Bottle barn is literally heaven if you’ve spent any time in a vineyard or wine region, where you’ve grown to love some of your wines in an area. The staff is unbelievably welcoming and friendly. There are so many choices and they may have tried some and are happy to recommend . Many international Selections from Côtes du Rhône to your favorite Bordeaux or burgundy and California gems. I think you’ll be shocked at the amazing variety, really knowledgeable staff , a must on any tour of Napa.

Fantastic selection of wine and spirits. At least 3/4 of inventory are imports which are hard to come by in the heart of California wine country. The staff are great— actually knowledgeable and helpful and know where to find things. Skip BevMo and total wine, bottle barn is where your next beverage awaits you.

This is a very large liquor, beer, and wine Warehouse; somewhat similar the old Liquor Barns, although more personal and individual. Both the selection and pricing is excellent. It's a fine place for buying liquor and beer. The problem: it's WAY TOO WARM in that building for fine wine. I went in a few days ago (Aug 2025) and it was at least 75° inside this wine retailer. The A/C system is obviously inadequate for a building that large (15,000 sq ft) with ~22 ft ceilings. It was so warm inside, they had an old swamp cooler blowing in the back toward the office desks. It's too bad, the wine selection is truly exceptional. Their wine buyer (Barry) is one of the best in the business.

Stopped on my visit from Los Angeles, and boy was I impressed with their tequila selections. Prices were very good, I would even dare to say lower than most places I visit often in Los Angeles. Staff was helpful and had knowledge on a lot of the spirits they offer. Walked out with a good amount of bottles, will definitely visit again when I am in the area.

Knowledgeable staff. Bottle Barn has one of the best selection of spirits in the region with excellent prices. I make this one of my stops any time I'm in Santa Rosa.

Excellent variety and selection of all types of liquors- even the normally tough and difficult to find! Quite impressed with quantity and prices. The staff was also very friendly and helpful!!

The Bottle Barn is one of Sonoma County's largest stockists of artisan cider. The buyer, Joe, is very knowledgeable and offers a wide selection of our local ciders as well as many favorites from across the West Coast, the other end of the country, and even Europe. Currently, they are stocking cider made by 10 of the 17 producers we will be pouring at the Craft Cider Tent at the 2024 Gravenstein Apple Fair. In addition to the larger producers (Ace, Golden State, Humboldt, Gowan's), they have lots of smaller-batch ciders (Bardos, Dutton, Ethic, Horse and Plow, Tilted Shed, and Lassen). I found several other favorites from around the US and the UK: Art+Science (OR), Eve's Cidery (NY), Farnham Hill (NH), and Eden (VT), as well as Oliver's Cider and Little Pomona from England. They also have a section of non-alcoholic ciders (Tilted Shed, Golden State, and one other well-known producer, but now I can't remember which it was). I'm willing to bet that anyone can find a cider they like at the Bottle Barn. There's a huge amount of diversity there: sweet, fruity ciders to bone-dry, clean to funky, wild yeast ferments vs. cultured yeast, and many barrel-aged ciders. They have bottle conditioned, pét-nat, methode traditionelle, and force-carbonated.

Oh my goodness, it's my new Disneyland! I will make the drive to come up here. I have yet to find as good an Aquavit selection and Mead selection. We dropped a C Note on the St George Single Malt. Since we can't find it anywhere, it was an immediate grab. We also got a new Danish Mead which we can't wait to open at our Viking Yule Fest. We also picked up some aquavit and a nice Pinot and some craft beer. Get this, the beer was put in the can a mere 3 weeks ago. Lots of help - you look a little lost and someone is instantly next to you. So Much Wine, Bubbles, whatever you might be jonesing, for you got it, things for mixing there too. People are so nice in the store. If you see a big guy with a beard and a nice smile - be super nice to him. If his name is Aaron, you have found the guy who shopped there for 20 years before he ever worked there. He knows everything. Give him a high five and tell him Yoko sent you!

A "must visit" every time in Santa Rosa. Tons of great beers and wines you won't find in other stores. Bottle Barn has direct relationships with vintners & breweries so they dont rely strictly on distributors like retail stores do. A 15 minute visit got me amazing stouts plus several reds yo be shared on the beach.

