Boston Burger Company - Boylston St.

Week long trip to Boston for IBM THINK 2025 was the catalyst for some great food eaten between meetings! Duane’s got a list of top burgers in America so any time we go to a city, he checks his list and if we are in proximity to one of the spots, we go…just so happened that Boston Burger Company was a couple blocks away from THINK so of course we went the first day! Service was super friendly….we cozied up to the bar and ordered some poutine (the sauce tasted like Montreal and the cheese was squeaky!) A great start! Then our burgers came and I could see why they were on his list! Lots of ingredients but you could tell each one was intentionally put on…Would definitely go back to try some other burgers and get one of their milkshakes! If you’re in the area, give them a shot!

We go here every time we are in Boston and would recommend it to anyone that likes American food. Besides the loud music, it was absolutely fantastic. The burger were delicious and loaded, fries were crispy and tasted great. The service was fast and attentive. If you want a really good burger, that's the place to go!

I stopped by here when I went to a concert at Fenway. I was tired and hungry after a long drive and parking, so I went in without much expectation and just wanted to get something to eat, but contrary to my expectations, I was able to eat a high-quality, delicious hamburger. The meat was juicy and the fries were freshly fried. It was a great way to fill my stomach.

Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I've ever had! There are several options to choose from, and the hype is definitely real. The burger is packed with flavor and comes with a huge serving! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their burgers. I also ordered the Cobb salad, and it was very delicious as well. 🍔🥗

First night in Boston and ate here at around 9PM. Place was still busy but not packed. Had the garlic parm fries, strawberry shortcake shake, and burger bomb. The shake was delicious and best part of the meal. The hamburger was filling, but not as juicy as I would have liked, but I did order it medium well. Fries were just ok. I would give this place 4 1/2 stars and will come back.

Really great time at the Boston Burger Company, as it’s not my first time here. I’ve been here before, and it’s always a great experience. Food is delicious and very filling, didn’t go crazy for lunch. But definitely will be back and highly recommend anyone who’s in the area, if you want a really good gourmet burger definitely come on by this place and check it out.

Arrived in Boston in the early a.m. 06/10/25 for an urgent meeting with my son's neurologist. Hopeful for the best medical outcomes and also the best experience in short trip to Boston. A little research. A short Uber ride. We arrived at Boston Burger Company. Grace, our server, was incredible. Kind, Joyful, Informed, Professional, and simply a good human being. Grace made for an A+ experience. The burgers were delicious. So, too, the chips and the chocolate shake. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as if you're walking into a local neighborhood spot. Overall, Yum factor 100%. Grace factor 100%. Thank you, Boston Burger Company, for making our trip to Boston Joyful and Yummy!

Boston Burger Company was just OK. They have a great variety on the menu, which is definitely a plus, but unfortunately, nothing really stood out. The mozzarella sticks came out cold, which was disappointing, and the burger buns were really dry and lacked flavor. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to the hype.

Before you come here, make sure you haven't eaten all day, else you'll be rolling out of here like a ball! I spent all day travelling and walking through the city preparing myself to eat a big dinner. Apparently, that wasn't enough! Lol. I ordered their 420 burger which has your usual beef patty and melty cheese, in addition to an onion ring, bacon, and 2 mozzarella sticks. It came with a side of chips and a sauce. This thing was massive! With the unique topping of mozzarella sticks and onion ring, it added more crunch and cheesiness to my burger. Knowing this place was popular for their milkshakes, I ordered the Dough My Goodness. Unironically, I did say "Oh My Goodness" when the waitress brought it out. This was a meal by itself. It had a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, scoops of cookie dough, chocolate chip cereal around the cup, and a bunch of whip cream. Completely forgot about the part of it being a milkshake, so in addition to all of these toppings, there was a delicious milkshake underneath it. The milkshake ended up being my meal for the night and the burger was my leftover. Everything tasted delicious, the waitress was very nice and gave me plenty of recommendations, and the overall experience was enjoyable. Highly recommend this place! BUT BE WARNED!!!!!!!! Either come in with a stomach that's been starving for the past 3 days or be ready to roll your way out the door.

