The 25 Best Restaurants & Bars In Santa Barbara

"Just down the street from La Super-Rica, Bossie’s Kitchen is the perfect cafe for when you need a break from the crowded restaurants downtown. This casual counter-service spot is part-deli, part-doughnut shop, and part-neighborhood bistro, and it’s located in a former dairy plant. There isn’t much space inside, but the string-lit patio out front offers a nice place to relax with lunch after a hike, or sit down to a leisurely dinner. During the day, the restaurant serves options like a Korean fried chicken sandwich and citrus salad, while dinner features rotating specials like lemongrass shrimp curry and chicken pot pie. Bossie’s is a true local gem. The food never fails to amaze me. The peach salad is an absolute standout, but every dish feels thoughtfully and lovingly homemade. The servers are attentive and make everyone feel genuinely welcome, specially the young lady from Argentina! You can’t miss this spot.

Google
If you're in Santa Barbara, you can't miss Bossie's Kitchen for either lunch or dinner - both are great! Every time we're in town we make a stop or two if time allows. The staff is friendly and courteous, outdoor seating is nice, and the dishes are consistently excellent. I've enjoyed everything I've tried on the menu and would also recommend the specials as those have also been quite delicious. The food and vibe here are great!

Google
We went because of a referral from a TV show and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was exquisite, the donuts are spectacular, the place is beautiful, very familiar, I left very happy and satisfied. Highly recommended.👌

Google
My favorite lunch spot in Santa Barbara. Even my impatient teenager will happily wait for the food here because of its high quality. We like the half sandwich and side door lunch. My teenager loves the turkey sandwich with mac and cheese and I love the BLT with side salad (citrus or peach salad). I would say it's the best BLT I've ever had and I've had quite a few. The daily soup special is also worth considering, with great bread on the side. Fresh iced tea too. Can be a bit crazy on peak at it's also popular with the local high school kids so we try to get there around 11:30 or after 1. Great pastries too. Summer update: food still great, but kitchen was slower when we visited. Don't come here if you're in a rush, but this place really deserves a visit for lunch when you have say 75+ mins.

Google
Great place to grab large portion for lunch if you are in the Milpas area. We would have liked the chicken more crispy, maybe it was not roasted enough? The portions are big! I love the inside atmosphere and deco. The donuts are the best in Santa Barbara.

Roberta Peek

Google
Visiting the area stopped here for lunch to takeout. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. Also selected a Berry Pistachio donut, A Chocolate Pistachio Sea Salt Cruller, and a Brown Butter-Miso Walnut Sesame cookie. The sandwich was fabulous. Great flavors would definitely get that again. The sweets though weren't my favorite. Especially at that price point I was expecting amazing. And the flavors just weren't there for me. I wish I could have tried the Passion Fruit Coconut donut but it was sold out already. And the Brown Butter Vanilla Cruller was all taken by a group of ladies in front of me and they were raving about those. Also, when I got home the Berry donut had no frosting on it because it was stuck to the inside of the bag they slide them into so that was also disappointing. But it's a cute restaurant. Love the atmosphere inside and out. And very friendly staff.

Google
On two separate visits to Santa Barbara I have been brought here by different hosts. They are obviously doing something right at Bossie’s Kitchen. We had the Korean fried chicken, and a grilled cheese sandwich with avocado. Both were delicious. We had some donuts for dessert to top off a great meal. The service was great and the casual dining was very relaxing on a perfect California evening.

Google
Food was decent, service wasn't. After ordering it seemed like we were forgotten about. When our food (finally) arrived, the staff forgot part of our order. That part also took a long time to get to us. We asked for a refill on waters, and one of our glasses only got filled halfway. It wasn't that busy - maybe two tables outside and 3-4 inside with customers. The table behind us seemed to be getting prompt service, so I'm not sure of their secret. Not coming back, pretty disappointed.

Yelp
Our happy place! My wife and I have been coming to Bossie's for a number of years, before the cow went flying off the roof. It is our happy place. The food is always wonderful, the wait staff is friendly, kind, and attentive. Bossie's is a special place that radiates the care and love that the people who work there have for what they make and for their business. We cannot recommend Bossie's highly enough. If it were possible to give Bossie's 10 stars we would.

