They've got a great facility, do wonderfully important work, have great resources for botany & herbalism enthusiasts, and the employees are great. They deserve more support, go check them out!

Had a great time at the Japanese garden there. The path is circular so you can’t really get lost at the Japanese garden. There were a lot of benches where you can sit down. Would definitely love to come in the cooler seasons though. There’s also parking at the place so that’s nice. I thought the $12 admission was very fair.

I went on a field trip with my son’s class. The people there are so sweet and understanding of how little ones can be. The lady that worked with us was so patient and nice. She did an amazing job with the kids. She read a fun book to them and spoke to them about plants and insects. We took a walk out in the garden and she talked abt a few of the flowers showing them things they would find interesting. They even got to look through microscopes and use tweezers to separate leaves, stems, buds and categorize them. There was another room with stations and each station was an activity that was age appropriate. We ate our lunch in a shaded area with a few benches and lots for kids to sit on. It was a wonderful trip that all of them enjoyed so much! We had kids from 3 to 6 yrs old with us.

Best place to learn about plant taxonomy in Texas with good building concept. The laboratium should be very useful for university students if they want do some research about plant. Many collection of plant herbariums, books and pictures. There is also room for children to learn something. Nice people will guide you to see around the building. If you lucky, you can see horses eat the grass at the backyard as their method to clean grass. There is solar panel on the roof.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at the BRIT. It was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. The staff, both Katherine and Courtney, were amazingly kind, thorough, and patient as I asked approximately ten million questions. One of the things I appreciated most was how helpful they were. About a month before the wedding, the house I was supposed to stay at, and where we would have taken pictures in the morning if it rained, fell through. I asked the BRIT if we could use the atrium as a rain plan and they were very accommodating, which was great, because it rained. We had a really nice, dry, space to take pictures and we ended up getting a really nice first look. Courtney was also very helpful when our caterer needed twice as many tables as they said they would the week before. We had 160 people at our wedding. It was an afternoon wedding and didn't have a formal meal service so we did not have tables for everyone, but we probably could have made it work if we had needed to. Courtney was really helpful as we worked on the floor plan and I was very happy with how everything turned out. The space was also beautiful, and the natural light was great. We were able to see the outside without having to experience the outside, which was fortunate given the weather. All around it was a great experience and it was an extra bonus to my husband and I that our wedding could contribute science and education in such a cool way.

My wife and I had our wedding at the BRIT. We originally were going to have the ceremony at the lower rose garden but due to rain we were unable to. Our event coordinator Paige, helped save the day and got our venue change to the atrium of the BRIT and it was absolutely perfect! Paige, the food team, and all BRIT staff were incredibly accommodating and professional!

Yelp
In my opinion the Botanical Research Institute of Texas publishes some of the highest quality floras in the United States. I've purchased many over the years (see picture for one of my favorites) and always make sure to browse their website for upcoming new releases. Great customer service and prompt shipping. While the books are generally a bit pricey the content makes them worth every penny. Forget Amazon and support the fine work these folks are doing. Highly recommend!

Yelp
An absolutely gorgeous space both outside and in, BRIT is a must-see for locals and tourists alike. Before I went in person, I looked up their website to see what this impressive homage to green living and environmental education is all about. They have a brilliant tagline ending their introductory description that says, "come visit our world to discover your world." How lovely and captivating is that notion? BRIT is right around the corner from the Botanic Gardens - a place I absolutely love to frequent. It's pretty strange and silly that I never went to explore the research facility and beautiful venue space next door - not until recently. From the outside, the building appears simple but grand with tall windows in straight lines. It's very angular and clean-cut; a meticulously structured building set amongst an organic landscape. The lawns outside are huge and sprawling, and the rooftop is living - another lawn a few stories high! The inside of BRIT is absolutely beautiful. The architecture is stunning - this would be a fantastic venue for a wedding or any event. Check out the pics here on Yelp and on their website to see just how open, unique, and memorable the space is. They even have a little rooftop patio! There's a grand staircase in the center that makes the space feel extra fancy and a bit whimsical, and all the natural light brightens everything beautifully. BRIT's mission is to conserve nature and to teach people how valuable plants are to our world, and they do this in a variety of ways: award winning research, classes for children and adults, events centered on their goal, farmer's markets, volunteer opportunities, and their impressive collections and herbarium (which houses over 1 million plants... WHAT!). Whether or not you're interested in learning exactly how and why our environment operates the way it does, hopefully all understand how important it is that so many people have dedicated their lives to doing so. We're all of this earth! Come to BRIT to celebrate.

