"Bottled Blonde, an embattled River North restaurant and bar, will stay closed following a Cook County judge's ruling. The restaurant's business license was revoked after police shut it down, citing repeated violations and neighborhood complaints. Bottled Blonde, which presented itself as an Italian restaurant but operated more like a nightclub, had a reputation for causing disturbances in the area. Neighbors have been pressing for its closure since it opened in 2015. The judge denied the request for an emergency stay, which means it remains closed at 504 N. Wells Street. Bottled Blonde is owned by Evening Entertainment Group, which also operates locations in Arizona and Texas." - Ashok Selvam

That’s because a judge could rule that the barstaurant’s alleged overcrowding on New Year’s Eve could violate his “short leash” mandate for the embattled establishment that’s fighting the city to keep its liquor license, Block Club reports. The city is attempting to level the bar — which has brought constant complaints from neighbors since before it even opened — with allegations of new violations of 'nuisance behavior' such as more public urination and vomiting, the Sun-Times reports.
