Botanical Lounge

We recently had a date night here and it was awesome to escape on a Wednesday and have a midweek reprieve. The cocktails were excellent! The tapas tasted just as good as the pictures look and wow the dessert!!!!! The dessert was hands down my favorite.

The wife and I went here during restaurant week. Made a reservation on OpenTable for 6pm, but wasn’t necessary. We were there on the first floor dining area without anyone else there. Service a was good, and the food was excellent as were the cocktails. The food was honestly surprisingly good, very interesting mix of flavors that was quite refreshing and unique.

I had the pleasure of having my wedding hosted at botanical over this past weekend. Everything was better than we could have asked for. We worked directly with Miriam who was above and beyond from start to finish. She helped us with everything from how we would do every part of the ceremony down to packing our things up while we enjoyed the wedding. Even the food was absolutely amazing and the bartenders didnt skip a beat with the absurd amount we ordered. Everything was super clean and organized incredibly. I can not recommend botanical enough.

The atmosphere was absolutely lovely. I had some trouble reserving at other places for my birthday but here they were very accommodating! They were extremely attentive, patient, and fun! When we walked in they asked if we were for the party and welcomes us in and made sure we were all comfortable. I cannot stress enough how much of a lovely experience my friends and I had. Absolutely would come again and recommend!

The event coordinator Miriam Black was excellent to work with. The manager Brandon was also fantastic in coordinating the events that evening. The appetizers and platters the staff put out were delicious. The bar staff was amazing, friendly and great service. We hosted a welcome party for my son‘s wedding at the botanical lounge and used the entire downstairs space. The indoor area with the couches and tables and candlelight was an amazing atmosphere and they opened up the outdoor patio area, which was also a very enjoyable space. The sliding doors were open, completely making the space an open air venue. Again, the staff, the food, the drinks and the entire event was amazing.

My sister's and I had a girls night out and we decided to try this rooftop, it was very laid back and chill environment we enjoyed ourselves. If you just wanna chill and get out the house for bit Bontanical Lounge is a great place to visit.

I was the DJ here for a rehearsal dinner we had a great time celebrating and the vibe was perfect! All 3 floors were very cool and everything was so clean! The staff was also very responsive and elpful. Miriam responded to my emails very quickly and answered all my questions about setup. The event went so smoothly due to her and the rest of the staff. Can't wait to come back!

The Manager and staff was very professional and courteous. They really gave me and my wife a night to remember good food, drinks, and live music.

This place stunning! I mean STUNNING!!!! Romantic, elegant and cozy vibes Let's start with dessert bc the sour cream cake blew my mind! The presentation was gorgeous. And each bite mixed with the pear and gelato was incredible. I loved all tapas and drinks too!!!

I visited Botanical Lounge with a group of friends post dinner for drinks and we had a good time. We arrived around 8:30pm and I noticed the place doesn't really fill up until later in the evening. It's right on Glenwood and the ambiance was very classy. Once the crowd came in, it did get very loud and a little hard to hold a conversation. The food was good, the drinks were well-made, and the servers were attentive, which made our night easy and enjoyable. If you're looking for a place to sit and chat, I recommend going earlier in the evening before it gets crowded. But if you're in the mood for a fun and energetic night out, the rooftop is a great option too.

Tucked just above Glenwood's buzz, this rooftop garden lounge mixes plush seats, jungle vibes, and cocktails that make you forget there's a whole city below. Up here, every seat's the best seat in the house--whether you're lounging like royalty on a plush couch, or plotting world domination over cocktails at the bar. The music's just right, the plants are thriving, and so are you! Cheers.

If you're looking for a cute rooftop spot in Raleigh, definitely visit Botanical Lounge! I love that they have the fire pits for a nice cozy vibe. The service here is great and they have awesome drink prices! Enjoyed my espresso martini here.

The lounge is super cute with a cozy atmosphere. Love the botanical theme and green live plants all over the lounge. They serve great drinks. It was a super busy weekend but drinks and appetizers was served at a timely manner. Also there is a rooftop. One of my favorites places for drinks when am around the area.

My friends and I went here for lunch and had an overall pleasant experience. They have a really nice rooftop area and our server was super nice. The manager also checked on us multiple times and even adjusted their heat lamps for us :) The food was good. Nothing in particular really stood out but I can say that our overall favorite dish was the fried oysters. Same thing with the drinks, they were yummy but no standouts.