Yelp
The donuts here are heaven on earth. It's almost insulting to call them donuts - they are truly a different level . The strawberry jasmine was DIVINE. Fluffy, balanced, delicious. We got the Korean friend chicken sandwich, and pork belly sandwich. Both were delicious. The slaw spills out doubling as a salad. The Korean fried chicken was a little heavy on the gojuchang sauce - be ready for some heat! My preference of the two was the pork belly. Perfectly looks with a Fresh slaw with a bit of mint Truffle fries: good but not needed. They were large rustic cut. The large order can feed about 4 ppl. If you're a party of 2, order the small Staff is very nice. Vibe is cute and casual. 10/10 highly recommend

Yelp
I think the chicken pot pie was good. It was super hot. The side of Mac and cheese was not fresh so I would not order that again. The chicken sandwiches here were also good according to my friends. The service was very good. The ambiance was clean. You should make a reservation if you are going here before a concert. We went last Wednesday and it was packed.

Yelp
We drove from LA to visit Bossie's for lunch but they were closed. We found that they updated their hours to cease lunch operations on Yelp today. It still states lunch is available on their website.

Yelp
Just happened to discover this tasteful, little establishment before attending a concert at the nearby Santa Barbara Bowl. We got in early and the place quickly filled to capacity with both inside and outside dining. The grilled cheese sandwich and soup were excellent. Equally excellent was the friendly service. Such a nice find!

Yelp
Took off work and drove all the way up from L.A. to go there for lunch. They were closed. Yelp was updated THAT DAY that they are now closed for lunch. Come on guys-- be a little proactive. Especially if you were planning on not opening for lunch after Labor Day, this is something you could have posted well in advance. Website STILL SAYS they're open for lunch on weekdays.

Yelp
Soooo glad they are back open! We love the delicious, farm to table homey eats and love to bring guests from out of town to eat multiple dishes family style here. Huge fans of the chicken pot pie (which our 10 year old describes as exceptional) and the salmon and farro dish. We also love all of their salads and appreciate the rotating market salad which always has the best items from the farmers market. Food is always consistently good and seriously feels like every dish is made with love.

Yelp
Been meaning to do a review for quite some time now. I have been there twice in the past year. Both times I wondered why I hadn't tried this long ago. It reminds me of a 'high end' Sojourner that was a legendary eatery for over a decade. The options are creative and something for just about every craving. Wait staff is cool, but not too cool. So impressive for many reasons. ENJOY!!!

Yelp
Pork belly and fried chicken sandwich connoisseur come here! (They are two different sandwiches not a combination of the two proteins together) The sandwiches are a decent size the only critique es that the slaw is excessive. The pork belly is generous amount and cooked crispy, oily and delicious. The chicken is fried but not dry with Asian inspired flavors. Did I tell you they have donuts and cookies! They have one of the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted. It's flat but chewy. Their donuts are delicious and with the enough flavor! I am definitely going back to try different items on their menu. Located on Milpas close to the bowl!

Yelp
Guys, get here as quickly as you can.. pas go and who cares if you collect your $200... just go! Sell boardwalk and go!! Everything is delicious- serves 2 easily. I will be back again and again!!
google avatar

Sheila R.

Yelp
Disappointed that they didn't respond to my review or anyone's for that matter. I won't be back. They lost a potentially good customer!

Yelp
Bossie's Kitchen is BOMB! I live dangerously close to it. I should probably explore the menu more but I always get the same things. My go to is the pork belly sandwich. That sandwich is everything. The pork belly is so juicy. That umami from the fish sauce pairs so well with the cabbage slaw and herbs. I want one now. The Korean chicken sandwich is something I always order as well. It's crispy and has a slight kick to it. It's a heavier sandwich than the pork belly to me but thankfully it has a nice slaw on it to cut that fried-ness. Also, the side of Mac and cheese is like the Mac and cheese of cheeses. Holy Bossie. So good! With that crispy, crumble breadcrumb on top. Please get this instead of the fries!
google avatar

Shelley P.

Yelp
I've never tried the actual food here, but the donuts are to DIE for. They're huge, pillowy, and a major source of comfort and encouragement for me during the week. I love the creative flavors- so far I've tried the hibiscus rhubarb, kumquat cardamom & pistachio, and I think blood orange guava. These fresh, fruity, and floral combinations flawlessly balance out the relative heaviness/slight savoriness of the donut itself. For me, inhaled in minutes (Hook & Press who?).

Yelp
Bossies was closed for a sec, but I'm so excited they are back! Gochujang rice bowl with pork belly is delicious, Korean fried chicken sandwich is delicious, grilled cheese with bacon is delicious, truffle fries are delicious, cookies and mochi cakes are delicious. Lol Ambiance could use a tiny bit more attention. Eat here, it's so good and staff is so nice!

