"A big restaurant group in Orange County has expanded yet again, this time taking up residence inside an iconic storefront in the heart of Old Towne Orange. The former tenant, Rod’s Liquor, had existed on the same corner for more than 70 years before closing for good in January, paving the way for a new location of Bosscat Kitchen & Libations." - Farley Elliott

Showed up for brunch and was very happy. The food and drinks were great. Staff was on point and a fine meal all together. Had the country fried steak with potatoes and it was amazing. The steak was just fried though to be crunchy but not overly filling. Was great overall id go again!

I was working as a vendor at this venue. The open patio was reserved for a corporate party. Visitors, not involved with the event, were VERY interested in visiting the patio but were politely directed inside to make use of the rest of the location. The corporate guests LOVED the patio. And so did I. It had been a hot day, and the patio temperature was perfect. A buffet was set up with rotating foods always coming out. The wait staff also brought out signature drinks all evening! Because I was working, I didn't eat nor drink. But they kept checking on me to take pictures of me and make sure I had plenty of cool water to keep me hydrated. I have worked at another Bosscat in Irvine, and they are both festive and themed. I'd say the only difference is that the Orange location is a little smaller, comfortably intimate with challenged parking and the Irvine location seems slightly larger, with a narrower outdoor patio and a WONDERFUL, multi-level parking structure directly beside the venue. You should check out both these places. Even when I've worked events at either Bosscat, there are always regular patrons filling up the rest of the spaces. Check out their menu and libation selections before you go so you'll know what you want before you get there. Enjoy!!!

Food is good with great presentation. But the coffee was blah- tasted like it was watered down. Kale salad could be better if there was more of the shredded cheese, tomatoes were yummy sweet. Cinnamon was delicious. The shredded pork tasted good though the poached egg were too well cooked.

I love BossCat. I went there for brunch, which was amazing. Decided to go for dinner, and wasn't disappointed. Nick, the on-site manager, was great and even packed my items for me afterward. Justine, our waitress, was the best, and it was busy, but she was still on top of it. Nothing but good vibes and good food. Would recommend it for sure. Take a look. I had the pig candy, literally melted in my mouth, and when paired with the kimchi :). Also had the sugar barrel steak with added garlic shimp....best steak I have had in orange county and cooked to perfection, along with Cajun brick chicken... beautiful. All the flavors were there, and even the bosscat fries were good. So go check the place out, it's not usually too busy if you go after 6 pm.

First time at orange location. Our server was very polite and very helpful, food was delicious, shrimp salad, the appetizers and fish dishes were grilled to perfection. Decor is very elegant and beautiful as well.

We stopped in on our way up to the Bill Pickett Rodeo. The drink I had was amazing burbon & coffee. (Cant remember the name SORRY) The burger was underwhelming to look at but packed with flavor! I added Avocado & bacon. My girlfriend had Shrimp & Grits. Hella good! Wish I got photo they didn't last long. Lol Cheesy & savory. The beinets were delicious. Best I've had in Cali 🤌🏾

We didn’t plan on coming here. We had planned on going to another restaurant and last minute decided to try this place out and I’m so glad we did! What an amazing little gem downtown !! From the moment we walked into the moment we left we were greeted with excellent customer service happy & employees. The food was excellent. We came for happy hour. We tried just about everything on the happy ha ha My favorite was the Butter, burger, and spicy Korean barbecue sliders oh let’s not forget the hand cut french fries They are amazing and The house made special catchup and cilantro Dipping sauce !!!!! So many choices of different cocktails, but I have to say the hounds down the old-fashioned was definitely the perfect choice Ambience ! Our server Cherie was so friendly and extremely informative, She brought a lot of laughter and good vibes each time she checked in on us ! She is an amazing person ! To be honest All employees seemed happy and they were always smiling and answered any questions with Knowledge and happiness! Let me tell you I’ve been to plenty restaurants where you walk up and the hostess is so friendly and it makes it such a horrible experience off the bat, but not here the hostess was so friendly smiley and eager to make our experience a good first experience ! We definitely will be back and back with a group of friends for sure !!!