Bottle Barn is still a really cool place to go and check out, regardless of whether you're into wine, beer, spirits, etc. It's fun to walk the aisles and see all the stuff they have. Not all of the staff are particularly knowledgeable so getting help is a bit hit or miss, unfortunately, though with a selection this large, I'm sure it's pretty challenging to know everything about every producer. I've been shopping at Bottle Barn for the better part of a decade. I still love their selection, wine in particular. Prices tend to be very competitive - while not often the lowest, they are usually within a few to several dollars of the lowest prices shown on Wine Searcher. With all the positives out of the way, there are two things which you may find frustrating if you decide to shop, especially if you like to place orders online and pick up later so you don't have to spend an hour locating every bottle you want to buy. (1) When the quantity is showing 3 or fewer bottles, good luck - chances are, they aren't going to be able to locate it or their inventory is simply out of date. This has happened to me numerous times, both for online orders, as well as walking in and looking for a bottle their site said was in stock. They will often give the excuse that customers pick up the bottles, change their mind, and then place them wherever it's convenient. I get that, but for anything low quantity, it seems rather important to verify these bottles exist and can be found and I would've assumed this was a standard part of doing some regular inventory. (2) They place barcode stickers on every bottle and they are not easy to remove. Normally, if I'm buying something to drink at home, I care less about this, but if you're buying something as a gift, you'll have to spend 10 minutes fighting this sticker and removing all the sticky residue that's left behind. I once asked if it was possible for them to remove the price sticker as I was purchasing a gift and the cashier just haphazardly tore the sticker off the bottle and handed it to me. Yes, the price was no longer visible, however half the sticker was still on it and looking all torn. Not very presentable IMO. So yes, a great place to browse and shop, however just be aware of these two things.

Bottle Barn is an amazing place for wine, beer, and spirits. They have a large selection, which I love. Everything is very organized with labels so you can easily find what you are looking for. They have sections for things like Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon so it makes the whole process simple and easy. The staff are always really friendly and helpful. They often have both registers open so you don't have to wait in line, which I also love! They often have people offering samples so you can try out a beverage before buying it. The ambience is relaxed and inviting. They have great deals as well, which is the best part IMHO. All around amazing place that I'm grateful to have in Sonoma County.

Always loved this place. I would go more but it's totally out of my way to go there now. I still go if I need a speciality item. The prices are always low and the workers are always friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend Bottle Barn especially with the holidays coming up and all the crazy recipes or requests from guests you might get also bc they have great gifts too!

What a selection, if you can't find it here, you don't need it! Stoped in on a Saturday afternoon to find a bottle I had at a restaurant the night before. Was totally overwhelmed by how huge the place was, more bottles than you can imagine. Areas were well labeled and they had special features of wines that had won awards recently. Found just what we were looking for... and then some!

This barn like liquor store is a gem. Bottle barn is one stop shopping for all your liquor/wine needs. You can find hard to find items here or maybe you can place an order and they find it for you. They have tasting on certain days. Staff are knowledgeable and above all very kind and helpful. This is a must visit place whenever I am visiting Santa Rosa.

(10/03 /25 I was confronted this morning by (I think ) a employee - a short white male over recycliing empty beer bottles purchased from Bottle Barn in the previous 2 days plus a a small section of black plastic drain pipe from the street . Find a better business.

Ordered a bottle of highly-sought after whiskey just after Christmas, and they delivered from Santa Rosa down to LA County, just in time for NYE! Everything was packed and shipped extra carefully, but quickly. Looking at their inventory online, they have a high-quality selection, and their prices are extremely competitive, and I didn't think twice to pay for shipping.

Bottle barn is a warehouse of beers, wines, and spirits. They essentially have everything you are looking for and even have a separate refrigerated room for the high end wines (needa ask for help on that) The workers are super friendly and helpful and knows where everything is. The maps location is at the corner of the warehouse and has plenty of parking with the entrance near the front right hand corner of the building. If you missed your wine at a winery or didnt have time to visit this is the place to be!

Love coming in hear, the staff is always friendly and able to make suggestions on all different types of gifts you may be looking for. The place is clean and prices are good.

I'm disappointed today because of a tasting that offered only 1 tequila to try. But overall this is the best place to buy wine, spirits and beer. And the staff generally knows a lot about the beverages they're selling. I've often heard a story about a winery that's gotten excellent vino priced better because it's not designated under the strict laws of the country- it's just outside of the region with the same quality as the top of the area!! We call them sleepers in Football, stars or about to become stars under the radar per se. Great beer selection, unbelievable spirits selection! Same with the wine selection. Unparalleled in styles and regions to other stores!!

Go to Beer and wine headquarters in the Entire county, best prices Selection, assistance and a website! There's really nothing like them, north bay wide !

Tucked away in a warehouse type district they have a great selection. The service was hands on and went to great lengths to help me find something unique.