Yelp
Awesome customer service, ambiance and delicious food. The Korean BBQ chicken sandwich was amazing. Very dog friendly patio. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of.

Yelp
Cute little location at the top of Milpas. Great food. Started with the caesar which was very well dressed. Truffle fries to match were good, though could have used maybe a double fry to be crisper and fluffier? Chicken pot pie is the go to special for the day and it's solid. Really great crust and a soul-warming pot pie filling. Want to come back to try the burger some time!

Yelp
We came here directly after an awful experience at a waterfront seafood restaurant and were overjoyed by the great service we were met with. We were seated in the cute outdoor area. Restaurant and patio area was very clean and comfortable. Food was exceptionally simple but delicious. The biscuits are buttery, crunchy on the outside and perfectly moist inside. Even before we finished our dinner, we decided to return for lunch on the last day of our Santa Barbara vacation...thinking of ordering a couple biscuits for the 4.5 hour road trip back home. Waitress was very friendly and helpful!

Yelp
*specifically for Korean Fried Chicken Sando + fries I've been here twice I've not tried anything else Both times the quality was the same Yay for consistency! The fry on the chicken is excellent, Very crisp on the outside, Juicy on the inside Slaw is very fresh and crunchy and well dressed The side of fries are thick cut and texturally so satisfying with a crispy exterior and soft inside Only thing I would change is either to ask for the sauce that's on the chicken to be on the side or to ask for light on the sauce. Just a tad too sweet for me.. Also, if they had mayo for the fries that would be bonus points...they have a buttermilk aioli but it's pretty thin and I want something thick and creamy because I'm a fatty

Yelp
OMG, where to start. The food is amazing and imaginative. The service is caring. I've been here for two dinners and one lunch. The Thai curry is lovely and gentle. The Albacore dinner with bok choy was mind blowing. The location is away from the main fray. however if the SB Bowl has a concert, then parking can be a challenge.

Yelp
With June/Pride month coming to an end, I wanted to toss out a final review for a fabulously owned LGBTQ, Asian and Women-owned business. When they first opened, you couldn't pass by without seeing Miss Bossie herself--a cow status that stood on the roof. Unfortunately after multiple accounts of vandalism, Bossie has been relocated. Nonetheless, once you find Bossie's up on Milpas Street you too will become a regular. Some folks complain about the steep prices, yet everything is local when possible and made fresh upon the order being placed. While I was tempted by many menu options, the Heirloom BLT Sandwich called my name. Jesus, it was a monster of a sandwich with ripe tomatoes and perfectly smoked bacon slices. I also must mention that the side of fries were to die for. I always cave at ordering fries but these are made fresh and perfectly crispy and crunchy. Know that you can order a half sandwich if you're not starving. Oh and did someone say donuts?! To me, they have THE BEST donuts in Santa Barbara. Although they aren't sold until noon (so don't come a minute too early), these donuts are ready to be paired with an afternoon coffee pick-me-up. I had to order a box of four: Blackberry Crumble, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Chocolate Pistachio Cruller and a Donut Hole Donut. First, whoever came up with the idea to make a glazed donut made of pressed donut holes while creating other donuts is genius! Second, my absolute favorite was the cruller based off texture, beauty and flavor, the other two were more classic with the fresh taste of fruit. Donut know? Well now you go!

Yelp
Cute little find in Santa Barbara. We enjoyed our lunch and were able to bring our pup on the patio!

Yelp
This review is only for their donuts. I didn't really realize that you can find donuts at places other than donut shops and bakeries, so once I discovered Bossie's attractive looking donuts, I knew exactly where to go whenever my next craving for donuts hit. Some were great while some were only okay. But all of them looked lovely with their colors and toppings. The donuts are more fried than I'm used to, giving the exterior a crunchier texture. I didn't mind this, but they were overall too greasy. Oil heavily stained the box, and my fingers glistened after holding and eating the donuts. Realistically, this review is closer to a 3.5 than a 4 out of 5. I'm not a classic glazed donut person (too boring for me), so I love the variety of flavor combinations offered. Here's my run down: - Chocolate and almond toffee: can't go wrong with this one! - Rose geranium and rhubarb: flavors were faint and could use more rose geranium. - Cardamom, kumquat, and pistachio: cardamom overpowered the other flavors, and more candied kumquat slices would be great. - Pistachio cruller: I wish the pistachio flavor was stronger, but the eggy flavor and airy texture of the cruller reminded me of the comforting Chinese fried sugar egg puffs I'd eat at home. - Honey and black sesame cruller: I was ecstatic to see the introduction of a flavor more commonly found in Asian desserts, black sesame. This was my favorite because I loved the nuttiness and intensity of black sesame. - Chai cake donut: yum!