Yelp
Pretty good brunch place, serving mostly southern style food. We came here close to opening on a Sunday for brunch. It wasn't busy yet so we were able to get seats and our food quickly. The service was great, which helps distract from the forgettable ambiance. The food was solid, mostly standard brunch options with southern inspired flair. Portions were also southern inspired and I could barely finish my food. I had the short rib chilaquiles with an egg. It was surprisingly balanced and tasty compared to the way it looked. My friend tried the peach cobbler waffle, which I liked more. I also had an espresso martini which felt a little light but delicious

Yelp
Service was very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure to be aware of the allergies at our table and made us very comfortable. I've been to the Irvine location often for happy hour, but I actually prefer the atmosphere of this location. It's much more open and roomy and has a great outdoor patio space for brunch. Brunch was delicious as always which is hard to come by since most restaurants with multiple locations tend to have one better than the other. But, not the case here definitely the same consistency as the Irvine location! The shrimp and grits was a pleasant surprise and was our favorite dish that we got for sure. I recommend anyone to come for a quick delicious brunch. Also, the mimosa's carafe isn't premixed

Yelp
went here for my cousin's 21st birthday per his request!! the place itself is in old town orange and its honestly super cute! great ambiance and theres a lot of seating (both indoors and on the patio -- great for a nice dinner with friends or family. we ordered the 12 hour beef short rib, bosscat fries, spicy chicken & cheese dip, carolina bbq salmon, and chicken sausage pasta! everything was really good. i especially loved the chips that came with the dip, they were thick yet super crispy and i would eat just those if i could. the fries are good too but not as crispy and maybe not my cup of tea because of how thick cut they are. i got the carolina bbq salmon and it was sooo good! their salmon was well seasoned and cooked so that it was still super moist/fatty inside and the sauce & veggies it came with paired well with it. i also tried a bit of the short rib which was super tender and soft -- my cousins favorite. i didnt try the pasta but my other cousin really enjoyed it! they also got drinks: a moscow mule ($8 for happy hour) and a monthly special i dont remember what its called but it has strawberry sour and whiskey. the moscow mule is your typical moscow mule nothing special but the cup it came in was cute. the strawberry sour one was very whiskey forward but i thought it was enjoyable. the servers were also really sweet and gave my cousin ice cream for his birthday! i wish they gave one of their special desserts but we will take what we can get haha. i think everything costed $162 for the three entrees, one app, one side, and two drinks, which isn't too bad but personally i never go to these kinds of american restaurants so it's a bit pricey to me. but overall very solid American food to get if that's what you're looking for!

Gill C.

Yelp
New favorite resto in Orange. On a recent trip with the family, decided to late lunch and enjoy some craft cocktails and delicious food. I had tomato bisque and berry summer salad combo. It came with the most amazing sourdough bread. My Moscone Mule had perfect ginger beer to vodka to lime ratio. The most delicious thing was for dessert -fried apple pie. It's literally one of the best things I've ever tasted with the vanilla ice cream accompanying it. I the caramel sauce needs to be bottled and sold commercially! Our server was outstanding, super patient, knowledgeable, and attentive! Love the vibe of this place! Imagine it gets pretty busy in the evenings do make ressies! Cannot wait to return!!

Yelp
You can never go wrong when going to Bosscat. It does tend to get busy so I highly suggest to get there early or make a reservation, especially if you are going with a group of friends/coworkers. The restaurant is located in the old Rod's Liquor in Old Towne Orange. Their menu is Southern inspired and they specialize in whiskey. They even have a room you can reserve that is quite posh. Perfect for all the IG people who like to take pics. I always try to visit during happy hour which is from 3pm-6pm. They have some appetizers, food, drinks, and beers at a great price. I tend to order the short rib grilled cheese because it is so filling and I pair it with the Bosscat fries. I can order a million orders of those fries because they are that good. They are definitely a must try. If you do not eat meat, they have lots of other entrees that are great, too. The salads and sandwiches are really good. They are pet friendly so you can also bring your food babies and enjoy some great food with great company out in the patio. Definitely a great place to hang out in the summer.

Terri K.

Yelp
Every food & drink was AMAZING! We didn't make reservations for an early meal (4:30pm) on a Saturday but if you want indoor table then make a reservation. Covered front patio was pleasant with fans on. Ordered 2 mixed drinks that were taking quite a while, the manager came over acknowledged the wait & comp'd them for us. The Bosscat whiskey drink & Wouldnt You drink were delicious, worth the wait. The food was so fresh & hot. Pork chop & salmon meals are top notch. Bosscat fries are thick cut & yummy. We topped it off with the Mississippi mud pie which is huge. Our server was excellent. Nice decor & vibe. We'll definitely be back.

