My wife and her friends had visited this spot for a girls’ night out and came back raving about it, so I knew I had to try it myself. We stopped in for lunch while we were in the area, and from the moment we arrived, I was impressed. The entrance and patio area exuded upscale saloon vibes, featuring dark wood finishes and Edison bulb lighting that added a warm, rustic charm. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated. Our waitress was attentive, taking our drink orders right away. We started with the pig candy, which was absolutely delicious. I ordered an Old Fashioned and a Bloody Mary—my go-to—and both were top-notch. For lunch, I had the prime rib dip with fries. The au jus was flavorful, and the fries were more like hearty potato wedges, served with their in-house ketchup. As a loyal Heinz fan, I was skeptical, but it won me over. My wife ordered the Bosscat Burger, which looked incredible. We finished with a fried apple pie that was hands-down the best I’ve had in a while. The restaurant’s decor was stunning, especially the private room with a whiskey wall and gold birdcages. Tip: validate your parking before leaving the paid structure!

This was our first time visiting "Bosscat". Just the fact that a place like this exists within the heart of contemporary Irvine office towers is amazing. Another surprise is the pricing of the food offerings: very reasonable. Overall, the food was very good, with the short rib chilaquiles being a standout. The drink menu is a bit pricier, but this is their thing (libations), and our selections were excellent. The service was professional and super friendly from beginning to end. The waiter noticed we had a ticket from the nearby parking garage and happily had it validated. Minus the drinks, you could easily spend the same on so-so food at any chain diner, so why not come here for a much better experience? We definitely will again.

I have been coming here for a long time, especially for allocated bourbon whiskeys. Not many places have great selection of allocated bottles, so this restaurant has been the only option. Nick and Victoria are very friendly, and Nick seems to know a lot about bourbon so it was helpful to communicate with him, and food was also very tasty. I tried top shelf bourbons like old rip van winkle, boss hog, blade and bow 22years, wild turkey master’s keep Voyage, russell’s rickhouse, and also other whiskeys like yamazaki 18 years and aberfeldy 21 years. If you love whiskeys, this place is the perfect place to try some glasses before you buy a bottle.

Wow, what an incredible night! The atmosphere here is just perfect, with so many comfortable and stylish seating options. You'll feel right at home. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal! Seriously, some of the freshest, most perfectly cooked dishes we've had in California. If you're a whiskey lover, prepare to be amazed! Their selection is mind-blowing – over 250 varieties! And to top it all off, the desserts are simply divine. Get ready for a smile that won't quit. You've got to experience this place!

Every time I walk into Bosscat Irvine it feels like someone rolled out a celebration just for me. I still dream about their Loco Moco from brunch, it always hits the spot and happy hour there is a real treasure with local beer taps glowing and the room buzzing with friendly chatter. When dinner arrives I order the 12 hour beef short rib without hesitation. It melts in your mouth and the crisp buttery garlic mushroom green beans are nothing short of heavenly. I owe a special thanks to the bar team Nick, Kate, Travis and the rest, who always steer me toward something amazing. Nick nudged me toward the “Butter Burger” that perfect smash burger might be the best in town and later Nick turned me on to the Nick Special SmashBurger which lives up to its name (That was the best burger I’ve ever eaten). Oh any, make sure to try the Bosscat fries. The beer and whiskey selection always delights, and right now I can’t get enough of Brewery X Slap and Tickle IPA, that crisp citrus leaning punch. From the bar staff keeping our glasses full to the kitchen crew turning out outstanding dishes every time, the entire team at Bosscat makes me feel genuinely welcome. Thank you for making every visit feel like a special occasion. I keep coming back because you make me feel right at home. Oh, if Oscars at the bar ask him for the magic coffee, coffee with just a hint of magic.

Bosscat Kitchen & Libations in Irvine is a truly special dining experience. The ambiance is absolutely incredible, with a stylish and sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The bar is beautifully designed, and the drinks are expertly crafted. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, showcasing creative flavor combinations and high-quality ingredients. For dessert, the Banana Pudding was an absolute must-try. It was a decadent and unforgettable treat. To top it all off, the customer service was impeccable.

