The 22 Best Restaurants in Malmö, Sweden | Eater

"Bouchon is one of those places that feels like coming home, every time. Its refined yet true-to-the-classics bistro food celebrates traditional French cooking executed with the finest local vegetables, meat, and fish, without ever really bordering on new Nordic fussiness. Some dishes never go off the menu, and its hanger steak and steak tartare avec frites are as good as anything you’ll find in Paris. Quite a feat for a small bistro in a nondescript part of Malmö. And although the safe stuff might lure with its familiar comfort, the rest of the menu is worth exploring, like the grilled octopus, twice-baked cheese souffle, and cauliflower gratin with chanterelles and truffles. The wine list echoes this masterfully: It’s compact and primarily focused on traditional French wine regions. All are served up with a spirit of old-school hospitality that’s rare in this town. This place serves well made sea food and snails. I’d love to come back and try out more items from the menu!

What a gem of a restaurant, really! Second time we visit Bouchon and definitely not the last one. The staff is amazing, happy to assist and personable. The food is sublime, delicious, well thought and well made. The wine list is quite extensive and features very good wines! Super cozy atmosphere, whether a date, dinner with friends or colleagues. Highly recommended!

The ambience was delightfully informal and quaint, yet classy. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was nothing short of incredible...creative flavors while keeping with traditional French fare. There were also a surprising number of gluten free options, including almost the entire dessert menu. We will definitely be going back.

My husband's favorite French restaurant. Small menu - classics and changing dishes. Staff is very professional and friendly. The veg alternative is never wowing me but it's good. We come here about 2 times a year.

Food and service was great! The portions were really well balanced. Highly recommend asking the staff for recommendations both for wine and food. My favorite was the orange souffle, would come back just for it! Super nice atmosphere, very cosy, also has great opening hours, can go for a later dinner there on Sunday! I plan to come back!

Everything was amazing. All the food was the freshest and best produce possible, flavoured perfectly. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Worth the price 100%.

This restaurant is not looking for a Micheline star but with that said it does not mean that it doesn't hold very high quality of courses. The starter tasted superb and so did the main course made of sirloin steak from Swedish cattle "Rödkulla". The steak definitely was one of the best steaks that I ever had. It came out on the plate for two and was covered with french fries, which is fine. However esthetically this dish would gain a lot if french fries were served in separate bowl and if the steak was presented for itself. The dessert on the other hand was a disappointment for me. There was no wow experience that I had with two previous courses. I didn't even like it. However I could see that the dessert on the menu has changed since my visit and the alternatives present today sound much better compared to the old ones. Overall service was good and I can promise you that this is a restaurant I will be getting back to several times.

Worth a visit. Service was great food could be better. Quite salty. Fries and tartar was perfect. Old fashioned was great. Portions were quite large. Price was average for what you can find in Malmö

Yelp
Went with a large group while in town and we had a fabulous 3 course meal with a delicious goat cheese salad, the best duck with wine sauce I've ever had and to die for crème brûlée paired with the perfect wines. A must for a special occasion or just enjoying life!

Yelp
This place was good! Not a touristy place, more of a local place. Off the beaten path. Food is delicious! Get the tartar / fries / salad combo they offer for dinner. Great wine selection too! Worth visiting if you're in Malmo and not sure where to dine. Give it a try!
