Bottoms Up

I was having a great time until I tried to close my tab at the bar. The bartender that I was getting drinks through all evening told me that my tab had already been closed and my card was missing. I ordered three drinks, but they told me my tab was closed after two. They showed me a receipt that showed only two drinks, but when I looked in my account after I left I was charged for the third one separately. Very weird. Also, the bartender I spoke to told me that it had to be the other bartender that closed my tab but when I tried to get his attention he ignored me. Something fishy is going on and I won’t be giving them my patronage anymore. Update: The owner seems to have missed the part where I said my card was missing. My tab was closed without my knowledge. The reason I mentioned getting charged for the drinks is because it was weird how the bartender showed me a receipt for two drinks when my tab was closed but a separate third charge was on my account. I don’t mind paying for what I bought. I do mind you guys mishandling my property. How was my card ran again? Who did you guys give my card to? Is it still on the premises? I had to cancel my card. That is the issue. Please don’t try and paint a different picture than what actually happened. You guys lost my card and closed my tab without my knowledge.

This place wasn’t very friendly. The security guards were beyond rude and no manners whatsoever. Apparently it was a private event so we weren’t allowed to enter. If a sign was put in place most customers would’ve known so they know not to waste their time trying to enter this establishment. Honestly the owner/manager should consider getting new security guards to have a better reflection on their establishment.

Not a great experience here, it was Thursday so it was packed with underage kids and older folks alike. Lots of grabbing going on. Response to the snarky comment below from the owner: When you as a bar overpack the amount of people inside to make as much money as possible, there is no way for people to report an event. Not only could I not locate any security other than the the ones at the entrance too busy to stop or be bothered, but by the time I could squeeze by everyone to find a staff member the people causing issues are no where to be found. The issue was not that it was 18+ on Thursday- you let too many people in on that night to line your pockets.

Pricerite is a good super market that anyone could shop whatever they want. Very nice place 👌.

One of the best party bar/nightclubs I’ve been to in a while. The DJ lineup is always great and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you go here find a male bartender named Dean, he knows his drinks. He cranks out drinks faster than you can blink and with ease. Thursday nights are the best here cause of the patio being open and the environment which gets changed nightly! Owner Tim was also super nice!

They don't search at the door. Who knows what people bring with them to the club. Dangerous

I would highly recommend Bottoms Up to anyone who’s looking for a fun night out. The bartenders work fast, know what they’re doing, and are very friendly. The DJs are awesome, great owners, and the security are always on top of any issues if any are to happen at all. Bottoms Up is known for their specialty fishbowls and have very reasonably priced drinks! If I were you I would definitely check this place out, if you haven’t already! The inside has a great atmosphere along with a heated patio bar with a separate DJ

The worst club experience of my life. Terribly managed. It was so crowded people trying to get out from the back literally could not move, and then when the bouncer tried to get past and obviously couldn't he started elbowing people aggressively and screaming at people to move. Hmmm, it's a little hard to do that when your business lets in far too many people. He should be fired. You don't get to assault people because your business is poorly managed. If you want a good time don't go here. I will never go back. There is a reason it has the worst rating of any club in Buffalo

I've been going to bottoms for over 10 years. It's my favorite spot. Best dj and great bartenders. My time is unfortunately coming up as I'm aging out at 30. But those last 10 years were the best time of my life. I wouldn't trade them for anything. I recommend that club to anyone.

Nice place. We went on a Friday night and I guess we showed up way too early because there was no one there, but it was also still daylight in July. Like 8pm... drinks were good no problems.

Has potential to be a good spot. Get a different dj honestly. Idk how DJ Exposure gets to play there 24/7. Bro can't read the room or play a danceable beat. Dj needs to expose himself to some real music and dj-ing 101.

Get rid of DJ exposure, he's trash. I don't know how you don't see the crowd is dead and listening to radio station music with a bass AINT DJing

Poor business establishment. For young 21-24yr olds. Anyone with half a brain will not like it here. Security is atrocious. Vibes are shady if your not in the "clique" of the guardS.

If I could give a multiple negative stars I would. Was exiting the place when people started fighting outside. Happen to be in the crowd exiting and get sucker punched by the security guard when I'm not even involved with the fighting. Then see people in middle of the road scuffling and I try to help separate and then a different security guard walks out into the middle of the street not being attacked and I get punched for a second time. At this point I get up and yell at security that I'm not even in the fight. "Cops" show up and won't even take statements. Owner,his establishment and the security he hires need to be taken out of this city definitely not a good look. The cleanliness of the place too my god don't even know how they pass inspections especially selling alcohol to minors. If that's not enough red flags for someone to not go here you might as well call your self Stevie Wonder.

If you want to go to a bar in Buffalo, go literally anywhere else and you will have a better time. Lousy drinks and beer, lousy service.

