Where to Eat in Nashville’s 12 South Neighborhood

"Whether you’re looking for a place to watch sports or just do brunch, Bottle Cap has you covered. Since opening in 2020, it’s become a local haunt, largely thanks to a weekday happy hour of cocktails, wines, and beers for $6 or less from 4 to 7 p.m. Add an order of loaded fries topped with buffalo chicken or carne asada. Earlier in the day Friday through Sunday, you’ll find cheeky brunch dishes like the Wake N Steak potato hash bowl and the Recovery Bowl with cheesy grits, a poached egg, and a braised short rib." - Kellie Walton, Alex Hendrickson

Visited Bottle Cap for a girls brunch on a Saturday around 1030 AM. I was unsure of the parking situation but found limited spots in the back of the Restaurant. I am not sure if this is available to customers or not but its where I ended up. There were 8 of us including myself, we were seated right away. At this time in the morning there was still ample seating with a very relaxed casual atmosphere. Since we were celebrating a birthday in our group, we ordered "Breakfast Shots". It felt like a very long time between the time we ordered the shots and when they arrived but there were 7 shots which probably took some time to make. The minute the waiter arrived with the shots a guest at the neighboring table threw her arm back and knocked the entire tray of shots out of the waiters hand all over two of our party. Absolutely not his fault but a huge inconvenience in and of itself. When he brought back the replacement shots, we placed our orders. While we waited for our food, the restaurant started to fill. All the tables were full and there was a lot of hustle and bustle, but still a comfortable casual atmosphere. This is when what we thought was live music came in and set up. It was not live music but a DJ who played club music. It was so loud we could not even have a conversation with each other at our table. For a Saturday brunch, I expected easy country or folk, it was legit club mixes. Instead of the mimosa feel in the afternoon, it was like we were closing out the bar at 2 AM. Now here we are watching all the other tables that came in after us get our food, our waiter was no where to be found. When he finally came over to apologize about the wait, we ask what was taking so long. We were told that they had run out of waffle mix for the Chicken and waffles, but that they were making some more. We ask if we could get our other food since we were all hungry and had waited over an hour already. Some of our food started to come out, delivered by a different waiter. Each of our items came with something missing. Pancakes with no syrup or butter. No silverware. And still no Chicken and Waffles. The waiter that wasn't ours helped up quite a bit. He told us that they were out of Chicken and Waffles and we might want to get with our server to choose something else. Our waiter still said that they were making more batter but by this time we were frustrated and hungry and ask to cancel the order. The food that we did get was just average bar food. The Wake and Steak was just Steak Ums with an Egg and peppers. It was greasy and just texturally weird. Pancakes were fine but nothing special. The French Fries were good, fresh cut but the toppings on the cheese fries again was just basic bar fare with little flavor. Overall, great club vibe but at 1030/11 AM on a Saturday with Mimosas, it just didn't work. Food was nothing to write home about and the service was lacking. I did appreciate the other waiter who helped us and that our server did offer us a discount on our meals. Wouldn't be back for Brunch but would try it again for a Late night Beer.

Very nice establishment, great service great food, and the atmosphere was exactly what I would expect from a bar like this. I had the buffalo chicken loaded fries and they came out very quick and were delicious, the blue cheese crumble on top was wonderful. I am not a drinker but their drink selection was very wide with a good number of specialty drinks. Overall an amazing bar and would recommend it to anyone looking to unwind in Nashville.

I cannot recommend anywhere in Nashville more than Bottle Cap! I came for brunch over Memorial Day 2024 with a group of friends, and it was truly one of the best brunch experiences I've ever had. This brunch experience was not only a highlight of our trip, but the brunch experience set a wonderfully positive tone for the rest of our day. We had the great fortune of working with Avery, Ellie, Natalie, and Rachel. They were all amazing and made us feel right at home. My friends and I had so much fun and felt such amazing energy the whole time we were there. The food and drinks are great, and most importantly the people are AMAZING! 100/10 recommend

Part of me does miss the restaurant that was here previous: Flipside(?). Bottle Cap has a pretty standard menu, bar food, sports TVs. Some drinks were fair price, some a bit insane, not a big deal. Closes early. Ranch was phenomenal, meal was fine, veggies did not feel totally fresh. Our server Brock was an absolute delight. In a city that somehow has consistent bad service, Brock shined through and made our night, maybe my whole trip. Thanks Brock I hope you succeed.

