Downtown Wine Bar Anchor BottleRock Floats Away in South Park - Eater LA

"BottleRock, a wine bar in South Park, Downtown, has closed. Opened in 2009 as a second location to the Culver City original, it was known for its drinks-focused menu. Despite an influx of new nearby restaurants, the area has been challenging for business due to ongoing construction of condominium buildings." - Farley Elliott

Great Happy Hour 3-7pm daily. Excellent selection of wines only $5. Love the cheese plate and how they serve the H2O in glass bottle. Great service. Visting my daughter from out of state. Walking distance to her home. This could be trouble....!!!

the wine selection is excellent, and quirky and personal in a good way. last night when we went the place was full, freezing cold and unbearably noisey. the servers are knowledgable, but strangely vague in their attentiveness. small bites are pleasant, including some yummy grilled sandwiches, but are expensive for what you get, and not really a full meal.

Love this wine bar. They have a really nice selection of wines and flights. Awesome spot for a date and for a wine tasting with friends. If you are a wine nerd like me, you will like it.

What a refreshing experience! So here I am, out of ‘Towner’ (OC) Friday afternoon, 6:30 p.m. also known as ‘traffic thirty’ by any one who’s been in So Ca. at least one week…..looking forward (not) to a 49 mile drive (read: drag) back to the Casa…..well maybe not…..decided to ‘take 5’, have a glass of wine etc. a bite and spend my time watching the ‘locals’ vs. the 2 to 15 mph, bumper to bumper drive/drag home. Luck often comes at unexpected times. This was one of those times. I walked the area and decided to perch on a stool at the bar (solo seat for the end of the day) at Bottle Rock on Main in Culver City. What an unexpectedly pleasant experience. No ‘staff’ drama only an odviouse and successful effort by the staff to make the customer #1….once again a rare treat. A lovely hostess that is willing to wipe down tables in those rare stolen moments of what other people may call a ‘break’ A Cook that shows obvious passion for what he does and the patrons he serves. A manger that is interested and attentive to every one that walks in the door, and more. Highly recommended for new’bies’ as well as other discriminating patrons…..A true and rare view at what make a business successful….no secret to those who are fortunate enough to find one of those ‘places’ Bottle Rock is, in my humble opinion, one of those places. HIGHLY RECOMNDED. TWO THUMBS UP, WAY UP.

This place serves the best burgers in a bar. I love the fact that they also have cold beers and fine tasting drinks. I really love this place and I am going back here with my friends.