Amazing atmosphere. We loved the vibe but a little to loud for a date night but great for a night out drinking with some friends. We loved the short rib. It had a tangy sauce and great presentation. They were kind enough to split out portion into 2 with both the salad and short rib. I would come back. The chicken meatballs were a little cold for my taste but overall we had a great time.

Google
Morgan was pure magic—welcoming us like old friends and leading us to the most enchanting little spot for couples to soak in the sights of this gorgeous place. He told us the favorite food to order. I ordered the Short Rib chilaquiles, while my Bloke went classic with Steak and Eggs. We raised a toast with a Nighthawk martini and a Bloody Mary—fitting for a night that felt straight out of Bon Temps. Can’t wait to come back and let this spot cast its spell on us again. Maybe next time we’ll see Bill Compton from True Blood next round. 🧛🍷 🥃

Yelp
the best restaurant ever. food fire. ambiance was beautiful. Ray was an excellent server. His recommendations on the menu were perfect for my taste. Drove an hour just to try this place out and it didn't fail! cocktails were delightful as well. Give Ray a raise!

Yelp
Everything is great always Happy hour is amazing watching sports is amazing Just all overwhelmed great place

Yelp
This place is very intimate for whatever occasion. We attended this place for brunch on a Sunday and it was definitely a vibe with a DJ who played ALL THE RIGHT SONGS while eating. Mushroom Chilaquiles - 8/10 it was honestly what I needed after a lot of alcohol the night before. It's super hearty, but also light on my stomach so I enjoyed it a lot. I do wish they provided more chips on the side to eat with the left over sauce that it comes in. It was honestly big enough for 2 people to split it. Breakfast Burrito - 8/10 my husband ordered the burrito. He enjoyed the burrito, but said that the salsa that came with it made it more enjoyable. He also really enjoyed the waffle fries that came with it so that was a plus. Steak and Eggs - 9/10 my mother in law really loved her steak and eggs. She loved that her steak was cooked perfectly. Lemon Marshmallow Beignets - 6/10 not really our favorite. The beignets were filled and the lemon marshmallow was not our jam, but I know someone else would love them. Wish they offered plain ones, and if they didn't we honestly didn't see it. Overall: 8/10 for us. Will for surely make another trip here to try other things on the menu. We enjoyed the music, drinks and food in all. This place is super cute and fun for family or just as a couple or friends.

Yelp
We don't often find ourselves in Irvine, so I searched carefully for a worthy eatery to visit while in town. Bosscat Kitchen quickly emerged as a top contender. We were greeted cheerfully and seated promptly. Bosscat Kitchen is attractive although the decor is a little confusing. After some discussion we agreed it was a masculine whiskey bar vibe. As is often the case in a place with high ceilings, bricks and lots of hard surfaces, the restaurant is very loud. That was the only downside. Our server was personable and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. I wish I'd gone for dessert instead of the spinach artichoke egg-rolls. Don't get me wrong, the egg-rolls were yummy. However, they are very rich and creamy. I then ordered the short rib (the server's favorite) which was even richer in its falling apart savory deliciousness. My sweetie had the whitefish which is served over mushroom risotto with blistered cherry tomatoes. He loved it! So we were stuffed after devouring our entrees and had to abandon dessert. I guess we'll have to make our way to Irvine another time. Don't forget about parking validation. Luckily I read someone else's review where they mentioned it. Our server did not offer, but I went to the hostess, who was happy to take care of it. $13.50 without validation and we were not there more than 90 minutes.

Yelp
First time visiting Irvine and came to this great place. Really enjoyed the Brick Roasted Spicy Chicken. Love the char they place on the veggie sides. Nice happy hour drink and food specials as well! Great decor and homage paid to the theme, and of course experienced great service from Jedediah for our large group!