Embarrassing. If you like drinking with 16 and 17 year olds this is the place for you. Cringy music mixed with a cringy crowd. Any pair of shoes you wear into this trash heap will be ruined for good. Grimy and disgusting but not in a good or charming way. When you are leaving try not to get jumped on the cesspool that is Chippewa street.

Best place for College party on Thursday nights. Good DJ and one of the places in buffalo that sells fish bowls. 4 stars because their securities aren't good.

Amazing music and great staff. Very good for a night out with friends. Reasonable drinks.. only place in Buffalo you can have the opportunity to drink out of a fishbowl! Can't wait to come back!

straight up ghetto . The line was u organized and chaotic and the shitty ass security could care less about the safety of the guest/customers . Wouldn't recommended to anyone who wants to have a stress free night of fun .

I'm live in Texas and wanted a Buffalo night experience of fun. My friends and I were standing outside of this club for 30-45mins in the cold. We were told that we'd be the next up, but instead they let 15 "workers" go in before any of there customers. So basically more workers in the club than paying customers. I was willing to pay at least $260 on drinks for my friends and I, but apparently they were not interested. After another 15mins outside, the same bouncer then said that they were no longer letting people in for the rest of the night. He then insisted since it was 3 of us, that we go to 67 West, the club next door thats $20 a head. Worst Buffalo experience EVER!!! And in my opinion Bottoms Up is not even worth it!! I went there for an event with a couple of my close friends. I completely understand that covid guidelines are much stricter than normal procedures. Despite this, throughout the event me as well as my companions were constantly screamed at and given rude gestures. We did the best we could to follow the protocols going along with covid but they rudely demanded things from us.

Perfect spot for a Saturday night out! Variety of drink choices such as different fishbowls! Super fun, great music, friendly bartenders!

Ok so this wasn't apart of the food tour but I wanted to write a review bc I had a great time with the college kids here. It took me back to my college days. Cheap drinks, loud music & fun dancing on slippery floors lmao. That sounds terrible but it really was a good time. I went on a Thursday which was actually college night, so I'm unsure what the other nights look like. They also have an outdoor covered patio in the back.

For any event requiring an admissions fee DO NOT pay in large bills. I payed for a $15 entry with a $50 bill and trusted the correct change was given. After checking my wallet(I'll admit my mistake) 10 minutes later and found I was only given $5 in singles. The bouncer assumed I handed him a $20. Understandable mistake I would imagine he is handed hundreds of $20s a night. However when I came up to him to ask for my correct change I was instantly called a liar. He even threatened to check the cameras to prove I gave him a $20, and yet when I said "go ahead and do it" the security and himself were reluctant and refused to do so. They then threatened to call the cops if I didn't leave in which I said "please do" because maybe they would of actually checked the cameras. As I got angrier for being written off as some kind of liar I said enough profanity to get kicked out. Not a place I will be back for.

We used to go here when we were younger and thought this was the spot to be. Looking back this place was an absolute disaster and I think I spent more time outside than in. Overpriced drinks, terrible DJs playing worse music, extremely long wait at the bar for drinks.

This bar is amazing they have $20 fish bowls that are so good, you should def visit often Even if ur visiting like me!

SHITTY ASS DJ! Didn't play any of the songs requested, refused to take any requests, shitty playlist, didn't know any new popular songs. none of the crowd was having fun from what i seen. overpriced to get in.

This is our favorite place to do da dansing & drinking! As students, we need our outlet to blow off some steam, right? Bottoms Up is probably the bar that plays the best music. It's a mixture of EDM, some hip hop, and top 40's. The dancefloor is pretty small and it gets crowded really fast so be prepared. They have fish bowls here with different mixtures of flavors and alcoholic beverages. It's good for about 5-6 drinks, so it's great to share with friends. Or if you reeeally had a bad night... just go with it solo. HAHA Crowd is a mixture, you'll see a range of attire. I think there's cover for guys on some nights but it's usually just $5, I want to say. Definitely always a fun time though!

First time going to this club Saturday night. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves, we got in free, the music was great, and the drinks definitely on point for me. I had "Sex on the Beach" the whole night. The dance floor was a bit small I thought, and the space filled up pretty fast. There is also a small stage, which also held a few more crowds. So if your the type that doesn't mind that kind of crowdedness, then definitely check this place. Their selection of music is really great, they take it way back. I was happy to walk in to Uncle Luke's music, and after that more old school music. The bartenders are pretty quick at serving drinks even with all those people lined up to get their drinks, I didn't have to wait too long, which was good. People aren't really rude, unlike other clubs I been to. There is a mixed crowd, which is commendable because so is the music. So everyone can enjoy and party it up, and since semester ended going out was the best solution to decompress. I will definitely consider going here again. Also try to share a "FishBowl", that was the thing of the night, many people were getting it. Especially since someone was having their graduation party in there. "FishBowl" is pretty big, I don't think one person shall drink it alone, unless its been a long week then I guess. I think one can do damage with that.