It's a place to been seen...I'd rate this restaurant a 3.5. Here's the breakdown: * Ambiance: 4 - The interior is well-appointed, but I do wonder about the cleanliness of the furniture. Overall, the ambiance was spot-on. * Food: 3 - The small plate concept was interesting, and the food came out quickly, but the flavors were mediocre. * Service: 3.5 - Service started off strong but became lackluster after our first round and the arrival of our food. * Cocktails: 3 - The house special was just okay; it was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the pricing seemed high for what we ordered. * Price: 3 - For a party of three, including two bubbly cocktails, two glasses of wine, and three small plates, the cost was quite high.

DO NOT Recommend !!!! We booked a 10 top VIP table for NYE ($1,000) We had a tab with about $400+ and two other tabs with $300+ and tipped CASH to managers and waiter $200+ Let's start with they had zero security watching VIP tables. Entire night we would have to keep telling strangers to stop stealing from our table (drinks, food, souvenirs). I caught a woman stuffing her pants (YES HER PANTS) with our table food and topping off all her friends cups with our bottles. We told the waiter and nothing was done. This happened through out the night. We drove from DC to be apart of this NYE event. You would think if a VIP table costs $1000, you would at least have a secured table as promised with no issues. Spoke to the manager and from the $2,000+ spent that night, he was only able to refund $40? Which is a slap in the face and complete disrespect. Also to add a clutch was stolen with all the cash missing In it too but we didn't make a fuss about it. Even though this wouldn't had happened if there was security there and hovering over VIPS We need better customer service and better compensation for these troubles. The worst experience for NYE after traveling from so far. 100% do not recommend. Let's add, they were short staffed and it took me 25 mins to get my drinks on the rooftop and 30 mins to get drinks on the second floor. DO BETTER FOR HUGE EVENTS. unacceptable.

Very cool, and pretty bar. The decorations on the first floor are amazing. They have a very pretty outside spot and two large bars. The upstairs has a rooftop deck. They also have a DJ on certain nights. Drinks were great. If I lived here I would frequent this bar.

Eclectic drink selection. Different stories with different vibes. Dancing, if that's your thing. Good spot for photo opps. Expedient service. Overall a fun spot.

Manager was on top of everything, we came a little late due to a conflict and he served us food even though the kitchen was closed. Super cool guy we will be back!!!

The ambiance in the Botanical Lounge was amazing. The staff was awesome, super attentive and very courteous! The food and drinks were outstanding! I would recommend you try their drink called "Crime of Passion"! If you're looking to have an all around great time with a great atmosphere and chill crowd, give it a try!

Incredible interior decorating! Drinks were great, I prefered the Garden Spritz over the Don't Kill my Vibe. Amazing music and atmosphere. My husband and I just needed to kill an hour on a Friday night and couldn't have stumbled into a better place. Many bars on this street and definitely preferred this place.

A beautiful bar/lounge! Such a cool vibe for a night out for drinks. And for the time we visited, a great place to book for special event or birthday! They have a cocktail, wine and beer menu, and do small plates (tapas), if you're wanting to munch while sippin'.

It's still early but the Botanical Lounge in S. Glenwood is now open! Brought to you by Hibernian Hospitality, it's a stunner of a space, located where Solas used to be. Part bar, part lounge and part restaurant, the decor is posh but modern. A front and side patio means there's plenty of air and sunshine to keep you happy. And the menu of small plates are quirky and varied. It's still early, food service won't start until 10/6 but call me impressed so far. I'll be updating the review as they continue to open up.

Very nice ambiance here. Seemed to be a mature crowd out on a Friday night earlier before 10. It started to get crowded as the night went on. The bartenders were attentive. The server came around and offered us drinks. They do serve food but after a certain hour they do stop serving. I do think they should keep serving at least until 10:30. I enjoyed the experience overall. Very nice chill vibes. I would recommend Botanical to friends.

Fantastic spot to hangout in groups both small or large. Plenty of seating available, all of which is incredibly comfortable, and the service is all very friendly and prompt. The music is great, adding to the cozy, laid back, yet fun environment. Would definitely recommend.