Yelp
I haven't been to Bosscat since they moved and thats how long it has been. I finally got the chance after my sister wanted to take me here for my birthday. We sat at the bar that weekend and shared a bottle of champagne and some food. It was busy but we were able to grab a seat at the bar no problem. For food we shared their brunch country fried steak which came with two eggs cooked your way. It was really good with their white gravy. Yum! The bartender was really nice and food came out quick. While we were there there was a few different groups celebrating something. The inside is really cute. I like the fun vibe and decorations. The outside patio area is cool too. I like that their bar is super large and you can sit outside as well. It's definitely a great spot for small or large groups. But great food and drinks you cannot go wrong. Parking is free in the structure with validation (3 hours).

Yelp
I came here the other day with my fiancé for brunch and we had pretty good service from Oscar. He took care of us and made sure that we were served properly and that our drinks were refilled. Super cool ambience, they only have a DJ on the weekends. DJ played pretty good music! The wait wasn't too bad. It was only 30 minutes and we were seated near the bar. I like the decor inside the building and they had patio seating and bar seating as well. My fiancé really seemed to enjoy her omelette toast and I ordered a burger with french fries. It was good. It wasn't like out of the ballpark for smash burger, but I wish they gave me more fries as well. They had a good selection of cocktails and mixed drinks! it's definitely a cool place to come and have brunch and to drink.

Yelp
From Chicago, first time at Bosscat last night for dinner. Here are some thoughts: --It has an old money whiskey bar feel. Service is good. --I ordered the Bosscat burger, and the ground beef was excellent, tasted like steak. --My girls ordered salads, and really enjoyed them. --We ordered banana crème pudding for dessert, and the four of us shared it. Excellent!! Overall, highly recommended!

Yelp
I wanted to try Bosscat based on their positive Yelp reviews. Initially I was surprised at where this restaurant was located. It is surrounded by commercial office buildings and I'm sure most people would not know it even existed outside of seeing restaurant reviews or through word of mouth. Staff was friendly and our server was attentive. We started with the pig candy which was amazing! The prime rib dip was tender and flavorful. The shrimp and grits were just okay. I was hoping for a more Gouda forward flavoring so I was a little disappointed. Not as cheesy as I would have liked and without the creole sauce the grits were very bland. The texture is not as creamy as I like either. Overall two of the three dishes were very tasty, restaurant has a nice ambience and the staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely worth trying.

Yelp
This Bosscat location is in Irvine, parking is available in the structure and Bosscat validates it, restrooms are available, adjacent to the restaurant. I love that this location offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The aesthetics is welcoming and comfy. Customer service is great - attentive, offers great recommendations and has great vibes. We ordered the candy pork, the country bread, the chicken sandwich and the beignets. My espresso martini was delicious. The country bread totally hit the spot. The beignet was a little overcooked but I loved the meyer lemon curd that was paired with it. I'd definitely recommend!

Yelp
Cliff Notes Price Range: $$ Parking: In a garage, 3 hours validation available Perk: Mississippi Mud Pie Non-Perk: Seats, they are HARD! Ambiance: Trendy Dress: Casual Noise: Moderate Temperature: Open patio so depends on the weather Recommend: 100% Date: 10/08/2024 Dissertation: Bosscat Kitchen and Libations? More like Bosscat whiskey heaven! We kicked off our adventure with a whiskey flight that had us feeling like bourbon connoisseurs--or at least pretending we knew what we were talking about. Then came 'The Good Life' cocktail, which tasted like someone liquefied those raspberry chews you find in your grandma's candy dish--sweet, nostalgic, and surprisingly delicious! Our server's name was Kelsey. Super nice and had great whisky recommendations! For starters, we tried the Meatballs with crispy jalapeños and cheese, and they were so light and fluffy I half-expected them to float off my plate. They were dangerously good. Then came the Chicken Sausage Pasta... solidly a 'meh,' but hey, not everything can be a whiskey-infused miracle. To top it all off, the Mississippi Mud Pie rolled in and stole the show--it was so indulgent that it should come with a warning label. If you're looking for a place to drink like a boss and eat like you just earned a promotion, Bosscat's the spot!

