"You visited the city for the first time and never got a bowl of the San Francisco treat (no, not the rice pilaf). A pre-flight chowder in a sourdough bread bowl is in order. The SFO outpost of the city’s famous, long-running bakery is serving up the New England-style soup in the international terminal, along with salads, sandwiches, and wraps. It’s counter-service (read: quick), and you can order online for pick-up if the countdown to departure is way too close." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez

Stopped by Boudin Bakery Café and tried the Margherita Pizza and the California Veggie Sandwich. Both were just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable either. The pizza had a decent crust but lacked the fresh basil and vibrant flavor I’d hoped for. The sandwich was fresh and packed with veggies, but didn’t really stand out in taste or texture. The ambiance was pleasant though, with the warm bakery vibes and casual seating. If you’re here more for the sourdough bread experience or a quick lunch, it does the job. But food-wise, there are definitely more exciting options around.

I was happy to find this Boudin right in the middle of the San Fran international airport. Expect the usual and they have a cute bread stand in the center with freshly baked products. It would be nice if they had more tables and regular table cleaning.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Worst food experience I’ve ever had. Just shut it down. -They forgot to put Avocado on my sandwich and this is what they did. -What the hell did they put in my soup? I just opened it up and there’s pieces of turkey. The soup had an off taste and had zero salt(and I’m not even a salt person). If I get a reply on my review it’ll be a generic thank you for your feedback statement with no follow up. 22$ down the drain. I threw the whole thing away. Don’t pay the employees cause they’re obviously not doing their jobs.

Been seeing quite a few bad reviews and I'm guessing I visited on a good day because me personally, I had a great experience. I ordered their classic French dip and I gotta say, the sandwich and 'au jus' dipping sauce made for a crazy combo. The beef was tender & juicy (literally dripping) and the mayo was a nice added touch that didn't overpower the sandwich, but still contributed to the flavour. I did have to wait a while for my food but it wasn't an excessive drag, maybe a bit slower than your average fast food place. Their almond croissant was also pretty good, one of the rare times where the filling can be tasted along the length of the whole croissant. All in all, Boudin made for a good lunch spot.

I usually don't write reviews but this experience was horrible due to the rude service. I bought baguette snacks as gifts at the airport and shared them at a friend's house. One of the two had a very strong oily smell. I took it back to the store a week later for my return flight. This was only $6 and was a huge hassle since I bought it at the duty free store but they should have known. The store clerk said the oily smell was normal and told me to open all the other items. Is that what a clerk is supposed to say? I didn't want to argue anymore and got a refund. This wasn't a normal refund and they should have said sorry. I was very upset. Many people would have bought baguettes as gifts and the recipient would have cussed you out.

We ordered rustic tomato soup. It was full of croutons and Parmesan cheese. Hardly any soup. Not sure why they added so many croutons when we had ordered a bread bowl. The soup tasted off, had a hint of preservatives. Boudin is usually great but this one is probably not being run up to their standards The tomato basil pizza was good

No humans to take orders. Three crowded kiosk screens. Customers are slow and don't understand options or how to pay. Receipt didn't print. Had to pay beer separately. Dirty tables. People jostling for space. Had to pour the soup in the bread myself (the job of kitchen staff) so glad I did not tip bc minimal work and zero customer service. Awful experience. Also lots of unnecessary trash created by my order--the waxy bag for the cookie, the cardboard bread dish, the soup container with heavy top, and the wooden spoon. All of it unnecessary for an eat-in order. The merchandise they sell is weird too. Why sell products (sourdough rounds) that have never been served in the restaurant? Hamburger of the man at my table looked so rough. Soup was just okay, I don't remember it being so bland. Bread was great though! Only thing I liked.

A good place to find great bread. Service is fast. A few tables inside. The clam chowder soup was delicious