Eh. Let's talk about it... It was Saturday 9/4. Every other bar near Botanical requires a dress code. One of our friends had on a graphic Palm Beach Florida tank top, so we couldn't enter the other bars. I thought Botanical did also, but they allowed six of us to enter without question (maybe because they were dead?) Also, I recognized this building from 2018 when it used to be a club (I can't remember the name) so I definitely wanted to check it out as I haven't been to Raleigh in about 4 years! Review is mainly based off of the rude manager/server we encountered. They close at 2am. There was no one else on the rooftop. We ordered around of drinks around 12:45 with a sweet blonde bartender. She didn't rush us and was very attentive and for that, I appreciate. However, when I went up to the bar a second time to order one last round, around 1:15am, I asked a separate bartender what time last call was and before she could even respond the male manager rudely said "LAST CALL IS AT 1:30AM!" without even looking at me with his bartenders cash drawer/close out receipt and stormed off. I just want to remind this manager that you chose to work in the hospitality industry, yeah? Myself, partner and friends I was with was nothing but kind from speaking with the bouncer to kindly asking for drinks while your rooftop was DEAD. Do you not want sales? The tone was unnecessary and for that I can speak for myself and tell you I won't be back. The couch seating area behind the high tops was the only seating big enough to fit our party. A lot of the cushions were warped or split open and most of the couch seating had dirty tables. There were 3 full drinks on the table before we sat down. The server after my encounter with the manager proceeded to grab drinks from our table rolling her eyes at us as we said thank you. Even though they weren't our drinks. I won't be back and it's a shame because this rooftop has potential but your staff should be like your babies. They feed off of energy. Change the tone. Take some tips from the bartender I first mentioned in this review.

It's a beautiful spot. Unfortunately when we visited they had to push the start date to serve food back so we grabbed a cocktail instead. The drinks were good and the service was friendly. We will be returning soon to check out the tapas and more drinks.

Aesthetically, extremely pleasing. Went around dinner time for drinks and appetizers. Had a reservation set days before, and were properly sat accordingly, but it took maybe 15 minutes for a server to come by so we could get the drink menu from her. Drinks were very strong which is fun and the vibe is beautiful, but the service isn't up to par. We skipped the small plates and ate somewhere else. Perhaps this is nightlife focused and our dinner time service isn't their bread and butter.

Food , great ! Service was great ! And ambiance was perfect . Was there on the day some crazy dude was outside fighting ppl . I can't wait to go back :)

This place is special. Engaging staff and beautiful decor with unique cocktail choices, along with beer & wine. The rooftop is set up for great hang out space and downstairs is spacious & offers outdoor seating and many garden-like lounging areas. The management & staff are top notch. You can just tell it's going to be the place to be.

So having been to this place prior, when it was Solas, I must say I am highly impressed with the new ownership. The atmosphere is so chic, yet zen. The decor is beautiful and really sets the tone for the start of a good night or even a wine down. The only update, I'd suggest would be the flooring for the roof top. Wearing heels can still be a drag, should a heel get stuck. Other than that, I'm super impressed. The food, so I'm huge on checking out a yelp page to actually see photos of what I could possibly order at a new restaurant, however in this case I only saw maybe 2 or 3 prior to coming. So I was set on doing a review with photos. I played it safe, because who doesn't love seafood. The server was beyond patient. There were quite a few of us, but she was very attentive, and had anything we ordered out in good timing which was great! I ordered the Lobster nuggets and Empanadas. They were both amazing choices. The empanada and the sauce! That was everything! I'll definitely be back for more of these. A friend of mine got the cheese/bread dish. I'm not really sure the details. But she did say the cheese wasn't as firm as cheese usually is. So she wasn't completely impressed. I didn't taste it unfortunately, so definitely order at your own risk. My cocktail was really good. Great taste, not strong, not super sweet but a great cocktail concoction. 2 people in the party ordered club soda, and both mentioned it was flat. I'm not sure if that was just a malfunction last night or what. We did make the suggestion to maybe add some desserts and coffee/dessert beverages to the menu. Again that would pair well with the ambiance of the venue. Overall great experience, I'll definitely return.

Okay, so for starters this place is so pretty. I can't say too much about the food yet but the drinks were awesome. I would definitely recommend!

The place is nice, but, Isaac makes it amazing!!!!! He gave us the best experience we could have asked for! And bonus, he took the best pics! Will be definitely be back!

Wow wow wow! One word for this place: A VIBE! I guess thats two words but you know what I mean lol. I went to Botanical Lounge on a Wednesday night and it was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want it to be packed, I just wanted great food and great drinks and let me tell you, they definitely met those expectations! The decor is beautiful as well! Our waitress Angie was such an angel too! If you eat chicken, the tostadas are a must! They were so delicious! I would also recommend the drink called "El Vuelo". I cant wait to go back!