Yelp
One of my go to's for happy hour and non! For happy hour, the best deal is the butter burger for $8 and it's so good!!! Caramelized onions, cheese, smash like burger meat, buttery brioche bun, it's a must!!! Their fries are also really good, thick cut. If you're not feeling in the mood for potatoes, the portobello mushroom fries are also so good!! They don't have traditional ranch but rather a cilantro one which is good and their ketchup has a diff and homemade kick. Drinks are great, deals on happy hour as well!

Yelp
Food: Steak Sandwich, Beignets, Paloma Came around 2pm on a Sunday, and didn't realize it was still Brunch. In all honesty I was hoping for the dinner menu, but the brunch menu had plenty of options to choose from. I went with the steak sandwich which is served with some house made chips. The steak was cooked well, the chimichurri mayo really added some nice flavors, but it was the toasted roll itself that brought it all together. The side of chips is well served, the chips themselves are nice and crispy. I couldn't pass up the chance to get some Beignets for dessert. They are served warm with a side of lemon curd, which admittingly sounds wild, but the flavors go well together. I highly recommend them. Restaurant: This particular location is in an interesting location opposed to the location in Orange. This location is in the middle of a bunch of high rise buildings, and not in a location in Irvine that I have ever explored. Parking is in a giant parking structure, make sure to take your ticket with you to get it validated after dining. Notes: 2 meals (Chilaquiles and Steak Sandwich), Beignets, and a Paloma was $75.00

Yelp
A great brunch spot! We were on the hunt for great brunch food and tvs for Sunday morning football that could accommodate a big group including kids. This was the perfect spot. There was space to run for the kids outside, tvs for football, great food, great atmosphere and amazing service. I got the espresso martini (night hawk I think?). It was light but had a great coffee flavor to it. The fruity pebble French toast also wasn't too sweet and was still crunchy. I really liked that it didn't taste like stale cereal which is always the risk with this type of dish. I think next time I'll go for the country fried chicken. Snagged a bite from a friends plate and it was so good!

Grace S.

Yelp
Went for a little date night on a weekday and it was amazing! Nice vibes overall with really good cocktails. Food was solid and our waiter was really nice. Definitely would go back!

Mika N.

Yelp
Great environment and good food overall. We went there for New Year, so there was no wait time. I wish the server seated us at a larger table because there were lots of empty seats. The Mac N Cheese was my favourite. We also tried the Mississippi mud pie and the chocolate taste was amazing.

Kendra O.

Yelp
A great place to find for brunch , lunch, or dinner. Food was Devine, flavorful, filing, and great portions. The design inside and out was exquisite! The gold birdcage seating area was a plus for my party and I. Our server Nic made my birthday dinner a delightful event , he was personable, funny, attentive, and extreme polite! We will be returning and Nic were coming to see you!!! Thank you for this first time visit and an exceptional birthday!!!

Trilina M.

Yelp
I wish I found this place earlier in my life! Bosscat is nestled in and around some tall and fancy corporate buildings. Interior is moody and dark, but there's also patio seating with natural light. Service is super friendly though you might need to flag someone down because it can be quite dark and busy. We got the-- bosscat burger - mashed potatoes - fried pickles -thin and crispy pickles - one day at a time mocktail -was ok. Mostly bitter -maple brussel sprouts -not that crispy but. still tasty -creamed corn brulee- GET THIS!!!! love creamed corn, and the brulee adds crispy sweetness

Lbc S.

Yelp
Our eaiter was so rude and not attentive towards us at all. But he sure was to others and there was even a time where there was no one next to us and 8 tables empty around us yet he walk by us 5 times that night where we have to flag him down . When others were seated next to us , he went right to them not making them wait.which he did to us. He was like this with a few tables I was watching bc I was trying to get his attention. I would have let this be but it was not a busy night here for once. We where here at 830 til 930 . Me and my wife were both very unhappy being ignored. I believe his name started with an A.

Diana L.

Yelp
We randomly found Bosscat on our way to Pelican hills. Great location with validation for parking if you dine at the several restaurants within the complex. The decor is quite nice, more like a whiskey lounge than for dining really. Food is on point, we got the Benedict and butter burger and they were both yummy and up to par. Burger is on the smaller side but quite delicious nonetheless. Service is pretty attentive, the place can get quite noisy so just have to speak up. Would definitely come back again.