Marcos V.

Yelp
Swung in on a Saturday morning for brunch with 3 friends. We were quickly sat as it looked to be a slow morning but ambiance was good. Overall service was fine but food took long. Our favorite was the whipped ricotta toast as everything else we ordered was just okay given price points.

Chris F.

Yelp
Nice surprise. Got taken here for dinner and the food was fantastic. Our server was super attentive and everyone in the restaurant was very cordial. Nick, the manager goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and I would definitely come back here. Great experience in the orange circle.

Jose H.

Yelp
Good service and decent food. The flat bread was delicious and the goddess salad with salmon was a good choice. Dark and moody space. On the expensive side..

Rachel B.

Yelp
Love coming here with friends! Great for birthday celebration or a great happy hour during the week. Also, the drinks are BOMB. The Good Life drink is my personal fav for something light and sweet. Went here on Saturday night. Getting reservations was easy through the website, our server was so much fun, and my fried chicken sandwich was delicious with a jalapeño cheddar bun. Sat in the patio area, nice and open. Always recommend coming here!!

Christine T.

Yelp
First off, the parking here is TERRIBLE. I circled the area for 20 minutes trying to find parking. My friends and I got a reservation here at 2pm for brunch on a Saturday. Due to the parking issue, we arrived a little late at 2:10. As soon as we were sat, we were informed that the kitchen would be closing and last call was at 2:15! We felt so rushed to order. Even if we had gotten there on time at 2pm, I don't think 15 minutes is enough time to settle down and decide on a meal and order. They should not be seating people that closely to kitchen closing. I got the breakfast burrito (good, but greasy) and my friends got the chilaquiles (also good). We got the beignets to share (dense, not fluffy, wouldn't recommend). Overall, food was good, but not worth the parking situation and poor service.

Diana W.

Yelp
This was my first time at Bosscat in their Orange, CA location. It was located in Old Town which is located near the traffic circle. Parking was not as easy to find as it's very busy. Upon my arrival we were greeted with a smile and although we had reservations we still had to wait. The Ambiance is very loud and busy. They have an outdoor patio area that is covered. The food and drinks were amazing. The beignets were so fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. This is a cool and fun spot and if you love bourbon and whiskey this is just the spot for you! I suggest making reservations as they are extremely busy! Let me know what you think

Patrick A.

Yelp
Came here for the first time to this location with my wife to have brunch. Started out with Bloody Mary (me) and Nighthawk Espresso Martini (wifey) which were both really tasty. We split the country fried steak with scrambled eggs and the Bosscat fries. The country fried steak was a little tough at first, but our server was nice enough to bring it back and gave us a new one that was much softer. As for the Bosscat fries, it was nice and salty.....BUT it was missing the crunch and extra fry that I'm used to having from the Irvine location. All good though, as we will be coming back again to give it a second chance!!

John O.

Yelp
Honestly we've only been here for brunch, but we enjoy that a lot. One factor is that they take reservations and it sure is better than all the zombie lines for weekend brunch around the circle. The menu is quite varied with many appealing entrees that should appeal to a wide range of tastes. Start with a cocktail cause it's brunch baby! The Flaming Hot Cheetos Bloody Mary is a fun choice. We've enjoyed a number of the entrees and found them all delicious. Service was pleasant and attentive for our most recent group of 6. We sat on the covered patio which offers some good people watching. I love that they respect the history of this location with many nods to the old Rod's Liquors that was here for decades.

Tina T.

Yelp
I tried bosscat for the first time with a few girlfriends for a birthday. The Brussel sprouts and 12 hour beef short rib were my fav! We also tried the mushroom fries and white fish with risotto. The fish was a bit salty for our tastebuds. Service was great. Our water was refilled and we were checked on often.