Love this place! The food is yummy. The vibe is chill, but festive. Would love to single out our amazing server, Ellie. She responded so cheerfully to our multiple requests. Put this stop on your list!

Pancakes were wonderful. Very large portions. My sister said it was the best bloody Mary she had drunk in the area. The chicken and waffles and the omelet were also very tasty. It is very loud so remember that if you have hearing aids.

So obviously Nashville is busy. And crazy. But this establishment has it down. They make it fun. Easy and not terrible to wait. Wait time was hardly anything. The staff was so friendly always smiled acted like they actually liked their jobs. 100% recommend. The food was amazing as well

Our visit to Bottle Cap in Nashville on a college football Saturday was an absolute blast. Situated in the heart of the very busy 12 South atmosphere, the place was teeming with enthusiastic football fans, and the atmosphere was electric with a DJ and TVs everywhere you turned. While we only ordered beer to drink, the mixed drink options looked promising, perfectly suiting the lively bar vibe. We decided to kick things off with mozzarella sticks as our appetizer, not expecting much due to the fact that the restaurant was more of a "sports bar", but to our surprise, they were nothing short of fantastic. Golden, crispy, and oozing with cheesy goodness, they were a delightful start to our meal. Our waiter was a standout in every sense. Incredibly cool vibes and attentive, he checked on us so frequently that it was impossible to keep count. Their service added to the overall positive experience, making us feel well taken care of. Without a doubt, we'll be returning to Bottle Cap. It's the perfect spot for a fun-filled game day experience, complete with great food, excellent service, and all the excitement of the famous 12 South neighborhood.

Yelp
4 stars for the service at the end. I liked that they were attentive to our complaints and made efforts to make it right. Food was okay. It looked like a popular spot to drink and people were having fun.

Yelp
Food is ok. Service has been awful both times. Our server came to get our drinks and never came back. We had to search for her to pay and leave. We even had to order through the bar bc she couldn't be found.

Yelp
Ordered the burger and wow so good!! Service was a little slow but there are lots of TVs and great music!

Yelp
Food is terrible and likely prepared via microwave. The drinks are not well done and watered down. This is where you go to wait for seating at a better place nearby.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is decent, it is one of the less busier restaurants in the area. You can get a bottle of champagne and OJ for about $25 which is a better deal than getting one mimosa for $8. There is a DJ on Saturdays which is fun. The service is not the greatest, pretty slow. It is street parking in this area which can get pretty busy on weekends.

Yelp
Bottle Cap 2403 12th Ave S Nashville, TN 37204 Aug. 13, 2023 Sunday -2:15 PM for lunch 2 Adults Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 4 stars Background - Another Business trip and hitting up another Diners, Drive In and Dives. Atmosphere - A sports bar with a good kitchen. White dominates the place with a touch of bea dboard. We sat at a high top table. The silverware and napkins are in "old" tin cans, and we had a fork and a napkin. Food Drink - The tap menu is divided in two, the major blah beers, and the other half craft beers which most seemed local. Blackhorse IPA by Blackhorse Brewery Lunch - After looking at the menu and what Guy ate on Triple D, those items were not talking to me. I went with the BC Burger. A little small but an excellent burger. I am craving one now. The sauce on the burger is what made it pop, they call theirs Snappy Sauce. Snap to it!! Service - The napkin and silverware was talked about in an Atmosphere. Hostess were great and waiter was helpful with the beer selection as the menu board was at a bad spot for us. He did disappear when we tried to finish up with the bill. Future - Yes please

