/straight interior design lines. On this Saturday evening, there was ample parking in the rear parking lot. The menu is quite varied, most of which isn't Brazilian. I took a pic of the "Order Information", I've never seen such an extensive list - hmmmm. Setting a standard for our meals, I've posted a pic of the pre-meal bread with their oil and vinegar bottle. The bread was warm and light - as pictured. It had the requisite herbs on top with olive oil - good flavoring. We each had amply sized bread dishes for the dipping oil and vinegar - which just made it better. From the menu section "Bossa Nova Grill" we shared the Traditional Chicken, which as you can see in my pic is a pounded and grilled chicken breast. The chicken breast was quite moist. It had a very intriguing and alluring flavor which is a result of being marinated in their Brazilian herbs and spices: all of which was good. This meal comes with 3 sides, we choose: sweet potato fries, roasted vegetables and fried plantains. All were good, crunchy when appropriate, savory as expected and slightly sweet and caramelized as pictured. And under the "A La Carte" we ordered the File A Cavalo. BTW, as you can see in my pic, this isn't a la carte as I'm used to it: it was a full meal. Buried underneath the eggs and the power grains was a healthy sized steak. I'll start with the best first: the broiled pub steak. While not a robust American sized steak, it was fairly sized and thicker than a breakfast steak. It was cooked to order, medium rare. It was very tender, juicy and the savory season salt was spot on. The eggs were cooked to order, and their liquid gold paired well with the steak. My 2 side choices (not bad for an a la carte order) were: black beans and power grains. The black beans were okay and the power grains were good. The grains particularly paired well with the fresh salsa. We liked the variety of their offerings, and a refreshing change from other restaurants.

Waitress put items on my tap with out me ordering it and marked it "don't make". See the photo attached. Straight up theft.

Had a wonderful dining experience for our first time here. Upon arriving we decided to sit ourselves in the back terrace section. Just wanted to appreciate the lovely view, and the warm weather that day. Our food did arrive upon minutes from ordering. Each different server that came by our table was kind and attentive. We were constantly being check up on. 10/10 service. I ordered the coulette steak "picanha" angus omaha w/ power grains, roasted veggies, and mash potatoes. As for the meal; some of the sides were luke warm, although my steak was cooked perfectly! The marinade was sweet and savory at the same time. Very interesting blend of flavors. Delicious over all. Even was able to take some home. Good views, great food, and overall wonderful vibes all around.

Love having dinner at Bossa Nova on Sunset when I visit LA. The portion size is always huge and I take leftovers every time. The lasagna is meaty and made to perfection. The chicken parm is a must with the mashed potatoes and veggies. It's delicious! The staff is great and the service is outstanding.

I love Bossa Nova! I always have a fantastic experience at Bossa Nova in West Hollywood. The pesto pasta is my go to order, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor every time. I've also had the churrasco for two, which was amazing. The fried calamari is a no fail choice, and the pão de queijo and yuca fries are another go to of mine. Open late night, it's a great spot to grab a bite after an evening out. Parking at night is a breeze, and the area around there is very nice. Great atmosphere and friendly service make it a top choice. Highly recommend it!

My friend picked this restaurant for a birthday dinner celebration. We dined on a Thursday evening at 6:15 without a reservation and there wasn't a wait! The restaurant did get crowded around 7 and on. They offer a happy hour, tons of yummy house made desserts and a menu that could make anyone happy! Their pizza, pasta, salads and all the items from the grill are delicious. I had the steak with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies and of course the plantains! I finished most of my plate and had a side salad, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My friend enjoyed the penne pasta with chicken and finished his large portion! We will be back soon. There's seating inside that's romantic and outside on the patio. I had the hibiscus tea but their cocktail and wine selection look divine. They offer many fun bottles of soda as well. Service was great, we really enjoyed our experience! Parking- we were lucky to find a spot right in front, otherwise you may have to circle around a few times.