Yelp
Bosscat Kitchen is a whiskey bar that serves American comfort food with locations in Orange, Irvine, and Houston. We came here on a Saturday night and made reservations beforehand for a party of three. This location in Orange had limited street parking and no private lot so I parked a bit further away and walked over. PORK BELLY POUTINE ($15) - this was so good! It was cheesy and not super salty. My only issue with it was that it was wedge fries but other than that, it was a solid poutine. 4/5 12 HOUR BEEF SHORT RIB ($37) - this is their top item and I can see why. This short ribs were so tender that I didn't even need a knife. Even the potatoes and green beans were delicious and flavorful too. Even though I was really full I pushed to clean my plate because it was so good. This dish definitely hit the spot and I recommend getting this. 5/5 I also tried a bite of the sugar barrel steak ($37) and that tasted great too. For drinks I got the 38 special ($14) which was delicious and right up my alley. I also got the gentle reminder ($15) which was orangey and slightly bitter. Both were good but I preferred the 38 special. The vibes were cool and it felt very lively with all the upbeat music. I really liked the food here and will definitely come back again!

Isabelle W.

Yelp
My boyfriends family and I came here during Chapman graduation for a late night dinner. There is surprisingly so much seating and we didn't have to wait at all which was amazing! The restaurant itself also has a great vibe. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. If you like cilantro also ask for their ranch on the side--so good!!!

David B.

Yelp
Chloe was our server and really went above and beyond to accommodate our gluten allergy, food recommendations and she stayed on top with drink refills and order accuracy. We were a chatty bunch and she left a great impression on us with her professionalism and attentiveness. We will gladly return! Lunch menu prices are great and patio seating was a plus. I recommend the JT bowl with Ahi and the Make the Call mezcal/banana/vanilla drink Way to go Chloe!

Joy P.

Yelp
I've been coming to this spot at the Orange Circle for years and it never disappoints. This time around I got the their waffle chicken sandwich from their brunch menu and it was super sweet and savory, just what I was craving! The quality of their food and the amount is totally worth the price and the service is really good. I do recommend making reservations when possible because this is a pretty busy spot especially for happy hour and dinner times. I do love their decor and I always look forward to seeing new menu items. Our favorite is the short rib sandwich that they typically have on their regular menu. This is definitely a great date night spot too.

Wendell C.

Yelp
My first time here was on Thanksgiving (2023) with friends/family. No one felt like cooking so because a couple people in our party had been here before and Bosscat had a Thanksgiving special we said "Let's Do It". We arrived and it has a really nice interior. The staff was friendly and walked us to our table. Our server was very nice and was attentive. They came back to the table just enough without it being too much. You can tell they were paying attention to us, which I appreciate. The manager on duty stopped by to check on us as well. All the food was brought to the table at at the same time with the help of additional staff. Our table was loaded. Everything was hot and very tasty. All traditional Thanksgiving items were served. Of course we had Apple pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Needless to say I'll be back to enjoy Bosscat during a normal day. I like good food, service and atmosphere and you'll get all three here.

Ben H.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed hanging out here for happy hour. It's a good bang for your buck and everybody got options for food and drinks. The grilled cheese was okay. Kind of straightforward meaty and cheesy and not too inspiring but comforting nonetheless. The butter burger was amazing. So creamy, juicy, and of course... buttery. Highly recommend. Fries were super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside as god intended. The drinks were just alright and unremarkable. The old-fashioned I got was quite average. The vibes of the place was kind of quiet during this happy hour but it was such a nice day to hang out near the window. Service was overall pleasant and friendly. There's a parking structure nearby if you can't find street parking around the area Food: 7/10 Service: 7/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Value: 6/10

Snadie Mae M.

Yelp
Always have a wonderful meal when we go. The ambiance is lovely out on the patio. The waiter was very attentive. Loved the portobello mushroom fries here. We can't hardly find them at other restaurants. Tonight we were able to see some classic cars while we enjoyed our meal.

Shaeli Z.

Yelp
Always a fan of this place! Great food, atmosphere and staff. Been trying all of the menu

Noemi C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed dining here. Food, service, and cleanliness of this restaurant is superb. I made a reservation ahead of time and once we arrived, we were seated immediately. Our server was Chris and he was incredible. Not only was he informative but he was kind and courteous. We ordered appetizers such as, country bread and the chicken and cheese dip, they were so good! Our entrees were amazing! We ordered 3 buttered steak plates and 1 pasta plate. Following our dinner, we ordered DELICIOUS beignets. They were so good!!!! Overall experience was very impressive. We will definitely return and try different items off the menu. Thank you for the hospitality!!

