What a refreshing experience! So here I am, out of ‘Towner’ (OC) Friday afternoon, 6:30 p.m. also known as ‘traffic thirty’ by any one who’s been in So Ca. at least one week…..looking forward (not) to a 49 mile drive (read: drag) back to the Casa…..well maybe not…..decided to ‘take 5’, have a glass of wine etc. a bite and spend my time watching the ‘locals’ vs. the 2 to 15 mph, bumper to bumper drive/drag home.
Luck often comes at unexpected times. This was one of those times. I walked the area and decided to perch on a stool at the bar (solo seat for the end of the day) at Bottle Rock on Main in Culver City.
What an unexpectedly pleasant experience. No ‘staff’ drama only an odviouse and successful effort by the staff to make the customer #1….once again a rare treat.
A lovely hostess that is willing to wipe down tables in those rare stolen moments of what other people may call a ‘break’
A Cook that shows obvious passion for what he does and the patrons he serves.
A manger that is interested and attentive to every one that walks in the door, and more.
Highly recommended for new’bies’ as well as other discriminating patrons…..A true and rare view at what make a business successful….no secret to those who are fortunate enough to find one of those ‘places’ Bottle Rock is, in my humble opinion, one of those places.
HIGHLY RECOMNDED. TWO THUMBS UP, WAY UP.
