First, I'm going to start by saying that I hope the guy that picked my entrees out washed his hands because he sure didn't have any gloves on while doing it. I'm going pretend, and hope that he did because I couldn't take my eyes off of that. I worked fast food in my junior high/high school days for five years, and we always wore gloves while serving on the food line, but maybe Boston Market has different rules?
It has been over a decade since I have been to Boston Market, so I anticipated my visit of this location. Yes, the food was good, but I was overall disappointed in the cleanliness of this place. They may have just finished rush hour, but the tables in the dinning area were very nasty like they have not been cleaned off period, and some still had takeout containers on them for at least 10 minutes; maybe longer! The tray that my food was placed on was disgusting like it was just taken off the table and given to me. I ignored that because it was not touching my food, but I did avoid touching the inner portion completely because I wasn't sure if it was clean.
No, I will not give a low rating because I enjoyed the food and the customer hospitality was great, and these minor things that I mentioned are easy fixes. I do have high expectations on restaurants in areas like Skokie, where the socioeconomic status is not low, and this location did not meet those expectations. I will end this by saying yes, I am sure that I will return, but that will be a few months from now or maybe a year.
Enjoy!
