Great dining experience! Highly recommend the lobster bisque (huge pieces of lobster claw meat). We also got the stuffed clams! Soo good and filling! We had the snow crab leg special w/ garlic pasta linguine(highly recommend) also the corn bread! And while you’re at it grab a dirty martini! Soo good!

Google
Really good food here, lots and lots to choose from. Jodi was an absolute great server, actually everyone was super kind, except for the best wearing host guy, he could be replaced and the place could be spectacular. There is a lot going on here, tons of choices, tons of catering, to go options, etc. we really enjoyed the food and the experience! Except for the vest guy everyone was super friendly to the children as well.

Google
The good and not so good.. The good... Best Au Ju sauce i have tasted with the yummy prime rib. Service was friendly and attentive. A few not so good but not to make me not go back. For a Seafood restaurant the lazy lobster can be so much better. Less butter and more crispy stuffing in top of the lobster. Ours was lobster swimming in butter and the stuffing has broken apart to almost nothing. The combination took the lobster taste away. Mashed potatoes appeared to be instant. Finally we made reservations through Google which were accepted and confirmed but they did not have our name. Asked what we used and he said they don't use that.. So call for reservations yourself.. With no reservation in place there was still no wait although we were seated in the back banquet room instead of a cozy booth we were hoping for.

Casual atmosphere, clean and cozy. Food tasty and large potions. Reasonable prices. Very busy on a Friday night in August but the servers were attentive and pleasant. The deserts were also very good.

Google
Overpriced and extra bland crab cakes, with a very large portion of burnt fried pickles. Servers were aloof and never returned to refill the beverages. Water spots on the flatware and dated interior had me expecting Gordon Ramsay to show up and shut the place down for the night. Definitely the haunt of senior citizens with no taste buds who are afraid of trying a new restaurant, hence the excellent reviews.

Google
Not very clean inside and the prices were a bit high but the food and drinks were very good. The server also was very nice and attentive.

Stopped in with my parents while I was in town. It is one of my favorites to go to when I am in the area. Food and service is always great!

This year is not tolerated we have equally committed to this city towns neighborhood As paying citizens trump has shown and expressed The empathy in society The Boston seafood restaurant has no market Misleading there neighbors Our encounter was very poor after having a joyful evening The left over chicken I took with my best friends (dogs)wouldn’t eat it. Waitress was very rude requesting for manager on he took 15min to respond The manager was very rude as well The manager never tried to make us comfortable We waited 35min for food to out refuse to serve us drinks.we also was isolated than move after I complained the bazaar the place just open around 630 food was over fried too greasy dry Covid has taken our humility we can’t have a simple service simple time being nice to one another is a chore. A book has no cover /we all are judged

Yelp
I had fisherman platter for takeout. I ate up on the ridge. It was good and well prepared.

Yelp
The food here is phenomenal. Nice and hot. Fresh ingredients. Quiet ambiance. Well worth the price. I am definitely coming back.

Yelp
Sunday brunch here was a very enjoyable experience. The menu is quite comprehensive including Beef, Seafood, Burgers, Soups and Salads. The lobster stuffed salmon entree was incredible and the broiled seafood platter as well as the fish and chips provided enough food for two meals each. The appetizers were diverse and I especially liked the stuffed mushrooms. Definitely a restaurant I want to return to. Service was attentive and friendly. No glass was unfilled and our waitress was quick with any request, always smiling. Entrees included a salad and bread service with rolls and corn bread. The restaurant has plenty of off street parking, being in a small strip mall. The seating was uncrowded and offered booths and tables. Everything was tidy and clean. For a nice seafood dinner or a steak or prime rib you will be rewarded with good food and will certainly not leave hungry.

Yelp
People were nice but that was the worst fish dinner we ever had. Poor quality fish, no vegetables except Cole slaw, horrible chowder. Overpriced. Never again.

Yelp
Excellent choice for seafood if you're not in Maine. Great service, large portions with reasonably priced meals. Clean restaurant with pleasant, quick service.

Yelp
Atmosphere was a bit underwhelming. Kinda like an aged pub. I had the scallops and they were good; not amazing, but good. My husband ordered the ribeyw and it was cooked perfectly to order. The service was perfectly adequate. There are no complaints.

Yelp
All in all a well established restaurant with an outdated menu. Majority of patrons are elderly, which probably explains the old fashioned menu. Everything we had was decent but without flair, did not stick out to me. Definitely a place to bring grandma for a joyful outing. Fisherman's platter was decent but I did not like the coleslaw. The seafood pasta was quite scrumptious but overkill with the butter. Still good as we elected to add olives and tomatoes.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere, and a large menu that will please anyone regardless if they like seafood or not. Also a very friendly waitstaff, many of whom have been there for a while and know us by name. I personally go for the seafood options - virtually anything from the stuffed or fried menu, baked salmon with lobster stuffing, shrimp or seafood scampi or the shrimp trio which is fried shrimp, scampi style shrimp and stuffed shrimp and they are all really good. The rasberry cocounut shrimp are also really good. The chicken parm or eggplant parm is very good as is the prime rib. My wife and I also chose them to cater our wedding - what better than our usual date destination. They went absolutely above and beyond and made sure everything was absolutely perfect. I received many comments about how good the food was during the reception and also this morning from people who attended.