Irena T.

Yelp
Popped in for weekday happy hour (3-6pm). Select craft beers are $6. There was plenty of seating and they have some tvs around to watch sports games. The food is decent, not superb, but hits the spot for the happy hour prices. Service was great. Convenient free parking structure located about a block away.

Stefanie D.

Yelp
Thank you to Robin for reaching out to invite us back in to have a better experience. My husband and I are definitely impressed with the quality of service and flavors of the food offered here this time around, and we think that the first visit was just an unlucky night. During this second visit, the food came out promptly and our server, Hailey, would check in on us frequently, make sure our waters were filled, and would just make sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. We ordered the pig candy as a starter, and it paired so well with the daikon kimchi. I'm not typically a fan of kimchi, but this dish paired kimchi and pork belly so well that I ate it with every bite. My main entree was the pork chop. I am also not a typical pork chop girl, but this cut was tender, flavorful, and juicy! The portion size was just right for me and I was left feeling satisfied and not painfully full. The polenta and green beans that came with the pork chop really complemented the pork chop and balanced out the dish very well. I thoroughly enjoyed the tenderness and juiciness of the pork chop. For dessert, we opted for the chocolate buttermilk bar. It was amazing. I've never had a dessert like that before, but you bet we ate every last crumb on the plate. The chocolate wasn't too sweet, and the softness of the chocolate paired perfectly with the chewiness of the nougat that it sat on top of. I really wish it was bigger just because I loved it, but the portion size was perfect to be shared between two. I had such a better experience this second time around, and I'd come back just for their dessert. I do recommend dining here during lunch time rather than dinner time on a weekend in order to avoid large crowds and potential long wait times! Thank you again Robin - we appreciate you!

Maritza S.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting Bosscat. I took my mother-in-law for lunch and we had such an amazing experience. I had two drinks, and they were perfectly made. I ordered the sugar barrel steak. The meat was well seasoned but the compound butter on top was the kicker. The butter was so full of umami and I dipped every bite of my steak into it. The green beans on the side were super flavorful in the baked potato was also tasty. For dessert we got the beignets. To me they were more like freshly made donuts but still quite delicious. The chocolate sauce on the side was nice pairing. Our server was there when we needed something, and gave us plenty of space to chat. Service was never intrusive in our table was kept clean throughout our dining experience.

Nick J.

Yelp
Hi folks, I did not drink here so I can judge the drinks they looked good. The burger was kinda dry and overcooked the star of the show is there cilantro ranch which was great on everything. Service was good but food was okay. I would give them another chance. I wish they had a rotating menu.

Earl G.

Yelp
Came back to give this place another chance during a less busy lunch on a Wednesday and was thoroughly impressed by the food and service! Robin and Hayley were very attentive and helpful for the menu suggestions since I was not satisfied with the dish I ordered last time. Pig Candy - I'm not the biggest fan of kimchi, but this dish needs it for its great balance of sweet, savory and sourness! The decadent melt-in-your-mouth pork belly is very enjoyable with the kimchi cutting through the fattiness. Sugar Barrel Steak - Also pleasantly surprised since an NY strip isn't my favorite steak cut but this one was very juicy and tender! Cowboy butter was flavorful with a hint of citrus that makes you crave more bites. The baked potato had a jalapeño cheddar sauce that was good and the green beans were seasoned well. Chocolate Bourbon Buttermilk Bar - Very decadent dessert with a smooth mousse like topping and nougat crust. The berries and cream cheese on the side help balance out the bites as well. I'll definitely be back to try their lunch menu and more cocktails since this is a restaurant very worth trying in downtown Orange!

Steven B.

Yelp
This was my 2nd time coming here, but first time to eat. There is a lot of history to this place including the old liquor store before this and rods. It's been around a very long time and definitely gives the Orange Circle some charm. The ambience and decorations inside are awesome. I came here last night with my beautiful date. We had dinner at 5pm. Just before they started to get very busy. Our server was Charisse, and she was a gem. Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. If you read this Charisse, I am coming back for your Kale Salad! We ordered the shaved pork chop sandwich combo and for me the traditional bosscat burger, hold the pickles! She loved her sandwich and had some leftovers to boot. I gobbled mine. Both were excellent. Charisse was excellent. My date was excellent. This is a definite place to go when you come to the Orange Circle which you should. 5 stars for all of the above. I shall return!

