"When you’re thinking about a restaurant for a special occasion, the aim is to enjoy a unique experience. This is precisely the case at Botrini’s, where guests can embark upon a gastronomic journey that tells the chefs’ personal stories which unfold between stunning Greece (Corfu and Thessaly), and romantic Tuscany. Chef Ettore Botrini, who is at the helm of this restaurant, shows himself to be a superb ambassador for cuisine that is a fusion of both countries; while his right-hand man, chefIlias Ntoukas, dedicates himself to creating dishes that feature natural ingredients and have their roots in traditional cuisine. Occupying a former school on the outskirts of Athens, the restaurant’s interior features an elegant dining room with an open-view kitchen, the option of dining at the chef’s table or, in fine weather, in a pleasant outdoor space. The menu comes in two versions (Peripatos and Taksidi), both with the option of adding extra dishes to make the experience even more memorable." - Michelin Inspector

Athens: Top Restaurants for a Taste of New Greek Cuisine

"Located in the heart of the peaceful Chalandri district, Botrini's offers an exciting gastronomic experience. Here, not one but two chefs are in the kitchen, each with his own style and personality. Ettore Botrini, a Greek-Italian who has been involved in haute cuisine for over 40 years, is very proud of his Corfu origins." - The MICHELIN Guide

4 Excellent Restaurants in Athens, Greece

"A converted school in a quiet suburb—now a passionately run restaurant with an ultra-modern interior, a sleek glass-fronted kitchen and verdant terraces. Appealing modern menus feature local produce in creative, attractively presented dishes. Many of the oils, salamis and wines are produced by the family." - The MICHELIN Guide

An overall amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The Chef’s table menu (including a few extra courses) is definitely worth it. Very positive to note that most ingredients are Greek. Many of these ingredients act as the main point of a dish, appearing in them in many forms. The presentation of all dishes was amazing. It would be nice however, if there was a recommendation on how to eat some of the dishes, to get the best tasting experience. Seeing the kitchen staff prepare each dish is captivating. However, the atmosphere surrounding the Chef’s table should be improved.

I am speechless… As I was writing my review and reflecting on my night I was ready to award 3 or 4 stars until I noticed something on my bill. But let me rewind. We had made a reservation through the Dine Athens initiative which provides a set menu at 80 euros per person. To be honest, I liked everything I ate with a personal highlight being the swordfish carpaccio and a total disappointment being the beef which was chewy and tough and both of us were not able to finish it. I would then deduct one star for that. I would deduct another star because the staff, although being friendly and eager, from a certain point onwards felt disoriented. We requested a glass of red wine to come with our tartare but it was forgotten and we had to remind them after we finished our dish. We also had to remind them a couple of times to bring our check. However, when I went home, I checked the bill and I saw that we were charged 3 bottles of water that we certainly did not consume as there were only two of us and we mainly focused on wine. We barely had a bottle at maximum. This practice is at the very least sketchy and certainly not worthy of a Michelin- starred restaurant. I definitely do not recommend and will not visit again.

They certainly try hard to present fine dining experience. But the quality of the food is just not good enough, not worthy of the Michelin star in my opinion. There are so many Greek restaurants in Mykonos (Nice n Easy) and Santorini (Character) that are so much better, without the star.

What a place! An amazing experience from the start to the finish. Very good personnel, amazing food and drinks. Note that the champagne option as a starter costed €45,- per glass. It was very good! But good to know the price ;).

Google
Greek tradition in perfect harmony with modern cuisine. Every course comes with a story which you take with you at the end of the dining. I could place this restaurant easily at the top 3 of all the restaurants we’ve visited so far. Everything made is perfection! My personal highlight, the melomakarono dessert, probably the best dessert I’ve ever tasted. This is a truly unique experience that everyone should try when in Athens. Will definitely visit again!

I went there with my family two months ago! I was really excited and i had really high expectations because i aswell went to one of his restaurants in vouligmani that was fantastic! But this specifically i was kinda disappointed by the portions and the food we choose the menu with the seafood which from that my dad got stomach sick and the portions as i said were rll tiny and they offered us stuff as “welcome gifts” and champagne which we didnt ask for and we go charged for that aswell. But the service and atmosphere were rll nice but we went there for the food which disappointed us

Google
This Michelin-starred restaurant offers set menus featuring 10 to 14 dishes. The cuisine reflects the chef's Greek and Italian heritage. A fine selection of Greek, Italian, and French wines is available. The chef is a celebrity with numerous establishments in Attica. The price is quite reasonable for such a high level of gastronomy.

Botrini time after time exceeds my expectations with their exquisite course selection, flavor pairing, astounding customer service, and knowledge of the dishes and their history. They take pride in their keen appreciation for the minor details of ambience and atmosphere as well. This is my fifth time dining here and I brought my girlfriend and my mom to experience my favorite restaurant in Athens altogether. From business celebrations to birthdays, time after time, I will choose a Botrini over any other restaurant in Athens. I hope to continue to bring future partners, investors, and family members to this wonderful establishment and supporting the amazing culinary experience that they provide. A minor suggestion that I have for the future is possibly creating an area in the restaurant that is smoke free. Because the gastronomic experience involves so many sensory elements, I find it a bit unfair for those who do not smoke cigarettes to indulge in the smoke from other nearby tables. I am saying this sincerely from the bottom my heart that I believe it will enhance the already wonderful experience to heights unseen before! I understand Greece is definitely a country that is open to smoking, and I am not criticizing anyone who partakes in smoking, but just to show respect and fairness for those who would like to enjoy a meal without this element, I think it would serve wonders to consider this for the future! Thank you also so much to the wonderful staff behind the scenes in the kitchen. They took time out of their day to take a picture with us and I truly do appreciate it. It was so cool!! You are all so talented and deserve just as much recognition as the front staff does for their service! I appreciate all of you. Much love and can’t wait to come back again!!