Saturday Brunch with family and friends was a delight here. The location is perfect. As a Selling Sunset fan and this restaurant is walking distance from the Oppenheim Group. This location has patio seating and a balcony that has an amazing view. The menu has a lot of options so we were all able to order something different and delicious. This time none of us had any cocktails but they do have options. The service was good but not excellent. There was a few times we had to wait them to come but they were friendly and got all the items right. We will be returning soon as we still crave the garlic fries.

This is my go to place when I want to grab some great food and margaritas and settle in to catch up with friends for hours. I can count on the service, food and atmosphere. It never fails.

I was there on Sunday for brunch and my server Raelene took such good care of us! She recommended their new matcha and desserts even said to "eat them with our eyes" which I thought was both clever and funny! I love when servers actually know their menu! Matcha was tasty and nicely blended. Overall great experience for a more upscale casual brunch with exceptional service thanks to Raelene! I will be coming back!

The food , the service and ambience were fabulous. Antonella , the manager helped us organize our holiday gathering (22 people). Thank you for all you did and the view was an added bonus. Will definitely be back.

What a pleasure it was to drive from Cerritos to Sunset Blvd., it only took about one hour. This is such a great area to visit and walk around and site see and people/dog watch. Yelp provided a number of options and the sushi shop next door wasn't open yet so we decided on Bossa Nova. And that was an excellent move because of the Great service and excellent food!! We started off with some bruschetta and Xinghu (Brazilian) beer (my first time). FYI, despite it being a dark beer, it's very light so don't automatically think of Guinness (one of my favorites btw). The salmon bowl was packed with healthy carbs and it was very satisfying. The more color in your meal, the healthier it is. Of course, I couldn't finish the entire bowl for lunch. My fellow diners enjoyed the steak and eggs and the salmon entree with capers. The restaurant itself is very appealing and has a nice view of LA out back. The bahr area is very inviting. Once more, excellent service from our server and this place filled up really quickly after our meal. Afterwards, take a nice walk up and down Sunset Blvd. Note: Be on the look out for the stars - Bieber, Black Pink, Deney Terrio (Makin It), etc. Although we didn't see anybody notable, except ourselves. One last note: If you're planning to walk around, don't pahk in the lots (even the one across the street) because they'll tow you. We pahked on the street, credit cards are accepted.

Great food. Please be sure to ask for happy hour menu because they won't give it to you or let you know about it. Spent double on drinks when they had similar on the happy hour menu. Not sure if I'll go back because of that bad practice but food was delicious for sure.

Disgusting. White suspicious puddle stains all over their indoor seats, Found 2 pieces of hair in two different appetizers one in the pastels and another in the cevioche. Bathrooms smell like old rusty mop juice just stale and disgusting scent they use brown paper towels the same kind you get at a public park bathroom. Flys in same display cabinet where they store their desserts. The drink I bought was disgusting bartender clearly doesn't know what they're doing. This location is DIRTY , and I'm talking HELLA DIRTY!!! STRAIGHT STANK! Underwhelming and over rated. Youre better off at another bossa nova just because this one is located in West Hollywood doesn't mean it's up to par it's honestly GROSS!

This one has a bakery area inside with samples of baked goods at the bar area tonight! I always loved bosa novas menu and taste! Good choice and I like the inside ambiance!

I was tripping. This is great too. Just want to say no one needs our criticism on this thing. Everyone should find what they love and write a 5 star reviews about what they love. None of y'all are Jonathan Gold, no one is going to care. Support small businesses. The food is great. The service is great. Parking was super easy. And it's beautiful in here.

Service is amazing!! They are super attentive and nice. The food was yummy but I do think they should add a side of bread with the pasta. I would say it is overpriced but yummy so I would go back.

Had the Picanha Coullote steak with rice, Vegetables, and mashed potato all were excellent, good portions and prices are very reasonable for the area.

One of my top favorite restaurant cause the portions are big and the food is good at any time even late nights are open