Yelp
Bossie's has a cool, comfortable atmosphere, and all the food is reeeeally good! You can't miss with the signature burger and hand-punched truffle fries! I just tried the orange poppy seed coffee cake. Beautiful balance of the orange and the fluffy poppyseed cake! Sunday's dinner special is brisket. My favorite!!! It's all prepared with love and served with a smile! Bossie's Rocks!

Evan R.

Yelp
Amazing! Thoughtfully assembled menu, and intentionally sourced ingredients. The team here is proud to work there, proud of the food they serve and very kind! Worth a stop if driving through on the 101. Small space and limited seating so reservations are smart or call ahead for a to-go order! So so good. Coming back in the morning to try their breakfast because their biscuit and donuts look incredible!

Yelp
Oh , my God ! the best lunch I have had anywhere ! I live in Santa Barbara, and just decided to go. My friend said a friend had recommended it ! It was home made, delicious. I ordered Macaroni and cheese, we waited a long time before it was delivered, but it was worth the wait ! Can't wait to go back !

Yelp
This place is great! I went here for the first time and was really impressed. The staff was great and helpful. We went during a busy time and they helped us out immediately. The food was delicious. The prices are right. Also the donuts were great. The cinnamon donut was great! This is a great spot for dinner when you are going to a concert at the bowl.

Monique L.

Yelp
Very pleased. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Service great. Got to try the Korean fried chicken sandwich. It was the bomb. The Mac and cheese was good too. Shirmp special enjoyed in our party. Great carrot cake.

Karyn S.

Yelp
Creative and tasty! Quality ingredients. Parking is tough. (Avoid going when there is a concert at the Bowl.)

Larry R.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! We were just driving through Santa Barbara on our way to Cambria and stopped for lunch. Expecting just to get a sandwich and be on our way, we stopped at Bossies Kitchen and found ourselves staring at a counter full of the most beautiful pastries. Settling in, we got iced lattes, a roasted turkey sandwich and topped it off with a Maple-Cinnamon & Brown Sugar French cruller. One bite of the cruller, and I had to close my eyes and say to my wife, "Don't talk to me!" Shutting out the world, I let the flavors just melt in my mouth. Heavenly!
google avatar

Yelp
We happened upon this place while searching for a place to eat dinner. We are not familiar with eateries in the Santa Barbara area so we were actively searching for a place through Yelp. We had the Korean fried chicken sandwich, the vegetarian plate and the Saturday night special which was the pork chops, mashed potatoes and broccolini. We also got the Caesar and the persimmon salads. Everyone enjoyed their meal and I really enjoyed the pork chops and mashed potatoes. The pork was very tasty and the salads were very fresh and dressed well. We didn't order any dessert, but the server/owner gave us free donuts, a scone and other breakfast items. This was very generous and added a special touch..
google avatar

Yelp
AMAZING omg my favorite lunch in Santa Barbara!! Service was so good- very quick and uber friendly people :) all the food was delicious and reasonably priced for lunch. We got the Korean fried chicken sandwich and the other fried chicken sandwich which I can't remember the name of but wow, an amazing pick!! Don't skip the donuts- they are homemade! Loved all the plants within the inside as decor as well :)

Cynthia W.

Yelp
Have been here quite a few times and every time the food and service are excellent but the wait time is usually around 45 minutes, which is too long especially if it's just two people and not a large party. One time we waited a full hour, again just two of us. My guess is the kitchen has a lot of to go food that backs things up but I think the people eating in person should have priority over deliveries. There could be some other reason why the food is so consistently slow but it's always worth waiting for.
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
Came here for a quick dinner while visiting Santa Barbara and had a great experience. The Korean fried chicken sandwich was a fav among our group. The chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful with a little bit of spice. The side salads (caesar and persimmon) were a little small but were tasty, in addition, the seasonal soup (curry coconut lentil), veggie plate, and weeknight special (pork chop) were all very good as well. We would definitely love to come back again to try the brunch menu. The server who took our order was extremely nice and even gave us extra pastries since there were leftovers at the end of the day.

Yelp
Excellent food friendly staff and met chef super nice. Saw on triple D Guy Fieri so we came and it did not disappoint at all. Great great food Ambiance perfect!!!! We will definitely come back soon and not later.