Yelp
Giving it three stars because others enjoyed their food but the service and my particular food was not what it should have been. Our waitress started out great as she brought two pitchers of water to our table which was much appreciated due to the heat. Well twenty minutes pass and we hadn't seen out waitress again so one in our party called the restaurant to let them know we had been forgotten. Not long after our waitress appeared apologizing for having forgotten our table and let us know that her manager wouldn't let her forget about what happened. About five minutes later our alcoholic drinks arrived and not long after that our food was delivered. Several people in the party got Buffalo chicken wraps and said they were good. I got the loaded carne asada fries with guacamole and was disappointed. The carne asada tasted and looked like chili that I could have gotten from Wendy's. Just very disappointed in presentation and taste. It was edible and I was starving so I ate it but for the price and description of the food, I was really expecting more. The waitress did comp one of the Buffalo chicken wraps for the wait but we planned on paying separately so that was confusing to sort out. We ended up paying with one bill because the waitress seemed apprehensive about splitting the bill so we offered to help but decided it wasn't worth the time for us to do it. Ambiance was nice. They had the roller doors up so we had a nice breeze going.

Yelp
Great menu with great prices. Love the nachos! Service is quick and friendly. It's usually kinda loud in here due to the crowds but they also open up their windows which is nice! They only have 2 single bathrooms (1 men and 1 women) and I wish they were both unisex because I always get stuck waiting at least 5 minutes.

Yelp
Breakfast burrito was only ok. Bland and a little dry. No salsa. Fries were fine but nothing special. Service was very slow and the worker wasn't so nice. Would not go back.

Yelp
Great grub, no long waits, friendly servers, and who doesn't want their own bottle of bubbles (to share with my GF of course) for some mimosas.

Yelp
I'm a tourist and this was my second time in the area over a 4 day trip. The first time, all the food I had was phenomenal (buttermilk ranch, frothy monkey and five daughters), the second time around, visiting this place was disappointing. Attended Sunday at 5pm, restaurant isn't very busy. Many of the staffers look like college kids, which is fine but the food seemed like it was also prepared by college guys. I wanted the asada fries but they were out of the meat so I went for the nachos. I was surprised to learn the only meat you can add is breaded/fried chicken tenders - I opted out as I've had my share of tenders (Prince's and Hattie's) this trip. The nachos were a disappointment. The serving size is fine but c'mon...no veggies on it at all? No peppers, onions or olives in site. It was just cheese, cheese sauce, sour cream and a salsa that more looked like an enchilada sauce. The chips themselves are fried I think and so a tangy, acidic salsa would have been a nice addition to lighten the dish. I asked for pico or a real salsa but they had none. The bottom layer of nachos didn't even have any of the toppings. I would literally expect a 22 year old boy to make a better dish.

Yelp
Saw them on triple G, should have been on Restaurant Impossible. Robert Irvine would have gagged on and spit out the food. Worse food I've eaten since just before Flatiron closed. Obviously their business model is attractive staff sells alcohol to thirsty tourists.

Yelp
A fun atmosphere but service is not great. Very slow, staff standing around as our party of six (and only customers) waited for appetizers that we did not receive even after asking.

Yelp
I came by for brunch while visiting a friend in Nashville. They were very, very busy and it seemed like only 1 or 2 people were waiting tables. When the guy came to our table, I didn't even realize he was working there but he was super friendly. I got jalapeño poppers as an appetizer and they were ok. Cream cheese filled-I prefer cheddar. I can't remember what my meal was called but some kind of steak and hash. It had hardly any potatoes in it and wasn't well seasoned. That being said, the rest of the group really enjoyed their food! Midway through the meal, I ordered a second beer. It never came so I assumed it was forgotten about and didn't really care either way...until we all get our checks back (from paying) and here's the beer. I had to chug it to get out the door and wait a long time for the single bathroom. All in all it was an ok experience.

Yelp
Drinks were too sweet and watered down. Service was basic & the only thing I really liked was the pretzel bites appetizer.... Nice location but missing something!