Megan C.

Yelp
We came here for a birthday and made a reservation online for 10 people on a Saturday during brunch. It wasn't very busy, so might not have needed a reservation at all! I would rate the food somewhere around a 3.5/5 stars. They tasted pretty good but it's not the best brunch food I've had. The nacho fries are tasty, but pretty much just cheese & soggy waffle fries. I had the smokehouse Benedict, which in my opinion the flavors didn't mesh together very well and the biscuit itself took over a lot of the dish. The country fried steak was very well done & salty. One winner was definitely the beignets! They were really good. However, the lackluster food was definitely made up for with their service and the ambiance/location of the place. Our server was super nice, got everything out quickly, and offered to take pictures for us. From what I could tell, all their servers seemed great! They also wrote a birthday card for our family member with handwritten notes. The area this restaurant is in is super nice, seems newly made. Nice outdoor section with shade. For parking, you can park on the upper levels of the structure next to it for free.

Brandi I.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place! The vibe is great, good for those who love taking photos. The service was wonderful and very personable! I appreciate a host who treats a guest like old friends. Now for the food! Salad , good!! Maple butter brussel sprouts, good! Mac n cheese, good! Fries, good. All of it was very delicious, well seasoned and well cooked! I left and told more of my friends about this place because I'm so ready to go back.

Claire J.

Yelp
What a spot!!! Great area and location. We loved our food & drinks, especially the Country bread... it was basically like savory donuts with yummy whipped ranch butter. The portion of butter was perfect, whereas other places sometimes skimp. Also got the seared ahi lettuce wraps which were great- the sauce on them was yummmy! Our server was very nice & attentive, overall ambiance was great, love the way they have the space set up. Feels roomy even when busy. We'll be back whenever we're in town. Can park in the parking structure & just get it validated in the restaurant.

Francisco U.

Yelp
We went there with some friends after work to get some drinks and food. The drinks were, as always, good but the environment and the food could be better. Being in a corporate plaza you would think more people would come but I guess the overall experience is not that good. Good service too.

Brian F.

Yelp
I've been to the Bosscat location in Orange and recently went to the location in Irvine. This location is near the John Wayne Airport and has both indoor and outdoor seating across a large grassy outdoor area. For parking, there was a free parking structure right next to the restaurant. They have happy hour (Monday to Friday 3-6pm); I got the HH house old fashioned ($9) which I thought was a little too diluted. We ordered the 12 hour beef short rib ($37) and the chicken sausage pasta ($23). I got the short rib at the Orange location and it was delicious so I ordered it here and it was still great. The green beans were not as good but we liked the fried onions. The chicken sausage pasta was decent and we both really liked the pappardelle pasta. For drinks I also ordered the on my to-do list ($13) which had a tiki feel because of the orgeat. Overall my experience was better at the Orange location but the food here was still good. Reservations can be made online ahead of time so you can avoid waiting in line for a table.

Simon K.

Yelp
Great breakfast! Trendy indoor and outdoor seating options. The beignets were a nice starter however a bit dense. The ultimate cinnamon roll was huge. It was light croissant dough which I liked. It came with a nice cream cheese frosting. The Smokehouse Benedict was excellent with pulled pork atop homemade biscuits. We asked for extra of the special Hollandaise. My friend got the Ham I Am and loved it.

Ben L.

Yelp
I went there to try some premium whiskey bottles and food. Happy hour menus were very good. I ordered ribs and sliders, and both were good. I tried the best allocatled whiskeys in that bar and i was quite satisfied. I went there after i saw someone tried pappy van wiknkle before but it was not available today. I tried rock hill farms, elmer T. lee, 18yr ECBP, etc. very rare selections and i liked them all!

Jose R.

Yelp
Ok so came here tonight for sort of a birthday dinner and ordered the street corn poppers which would have tasted better had they not had a burnt taste or looked burnt. I only ate them since I was hadn't eaten anything since 10 and was starving next time I'll have to ask for them to make sure they aren't burnt which sucks since I drove all the way from San Bernardino to eat here. The pork chop was great so was the cheesy corn that came with it but downer on the street corn poppers

Tyler T.