We went here for dinner. We had the following: 1. Mac and cheese aracinis - 7/10, I feel like you really just cannot go wrong with anything mac and cheese related 2. Chips and guac - 5/10, nothing special but what was a bummer is they give you the exact same chips for the guac appetizer as you get with the sandwiches 3. Traditional cheeseburger - 5/10, nothing special. Just a decent burger 4. Chicken pesto sandwich - 5/10, again nothing special. The pesto aioli was very yummy though. 5. Fries - 8/10, now these were tasty but really a bummer that you have to pay for them separately. At a burger place, fries should be the guaranteed side. Overall, it wasn't a terrible meal but with all the amazing food in Boston, I would not recommend going here for one of your dinners out.

I dig this place a lot! All the food I've had has been great! Haven't had one thing that I didn't enjoy thoroughly. But, be warned- this is NOT a low-calorie or diet conscious spot. Even though they may have some "vegan" options, if you eat at this place, you are consuming ALL of your daily calories in one meal! Lol They have a bunch of specialty milkshakes that are FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC and over-the-top! Go there hungry and bring a friend. Regular pub-style decor, I guess. Always friendly service, if not always fast. If not for the consequence of weight-gain and hereditary medical history, I might try to eat there several times per week!

I was excited with all the burger names. I ended up with pilgrim turkey burger it was good, wasn't a fan of cranberry mayo, will skip next time and I wish there was more stuffing, big stuffing girl. lol Onion rings were on point. My friend got a regular burger and also thought was good but average. Service was great and friendly. Place is a good go to before heading to game or concert. I will go back when i am in town.

We got the wicked hot burger. It was the BEST burger I've ever had!!! My only complaint is that I wish it was bigger. The homemade chips were also super delicious. We also got fries which were also top notch! We're going to go back for dessert because those also looked amazing! Also, the service was impeccable! I didn't know a burger restaurant could be as good as this was!

I got the burger bomb. Juicy big burger. Love the American cheese. Could use more mushrooms. Chip were greatly - crunchy, crisp, perfectly salted. Baked beans were a bit too sweet for me. Honestly, I would remove this from the menu and replace it with a sliver of pickle. Service was great. Staff was polite and considerate. Casual dining.

Boston Burger has incredibly unique burgers and shakes, and offers all its burgers as veggie burgers so you can still try them if you're vegetarian which is great. All the food is very good, but also very dense and heavy. It is certainly an interesting place to try if you are a burger lover, but not something you can eat all the time!

We walked here after touring Fenway Park, so I had to order the Big Papi Burger! Bacon, griddled hot dog, fried egg, guacamole, pickled red onion, lettuce, tomato, papi sauce. It was huge! served with potato chips, and I chose baked beans as a side $23.40. My wife got a sampler, $24. I don't remember what the name of my son's burger was....The burgers were delicious but messy, the chips were a nice touch. The baked beans were pretty good. I was worried that I wasn't going to finish the Big Papi, but I persevered. I was surprised that my wife actually ordered a beer with her lunch!

If you like burgers, this a "must" stop in Boston. I loved reading all the unique toppings and their long list of burger creations. We ordered the 420 (topped with bacon, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings with a deep fried mac and cheese underneath the patty). Holy cow, definitely sharable and for not being a big mac and cheese fan, I was surprised how much I loved it on the burger - great flavor and texture. Deep fried pickles seems to be the thing in Boston. So glad we had them from here because the breading was addictively crispy, hard to stop eating them. The kids enjoyed their cheeseburger and chicken fingers. Beware, the chips that comes as a side are perfectly crunchy and salty, you just might eat them till you explode. Overall, would stop again. I just hope that the burgers are cooked more to a medium than a well. Also, their freak shakes look very intriguing; however, it's hard to save room for much more after ordering food here. We considered coming back later that day just to order dessert.

Needed something to eat and the Uber driver told me about this place and being a burger fanatic I couldn't pass it up. I'm glad I went.

