A Running List of New Restaurants That Opened in Nashville, 2021 | Eater Nashville

"Tucked into the Urban Cowboy parlor, this by-the-bottle-only wine bar curates a rotating selection of natural and sustainable wines priced at $25 and $45 (with a few higher-end bottles), positioning itself as a niche, bottle-focused wine experience." - Delia Jo Ramsey

Google
Amazing wine and spirits selection and knowledgeable staff that can help you to determine what you’re looking for if you don’t know much about wines or don’t know exactly what to buy.

Google
Purchased a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (Pouilly-Fumé) from this shop, and the wine turned out to be tainted and dangerous to drink. I returned the untouched bottle along with the moldy cork, but the staff refused to exchange it, incorrectly claiming that it was against state law to do so. Given that there are other reviews like this, I can assume the shop has issues not only with unprofessional staff but also with how they store their bottles. Highly recommend avoiding this wine shop at all costs.

I just moved to Murray hill last night. I am still in the process of unpacking and desperately needed some wine. The owner took my order -- called with recommendations. Went above and beyond to make me feel welcome to the hood !!!! This is my new favorite place. The delivery was incredibly fast and ever-so-friendly to boot!!!!! 5 enthusiastic stars. Plus !!!

Bought a 375ml of Frank Family Cabernet. They were very friendly in store. Called later because I was unsure of price and resolved question right away. Will be back to this wine shop under new management, very good selection.

Google
Nice selection, but the no AC keeps the wine too warm and if not comfortable to shop. Unfortunately it’s relevant and can be fixed.

Google
Great customer service and friendly staff. I went on a Wed evening and left educated and with good selections

Google
Beware of high noons that are not refrigerated. Bought a case and it was infested with bugs. So truly disgusting.

Google
Great wine, great service, and even great local delivery!

Yelp
Awesome spot in Murray Hill - cute wine store with a good selection but the staff is so knowledgeable and helpful in getting you great wines. I came in here once with notes of what I liked and the worker helped me find many different choices and took the time to explain them all to me. Definitely my go-to spot when I need a new bottle!

Jon G.

Yelp
Perfect neighborhood spot with friendly expert advice on choosing wine. One of the best wine store experiences I've had.

Yelp
I just moved to Murray Hill -- in fact still in the process of unpacking -- of course I needed some wine. I reached out to this amazing new favorite store. They were beyond accommodating. Helpful. They really made me feel welcome to my new hood-making great suggestions ! I can't wait to visit in person this weekend. 5 enthusiastic stars. Delivery was exceptional to boot !!!!!!! Fast. Friendly. Can't be happier.

Yelp
It's true: girls just wanna have wine Love Bottlenose Wine Company. Super friendly, knowledgeable staff with a great selection of wines- all very reasonably priced. My go-to wine shop that is, quite frankly, really hard to top. Cheers

Yelp
A true hidden gem in Murray Hill. A well curated selection of wines and spirits that you won't find anywhere in the city managed by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you don't know what to get, ask them and they will help you find what you are looking for without being intrusive or try to sell you at all cost.

Yelp
This was a great place to make a quick wine purchase. The salesclerk could immediately point me to what I was looking for.

Yelp
*Review is for online ordering + customer service via phone** would not recommend purchasing anything from this store and especially via website. I wanted to send a friend a bottle of sparkling for her birthday and encountered multiple issues when doing so: 1. Order placed online was never received / viewed by the store for fulfillment 2. When I called the store the next day to check in on progress, my item was no longer in stock and I had not been updated 3. When I tried to place another order, I was told the system was down - but only when I called the store. 4. After various attempts for unfulfilled purchases from my end, my cc end up declining the purchase On top of this, the customer service I received when I called the store was rude and impatient. The store might've even hung up on me? TLDR : terrible online experience + bad customer service = no future return visits

Yelp
I've been going to this wine store for a while now and it is wonderful. Neighborly feel and they will with you wine selections any way they can.

Yelp
Great neighborhood wine shop. Nice people who are very helpful. We have been going regularly for over a year and they always have something interesting for us to try.