Yelp
I got a burger and tried someone else's pasta. It was a cool atmosphere but food was pretty okay imo. It's really close to Lifetime and people like the vibes of the place and the ambiance of the surrounding area with the corporate buildings around, but food and drinks were pretty mid to me. Nothing really stood out as something I needed to return for but the price was fair so that's why I'm not mad about trying it. The staff was friendly tho and offered complimentary drinks as an apology for a pervert who made his way in. But the staff was very quick to respond to the situation and escorted him out promptly.

Karin R.

Yelp
This place is the best in town. Great atmosphere, awesome accommodating staff, and the food is awesome! Don't forget to order the apple pie!

Cam C.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is very laid back. Seems like a place for the older crowd. Business professionals and date nights. I came in and sat at the bar during happy hour. They place wasn't full but there were a decent amount of people there. I enjoyed a margarita and their short rib grilled cheese, their pork belly and some fries. The grilled cheese was pretty good. The pork belly with the kimchi was the star of the show for me. Their fries are thick cut and they were okay. Nothing special. The chow chow ketchup went well with them. Next time I'm in town I will order entrees instead of the happy hour menu. Their steak selection caught my eye

Ivi K.

Yelp
We made reservations through OpenTable. We had a group of 4. The vibes in the restaurant were like an antique library. Pretty cool decor throughout the place. We kinda took awhile to decide on our food so we got drinks first. All the cocktails were AMAZING. I forgot the name of the first one I had but it was sweet, fruity, and purple. The rest of the drinks I had that night were the Nighthawk. Chocolate coffee martini. However didn't really taste any chocolate in it. Drinks were strong and tasty! All the girls ended up getting the Nighthawk as their second and third beverages. The food took awhile to come out and they lose a star because they forgot one of the girls' dinner completely. But it took us awhile to realize because we kept waiting for it to come until finally we asked how much longer it would be. Luckily she ordered a salad so they brought it out relatively quickly. I split the short rib with a friend. They came with potatoes, green beans, and fried onion. It was sooo delicious! We ate every single bite. Haha. For dessert we split the fried apple pie that came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My friend thought it was a bit too sweet. It was very sugary. I'm a sucker for desserts though so I loved it. The waiters were all very nice and friendly. Also our waiter was very patient with us when we were ordering since it took us awhile to decide. They were always nearby so it was pretty easy to keep the drinks coming! (: I wish I could give 5 stars... if only they didn't forget my friend's dinner ): overall highly recommend and I would definitely love to come back sometime! (:

Yelp
My second time dinning here with folks from my work. Great selection of dishes and cocktails for everyone. food is tasty and fresh. prices aren't too high for what you get. If you come with a group of 5 or more a reservation is necessary for dinner time. I'll be back in the area for work again next year and will likely dine here again.

Joanna ..

Yelp
The service was amazing, with Jacob and Kate. They are so nice and will be coming back.

Yelp
"New Year's Eve Letdown: Cold Food, Long Waits, and Broken Promises" On December 31, 2024, on New Year's Eve, my husband placed a simple order to go--a Bosscat Burger for $22.00 and a Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich for $21.00. After driving 30 minutes to pick up our order and another 30 minutes back, we were met not with our intended meal, but with a wrong substitution: while the Bosscat Burger was correct, the Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich had been replaced by the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken Sliders, priced at only $8.00. To make matters worse, after the mix-up was acknowledged by the same staff member who took the order, she apologized and explained that delivery was not possible, insisting that my husband drive back for the correction. This error resulted in an additional hour of travel time, culminating in two hours spent waiting for two cold burgers. While we understand that mistakes can occur, it was particularly disheartening that when my husband did not request any further compensation for the inconvenience, the hostess promised a full refund and then failed to follow through on that commitment. Such broken promises only deepen the disappointment and cast doubt on the restaurant's reliability. It is unfortunate to see that despite the potential of this establishment, hiring decisions seem to favor appearance over competence. I have since removed my original five-star rating. Even if the owner or manager was not directly at fault, placing someone incapable of fulfilling a straightforward order in charge is unacceptable. Businesses must strive for both quality service and accountability, especially on a night meant for celebration.