Amazing place every time I been to Boston I go here and the food is always delicious and fresh and exactly crafted to wat u would expect. Great staff clean and good atmosphere. Definitely BOSTONS BEST. Must hit spot

Vinny the GM IS SO WONDERFUL! I saw this place on triple D and triple G. My first time in Boston and knew I had to check this place out! There was a little wait BUT SO WORTH EVERY MINUTE! Nick was our server. He was attending and so nice. Wonderful service! The burgers are the best I've ever had in my life!! If you're in Boston I definitely 100/10 recommend! The Mac and cheese is a MUST TRY! You have to get a shake too!

Absolutely fabulous service, fantastic food and drinks! I have waited for a year to visit this restaurant. I follow them on TikTok and counted the days down to come. We got seated right away with a party of eight on a Friday afternoon. Our appetizers and all the burgers and chicken Were perfect. Well worth the wait!

The truffle shuffle burger was good and the Nutella milkshake. The chips was super crispy if you love crispy chips. Harder than kettle chips the brand. Definitely recommend milkshake as if was cute to share it with my girlfriend.

My wife and I were visiting the city and did some shopping on Newbury St and needed a lunch place in the area. This was perfect. It was the middle of a warm spring afternoon lunch rush but we were sat immediately and the food came out quickly. Menu is huge and you had to pretty much read every full description of every item in order to not miss anything. I think you could come here a dozen times with a dozen different people and still not hit every item they offer, and that's not even to mention the specials. Portions were quite large but we powered through. Burgers came with a side of homemade kettle chips (standard but good) and baked beans (very plain and unnecessary) or coleslaw (didn't try). My wife *needed* fries so we got the garlic parm which were excellent. Burgers were very good though extremely messy. Like eat it without putting it down and deal with the napkins at the end messy. Strawberry Shortcake freakshake was only possible to tackle by deconstructing it, but again power through. Not what I would have picked but my wife was happy. Absolutely a place I'd recommend and would come back to.

Went today with my family for my daughter's 5th birthday. All I have to say is WOW! I'm not even a burger person and I ate the entire burger immediately and was left wanting more. Probably the best burger I've ever had. My kids had giant frappes and they were incredible, certainly fitting for a birthday! I think my kids will talk about them for years to come. But while the food was amazing, what truly made this a memorable and remarkable experience was the service. We felt welcomed and appreciated. The manager especially was so kind and hospitable. I wish I would have gotten his name but I hope he reads this review. You made our evening! We don't live nearby and we made the trip just to try it, and our expectations were beyond met and surpassed. Thank you so much! We will be back soon!

My friend is visiting the U.S. for the first time and wanted to try a true American burger, and I'm so glad I brought her to Boston Burger Company. We ordered the Alpine Burger and the Burger Bomb Burger and split them, and they were both so delicious and bursting with flavor. The burger patty itself was so juicy and perfectly cooked. The fries were also amazing, they were so crispy and flavorful. The restaurant itself has such a cool vibe - it has a very American feel which is exactly what I wanted. The servers are also great, they came and started friendly conversation with us made us feel so welcome. I also have to say that the food came quite quick, and the place is very well priced considering the large portions we were given. I would definitely recommend Boston Burger Company and I'm sure I'll be returning soon!

We came here for my daughter's third birthday dinner tonight. Not a place you'd expect parents to choose, necessarily, but we love taking her into the city and all four of us (one year old included) love to bounce our shoulders to some good tunes and this place had good tunes. Three year old noticed, danced. We got the Mac and cheese balls accidentally and it was an excellent accident - they were very good, excellent seasoning. I had the pilgrim burger which is essentially my favorite sandwich but as a burger and it delivered. Our newly minted three year old said she wanted the kid's cheeseburger which was a surprise, not sure we've seen her order one before, and she loved it! All that said, I felt compelled to right a review because of the service. The team was excellent, they treated us so well and dealt with the hot mess that was a three year old and a one year old. We will be going back again and hangin' with the cool Berklee kids.

Whenever I'm in town visiting Boston, this is one my teenager's favorite places. Boston Burger puts a creative twist on their craft burgers. These burgers (and plant-based ones as well) are generously topped with ingredients that, when layered together, make for delicious burger. Two of our favorites are the Artery Clogger and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Their burgers are huge, so I have yet to try one of their incredible looking milkshakes. Hopefully during another visit, I'll leave room for one of these amazing looking treats! Service is always fantastic, and their atmosphere is fun and casual. They are popular for a valid reason. Highly recommend!

