My husband and I have been eating at Boston Seafood for years and for the most part, have been satisfied with the food. But, recently, we have noticed that some of the prices have gone up. We were there on 04/20/19 and I got a chicken fingers basket. I don't like steak fries (too much potato and not enough crunch), so sometimes substitute sweet potato fries, at an additional cost. Well, they tasted fine, but the serving of fries was quite meager (costing me more) and the chicken fingers seemed smaller than they used to. But, it cost me $15.50 for this basket. There is no way in the world that a chicken fingers basket is worth $15.50 at Boston Seafood. My husband got clam strips basket and a cup of clam chowder and we each had a soda to drink (we do not drink alcohol). The bill came to $42, plus tip (I always tip 20%; it's not the waitress fault the food is over priced). So, $50 for lunch. And to add insult to injury, there is no atmosphere inside the restaurant. The seats are torn; sometimes taped on top of the tear, sometimes not. The carpet is disgusting and it is really dreary in there. If you are going to charge ridiculous amounts for your food, at least clean the place up. I really can't justify going back there very often anymore; just too expensive for a small lunch.
