The 36 Best Restaurants in Mexico City, From the Splurge-Worthy to Streetside Tamale Stands | Condé Nast Traveler

"Bottega Sartoria is an offshoot of Sartoria across the street, an upscale Italian restaurant by Marco Carboni, a Mexican chef with Italian roots. Bottega, on the other hand, is a charming, standing-room-only café that sells dried pasta, sauces, cheeses, and cured meats, along with some of the products used in the full restaurant. Anchored by a vintage Faema espresso machine and dangling legs of ham, the café serves a snacky, ever-changing list of bites that pair well with wines (all of which are either Italian or Mexican)." - Naomi Tomky, Scarlett Lindeman

Come, eat, drink, practice your Spanish, make a friend. Leave with a smile. The roast was chicken 11/10 - tender, balanced, rich, delicious. Paired with the Mexican Zapa red - freaking chefs kiss. I got to try some mango pastry as well that was going on the menu and it was so good. Amazing atmosphere, with a nice mix of English and Spanish being spoken. Gorgeous decor. And of course to top it off, Natalie and Carlos were absolute lovely.

just had a coffee here, it was pretty good. the terrace though is kinda in the middle of traffic, which is quite common in this city. tables are really close which was great for me as I got to listen in to a conversation about starting a dating podcast. I wanted to contribute but unfortunately it was before my coffee so I wasn't awake. would come to this place in the evening for a drink, the inside is very cute. although, what is up with wine prices in this country?

Nice place, but very thin coffee. I ordered an Americano and I could almost see through it. My girlfriend ordered an cafe latte and it was also very weak. I can recommend the place for relaxing and chatting and other people seemed to enjoy their drinks, but not for the cafe.

The food is high quality and delicious but the service is always such a turn off. I would come here more if the service wasn’t so immediately disappointing. Every single time I pop my head in to ask about anything - bread, the menu etc - they barely give me the time of day, act like I’m bothering them, no smiles, no nothing. Most of the time I leave because of that. But given the menu and quality of the food, I decided to give it a try - despite the same cold welcome. Took like an hour to get a simple panini! Ugh I really want to like this place more. Please train your staff to be decently amicable.

This is a super cozy place to enjoy an afternoon snack or a glass of wine. I love sitting inside and watching as they slice my prosciutto and mortadella. It was great. The mortadella, prosciutto, and cheese were amazing, especially when paired with the wine. The combination was just perfect. The location is perfect for this place. It's in a very safe and cozy area, ideal for a walk. I highly recommend this place. The bread, balsamic vinegar—everything is just 10 out of 10. I highly, highly recommend it.

1st time eating here. For appetizer we had the calamari. Main course the Chicken Parmesan. The chicken was a bit dry around the edges. The house salad was fresh. House dressing was oil & vinegar.

I love this little wine bar. I went solo and just sat at the bar and had a glass of wine and an appetizer. I love the little sun dries section they have. Definitely some great food gifts.

Nice Italian food. The place is tiny so you have to sit outside but has good recipes to try. Also artisan beers 🍻

Yelp
The rosè was delicious and so was the hummus with heirloom carrots and bread. Pricey but good! The servers were friendly enough but they should do a better job at stopping solicitors coming up on to the deck and approaching/harrassing customers at their tables. June 2022

Yelp
We were in Mexico City for a week earlier this month - for my birthday!!! And we were staying right off the Plaza Rio de Janeiro - just a few minutes walk from Bottega Sartoria. I wanted to stop by for a glass or bottle of wine, and we were able to do that before a late dinner reservation one evening. It's a bottle shop and wine bar, but they don't have the listed menu wasn't enormous. They had one bottle of orange/skin-contact wine that I wanted to try, and it turned out be totally amazing (I tried to find it when we got back home but it's not imported to the US). We also got a bottle of wine to take back to our airbnb for later. The service was great! Sitting out on their gorgeous patio (there a few bar stools inside, but almost all of the seating is outside) with a great bottle of wine was a pretty great way to relax after being on our feet all day for days, touristing around Mexico City!

Yelp
Took them long enough to find a suitable model to work under the tight pandemic restrictions, but the wait was worth over. Even if it looks like a very small place, their menu and their wines selection are really fine, and also it serves as a small convenience boutique. The best part about it is that any time you go, the food and drinks will be just right, even if it's for a noon coffee, some bakery or some wine glasses before going to sleep.