Melika J.

Yelp
Was seated quickly and my server was attentive. The place has a nice ambiance and is decorated great for photos! We had the charcuterie board and it greatly paired with drinks. More of a casual place, great for a night out. Only thing I will say though is that the menu is limited.

Annie P.

Yelp
Food is good. Protein pancakes were delicious. Nothing to complain about but also nothing to rave about. I don't come often for brunch but their dinner is always so good! The tables are small for two people but I'm sure you can ask for other tables if available. We went on Sunday at like 11:30 and there were plenty of seats no wait.

Jasmine F.

Yelp
This was my first time here and we came on a Sunday Morning for a mini baby shower! We rented out a small room here that sat about 12 or so people. It was a cute little room that was surrounded by alcohol haha not ideal for a baby shower but I still loved the aesthetic! Service was very accommodating and we even had the option of playing our own music from their speakers in the room. We came during brunch time and it surprisingly wasn't that crowded. My cousin and I ordered the Apple Cheesecake Waffle and the Smokehouse Benedict to split. Portions were huge and we ended up bringing home the leftovers. The Apple Cheesecake waffle was delicious but tasted more like a dessert. Between the two I would choose the Smokehouse Benedict. The hash gave the dish a nice crunch and the egg was nice and runny along the biscuit! We also ordered mimosas for the table, but it was a bit to tangy for my tasting. Overall the food was delicious but I just wish food presentation was a bit cleaner. Parking was free. You can either park on the street (2 hour max) or in the parking structure a few streets down.

Sara H.

Yelp
I forgot to take pictures of our appetizers but honestly they were my favorite part of the meal! We had the California Onion Dip (holy cow) and the Puller Pork Hushpuppies. Both were absolutely phenomenal in portions and flavor. If I had to pick one between the two it would be the dip for sure. It was insane. We enjoyed our entrees as well. I'd say the favorite was the BC press. The chicken was a little dry for my liking. The short rib also stood out as one of the better entrees. Finished it off with an espresso martini and some dessert. Overall a cool vibe and our server was great at anticipating our needs.

Francesca S.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've had in a long time. Utterly delicious and worth the price. General aesthetic of the restaurant is inviting and unique. Cocktails are gold! Our waiter, Skyler, was super on it and friendly; I had a hard time deciding between a few options and he was able to provide unbiased advice. We indulged in dessert and I had one of the best apple pies I've ever had in my life.

Yulia P.

Yelp
Service and ambiance are great for a night out or a casual lunch. You can dress up or have a casual meal in a great location! Their craft drinks are great also.

Mimi L.

Yelp
We had one of the most pleasant brunch experiences at this southern restaurant and bar at old town Orange. This whiskey bar is very stylish and unique, I really liked the cute decorations. Brunch menu was surprisingly good with impressive gluten free options. Our very friendly waitress showed me the dinner menu too. It also has good selections of gluten free! We decided on country fried steak, flap jacked (GF) and tater tots. We loved our big portioned comfort brunch food. The almond protein pancake was the most delicious and healthy for my taste. Hubby had a specialty whiskey cocktail and he liked it not bad. I had my favorite Mexican sparkling water Topo Chico. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive the entire time. I really loved our relaxing little brunch and we will definitely be back for dinner real soon!

Great food and great vibes. Private room available for celebrations. The ambiance and music make for a fun place to meet with friends. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Loved this place! Only downside was the parking. We came at 11:30 am on a Tuesday and had difficulty finding parking so I can't imagine how it might be during busier hours or the weekend. Service and food was great! I had the pancakes and my friends had the short rib chiliaqules and we all enjoyed our food! Definitely can't wait to come back and try some of their drinks.

Yelp
Service was good. Food came out quickly. Shrimp & grits - grits was good but I felt shrimp should've been bigger. Bread on the side was yummy. Crispy chicken - crispy skin was delicious but chicken was a little dry. Good thing I asked for side of jalapeño cheese sauce to dip It in. Dirty rice was tasty - might be spicy for some. Greens were perfect. BBQ salmon - succotash was delish. Salmon was decent.