Yelp
Great seafood and still the best new England clam chowder in the freaking world. What happened to the fish snacks? Do they still make Fran's strawberry pie?

Yelp
Friendly atmosphere, pleasant and prompt service. Fresh, hot, tasty food. What more can you ask for? Wife and I both had the All You Can Eat Clam Strips (Tues & Wed Special). They were very good, tasty, fresh and hot. Surprised how fast filled up on them. Fries were good (thick steak type). Wife had salad upgrade she said was good and it sure looked fresh. Cole Slaw was good. No drinks or desert so no comment. We would definitely go back.

Yelp
I had a lot of fun joining the ladies from the swim class at the Y for a monthly luncheon. It's an older restaurant with an extensive menu. I had lobster bisque, fish and chips. The lobster bisque was fantastic and left me wanting to come back for more. The fish and chips were good. I had the haddock versus cod. It's just a matter of taste. Everything was fried up perfectly and even with our large party, served warm. Nothing really to write home about except...where do you find a lobster roll in this area? I was told I need to drive to the coast. Just not enough time to do everything. The rest of the ladies seemed to enjoy their meals. There was a lot of food and to go boxes were requested. Service was pretty slow. I ended up helping myself to beverage refills, fresh silverware, napkins. And at the end left cash as paying out took forever. But we had a large party and there were mixups on how things were billed out.

Yelp
This place is old school! They have a HUGE menu with everything from chicken almondine to seafood crepes. I had the lobster roll and it was great - and it was a really nice portion, especially compared to most other places *cough cough*. Very nice service and enjoyed the classic nautical theme as well!

Yelp
I visited this restaurant on the Tuesday after FreshGrass, because Empire Cafe was closed for a funeral. The music was a nice mix and quiet enough for chitchat. I had the strawberry cheesecake, and it was really good. The service was very good, and it was overall a great experience.

Yelp
Very soothing atmosphere, kind of tight nit but really cozy. The burgers here, especially take out, are usually delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff is usually gracious and honors any errors they may have made. The fried pickles here are also great! Those can sometimes be soggy but overall, this is a stop in North Adams that is sadly overlooked. Next time you are in town, stop here!

Yelp
Ok place. Kind of outdated and not that great of an atmosphere. Definitely needs a makeover. And I feel as though the food is slightly over priced.

Yelp
My husband and I went here before a concert at Mass MOCA. It wasn't very good, unfortunately. The decor was horrible and desperately needed an update. I too had cranky old people near our table. The food was just below par. Not bad enough to complain about but not good enough to say anything good about. I wouldn't bother going back.

Misty B.

Yelp
Vegetarian unfriendly :( We already had drinks on the table when I realized there was nothing I could order from the regular menu (there used to be some options, but they're gone now). The staff would not allow me to order from the children's menu even after I explained the situation.

Yelp
Well we had the calamari.....and it was fine but the tomato salsa dip should have been a smaller portion as most was wasted. Was it the best calamari I've had in years....no. This start of the meal reflected the whole eating experience, too much food served with a 1970's flair. The food lacked inspiration, it wasn't bad, but it lacked passion in it's creation. The glass of wine was off a small list and it was OK...again once consumed it was instantly forgotten. My main course of sea food casserole was smothered and I mean smothered, with a breaded topping, which I deftly removed and left. The fish underneath was tasty but the dominating taste was butter....oodles of it. The broccoli had undergone a 'cheese nightmare' and was left. However the mashed potato seemed to have escaped any additions and was fine. Shame as this meal could contained wonderful dishes served with a simple taste....instead it was OK. The staff were friendly, the place looked clean and service was fine. So all in all it was a bland evening.....the place was neither good or bad, but in 2010 I had hoped North Adams could provide a 21st century eating venue with a degree of flair...and I was disappointed.

Yelp
First time in North Adams, we accidentally went into this restaurant and had lobster salad and seafood crepe for three persons. The service was very good and the food was fresh.

Yelp
Ordered the eggplant parmessan. Waitress brought extremely skimpy salad but no bread. Caught another waitress going by and asked if we could have some bread. Bread finally came after we were finished with salad. then the worst, our meal came. A small oblong plate with 3 small, thin 3 or 4" pieces of eggplant with a little mozzerella and sauce. again we caught a passing waitress and asked where the spaghetti was? She informed us that the meal didn't come with spaghetti, but we could order it as a side, I've never ordered eggplant parmessan anywhere and not received spaghetti with it! the meal was a joke and the service was terrible.....never again!

Yelp
Our overall family experience was pretty good! Portion sizes are rather large. Our waitress was extremely nice...although she seemed to disappear at times. Atmosphere was relaxed. Not noisy at all...decor is a little dated but not run down by any means. My 3 yr old son ate all of his food (cod) which is rare. We would go back if we ever return to Massachusetts for another vacation.