The Botanical lounge was a great experience. Great drinks and bartenders. The management, specifically the AGM was a bit awkward, but... the bartenders were amazing! Specifically Jeff was making me laugh and have a great time. Definitely gonna check it out again.

Went on a Friday night and they weren't too packed. Sat on the inside at the bar and ordered Lemon drops which were good. The ambiance is very nice. From the decor to the live band that was present. There is a rooftop to enjoy the views of Glenwood with seating and another bar. Glad to find a more upscale and order option on Glenwood.

I can only review the drinks in the bar. The bar service was fine. I went to the High bar. It was a nice atmosphere. In the botanical lounge. It was gorgeous but I was seeking fresh air. I will go back again for drinks. but the menu didn't spark my interest.

My friends and I received prompt and polite service from Isaac! He truly helped celebrate her birthday! And the drinks were incredible.

Such a cute lounge spot! Friendly staff & the vibes were on point. The aesthetic is very "Instagram worthy" There's a roof top bar that gives you a nice view of Glenwood. I will definitely be back!

Really pretty building. And not too many rooftops in Raleigh at all to speak of. The bartenders upstairs are so incredibly slow and rude. Half of them are chatting and trying to pick up girls or guys, or are on their phone the entire time. Me and my group of friends were waiting at the bar 20 minutes over the weekend to get a drink while several were just Instagram and taking photos and stuff. Unreal. If I was the owner I would've been livid. We laughed about it and then went to the Willard.

Botanical lounge has a vibe themed on horticulture Its floral themed cocktails hit the spot as you enjoy the inviting spaces with your friends. The bar is three stories with a gorgeous rooftop space making it unique and a MUST try.

DON'T waste your time! I been wanting to visit this place for the longest so when I finally got a chance to experience this " oh so nice place" we received the worst service everrrrr. Sat for 25mins without being greeted. The manger walked passed us twice and never opened his mouth to see if we had been helped. I will never step foot in this lounge again and neither will I recommend it to anyone!!!!!! Take your money elsewhere.

we went to this rooftop a few weeks ago, and were very disappointed. The food was not very good and the drinks were horrible. Other than that the floor around our table was so sticky and had cut up limes laying around. I'm sure it hadn't been cleaned in several days.

Ok I've been wanting to try this spot out since I saw it open. The aesthetic was spot on: great lounge area with lots of outside seating. That part was great. That's where it stoped. The food was subpar and yea it's tapas but damn. The shrimp empanadas were minuscule. The drinks were also just not great. I left and headed to clockwork which is amazing. The music was also not popping. Boring. I hope they get it together.

I wanted to take a moment to share just how much I appreciated the venue, the food, the customer service Miriam provided from day 1, and the service of the waitstaff and bartenders the night of our recent party. From the moment I sent my first email inquiry, Miriam was responsive and available to meet with me to view the space right away. She was kind, easy to work with, prompt with getting back to me with follow up questions and emails over the next couple of months and she was patient with me since I told her I was nervous and a bit scarred from other experiences. I really wanted our company party to reflect well on my boss and on me and for everyone to have a wonderful time and truly all went to plan and the guests have all raved about what a great location I picked and how good the food was. Thank you all for not letting me down! I conveyed my appreciation, my level of gratitude and my experience to Miriam and I hope she and the other staff felt my genuine appreciation that evening for the presentation being so perfect that night. We felt secure and safe, the decorations were lovely, the food and drinks didn't disappoint my sometimes snooty coworkers, and the level of customer service (walking around the room to ask if people needed another beverage, asking how everything tasted, etc.) didn't go unnoticed. As a small business owner and entrepreneur, I notice and really value these things. When people asked me about the location leading up to the party, I was hesitant to describe it as the "old Solas" spot because I was worried about preconceived notions and I'm so glad they all got to see what I saw when I first visited. You guys have done a great job re-branding and I fully intend to have more events there. Keep up the good work!

husband came down with a virus and puked in the floor on the rooftop (complete accident)...friend and I tried to take him to the bathroom before leaving and security basically threw us out and acted like he did it on purpose. he bought zero drinks. rest of us bought 1-2. he had one drink in his system from home two hours before. we tried to talk with security and ask if we could just clean his face off and he said no, tossed us a wad of paper towels, and replied "he puked on the fucking couch" (he didn't, it was the floor, all of us were super apologetic about the whole thing). I will say that the other security guard seemed embarrassed of his colleagues behavior and understanding of the situation.

Don't go here if you want good service and food. The bouncer are rude and the food is one of the worse on Glenwood.