Yelp
Went here to celebrate our anniversary. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Tuesday and i felt like there was a lot of people. We got seated immediately outside. The vibe of the restaurant was very cozy. We sat outside where one seat was a full couch and the other was the chair. The waited was helpful and very friendly. Since we weren't too hungry we wanted to share our main dish. We ordered the Portobello Mushroom fries, 12 hour beed short rib and the creamed corn Brûlée. When the waiter brought out the food, I didn't realize that he split the short rib for us on to two separate plates. I thought that was so considerate of them. The portion size was huge haha. Aa for the food, the star of the show was the creamed corned. Initially looking at it, it looked like a shallow hot plate. But after digging in we realized the hot plate was a lot deeper than we thought. This side dish alone was so good. It was a perfect blend of sweet and the brûlée gave a good crunch. I loved rating it along either the green beans and crispy onions from the short rib plate. The short rib was nice and tender. I think next time I would pass on the portobello fries. They were still good but not as good aa the other dishes. I also mentioned to the staff it was our anniversary and they brought a ice cream waffle. That was also really good. The Waffle had a crunchy candy coating on top. Overall this place was rally nice and I'd love to come try their brunch menu!

Went for happy hour with a large group. The waiter was great; very patient and knowledgeable. Food and drinks were tasty. They validate parking during weekdays (for 3 hours).

Yelp
1. The short ribs are amazing! I definitely understand why this is one of the most requested! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! 3. There were a good amount of indoor seatings! 4. The staff were friendly and attentive! 5. There is a parking structure! Note: It is best to make a reservation, but the available reservation times may get more limited with a party more than 7! Yelp
We made a reservation on OpenTable at 11:15am on a Sunday in case this restaurant may be too busy for brunch. Bosscat is in a shared plaza with different other facilities, which also has a shared parking structure that wasn't too hard to find parking. Upon arriving, it's lively restaurant that has a DJ playing for brunch, but not too many diners that filled up the entire restaurant. There was a decent amount, but I wouldn't say they were busy at all. Once we checked in, the front desk told us to wait until our server will be ready. Oddly enough, 30 minutes have passed and we were still waiting to be seated. There was literally no point in making a reservation since we weren't promptly seated, and waiting for the server to get "situated"? It took so long and there were plenty of tables open as well, we could have just seated ourselves... After finally being seated, we ordered right away since we already knew what we wanted from the menu. We ordered the steak and eggs and the smokehouse benedict. It took an additional 25 minutes for our meal to get to our table, the food wasn't even hot. Our dishes were warm / room temperature. Did they just forget our meal? Everyone here was mainly here for drinks and alcohol, but maybe we just didn't get alcohol so we could pass by the time faster, but we just wanted to eat. My bf's steak and eggs, he said they were just standard and wasn't that flavorful. It went the same with my pulled pork on my benedict, the pulled pork was pretty bland. I did like how the biscuit on the bottom was still crispy and not soggy as most brunch places would normally prepare it, but I felt like it didn't appeal enough to make this who dish better. The potatoes for both our dishes were okay. Overall, food was mediocre, service was not great, also a vibe killer from the whole experience. Reservations didn't mean anything, so don't bother making one for brunch. Definitely better brunch options elsewhere.

Yelp
Food was great and reasonably priced. Service was good but could use improvement. The ambiance is great. Happy Hour is great too.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for our team dinner. Our server was excellent and incredibly attentive. The pork candy and chips and dip appetizers were excellent. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. It is very loud so hard to have conversations but talking is overrated anyway! Enjoy!

Yelp
We hosted a dinner at Bosscat for my firm after a long day of training. The staff was great, the food was delicious, and the entire team had a great time. Susan in Private Events was extremely helpful, responding to my emails during the weekend, just a few days before the event. I couldn't have been more impressed.