Yelp
Really beautiful and serene venue. I went to a yelp event here, and I've honestly never seen a building like this in Texas. I can't wait to see what it's like when the vines fully climb the walls! The plants on the rooftop are awesome!! I think this would be a truly beautiful setting for a wedding reception :)

Yelp
This review is only for their farmers market on Saturdays. I went to our first farmers market at BRIT last Saturday. Yes, it was small but I feel that it is really important to support our local vendors whenever possible. We were able to buy some fresh organic zucchinis, tomatoes, and eggplants. They all turned out to be super fresh and delicious. We also got a delicious fig flavored balsamic vinegar from Terra Verde and two tasty jams from In a Pickle. We highly recommend the rum peaches and cream flavor. Our last stop was at Happy Tomato Fresh Salsa in which we got this amazing Very Verde salsa. It has just the right amount of spiciness. Our trip was a success and we can't wait to go back again. Tip: It's only on the first Saturday of every month until November.

Yelp
The Botanical Research Institute of Texas is a really neat place. It is tucked away between the botanical gardens and will rodgers complex. You enter at the flower clock off University and take a right into the parking lots. They host community training and promote volunteerism. I meet here weekly with a business group and we pay a reasonable rate in order to have a classroom setup with projector and screen. They allow us to cater our own breakfasts. The rates are about same as a a hotel, but you get the bonus of a modern, LEED certified facility with an art gallery next door.

Yelp
From the entrance of the property, I was greeted by beautiful floral arrangements and lovely greenery that surrounds the facility. BRIT has a really neat ambiance that you can feel while you walk around the grounds. As if it weren't connected to the hustle and bustle of Fort Worth traffic on University, and the nearby freeway. The lobbies, private rooms and even the staircase are enchanting; BRIT would be a wonderful location for meetings and or events of all occasions. I really and pleased with, and love what BRIT does for the community, and look forward to seeing their work continue to prosper for years to come.

Yelp
BRIT is a beautiful institute located next to the Botanical Gardens of Fort Worth. I had the chance to visit BRIT because I was invited to a party there. Everyone who works there is very friendly and knowledgeable. The architecture is beautiful and the information throughout the building is very interesting. I cannot wait to visit BRIT during regular business hours. I am very excited about learning more about their research.

Yelp
I drive by this building all the time and never knew what it was! Went to a Yelp event here and got to see the inside and learn all about what goes on at the BRIT. The building itself is gorgeous with floor to ceiling windows. Perfect venue for a wedding is what I kept thinking, as you'd have cover for weather, and the botanical gardens next door for guests. Cool place.

Yelp
If I could pick any place, based on beauty and coolness, to have a party, get married, graduation, reception, get killed, whatevs, it woud be this place. What an awesome venue. The mere pageantry of this building is something Fort Worth should be very proud of. We were here for Yelp Secret garden, and this place aint a secret any longer. If you have never been here, get here. The living roof was awesome ,and oh did I mention it's looks, both inside and out. Come check it out, and appreciate the few wonderful things towns like Ft. Worth have to offer.

Yelp
I've lived here all my life, driven by a thousand times and didn't know the B.R.I.T. was even there. I just wondered why they weren't mowing that grass? Now I know. This is a great hidden secret. The building is beautiful and I love all the local art that's displayed. If you've never been here before I strongly recommend checking it out

Yelp
What a wonderful venue to have in our city. The upstairs terrace is breathtaking. The yelp event hosted by Kendall S. and Yelp was so much fun. A great way to meet so many food vendors in our area. The extra entertainment was spot on. There was a fabulous magician/deception specialist Sonu Varkey. Bravo!

Yelp
This place is gorgeous! I love the parking spots for carpools and fuel efficient vehicles. The cables they've installed to let the vines cover the building are beautiful. All the Black-eyed Susans growing out front make me smile. Inside is beautiful with the huge staircase, floor to ceiling windows and tall ceilings. The small rooftop patio was cute with the plants and shaded areas. I could see wedding receptions being held here after getting married in one of the gardens next door!

Yelp
BRIT is a crazy beautiful building both inside and out. I come here for meetings of the North Central Native Plant Society of Texas. BRIT along with the Fort Worth Botaincal Gardens are green splash of beauty in a already great town.

Yelp
FARMERS MARKET? Really? I didn't see any real farms...where was the really nice farm that was at this market last year? From Weatherford? The only booth with good produce was that farm. It's not worth the trip if you're looking for produce. If you like craft stuff it's ok, but not real food.