Yelp
First experience at Bottle Cap and I can assure you that it will not be our last! Bottle Cap is a small but mighty local neighborhood eatery and sports bar that has been sitting in the heart of 12 South since fall of 2020! Per staff, they celebrated their 1st birthday in mid-November 2021! Before we get too far, I want to expound on "small"...it isn't small in the coffee shop or food stall kind of way, but it is smaller than your average sports bar, and while it isn't the largest in size it is laid out well with all the space being used expertly to ensure as many folks as possible can enjoy this spot on those busy game days! Bottle Cap is essentially just one big dining room with a good sized bar on one end and garage doors that open to 12th Avenue on the other...and in between those two things you have a healthy mix of booths and high-tops, neon signs, cartoon caricature portraits, Route 66 style artwork, sports memorabilia and 14 TV's! The TV to table ratio is here is the best I have ever seen as there are only about 22 tables in the place and again, 14 TV's! This makes this spot the perfect sports bar as there is no way you will miss the game you are after! Food wise they serve up a lot of sports bar classics from sandwiches, burgers, wraps, wings, nachos and salads. In addition though, you will also find things like chicken and waffles, cheesesteak and one of my favorites, loaded fries! They also have a small brunch menu on Friday - Sunday from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM - you will find waffles, pancakes, burritos, omelets and even steak and eggs on this menu! We decided on some good ole fried food to help us deal with the cold and rainy day! I opted for the Buffalo Chicken Loaded Fries and my partner got the (3) Tenders tossed in Lemon Pepper sided with fries. The Buffalo Chicken Fries were simple and perfect! The fries and chicken were fried perfectly and crispy, the blue cheese dressing and crumbles were perfectly portioned and scattered as to not overwhelm the dish and the buffalo sauce coated everything wonderfully! Keeping this same energy, the tenders were absolute perfection! First off, they were the LARGEST tenders I have ever seen. They were meaty, crispy and coated expertly in that delicious lemon pepper seasoning/sauce! They offer a full bar with all the staples of a good bar with a decent selection of beers, wine and spirits. They did work hard on the signature cocktail list as it features 10+ house drinks and they even have a few house shots if you are in the mood to really party...or celebrate your teams victory or ease their loss! Service was phenomenal from entry to exit. The host was super welcoming and got us sat immediately. He also made sure to wish us a good day on our way out. Our server was excellent, as she was friendly, efficient, attentive and helpful! There is not much outdoor space, but on those good weather days you can sit on the entry patio which has a few bar stools or right out front where they have a couple of picnic tables that sit directly on 12 South. Only things that were a miss for us was the parking and single use bathrooms. I get space is of the essence, but for a busy sports bar, single stall/use restrooms is a killer. There was someone waiting for the restroom at every moment of our visit. And I understand parking is limited in the 12 South area, but that doesn't mean I am not annoyed by it! lol Luckily, the experience and food made us forget about these two little things! Overall, Bottle Cap is a cool spot that I can definitely see being a solid neighborhood bar for locals near and far! We may not be living in the 12 South area, but this place is certainly going to be on heavy rotation for us!

Yelp
Great place to grab food and drinks and it's also next to plenty of restaurants, coffee, ice cream and bars. We stopped in for brunch and the service wasn't the greatest but they have a DJ on saturdays

Yelp
Bottle Cap is a laid back spot in 12 South, perfect for grabbing a drink with friends! I had an orange creamsicle fruit crush and it was absolutely delicious! It tasted exactly like an orange cream soda. They were out of half of the things we tried to order, including nachos and a beer. We settled on the Smokies in a Blanket and they were almost burnt. Next time I will stick with just drinks and have a snack before I go. Our waiter was super kind! There's plenty of street parking nearby.

Yelp
I do enjoy bottle cap. It's an awesome space and the food the first time I went was pretty decent. I'm not sure if I caught them on a bad day but I ordered chicken wings; they were criminally undercooked and also prepared with the wrong sauce. I also ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and to be honest it was very bland. I wouldn't order it again. Fries were soggy. I will come back, but it might be just for drinks.