Yelp
Was in the area, and my daughter found this restaurant on Yelp. Our server was Tony and service was phenomenal. We took advantage of their happy hour menu and ordered a variety of items, including fried pickles, short rib grilled cheese and Korean chicken sliders, as well as Moscow mules...and the beignets (sooo freaking delicious!) Decor, food and service was great and I highly recommend Bosscat!

Yelp
The food and service were exceptional! My husband and I were searching for a new place to try on New Year's Day, but given the holiday, options were limited for both open restaurants and available reservations. We decided to give this spot a shot--and we're so glad we did. Our server, Mosic, truly went above and beyond, offering fantastic food and drink recommendations and even letting us know about the happy hour menu. The cocktails were outstanding; as a whiskey bar, my husband sampled four different whiskey drinks, and each exceeded his expectations. Mosic was also spot on with his food suggestions and even tailored cocktail recommendations based on my husband's preferences. The ambiance was perfect--eclectic decor with just the right lighting--and the food was delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food, an inviting atmosphere, and top-tier service. Five stars to Mosic! He was knowledgeable, personable, and by far one of the best servers we've had in a long time. We'll definitely be returning and requesting him as our server again. Thanks to Mosic, Bosscat has earned our loyalty!

Yelp
Bosscat continues to be a shining example of great ambiance, class, and dining. There chicken and cheese dip is to die for along with the pour decisions cocktail. My lady ordered the creamed corn and it was to die for. We want to especially thank Irwin, our server, for making our experience 10/10 this time. We have been to bosscat before but Irwin made it special for us this time!

Yelp
This is hands down one of the hippest places in town and a must do whenever you're in the neighborhood. Bosscat Kitchen and Libations is just a few blocks from John Wayne Airport and features a beautiful outdoor patio seating and a real hip dining room with a Live DJ during Sunday Brunch. I loved the Shrimp with Grits which had a nice kick to them. Overall this is the place to be, especially when you have visitors from out of town. 5 stars for a killer atmosphere, great food and friendly service! I'II be back! Enjoy and Bon Appétit.

Yelp
This is a beautiful trendy food and bar establishment in the banking or corporate section of Irvine. I loved the interior so I thought the food might be as nice as the decorations. I made a reservation the night before and when we got there, there were only a handful of people in the entire restaurant. To be more specific, there were five parties in a huge restaurant. We were sat next to a party of two with the whole room open for choice. I was very police and got up and spoke with my host about why did she sit me right next to a party of two with the whole restaurant being empty. That started a back and forth nightmare of a downer of why we had to remain where we were because she could not put me in a table for three with the huge hoards of people coming, etc. Long story short, we stayed. The waiter was very nice. He tried to make me happy since he sensed i was upset about the unwillingness to accommodate us with the hostess. I ordered the eggs benedict per his description. It came and as you can see from my picture, it did not look appetizing. Biscuit on the bottom, followed by heavy seasoned pulled pork, fried potatoes--also seasoned--eggs, and a brown gravy. Heavy on heavy on heavy. Got my week's worth of salt. It would have benefited from some spinach and a tomato, and a light, lemony hollandaise sauce. I was so surprised that the food was so bad. This is a nice place in a great area. My friend's burrito was just as bad. I don't recommend this place.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I LOVED the ambiance of this new location and the service was also great! The food, however, was disappointing. We were expecting bar food but it was overly salty and hard for any of us to enjoy. We started with the country bread (cooked perfectly but sooo salty that everyone commented on it and agreed it was hard to eat), garden flatbread (this was my favorite dish- the crispy kale was a nice touch), 12 hr short rib (pretty good but really greasy. I really liked the crispy/fried thin fried onions though). We tried a few of the cocktails as well. 3 out of 4 of the cocktails ordered were unfortunately overly sweet. The winner was a whisky sour. Not sure I'll be back even though Bosscat had been on my list forever, and I really wanted to love this place.

Yelp
Please bring back the poutine and the vegetable pickled jar. These were the two unique items on the menu, and they are gone. Bosscat was our go-to for Friday evenings. The locstionn is nice but those two items were the fun and unique items and now they are replaced with things everybody else has like Nachos.