Yelp
We had the Easter brunch, hands down the best buffet in town!! Huge variety, all cooked perfectly, and there was never an empty dish. It was an excellent feed!!!

Yelp
Great food and service. We eat here from time to time. The best day is Sunday. They always give plenty of food for the price. One of the Berkshires best kept secrets. Real local and family feel. Great spot

Yelp
Extremely friendly service. Efficient. Food was piping hot. Unfortunately, the sauces were too heavy and the portions overly large for mediocre food. The fried seafood might be worth a second go.

Meg M.

Yelp
The clam chowder was delicious but that's about it. The broiled scallops were way over cooked. The mashed were gummy and tasteless and were definitely instant. The baked stuffed shrimp was soaked in fishy watery but buttery cracker slop not stuffing as stated. The fried shrimp basket was ok but you can't really screw that up. For 100 plus dollars you'd expect better.

John M.

Yelp
Stick with the fried food We've never had a problem with that ever. Only once did we deal with something other than fried food, on a Sunday night that they were out of everything that included Mornay sauce . . . which was just about everything on the menu . . . . and then several other things we ordered were also no longer available. The waitress disappeared for 20 minutes before she took our order. They were out of straws. Then straws magically appeared for people at another table. It was horrible service. Plus the pie tasted like cardboard.

Yelp
My husband and I have been eating at Boston Seafood for years and for the most part, have been satisfied with the food. But, recently, we have noticed that some of the prices have gone up. We were there on 04/20/19 and I got a chicken fingers basket. I don't like steak fries (too much potato and not enough crunch), so sometimes substitute sweet potato fries, at an additional cost. Well, they tasted fine, but the serving of fries was quite meager (costing me more) and the chicken fingers seemed smaller than they used to. But, it cost me $15.50 for this basket. There is no way in the world that a chicken fingers basket is worth $15.50 at Boston Seafood. My husband got clam strips basket and a cup of clam chowder and we each had a soda to drink (we do not drink alcohol). The bill came to $42, plus tip (I always tip 20%; it's not the waitress fault the food is over priced). So, $50 for lunch. And to add insult to injury, there is no atmosphere inside the restaurant. The seats are torn; sometimes taped on top of the tear, sometimes not. The carpet is disgusting and it is really dreary in there. If you are going to charge ridiculous amounts for your food, at least clean the place up. I really can't justify going back there very often anymore; just too expensive for a small lunch.

Yelp
I have eaten here a number of times. Have always had good service, and good food. The waitresses have always been great. (pick on them some) I have looked at some of the other reviews, and am disgusted. If you think you are going to get Blue Fin Tuna Sushi or escargot for these prices, you need to go to N.Y. city! Good luck finding this menu as cheap. I have always found the food great, and especially the prime rib, and seafood. I invited 8 of my immediate family here for my B-day last year, and most of them took home part of their meal! All enjoyed the time and food.I saw a remark about the decor. What to hell you going here for? To site see, or to have a good meal? I find this place homey and really good food. Suck it up, and go there for good food, wonderful service, and understand you are not paying for million dollar service, and food! Although I think the service is top notch. Goooo Boston Seafood.

Yelp
ok so the people who reviewed this previously clearly aren't as smart as they think they are. the staff is definitely 5 star, the food is amazing with VERY generous portions! (which last i checked was NOT a bad thing!) iv eaten there a few times and plan to go back VERY soon. the decor was very sea oriented which makes perfect sense! the place in total is AMAZING!!!

John E.

Yelp
I think a lot of the reviews here are from people who watch to much of the food network on tv and think from watching it all the time it makes them think they are experts at how food should be cooked and served. I think the food is excellent there , not as good as the former owners but excellent so go and form your own opinion!

Tara F.

Yelp
I would have to disagree with most of the comments. I have always had a pleasant experience with Boston Seafood and it is truly one of my favorite places to eat in the area.

De D.

Yelp
The seafood crepe was great. The mocha sundaes are phenomenal per the company who dined with me. It was their favorite part of the meal. Yeah the decor could use some updating & the establishment can't help the disposition of other diners, they could be encountered anywhere - suck it up & deal with it - it adds character & the food is good. It is a good, inexpensive place to eat in my favorite part of the state.

Shane G.

Yelp
I have been a lifelong resident of North Adams and not many places to choose from for Seafood. Boston seafood has always scored low for me. Had a Family get together at Boston Seafood last night. The waitress was friendly and did a great job. The all you can eat shrimp bar was fantastic! Salad was great and fresh. Main course was Fishermans platter which includes Cod,Onion rings,Scallops,Butterfly shrimp,Rice pilaf,Broccoli with cheese. The Rice pilaf ,Broccoli and cheese,Onion rings were cold barely room temperature. Everything else was fine. We spent $150.00 for 6 meals and i would say it wasn't even worth 1/3 of that price. It's dark and gloomy with dated decor the A/C was Blasting away on a relatively cool day making it a dark cold experience. I was happy to walk out the door. If you want a meal that is hit or miss as far as quality goes this is the place for you.