Yelp
If you don't read any farther, this experience is summed up by, "We made a mistake. It sucks to be you." I strongly recommend that you avoid making plans with this restaurant. It takes a lot to get me to write a negative review. If you look at my profile, you'll see that hasn't happened much. This particular restaurant blew that threshold out of the water as this ranks as one of the biggest service failures I have ever experienced. As a bit of backstory, I own a service focused business, so I understand how challenging it can be to provide great service all of the time. In my view it isn't if you will make mistakes, it is what you do when you make them that distinguishes the best companies from the worst. In this case I was traveling as part of a large party to spend the holiday weekend with long term family friends from multiple states. Because we were staying in Nashville over New Year's Eve, we selected our VRBO entirely around our plan for a kid-friendly New Year's Eve celebration. Searching online, my wife found The Bottlecap was offering a family friendly DJ and food. That was perfect. We found a VRBO in walking distance, the kids and adults could dress up and dance, we could eat, the adults could drink, and we could have a great evening together. With that in mind we called to make a reservation. The tables cost $$ to reserve. That was fine. "Do we pay over the phone, or can we pay when we get there?", we asked. "Pay when you get here is fine", they said. There was even a follow up text from the restaurant the day before that confirmed the reservation and asked that we call as they had some questions. We called and re-confirmed that we could pay when we arrived. All good. Fast forward. It is New Years Eve night. Our reservation is at 8pm. Our kids have spent the past couple hours getting snazzy in sequins and now look like a fashion show. They are super excited. We make the short walk to the restaurant, arrive to a venue that is nearly empty. The DJ is setting up along one wall. The manager on duty walks over to tell us that because we didn't pay in advance they sold the tables they promised us. We can't stay as there are no tables left. She acknowledged they had made a mistake, but there was simply "nothing that could be done." With an empty restaurant behind her, she couldn't make space, she couldn't offer to let us eat while we tried to recover our plan for the night, she could do nothing. Despite the extreme disappointment we were feeling, my wife is a rock star when it comes to dealing with difficult situations gracefully. No voices were raised. No angry words were used. No names were called. She was persistent in trying to recover something from the situation, but the manager was unconcerned. Finally, we asked for the owner's contact information. The manager initially refused to give us this information. Then she said it was available on their website (it isn't). Finally, she agreed to write it down. After providing the contact information she told us we had to leave. "I need you to get out." The contact info she provided was false. So to sum it up we made a reservation. We confirmed the reservation the day before. We showed up on time. They made a mistake. They acknowledged they made the mistake. They had no plan. They didn't text us ahead of time, but let us show up unaware. They lied about the contact info. We had a party of dressed up and disappointed kids at 8:30pm on New Years Eve in a town we don't live in. It was too late to make alternative plans even if we knew what options existed. They clearly didn't care about any of that. In fact, as far as I can tell, the only thing the manager cared about was that we were not recording the conversation. When asked why she didn't text us to let us know there was an issue she replied, "I'm too busy to text you." Hopefully this will encourage you to find an alternative for your future plans. I suggest the 12 South Taproom. They helped us save what we could of our evening.

Yelp
Very loud. Had a dj at 11am. Waited for an over hour before we were told that they were out of batter for waffles & we needed to order something else. Waiter was nice but clearly overwhelmed.

Yelp
Me and my wife went here after seeing the head chef on multiple Food Network shows and looking up the menu. It seemed like it was in our wheelhouse as far as grabbing lunch goes. Fairly casual vibe in an interesting part of town. We got there on a Friday around 2:00. The waitress was prompt and polite and wasn't pushy. They were maybe 1/3 full. We ordered the jalapeno poppers and my wife went with the tenders and I ordered the chicken sandwich. The apps came in a reasonable time and we really liked them. There were a few smaller fry bits in the basket with the poppers but I get they are all fried in the same place and didn't really care. We were talking about coming back with our daughter actually. Then the chicken arrived and it was all down hill. The chicken was incredibly lightly breaded to the point it was hard to tell if it was breaded at all without really inspecting it. My wife said her's were dried out and had very little flavor. The fries were not at all crispy and had a pretty homogenous texture. When they talked about making them on TV, they said they were twice fried (which I prefer) but if they did that then they only did it at the lower temperature it seemed like. They had the same texture that fries get if you leave them steaming in a bag on the way home from a place that is farther than you want to drive for burgers. The fry bits that were accidentally included with the poppers were crispier actually. My sandwich was better, but marginally. The chicken was also kind of flavorless. The most prominent taste was from the tomato and pickle. I got the chips and they were fine. No complaints on those. At the end the waitress finally asked if we wanted a refill for the first time as we were getting the check which wasn't great either, but we didn't finish the main meal and got ice cream instead. All in all we might go back to see if it was an off day because it started well and there have been good reviews that are so out of step with our experience that it might have been a bad day, but there really just felt like there were issues with the execution on the day we were there and it was unfortunate that, if it was just a bad day, that it was on the day we went.

