Bottega Penang

My favourite Italian restaurant to go to in Penang! If you're a cheese connoisseur like me, you'll like this spot! The menu offers an excellent assortment of foods, and we like everything we had. Shout out to our bro Wasim for providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our needs were met throughout the evening.

Came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We called ahead to book a table for three — luckily, one was available! It was our first time trying Italian food, and we have no regrets. The herbs, spices, and aroma were simply amazing — every dish was packed with flavour. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we’d like to give a special shoutout to Asad, who made us feel completely at ease. His warm hospitality really enhanced our experience. All in all, it was a fantastic evening — definitely a memorable one!

A great night spent at Bottega Penang. We had pizza, pork ribs and some sides, the food were all great, good atmosphere and my parents really enjoyed it. Paired with wine and we got the complimentary cheese plate plus a birthday surprise for my dad. We really enjoyed the night, specially thanks to the great service by Wasim! Will definitely visit again :)

The restaurant is good and so is the atmosphere! The pizza was spectacular and the burrata average (a little dry inside). They have very good wine but the drinks are extremely expensive. There's one thing I don't understand and can't agree with: why do the menu prices come without tax (6% on food and 8% on alcoholic drinks) and + 10% service charge! It's much more honest to put these prices on the menu so that the customer has a real idea of what they're going to pay... A very positive note goes to the friendliness of the staff!

Food was great and delicious. Felt like a trattoria, as intended. Giving the perfect dining experience. Could feel the positive vibes from the team. Friendly and attentive to all the customers. Sommelier was so kind to "accidentally offer" us a free bottle of Chianti. Good thing we "declined" and paid for it 😜, else it would have come out from the crews pocket 🤣🤣

Alot of babi here . I mean pork😆 Whoever babi lover can try here🐷. Lots of choices in their menu instead of other meat. T pizza was really nice & Pasta eventho t waiter did not listen to what i requested that i dont want any clams inside my plate.That was very dissapointing. Ventilation quite bad as well as this place has open concepts cooking place. T time we was there, Its very noisy like a market. Nice place but sorry not to repeat.!

We had a most lovely meal there. Pasta, Meat, Pizza, Dessert.....all were very, very good. If only we had more room. Excellent service too!

Very good authentic Italian dishes that you can get abroad in Penang. They have a wide range of cheeses & salami/ingredients that's not usually found here. The heat from the kitchen can be a bit hot since it's an open kitchen although air-conditioning. Would recommend to glass it out so kitchen and dining remain seperated but visible.