I come here probably much too often. Very clean and organized store. From what I know, there's other select liquors in the back and a special wine area to boot. Jonathan is always roaming the floor and a pleasure to talk with. He can help out with different suggestions depending on what you're looking for. Everyone has generally been friendly to talk with though. They also upgraded a lot of the shelving so there is even more alcohol on the shelves. They also have an events calendar with many vendors stopping through for tastings. I must admit I should take more advantage of that, but it's nice that there is opportunity to try some local producers in house. Definitely worthwhile to stop in, and they ship too though I've never needed to take advantage of that.

Talking with the owner of a winery I complained about the lack of a TW&M in Santa Rosa. She was quick to point out the Bottle Barn. OMG the BB is Disneyland for adults. In addition to a huge selection of just about everything you are looking for at, reasonable prices, there are tastings. Today the tasting was a vodka from Canada made from glacial water literally flowing under the distillery. The taste was pretty good, had a little bit to it, which I enjoy. Provincial, 7X Distilled, Charcoal Filtered, .75 about $20

Great variety from supermarket staples to exotic imports to niche local wines and spirits Pricing is reasonable and if you happen to get a hold of a staff member in person they are passionate and knowledgeable. It's a tad off putting they don't answer the phone anymore and we did not get a call back after leaving a message. The folks holding down the cash register are nice enough, but they appear like so many of us, locked in on their smart phones. The parking lot is easy to manage not too crowded. The location is a bit unconventional for retail but not too out of the way. Hours of operation are inline with a business park. If you haven't tried it I would. If you have you will probably good back there is some fun to be had in hoping for a good deal or gaining some newly shared knowledge

The prices are decent and WOW what a selection!!! For me being a whiskey drinking woman, it's nice to go in and a selection to share with my friends!!!

After consistently shopping at Total Wine and BevMo, figured I'd give this place a try. To say the least, I was underwhelmed at best. I asked about allocated bottles of bourbon, and the sales clerk was more interested in his buddy (coworker?) playing darts in the back area. This place has the hallmarks of the type of joint that hold their allocated bottles for their friends and staff, rather than putting them out for customers. At least the fellow customers were nice and engaged in pleasant conversation. Decent parking. Won't be back.

Good selection of drinks. I got some hard cider brands that I never heard of from other countries. The service was also patient when I double-checked a price.

Iconic wine AND spirits AND craft beer shop. Fun to browse if you are a wine, spirit or craft ipa geek like me. I suppose some could get advice here but it's not always available or desired.

I was searching online for tequila and I see these store in Santa Rosa. I have the bottle that I want so stop by over there and I see the bottle by see a guy watching me from the aisle make me feel uncomfortable and I decide to don't buy nothing from there. It's always another place I suggest people that working places like that approach to the customer don't watch it from long distance

Meh. Very large selection of wine. They sell some spirits as well. I wasn't overly impressed with their prices on mid-range wines. I would, however, encourage visitors who liked what they tasted at local wineries to look for their wines here to take home rather than purchasing at the vineyards and tasting rooms. They likely carry the commercially available varieties at a better price.

This is the best place to get alcohol in the area. Their selection is fantastic. They have a lot of local wine and wine from various regions globally, a large assortment of liquor, and enough beer to satisfy even the most picky shopper. Prices are the same or below other retailers as well. Beyond their inventory and pricing, the employees are friendly and willing to help. I often learn something new when I visit, or I get to try a new drink from one of the tastings they host.

Bottle Barn how do I love thee, let me count the ways! And while we're at it, where have you been all my life?? I've heard all about Bottle Barn from a friend of mine as she has utilized them for years. What she would do is email the business to ask if they could get various specialty scotches for her husband for his Christmas and birthday presents but I've never ventured into the place as I've never had a need to find any sort of alcohol that wasn't easily obtainable (unless, of course, you count stuff that you can only get at, oh lets say Jameson in Ireland) until recently. Now think of your favorite Game of Thrones (more commonly referred to as GOT) fan & how they would react or what they would think if they saw this bottle. For me, that would be my daughter who is a huge GOT fanatic, as am I, and somehow she found out that the Johnnie Walker label came out with a GOT inspired Limited Edition Blended Scotch Whisky referred to as White Walker. I checked out various stores in town including BevMo and no one had it or didn't know what I was talking about. I tried looking online and prices were $65 on up to hundreds and that did not include shipping. Then the old light bulb came on and I remembered Bottle Barn. So I quickly called to see if they carried the White Walker Scotch and was told yes that they had plenty. So I asked if one could be held for me until I could get there to pick it up (about 6 days) and was told no problem. When I came to pick up the bottle I was pleasantly surprised that all I had to do was say which bottle was being held for me and it was brought out from the office. Oh and the price was way better than online at a mere $27.99 for the bottle. Such a deal! And this made her Christmas! The selection at BB is large and there is a nice variety of so many different alcohols from wines to spirits to beers. The people that work here are friendly and informative. Parking lot is a private lot, not overly huge like going to a strip mall because this is not one of those, it's a warehouse. But it does the job. From my friends experience and now my own, I would recommend this place when searching high and low for those items you can't seem to find as well as your standard alcohols that you can purchase at most places as their pricing may surprise you. I know that this is going to be my new go-to place for different wines, spirits, beers and hard to find alcohols.