Yelp
#fatjared say...WORST brunch experience I have had in Nashville. DO NOT recommend coming here for brunch. I would give 1 star if I could. I have Very strict judging criteria for Yelp. To get 5 stars you must be PERFECT because 5 is the best you can receive. On the other hand, 0 stars is not an option. So a 1 star review from me means you did absolutely nothing right and I have nothing good to say. 1 stars do not come often, but in this case, I honestly wish I could give 1 star. Worst brunch experience I have had in Nashville. I'll start with literally the only good thing from this experience, and that was my order. I got the roasted pepper wrap and added chicken. Honestly amazing. I enjoyed the wrap, salad was tasty, just a good order overall. If it wasn't for this one bright spot, I would be saying nothing good. Now for the real reasons I would NEVER suggest coming here for brunch. The other food that was ordered was all bad. Just really bad. Jalapeño poppers deep fried were too breaded, came out piping hot, barely any filling, bad. The omelet, thin, undercooked, barely any cheese, nothing special. I have to have a whole paragraph for how bad the recovery bowl is. To start, the grist were the farthest thing from creamy, the egg was NOT poached when it came out, we had to ask for tomatoes, and they barely added anything to the meal, and it didn't come with any jalapeño bottle caps. So we order the bottle caps, and they come out literally frozen inside. SO BAD!!! Nightmare honestly. Laughable how poor it was. The service was awful, he barely cared about anything and was just talking not paying attention to us, the fan was WAY too powerful with the doors closed and we froze. I am running out of room it was so bad. This place may be good for drinks, but I can promise you if you go for brunch you'll be disappointed. Don't waste your time. I would give 1 star if I could, but I DO NOT SUGGEST COMING HERE!!

Yelp
Good and service was alright, no complaints. The issue came with the bill. My bill was $24.43 and I paid with a $30. The change I recieved back was only a $5 bill. When I asked about the remaining change, they said that they don't give change. This is literally stealing and should not be normalized. Crooks.

Yelp
Came here pretty early on a Friday for the bottomless mimosas deal. As you can see in the photo, they don't skimp on the champagne. They will bring you several rounds in quick succession if you're trying to beat the clock. This resulted in me being extremely day drunk very quickly. (Not a problem) I ordered the 3 pc chicken tenders thinking it would be a snack, and was surprised to see three GIANT tendies as well as some of the best fries I've ever had. Like a true Midwesterner, I dunked it all in ranch and it was exquisite. They were playing music videos from the 2000s on the tv, interesting jog done memory lane but some questionable music, as would be expected. This place has a cool enough vibe and good service. No complaints!

Yelp
This is a really fun place to do trivia and to hang out with friends. This establishment is owned by the same folks who own the chain venue, Tin Roof. - The menu is decent and has offerings for everyone. I would encourage you to come during their happy hour to really get your money's worth. - Service wise, people are consistent and they are diligent to ensure their customers are happy. - Management goes around occasionally to ensure the tables are content also. I have been here enough where I am happy to return and I think it is somewhere I can visit time and time again. - Parking can be tricky, but do know they have a small lot behind the restaurant if all else fails with street parking. - Picky eaters can find something on the menu they like. - The crowd mainly consists of college students to mid-30s.

