"The small but enchanting Madrona patio at Bottlehouse, one of the city’s top wine bars, is a charming area to relax with a glass of rosé — frozen, if the weather is warm enough — and a cheese plate. The service is always welcoming and it’s rarely hard to get a table." - Harry Cheadle
"Bottlehouse is one of our favorite places to sip wine and snack on cheesemonger-curated charcuterie boards. Now we all have the option to do that in gross weather, too. Their covered garden deck is wallpapered with rain-resistant plastic on three sides, with ample room for outdoor ventilation and strategically-placed space heaters." - aimee rizzo
"Drinking at Bottlehouse is the upgraded version of sitting on the couch in pajamas swilling some Yellowtail Moscato from the bottle. This place is a renovated home, porch, garden patio, and all, which makes it really perfect for summertime wine drinking—but equally great in the winter, when you can hang out in the living-room-like interior. The wines by the glass are pretty diverse, and most of the cocktails also include some kind of wine (get the frozen one). There are cheesemongers who can pair cheese and charcuterie with whatever you want to drink, too. Even if you only get a baguette with chèvre and salted ganache, it’s going to be a good time." - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente
"You originally intended to do girls’ night in, but the friend who was supposed to host is in a fight with her passive aggressive roommate over dishwasher duty. Come to Bottlehouse. It’s a wine bar and shop in a renovated home, so it’s easy to get comfortable spending some quality time with a few bottles and a meal’s worth of nuts, cheese, cured meats, and baguette sandwiches. And there’s a 99% chance no one will notice that you’re wearing slippers." - aimee rizzo