Always a fun visit, an outstanding variety of choices available, THE single source in Sonoma County to buy your wines if you're not at a winery to buy direct. I only wish hours were later during the week -- I can't make it by 6!

My go to source for wines and spirits in Sonoma County unless we are buying directly from the wine or spirit maker. They have every spirit imaginable and a wide selection of Sonoma County and international wines, especially from France. You have to know what you are looking for as there are not many people around to help you besides cashiers. Prices are very reasonable in our opinion. We are grateful they sell bottles from most of our favorite Southern Rhone producers in Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas which are 15 miles and 2 miles respectively from our house in the South of France. Since we can't be there right now, buying our favorite wines helps fill the void.

I've shopped here on a few occasions over the years. I'm big into whiskey though and always looking to find the allocated stuff. About a year ago when I was in and picking up a bottle I was talking to Jason and asking if or when they ever get anything especially allocated in. He straight up told me that, while they do get it in rarely, he lets the employees get first take at it.... What??? This morning they just had a release online for some of the very allocated bottles like weller 12, weller full proof, stagg, and EH taylor single barrel. I was refreshing the bottle barn app constantly to get access to it at the 9am release. It was gone before I was ever able to even access it, which was within 30 seconds of it appearing on the app. There's no way this happens without it being bots. This isn't the first time it's happened either with a highly anticipated release. This last part of my review is for the owners. The way you currently run your allocated whiskey selections gives us regular customers absolutely 0 incentive to be loyal to you. In fact, missing stuff like this due to bots online is an exact reason for me to not want to shop with you guys ever again. Take a note from places like Bitters and Bottles loyalty program and do something to keep your customers wanting to shop with you!

Loved that they also carry some niche natural wines! From Broc cellars in Berkeley, Las Jaras wines from Sebastopol, and Swick wines from Oregon- great selection! Also great selection of gin and tequila- great place to stop by if you're in the area.

Decent selection of whiskey, prices are a tad higher than BevMo but the service is awful. I could swear every employee either hates their life, or is pedantic and can't listen to anything you ask. At least at BevMo the employees will try to help you. 2 stars are for the selection, including having Heaven's Door in stock. Otherwise I will continue to shop at your competitor.

We've been shopping here for years which is why we bought cases of excellent Harvest Fair winning wines at a great value a few years back from them for my daughter's wedding. Used their on line ordering today for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised that the bottle of Irish Whiskey I wanted to buy as a gift was far cheaper at Bottle Barn than at the chain store in the Costco shopping center.

Always love visiting. The selection is great, but the music keeps me shopping. So nice to not listen to the top 40 hits like other stores in town. Keep on keepin on bottle barn! looking forward to doing my fourth of July shopping there!

Forget BevMo or Total Wines - cause Bottle Barn is better. They have so much variety, extremely reasonably priced - picked up what is a $70 bottle of tequila in Vegas for $40. Love it here. They have everything from local beer to veuve cliquot. Will definitely be back! Literally have zero complaints about the store. Employees were nice and helpful and so were some of the customers! Highly recommend stopping in and supporting a local business whether you're visiting the area or local!

This is my go to place for great local wine deals. I use the help of the very knowledgeable staff to help me pick new wines. They also have an extensive beer and liquor area. A+ in Santa Rosa!

Went to a winery up in Geyersville seeking out one of their wines. They unfortunately were out of stock, but recommended we go to Bottle Barn. Great suggestion! Bottle Barn was selling the wine for half the price the winery's own list price. They also had a fantastic selection of beers and liquor. Prices were very good too. Definitely recommend going there if you're in the area.

Bottle barn never disappoints. Not only do they have an amazing selection of wine but also spirits. I visit twice a year from Cincinnati and this is one of my first stops. Very good selection of Bourbon.

It's true they have an amazing selection of liquors and spirits and I would definitely buy from them again!! I had mine delivered and shipping was fast!! Killer selection of bottles at very good prices. I got good advice and help from the floor staff. It's a large warehouse that ain't fancy, but that suits me just fine.

We went here after the Sonoma harvest festival to purchase the wines that won medals at the festival. They had all the wines from the festival in a central location where we could easily pick them up. They work with us to ship them back to our home, very professional and courteous.