The menu here is HUGE! I feel like I could spend hours looking at it... but what draw me to it is all the food on Food Paradise (one of my favorite shows!). Not only is the menu huge but the burgers and milkshakes are huge. To start, my husband and I shared the 'Bruschetta Fries' which had parmesan, tomatoes, basil, garlic, pesto mayo drizzle and definitely my favorite out of everything we tried. They were delicious! For his entrée, my husband got the '420' which was mozzarella sticks, fried mac & cheese, onion rings, fries, bacon, golden BBQ sauce, American cheese. This was, again, HUGE and came with potato chips and baked beans. I got the 'G.O.A.T' which was a special burger for this month and had a beef burger, fried goat cheese, bacon apples, prosciutto, fig jam, mixed greens, citrus honey vinaigrette. This also came with potato chips and coleslaw. I do like coleslaw but did not care for their version and I am not a fan of kettle cooked chips so I didn't try those. Unfortunately, we did not have any space for one of the milkshakes. I did try one of the alcoholic drinks with my order - I do not remember the name but it was DELICIOUS. I will include a picture of it. I would 100% come back to try something else and would recommend this place for a good burger!

If you're looking for a place before or after a Red Sox game, this is a great choice. 10-minute walk to Fenway. Burgers are really good. And the three apps we got were really good (Mac and Cheese deep-fried balls; garlic Parmesan fries; and onion rings). Service was really good. Shout out to Cassandra! She works hard and is always smiling. I highly recommend Boston Burger for any casual occasion.

I ordered here again, after being disappointed last time, I just assumed maybe they were having a bad day or because I ordered on a weekend night the burger I got wasn't as good because they were rushed. But today was a Thursday and yet my burger was... lackluster. I ordered through ubereats and they completely forgot the pesto mayo, and if they ran out I wish they would have let me know at least so I could pick a different mayo? But instead I just get a condimentless burger and because of that, it's dry. I don't know why every time I get a burger here, something is wrong whether it be a missing condiment, miscoooked burger, or poorly done sides (this time the chips were soggy and pale, unlike the usually crispy golden brown). I really used to love this place but their efforts really feel like they don't give a crap haha. It's not like these burgers are cheap either. They're all $15 minimum. But when you get a mc Donald's level of IDGAF, I recommend that everyone just order from mc Donald's to save themselves from the disappointment.

Stopped by Boston burger with some friends on our last day in town and it was really good. The space isn't super large, but they were able to get a group of 4 seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon. The service was solid with our server making sure we got everything we ordered. For food, I had the 420 burger which was MASSIVE, I normally hate burgers with too much because everything falls out, but the bun they use is perfect and holds all the fixings together nicely. We also split the nacho fries and mango habanero boneless wings. I'd probably skip the fries next time around since they weren't amazing, but the wings (which were more so strips) were super tasty and tender. We also split a strawberry shortcake shake for the table and it was insane. Huge cake to top off a tasty shake. Definitely would not recommend trying to attack one alone.

My husband and I were in the mood for burgers and our daughters just wanted milk shakes, enter Boston Burger! Such a great place for burgers and shakes! Perfect size burgers and perfect meat to bun ratio, Also loved that the buns did not break apart from the toppings on the burger. We ordered regular chocolate shakes for our daughters as the other shakes on the menu would have been too much and massive! We will definitely be going back when we return to Boston.

The food was absolutely delicious! The shakes were out of this world and while our server was new he was still great and explained he was still learning.

Sooo fun! Yummy burgers and fries. Outrageous shakes pied high with yumminess! Great service. Prepare for an hour wait. But worth it!

Not only are the amount of different burger choices on the menu staggering, the size of the actual burgers are huge too! A real American burger diner feel to everything, with lots of milkshakes too (although a bit too sweet for me). The staff were very nice, attentive, and the wait was only 20 minutes or so during the busy hours. I enjoyed this place quite a bit.