Finallllllyyy a good place to dance!!!!! I love dancing and had been looking around for a good nightclub with good music. Been here a lot of times! even if most of buffalo is empty coz of people going home, somehow this place seems filled up by 11.30pm!!!! every sat!!!! this is definitely my place!

Went to bottoms up for the first time and it was TERRIBLE. Please do not go, it is not worth it. Bouncers will fight you for bumping in to them while dancing. You will be grabbed and pushed out of the club for breaking up a fight. I REPEAT DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR!!!

Had such a good time, so much fun. Every time I come upstate to Buffalo, this is the first place that I want to visit. Delicious drinks and the DJ is awesome. The music was a mix of top 40, dubstep, hip-hop, reggae, house, pop, etc. Everything was played! Danced all night. When I went, it was a Thursday, & all ladies over 21 years old were free entry all night. I wish they had a Bottoms Up in New York City!!! :)

Its a very small club, maybe can fit 50 people in total. The drinks was super cheap. I think I brought 3 drinks for like $12. Very happy with the DJ. He took us back to the 90's which I loved! I did not give it 5 stars because with cheap drinks comes crazy people. The atmosphere was weird. People was so drunk they was falling out! I left early because I could not handle the crazies!

Are you a person of color? If yes don't waste your time. If you look like you have any bit of "culture" you'll be denied. Walked in with a regular pair of boots from Aldo's (of all places) and was denied entry. Good thing 67 West was more accepting. Merry Christmas indeed.

On 8/24/18 Me and my friend ordered the pink kitty Fish bowl and the drink tasted like nothing but watered down pink lemonade. I addressed the bartender and asked him could he switch our drinks because we were unsatisfied, and he was very, very rude. (Mind you we had both only taken a sip.out of the drink) $19 on a drink and you get bad customer service when your unsatisfied... Not my idea of great customer service. I didn't even ask for a refund of my money, just for him to switch the drinks. That will be my last time going in there. If you don't like your job... Simply don't do it!

This is by far the best bar in the world. The first time I came here I had what the locals call a fish bowl. It was basically an entire bottle of vodka. Within minutes I was in the back alley bumming cigarettes off some sleaze bag. As a walked back inside my vision was severely blurred but I could make out the sounds of some of the finest dance music, hits like Jean Paul, "Give me the light" echoed throughout this majestic bar. As the night went on I found myself using more and more of the clubs amenities. I vomited multiple times into some sort of sink/urinal combination. The staff was more than accommodating at one point they actually carried me like a small child out the front door and onto the pavement. I would recommend bottoms up to anyone who likes to rip their clothing off in public. Cheers

Bottoms Up is usually my default spot on Chippewa. Out of all the times I've gone, only once has there been a cover so it's pretty rare. It's a bit small and gets crowded but I like the vibe. All the pretentious folk tend to go to the nicer clubs so Bottoms Up tends to attract more of the chill, casual crowd that doesn't need to be dressed all fancy. Seriously, I've seen ppl dancing in their Sabres gear here so anything goes. They're famous for their fish bowls - a bunch of random sugary alcohol for $15-20 in you guessed it, a fish bowl, and shared w/ straws amongst many friends (and drunk strangers, if you wish). There's one long bar, a stage that can hold around 20-30 ppl, another small stage right when you enter, and a smoking patio in the back. Never had a problem w/ the DJ/music selection.

Sticky, over priced drinks, the crowd usually isn't very delightful. If your looking for a night club that is full of guys trying to dance with the 4 girls in the whole place that want nothing to do with them then this is the place to be. Bar service usually isn't very timely on top of it all.

This is the spot!!Had a great tme,and cant wait to go back.I dont usually go out, so we were on a womens weekend/birthday celebration.I wanted to find a place where i could dance,laugh,and also somewhere safe.bottoms up is all of this and more.My sisters and I got our groove on,and it did not matter that i haven danced since around 2004.My dance fit right in.There was all types of dances on the floor,and everyone was friendly.The whole Buffalo strip was popping,but Bottoms up stood out!Music hype,no fights,and people treated you right!We're planning a trip right now to go back in November...miss there all ready.MUCH FUN!!! My friends and i always pick bottoms up when we chose to rent out a place for a party. The manager is so nice and the last time, his promoter accidentally double booked us with another party, he worked with us and gave us an extra hour of open bar for free. He also knew there would be too many of us to fit on their only bus, so instead of making us wait for it to come back for several trips, the manager/owner took $100 out of the money they were supposed to be pocketing, and scheduled Liberty Cab Vans to pick us up. It was an amazing time and I was so pleased at how accommodating he was.

Best place ever!!!! So many well priced drinks. Hot girls all over! Best DJs in buffalo hands down. They even have a photographer that takes your picture for free! You know, so you don't forget how sloppy drunk you were and that you took home the ugliest girl in the club that night! Fish bowlllls! You'll never leave this place sober. But if you can't leave, their super friendly and incredibly understanding bouncers will gladly walk you out!