Yelp
in from out of town -- really lovely people selling decent wine at a decent price point

Yelp
Yay, I *am* a fan! As a very frequent visitor to NYC, I am used to sucking up some really out of this world pricing. So, I was extremely pleasantly surprised by the nice selection of wines, the knowledgeable guidance of the staff, and the wide range of pricing making it easy to pick between a special splurge and a wine for any random Wednesday night dinner at home. Bottlenose is an easy, unpretentious little shop with a decent selection and accessible price tags.

Yelp
Very poor selection of wines. Not very stocked on hard liquors and they won't order anything for you.

Yelp
I stopped into this new wine shop on second ave by chance to pick up a bottle of wine as a going away present for a friend, and I was just so impressed with this store, the staff and the selection. The store is very quaint, warm and welcoming. The manager was very helpful and friendly, and guided me to a great sounding Australian red that was right in my price range. I don't know a lot about wine, so having him describe things in a way that was totally accessible went a long way. Boyfriend actually ended up purchasing three bottles of his own based on the manager's well informed recommendations, and so far, they've all been spot on. Great selection of affordable wines, plus pricier options for special occasions. Also, they have booze. Some college girls came in and bought like three handles of vodka while we were there. It was pretty funny. They seemed out of place in the fairly upscale establishment, but the staff remained utterly professional. Bottlenose is a class act.

Yelp
Nice selection of wines. They also allow wine tastings I noticed the last time I came 'round to purchase some whiskey. They have a good selection of both Scottish and Irish whiskies along with Vodka and other 'essentials.' The store staff is helpful and their prices are not over-the-top given their selection. They are easily located for the residential community which is between 1st Avenue/East River and 3rd ave/Lexington area's of Murray Hill.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of picking up a case of wine here for a recent event (I promise, I promise- it was for others to drink!) Despite my lack of wine-cred, Chris helped me in packaging a tasty assortment of reds and whites. Prices are comparable to Sussex, but both shops have an equally impressive selection.

Yelp
First time in and I like this wine shop a lot. Great selection and the guy I spoke with knew what he was talking about. I will come back when I have time to explore.

Yelp
I love these folks. They are very welcoming and the staff is quite charming. Definitely, a neighborhood feel in Murray Hill, which is much appreciated. Wine tastings offered often. Always a friendly greeting. Great place. Connie ~

Yelp
Came here to get some wine for a party, the guy behind the counter was really eager to help and ended up helping us pick out a couple of bottles of wine. The place seems a little pricey but I think that the selection of wines that they have in stock are phenomenal. Also, they have hard alcohol behind the counter, from medium bottle sizes to very large ones. Definiely a smaller place than most other places that sell alcohol, but its worth stopping by. Especially if you are having a party. They also have chilled wines incase you need it to be served quickly.

Yelp
Cute little wine shop on 2nd avenue. There's definitely not a huge selection, and the vast majority of bottles are $13-15+, so keep this in mind in case you are looking for many options in the under $10 range. There's about 10 shelves for the different regions, plus some racks in the middle of the floor. For each region (Italy, Spain, South Africa, California, Washington, etc.) they carry anywhere from 5-10 different wines. That's plenty of variety for me, but again, definitely one of the smaller wine shops you will come across. Regardless, Bottlenose meets my requirements just fine.

Yelp
Awesome little wine shop that has chosen to keep a more modest inventory of only quality wines. The decor is clean and trendy, as is the clientele. I agree with the other reviewers about the awesome staff. The manager, Chris, is extremely knowledgeable but also chill and approachable and offers great suggestions, even if you aren't sure what you want. Everything he had suggested for me has been delicious. They also constantly switch out inventory, so there's always something new. There is a wide variety of prices, so it isn't exclusively upscale.