Killer b is a burger to be reckoned with. A Boston classic big burgers big shakes. Worth the trip.

A fantastic place to eat, fun and lively. Something fun to watch and very friendly service! Jake was our server and he couldn't have been more helpful! He was a rockstar even though they were packed and rushing trying to get everyone fed. Get atmosphere, awesome meal after a great baseball game at Fenway Park! 10/10 will absolutely be coming back! Awesome awesome awesome, definitely make this a stop while you're in Boston!

Either they just got a new Chef, screwed up, or changed the way that they make the Mak Attack. I looked at all these photos and of it here & seen the video on You Tube with the mac & cheese covered all over the burger, I get this compact version with a thin layer of mac & cheese hidden under the burger. Not what I expected. The burger was still good, but, I think the chef either had a bad night or tried to be creative by changing it to a more neat compact version. I got ripped off. Best spot to get gourmet burgers and make sure you leave room for dessert! Their frappes are to die for and service is always great. It's also a nice/ chill vibe in the restaurant so very comfortable when you walk in.

Food - 4 Service - 3 Ambiance - 4 Cleanliness - 4 Great burger options with unique flavors and huge portion size! It did take a long time for the food to come out. I believe I waited 20 minutes or so but the food did come out as a group, which I appreciated. It was a little expensive but if you appreciate a good burger and can eat a well portion sized meal, it's a good option.

I'm speechless after finding the best burger place of all time. Service was excellent and the wait was shorter than expected. I wish I could have saved room for a wild frappe stacked with more dessert options. However, I couldn't handle anymore calories after consuming the 420 burger. If you can't find something here then you don't belong on Boston!

Food was delectable. You know it's good when you feel your arteries clogging by the bite. Freak shakes weren't as messy as expected, safe to say we devoured.

Wow! We looked for the busiest place on the street because that is where people in Boston must go. Worth the 45 min wait. #Freakfrappes are definitely freaky and amazing. Burgers are real pressed patties and the salad was fresh and delicious. Even though my order got messed up and the service was a little lack luster because it is such a busy place, I still give it 5 stars.

This food was so D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S I got the buffalo wings and they were a MUNCH i ate all of them and they had a very good flavor tasted super fresh (fresh from the chicken.) We also ordered some freak shakes which were monstrous and we ordered nutella and strawberry. These were so yummy we had to eat all of it. We also had amazing service for our table which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall the service and food quality makes this place a 10/10 and I would recommend this to any tourist visiting boston!!!

Stopped by for lunch. The burgers here are insane. The guys ordered a variety of burgers from Killer Bee to Mac Attack and they said that they were good and the meat tasted fresh. I ordered the veggie burger and enjoyed the flavor combo. The veggie patty was very tender, but it didn't stay in the buns. If I have to do it over again, I'd stick w the veggie burger but make it a bowl... everything else just looks heavy.

Really enjoyed the burgers here. When in doubt, keep it simple and go for the Boston Burger. I chose the Burger Bomb with Sauted Peppers, Mushrooms, Onions, and American Cheese. Very delish. Also have a burger featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, The Rachel Ray Show, Man v Food, and Food Paradise. There are also options for Boston Baked Beans or Cole Slaw with all burgers. Home made potato chips were very crunchy and not greasy as they should be.

The food was exquisite and super tasty. Burgers are so good and bigger than my face. Freak shakes are freaking amazing. (I recommend the Nutella) Overall 5 star experience! It made my tummy smile!!!

Nice place for a burger. Great menu with many choices, solid city vibe. Staff was friendly and made you feel welcome. Burgers were perfectly cooked and sides were everything you'd expect. We'll worth a visit.

We knew from the Instagram page that this place would be good. We split the strawberry shortcake frappe and the milkshake was the perfect thickness and had some strawberry chunks. The shortcake on top of the frappe was alright, nothing special and a bit dry. Doesn't mean I wouldn't order it again, though. For lunch, we ordered the 420 burger and the mumbo #5 sandwich. The burger was phenomenal, and everything was cooked to perfection. The mumbo #5 sandwich was a mistake on my end - I should've ordered a burger... I mean, the place is called Boston BURGER Company... that being said, it was alright but probably not as good as any of their burgers would've been. Anyways, whatever you order will likely be a lot of food and we couldn't finish it all. Everything comes with homemade potato chips and a side of baked beans or coleslaw. The service was friendly and we look forward to returning for more burgers and shakes!