Yelp
Bosscat is such a fun vibe. We had a great time, met some cool people, had few delicious cocktails & appetizers, everything was on point. I loved ambience, the bartenders & staff were super friendly & attentive, a good time for sure, we'll definitely be back again.

Yelp
After a night out we were looking for something that was still open. We found this great establishment on Yelp. It was already getting late around 9:45pm when we arrived but it was still very lively inside and there was no wait. Our waitress was very energetic and gave us some great suggestions. We decided to have a couple of cocktails and spilt a sandwich because if you know me I rarely get hungry after 8pm. Food was delicious I especially loved the salad. Our drinks came out very quickly and so did our meal. It was nicely cooked and my friend said it best it hit the spot for him. The establishment is nicely decorated and music was loud which I didn't mind because it was my type of music. Great for big party and date night with friends or someone special. I would come back next time. Highly recommend but parking can be hard to find.

Yelp
Checked out this place during their happy hour and was very impressed by the quality of the food & service. The portions were decent for happy hour and the drinks were good. The house wine is a Cabernet which is pretty standard. The whisky sour was made well (+$3 for egg whites) on top of happy hour pricing. Our server was very attentive, kept checking in on us and refilling the water. Overall, this is a great spot for a casual evening happy hour to meet up & catch up with friends.

Yelp
All in all, this place was pretty solid. The server we had was great, made good recommendations to us for food and drinks. Unfortunately, the dessert was raw in the middle and had to be sent back. The server had it replaced and took it off our bill, which was appreciated but wasn't necessarily. I was happy with just having it replaced. I would definitely give them another shot even with the one dish having to be sent back. If everything is on point next time, they would definitely earn that 5th star.

Yelp
I haven't been to a Bosscat in a while but I had a request from family to meet for brunch and it was a perfect opportunity to go to this newer location in the middle of downtown Orange. Ya know that impossible roundabout which is so annoying here in the States because there are so few and we are not used to driving them. Tip #1 avoid the roundabout if you can. There are plenty of free public parking lots and buildings within a short walking distance. Now on to the ambiance and the foodz... it feels like an upscale Lucille's, kinda cool western. We ordered all three of my favorite brunch meals: Loco Moco, Shrimp and Grits, and my all-time fave Country fried steak and eggs. The winner here: the Loco Moco. The gravy was delicious, the meat patties were charbroiled with white rice and the egg. Omg to die for. Second place: the shrimp and grits. Slightly spicy and full of flavor. Last place: the country fried steak. It wasn't fabulous but still good and they cooked my eggs perfectly as ordered. Medium. We ended the meal with the Fruity Pebbles French toast. That one was disappointing compared to the original. I blame it on the low quality bread. Our server was Hayley. She was on it. Periodic checks kept our coffees hot and iced water topped up. She was so attentive and so polite. It was that rainy weekend in Feb so the restaurant wasn't full and we sat and chatted for a couple of hours. So nice. Recommend this spot for dependably delicious meals. Definitely worth it!

Yelp
Some friends and I were having a girl's day out. It wasn't packed when we arrived, and the staff were friendly. We ordered a totally of 3 drinks, 2 wines and a mixed drink. The service was fast, and the drinks were pretty good.

Yelp
Best Happy Hour ever? So many great options under $10! Our server Amanda was friendly and helpful, and really attentive -- a huge plus when you're trying to capitalize on the Happy Hour time window. The house Old Fashioned at $9 was strong and delish, and the house cab for $7 or $8 (can't remember) was a generous pour too. As for food, wow. The short rib grilled cheese was as good as it sounds, and the spicy Korean chicken sliders had a good punch of spice and pickled vegetables. The fried pickles and burger were also good! I'd love to come back soon. The ambiance, service and value make it a no brainer.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, always great and proactive service, creative and delicious food. First time at this new location, parking was surprisingly easy.

Yelp
Lots of Southern spice inspired recipes here. The location was originally a liquor store for decades, and they actually kept a few of the accents from the original business, like the big ICE signs. It's a very hip spot with a few big screens, and very cool big balloon chairs in the waiting area. The food was very flavorful and fried. Even the apple pie! That was the best part of the meal for sure!