Mark L.

Yelp
Ordered the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich to go. Whoever was working, drenched it in the sweet spicy sauce, and it was horrible! Absolute garbage, thrown in the trash! Very disappointing, and as locals we won't be back.
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I could take them back to LA with me. It's that good. Just go to Bossie's. I had the half grilled cheese and added bacon. When it arrived my eyes lit up at the melted goodness. The bite is crunchy yet soft with the best cheese pull. There were carmelized onions that added to the perfection of this sandwich. They left it all on the plate with the tomato soup as an addition. I wanted for nothing more. The Turkey came with cheese, avocado and pesto on focaccia. Beautiful flavor and portion. The mac was seasoned well and had the right amount of cheese for how it was presented. Nothing gooey nor over hardened, just right. The service was super friendly and she came around regularly to check on us. It's nice and bright inside and they also offer a fair amount of outdoor seating. Pastries are also available. We opted for the donuts which were more decadent than I was used to; very greasy and dense BUT still delicious!
google avatar

Josephine L.

Yelp
Stopped in before a concert - overall, the food and beer was very tasty. Minus a star because we intended to order fries with the burgers but they ended up adding an additional plate of fries... so just be super clear with the person up front about what you're getting since we were basically drowning in (admittedly, delicious) fries. Also, you'll pay extra for the buttermilk aioli (or their menu didn't display accurate prices, who knows). And, it took longer than we expected (~30 mins) to get the food after ordering -- we missed a bit of the concert opener, but c'est la vie.
google avatar

Kris P.

Yelp
Came through to Bossies for a quick solo lunch. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and I opted for the latter (its SB, cmon!) Ordered their Korean fried chicken sammy, and it was really good. It wasn't that spicy (if your worried about that, I would say its more mild than medium) However it was still very flavorful (I wonder if you could ask to kick it up a notch) The handcut thicC fries with sea salt was really good too, with their house aioli dip. Service with plenty of friendly smiles here Thankfully, Bossies is just a quick ride down the hill for me, I will for sure come back!
google avatar

Abbey F.

Yelp
I really hope this restaurant does well in this location. This location has had trouble keeping a business but I think these ladies have the right recipe for success. First, they have an SBHS lunch special that looks delicious and affordable for the high school kids. I've ALWAYS said that whatever restaurant that's gonna make it there HAS TO HAVE A a great deal for the kids. That will be their bread and butter. Next, this menu is incredible!! Excellent dishes, fresh and unique ingredients; it's a perfect recipe! Santa Barbara is going to love this spot. We thought we'd go with classic favs this first visit. A classic hamburger with fries and a meatball sammie. This meatball sammie was incredible. We LOVED the marinara. HUGE sammie!! The burger came with cheese and bacon and spicy bread and butter pickles. I normally hate bread and butter pickles but these tasted house made and we fantastic!! This was an excellent hamburger. Finally, THE PATIO!! Every restaurant in SB needs an amazing patio!! Why else do we live in SB?!? However, I knocked one star off because the trendy industrial chairs they have exclusively on the patio are SO uncomfortable if you have ANY type of junk in your trunk (like me)! I had hoped to dine on the patio but opted to walk home and eat at home because I just can not with these terrible chairs. 10 minutes and I'm done. Bossie's, if you get better patio chairs, gimme a call and we'll find our way back to order our meals and a bottle of Rosé!! I also thought the deviled eggs in the display case, while beautifully plated, had clearly been sitting there past their prime. Maybe a refrigerated display see would help, or placing non-refrigerated items in the display case would be better.

Yelp
One of our regular picks. We often choose the grilled salmon, farro, black rice, broccolini, or salmon with a salad. Portions are plenty. For my fiance, it's one meal. Often for me it's two! They give quite a generous portion of fries, and they are probably some of the best fries I've ever had.
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
Was introduced to this unassuming restaurant on Milpas by my ex. Best fries in the area - substantial, brown, crisp, with the skins on, and tender and melt-in-your mouth on the inside. Not like the puny, pale, skinny shoestring fries (although some may like that style). Anyways, have been here a fair few times since just before the pandemic, takeout during the pandemic, and now on the patio post-vaccination. Customer service is always on point - one time when I came for pickup, they were about 10 min late having the food ready and gave me a yummy donut on the house for my patience. On my most recent visit with family and a friend, they forgot to put in my food order and gave me a peach side salad. Also, my niece has severe food allergies and Bossie's was very accommodating. This is now the go-to place for when family comes to visit since my sister is so happy to find somewhere where my niece can actually enjoy the food with everyone else. AND they have always taken COVID restrictions seriously with the proper precautions. Food is always excellent and they have specials to switch it up every now and then. Focus is on fresh ingredients and you can really tell. Have gotten the salmon multiple times, the short rib special (which I hope they bring back soon!) and the burger. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Thanks Bossie's! Happy to have you in town.