Yelp
Fun to spend a Saturday brunch with good bar food, good music and drinks . I would recommend Bottle cap as a place you would go to watch a game or to have a party like environment. The DJ played great music. The atmosphere was live people were dancing mingling and having a good time. It's super loud so don't go an expect to have a meaningful conversation...lol. Even with all of the things that are going the service was great, very friendly staff and prompt service. I didn't order much but the pancake and bacon for my daughter - the one pancake was huge and tasty. I order the buffalo chicken fries - it's a must try. I ate every bite! They also have a great bottomless mimosa special, can't remember how many bottles we went through but I will say we had a great time, definitely a stop I try again!

Yelp
Not bad food, but not great! But what is great- their drink happy hour and friendly service. I would probably stick to the apps and get a full meal somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad its just typical sports bar food. If you're craving a nice greasy philly cheesesteak (which I ordered) then by all means, this is the place! It came on a hoagie with cheese and onions. The meat wasn't bad, just not very flavorful.

Yelp
Throwing in a couple of stars because service was great, I was seated immediately, my order was taken quickly and I was surprised of how fast my carne asada fries came out. And that's where this gets weird because the whole thing was cold. At first I thought the cream was what cooled down the top, but the meat was cold, and even fries from the bottom were cold and rancid. No idea how it was all so cold when it came out so fast, was it sitting for someone else? No clue. At least the girl working my table was super nice and they didn't charge me. I just left after that, didn't wanna chance it.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and haven't had a bad experience. The food is very good and the atmosphere is great when trying to watch football. One of the servers is nice but sometimes will feel like you are being helped often.

Yelp
Looks of good things to say about this place. Food and vibe was excellent! Our server was below par and we had to ask for all our order and refills.

Yelp
I'm from out of town, so perhaps this is normal here. Hence the "maybe" recommendation. But I got a +$2 "neat" charge on top of the $12 charge for a pour of bourbon. I was literally charged for the bartender pouring whiskey into a glass. This is just a bar/drink review as we will likely move on because of this charge. **Edit** After speaking with the waitress upon being seated, there is an up charge for neat and on the rocks. They add 0.5oz to the drink. I just wish I was made aware of this beforehand. The service and the food were fantastic!

Yelp
We enjoy coming here to drink and play trivia, but the food isn't my favorite. It's really nice when they have all the windows open!

Yelp
I ordered the chicken tenders tonight during trivia. Good news is they had $3 coors lite pints during happy hour, bad news is their chicken tenders are so inedible, I couldn't finish them. Thin little morsels cooked way too long so they are dried out and chewy. Fries were over salted where I couldn't even finish those! $14 for the worst chicken tenders I've ever had, hard pass. I'm wondering what the server is thinking because he recommended them to me. He looked a lot like Nicholas Cage's character in Raising Arizona so I knew I shouldn't have trusted anything he liked. 2 stars because of the happy hour. Next time I'll skip and hit embers happy hour.

Yelp
haven't had this bad of service in a while. I would love to say it was just the server, but I feel like the manager wasn't very helpful either when we went to her to rectify the situation. We paid (almost as much as the drinks) to upgrade the well alcohol for our Moscow mules, and the drinks ended up tasting pretty close to virgin. Now I'm not expecting this drink to be like three shots of vodka, but I do expect to at least taste the alcohol we paid so much to upgrade to. Of course - I didn't have super high hopes for this dining experience when it took us forever to flag down a waitress WHILE the restaurant was going through a slow period. Long story short, where we're from - when you are so unhappy with your drinks you request to return them, and then don't drink them, it's pretty common they'll be taken off your bill. Wasn't the case here. I left pretty unhappy with the bill and it was a bummer of the way to start out our evening. This was our first stop, so we definitely weren't too drunk to recognize they were skimping on the alcohol we paid so much to upgrade to. The manager ended up discounting the drinks, and still charged us a 20% service fee. Still bummed about this experience. At least the fried pickles were decent!