We were seated very quickly and all of the staff were very nice and attentive. Frappe was not overly sweet despite its appearance; enough for 2 people to enjoy.

First time here, met up with a old College Friend to go out to Lunch, we ended up here, I know there knowed for there Burgers....I had a Turkey Burger, cooked excellent and delicious, had Homemade Chips and Homemade Coleslaw, also my side was Sweet Potato Fries with Honey Mustard, everything was fantastic and delicious, definitely going back there again to try "The Mac Attack Burger"

The burger patties on our burgers were thick and juicy. I mean damn near perfect burger patty. I would give 4.5 stars but cannot. The onion rings were a bit greasy and no Dr. Pepper. That's the only reason I don't give 5 stars. Service was quick and the place was pretty chill. They sat us right away and we came just after a ball game at Fenway

When in Boston, eat at Boston Burger on Boylston Street. We did it right! My family and I were visiting and were hungry after biking in Cambridge, visiting MIT, so we walked across the river into Boston and previous Yelp reviews led us like a beacon in the night to Boston Burger. I started with an adult beverage, Boston Tea Party, similar to an Arnold Palmer. My son had the Boneless BBQ wings that he said were super good & I had the Sophie which was fantastically yummy. We saw amazing shakes delivered to tables , so my son ordered the Red, White, & Boom as July festivities were happening all across the patriotic city. We bragged about our meal to my husband and son, so they ended up there a few hours later! My husband was sold that Boston Burger was featured on Diners, Drive Ins & Dives. Look for Guy Fieri's suggestions on the menu.

This place was delicious! Go easy on the appetizers as the meals have large portions. I really enjoyed the boneless wings, and the chip nachos were amazing. Not touristy either. A lot of college students and locals. Good alcohol menu and we enjoyed the service. All around a solid place to get some good food, and they have options for whatever you're feeling. Would go back

The 420 deal is real! Come from 4:20-5pm and the 420 burger is yours for $4.20. Do not come at 5pm or you will be denied this deal (I speak from experience). Contrary to past publicity, it does not end at 5:20pm. The person at the front also checked his watch to confirm that we made it in the time window... Only eat in and only one per person. I came on a random Tuesday afternoon at 4:26pm and we got the last table there! There seems to always be construction at this location but I guess that doesn't deter people from dining there. The 420 Burger is essentially fried appetizers (1 onion ring, 2 mozz sticks, some mac n cheese, etc) in a burger, and comes with chips and either coleslaw or beans as the side. The coleslaw had a weird aftertaste with the burger and its sauce (my friend thought so too), so maybe try the beans instead. The bed of friend mac n cheese at the bottom was a great addition. You know that the burger is a heart attack in food form, but I made the mistake of looking it up and people estimate it between 1200-2500 calories, so eat at your own risk. I thought the burger would be mind boggling impressive, but it was as expected, like not as crazy as their shakes look. Maybe because the burger is overwhelmingly brown. The burger also was a bit colder than I would have liked when it came out, like as if it had sat on the counter for a bit before they brought it to our table. Service was pretty good. Dive bar-y atmosphere. I would come back another day to try another one of the monstrous burgers or milkshakes, but I'd have to fast all day first.

Food was SOOO GOOD! Service was just as good. We came on off season so there was no wait but during high season this place is prob insane! The milkshake things looked delicious though we did not get!

Tina's take: 10/10 We went to this place for lunch on our way out and it was so overwhelmingly good! There were so many burgers to choose from and it was so hard to decide. They were able to do substitutions if requested and if you didn't like any given, you were able to build your own burger. They had appetizers as well but we just ordered burgers. The shakes were monstrous but we were so full that we couldn't even look at desert. The service was great and helpful and the place was so clean. I have some pictures below but they do not do any justice. If you're in the area and like burgers this is the place for you !