Yelp
Fabulous brunch today at Bossie's. Of course, I dug in before taking photos! The avocado toast is $15 but... all the ingredients are fresh and delicious and synergized into a perfect brunch item to be savored. I moved the greens to the side and went from there. I am a huge tarragon fan and the Green Goddess was amazing. Rich in tarragon and flavor. The fresh bread had great texture and presented the avocado nicely. The greens were more bitter than I usually prefer but they were the right compliment here. I did get a couple of my husband's breakfast potatoes and I could have scarfed them all. His breakfast sandwich looked perfect ( he was very quiet and didn't offer to share a bite!) They served Smith Tea and it is nicely priced at $3.50 for a whole large pot with loose tea. Some places charge that for a cup of common brand tea with a tea bag. The patio is great and nicely separated from Milpas. We're neighbors and are happy to have such a gem within walking distance.

Yelp
This place is LEGIT. I've been there 3 or 4 times now and am consistently impressed. This is a place for foodies and for families and for friends. There's a lunch special for students too. Dishes range from home-style comfort food (eg pot pie) to fresh summer fare like grilled salmon w/rice and veggies or shrimp w/risotto; the Korean fried chicken sandwich is amazingly good. Dishes seem to rotate/change--the sign of an engaged chef! Desserts are made in-house, and they have some interesting flavor options such as cardamom cookies and olive oil cake. Food takes a few minutes to come out; order at counter and then take a seat indoors or out. Plentiful local beer/wine options. Always filled with locals too. So good.

Addi W.

Yelp
First time at Bossie's Kitchen, OMG The Korean fried chicken sandwich is the BOMB!! Flavorful, Crunchy & the coleslaw is so Tasty. Soo delicious! Can't wait to go back & order it again. Not a donut person but thought I'd try one because they looked so good. Got a couple of Crullers & was blown away. They are RIDICULOUS!! This is an awesome restaurant!

Yelp
Came here for the first time today. Ordered the mac and cheese, pork belly sandwich, fries, and crispy chicken sandwich. Mac and cheese was good as were the sandwiches. I thought the fries tasted great, just the right amount of crispy. The sandwiches could use a tiny bit more sauce in my opinion, but they were still good as is! Service was great. I enjoyed the outdoor seating and just the overall corner location, too. Didn't get a doughnut, but they all looked so yummy.

Yelp
Amazing food, we stopped on our way out of town for donuts, and were always met by happy, helpful servers and hosts, the owners were wonderful as well! We will definitely be back here on our next stop to Santa Barbara, this amazing restaurant was everything we were looking for

Yelp
Fast casual with sit down options outside. Ordered online and got the Korean chicken sandwich that was amazing! Incredibly flavorful. Great fries on the side too. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a reasonably priced and delicious meal!

Yelp
Went for dinner with a friend and had a great time! The outdoor area has a cute hedge with fairy lights--it was perfect to make the area feel more secluded on a suburban street. I had a daily special, shrimp with curry over rice with mixed greens. The shrimp was cooked perfectly!

Yelp
Definitely the best burger in Santa Barbara. Unfortunately, the customer service does not match that standard. I am a local and regular customer at Bossie's so I was kind of surprised when the manager made zero attempt to compensate me for a salad that was drenched in dressing. I know this restaurant prides itself in its local ingredients, but I would recommend putting as much effort into its customer service . After I told the server that I could not eat the salad because it was so clearly overdressed, she told me that the chef said "that's just the way we prepare it and if you don't like it, you can order it less dressed." I'm not nine years old, so I know what overdressed means and this salad was basically inedible. More importantly, even if the chef believes that salads are supposed to be swimming in dressing, she still could've offered some compensation to one of her repeat customers. Frankly, that was a dumb business move because now one of her repeat customers is clearly not happy with the restaurant and writing this less than favorable review. So the two dollars the restaurant saved for not taking the salad off my bill will probably not make up for the loss of business that will result from this negative review. This is not Arby's, so one would think Bossies management would realize how important it is to keep customers satisfied. Instead, they succeeded in making one of their customers, unhappy because of their rude behavior. Very disappointing, and I will certainly think twice about returning.