Yelp
2 stars for selection and pricing, but the service is bad. Really bad. Don't ever use the app. I frequently place orders via their store's own app, and at least half of the time, I wait 1hr+ and it never arrives and I have to call. When I do, they always say they have not seen the order until that moment. It's very annoying. I decided to try again tonight after a few months not shopping there, and of course, the same thing happened. When I called, the manager sounded very stressed out, and said he was there on his own and had nobody to deliver. That's fine, but just reject the order when I place it if that's the case - don't leave me hanging for an hour. He also accused me of lying and said I only placed the order 4 mins ago, but I have the email and text showing it was 64 minutes ago. I don't get why you'd lie about that, but he was so mean and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I just wanted to support a local business and enjoy some drinks, but I'm over being yelled at, so I'm (reluctantly) taking my custom back to the big greedy booze apps instead.

Yelp
RUDE staff who seem much more interested in socializing with each other than helping their customers (seems like another reviewer had a similar bad experience), not a great selection, and ridiculous prices for the quality they offer. There are so many other awesome wine stores within a few blocks with kind staff and a better selection, so not sure why this place has so much attitude.

Yelp
Great wine store with good selection of affordable and high end spirits and wines. Stuff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Love this place!!!!

Yelp
Stumbled across this small boutique wine store today. Was impressed by the limited, yet selected collection of wines from various regions. Chose a reasonably priced wine to enjoy with dinner. Unfortunately, when I got home to check what other stores in the city weree charging, I was baffled. This store charged $25.00. Other stores in Manhattan were....$12.99. Essentially a %100 markup compared to the next highest price. That is hugely excessive. I understand an establishment needs to make some profit and I understand the concept of a premium for personalized serivce. But this place was not worth it. Please find another wine store that won't gouge your wallet.

Yelp
Over priced. Move to the city first wine shop I came by. Then realized there was one down the street cheaper. There prices are inflated by a lot. 3 stars are do the staff. They are all very nice. One time I said I was paying with cash then I realized I was 88cents short and they said not to worry. I have them a toonie. Which in canada is a 2$ coin

Yelp
The staff are always spot-on with their recommendations and have introduced me to a nice variety of wines. They are always friendly and extremely helpful with helping me hone my wine palate. One time I told them I was going to be home, curled up with a book and asked them to recommend a wine...I got a shiraz. They are awesome.

Yelp
Really nice little wine shop around the corner from my girlfriends apartment we have been going to. As others have stated they keep a smaller selection of wine but of higher quality. They have a $21 chianti I have cone to adore and gave also recently joined their wine club where they track my purchases in case I forget ;) Knowledgable and very friendly staff, no snobbery at all. It is my new go-to on 2nd ave in the 30's

Yelp
I love this place! They have a great selection with a knowledgeable staff and free local delivery! Once they were out of stock of my favorite Sancerre, but called me the very next day to let me know they got it in and were holding two bottles for me. I highly recommend Bottlenose. They even have a rewards card that gives you $10 off after every $300 spent.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are not from New York and were looking for a place to buy a bottle of inexpensive but good wine as a gift. We walked in and the service and selection was wonderful! Brady was a huge help and extremely friendly and laid back. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of a bottle or two of wine. They sold liquor as well on the back wall. It's a great little hidden treasure of New York!

Yelp
I really enjoy going to this wine store. What distinguishes this shop over the others in the area is the staff - they are extremely friendly and approachable. Sure there are larger faceless wine stores around the neighborhood - but for me the existing selection is more than sufficient. Murray Hill needs more businesses like this.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Bottlenose a few weeks ago while on my way back to my office from an appointment. I'd been passively on the hunt for some gifts for clients and was so pleasantly surprised by their ecclectic selection that I decided to start my holiday shopping early. I picked up a few bottles for my clients and a few for an upcoming holiday party at my apartment. The guy who helped me out really knew his stuff and was quick with really good suggestions. Also- the layout of the space is really refreshing. I find most wine shops to be overflowing with so much merchandise that shopping can be both confusing and claustrophobic. Bottlenose has chosen their concise selection very wisely and makes excellent use of their small space. In addition to wine, they also carry a nice sampling of liquor behind the counter. Bottlenose is a very welcome addition to an otherwise generic and uninspired wine landscape.