Yelp
Bottle cap is by far one of my favorite places to visit on 12th Ave. Welcoming, casual atmosphere that's great for family and friend get togethers! Pretty good prices as well! ~$10 a drink (half off during happy hour!) and ~$15 a meal. I always order the tenders because they're large and delicious! My favorite flavoring to have them tossed in is lemon pepper and my friends is the buffalo! This place can definitely get packed on the weekend and dinner hours, so make sure to check it out earlier to when it opens (3pm on weekdays) to get prime seating. Multiple tvs airing different games and even a Harry Potter movie when we were there! The space has large windows that they opened for us and that was really nice and made our experience even better! Only downside is that they forgot to give me loaded fries instead of regular ones, but they had no issues taking it off my tab! And both drinks and food came out relatively quickly. Pro tip: the side streets in this area have free Peking available and I have never had an issue finding a spot even at peak hours!

Yelp
Guys, Seriously !!!!! the worse experience in Nashville! Not great service, our complain about the most awful Moscow mule ever was basically ignored! P.S. Have to say that fried pickles are really good so I'll add extra star!

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and the staff was really friendly! The burger was good, but nothing super special. The side salad was actually really fresh and crisp. The special listed actually wasn't true and there was limited drink options, but the mixed drink was good. The main issue is that service was a little slow, but otherwise solid sports bar.

Yelp
In Nashville, it ok for a burger and basic comfort food. To be honest, they have a DJ type music thing going on in this place that is unbearable on the volume. Forget about having a conversation with someone here. This place was featured on Triple D with Guy Fieri, but like I have seen in the past, doesn't always live up to the hype. You would be better off at the Elliston Soda Shoppe for a better experience in my opinion.

Yelp
We stopped into Bottle Cap on a Saturday night without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately. The place is pretty loud, so don't go if you are looking for an intimate, cozy little spot for dinner. But with a name like Bottle Cap, you expect a fun, active place. Beer menu--for a place named Bottle Cap, you would expect a better beer menu. Eh. The wine that I requested was also not available that night. I get it. Lots of stuff is missing these days. I wanted to order an item in the "Mains" section of the menu but was told that the restaurant was no longer offering the "Mains." Ok. Turkey Club for me. It was fine. I would say that the service was far better than the food. Our server was very attentive, quick to bring us drinks and was friendly. We will try Bottle Cap again.

Yelp
Don't expect upscale dining experience. It's bar food, but amazing if that's what you are looking for. It's a great hangout spot; very well priced; good service; music and a big ass fan that's great in the summer.

Yelp
We had the best experience at this place killing some time before catching our flight out. Service was absolutely amazing. Food was delish. Shout out to Tag and Carson for the excellent hospitality!

Yelp
A great neighborhood hangout. The bartenders are great and such a friendly wait staff. The food was good and drinks were on-point.

Yelp
Came here with my sibling who has been here a few times. We were nervous about trying to get in somewhere on 12 South at 7pm on a Friday night. However, we didn't have an issue getting a table or service immediately! It took a while for our food to arrive, but we didn't mind since we were catching up and chatting. It has limited parking in the area, so expect to walk a little to get to the restaurant area. The atmosphere was fun and lively. It definitely gives more of a bar vibe over a restaurant (hence the name), so on Friday night is was pretty loud. Our server was Easton, and he gave great service! Right after we got settled at our table, he walked over with waters and greeted us. He continued to check in on us and make sure we had a great time. I appreciated how he checked in enough times that we were taken care of but not too much as to rush the customer. We both got the BC burger, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience, and I cannot wait to go back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
My new favorite spot in Nashville. It's always a hit. I love the environment- it's so fun, laid back, the perfect place to watch a ball game and get some good food. The lemon pepper wings are my favorite, plus the fries are super good too. Their Moscow mule is the best in town too!

Yelp
Just stopped in for a drink between dinner and a show at zanies. Our server(maybe name Scott) was really nice and amusing. Party of 6 had a round of drinks that were reasonably priced.

Yelp
First let me say the manager Natalie is THE BEST! Always takes great care of her customers. Great food and drinks. Awesome staff! Highly recommend Great hang out spot. Great location as well.

Yelp
The drinks. Mouth watering. The food. Good but only if you get the right thing. Some items I genuinely wouldn't recommend but my all time favorite is the turkey club. When I took my first bite it's like I grew wings and soared across the Atlantic Ocean. And do not get me started on the orange Moscow Mule that was another unholy experience. Overall the service is good and so is the ambiance.
