After all the years I've been coming here, I've finally checked it out. Usually, we see people going in for the sample. There was a 2 minute video I watched explaining the history of Boudin and how the bread is made. The "Mother Dough" it's a quick and cool experience. I learned so much and got to see all the steps it take to make their bread. Trivia question: How long does it take to make 1 loaf of bread? Answer: 72 hours 🤯 It's definitely worth checking out.

Google
So far one of the best restaurants in California adventures. The best clam chowder you can find is here. The flavor, the fresh bread and the welcoming atmosphere, you can ask for more. 10/10.

The bakery tour is located in Pacific Wharf which is about to be renamed San Fransoyko Square-hence the covering over the top of the building. Every thing here is being renovated to take on the look of Big Hero 6. When my husband and I arrived we were given a small piece of their famous sourdough bread to try. I'm not really a fan of sourdough bread but this one was pretty good. Your tour is a walkthrough of the bakery in action, the dough they use and everything that goes into making a loaf. I was somewhat disappointed in this tour as I had hoped there would be more to offer. Nevertheless I was glad I had the opportunity to do it. Your self guided tour takes about 10 minutes max and then you are in the Pacific wharf cafe where you can purchase soup or mac and cheese in a breadbowl. You can also buy their famous loaves or one that is MIckey shaped. Outside they have a street vendor selling additional MIckey loaves. The Pacific Wharf cafe will be renamed Aunt Cass cafe serving Japanese-inspired dishes in addition to the breads noted above. San Fransoyko is expected to open within a week.

Google
They close down well before 7pm. When we went you could still walk through it but nothing was going on, so that was unfortunate. The bakery is separated by a big plexiglass window. I'd imagine in the morning they probably have quite a few workers making the breads in there. Even if this was running when we went i could see this one being more of a waste of time.

I never thought I’d be the kind of person who would buy a loaf of bread at a theme park

Google
Ok this is coming from a San Francisco resident who eats boudins from the wharf. Today I got a simple turkey sandwich and they sold me not sourdough bread or slices but some other bread that looked like a sponge. It was nasty and nothing to do with the original. They even ruined the clam chowder in the bread bowl. Please just change the name . It doesn’t represent the original Boudin

Google
Love this sourdough bread bakery. Watching the process from behind the windows is a fun way to get out of the sun for a minute.

Google
Tasty breads and other pastries. Their bread bowl clam chowder is a must-try. Their staff is wonderful as well. You can take the short, self-guided bakery tour to see their actual bakers at work.

Yelp
Come for the tour, stay for the bakery! :) You start off in the tour area, free piece of bread or two, and learn about the history and process of making proper sourdough. Afterward you can go stop in and grab a loaf to eat and take home, or grab various eats that incorporate Boudin's tasty bread. :)

Yelp
Always worth the price of admission. Come hungry and leave full. Whenever you need a break from the heat, just visit and enjoy the air conditioning and full display of how to make bread. Friendly staff allow you to enjoy the experience. You have to visit at least once.

Yelp
Very nice little walking tour of the bakery where you get a little piece of the bread at the beginning. Loved seeing all the machinery and there was the perfect amount of facts to read as we did our little 5-10 minute walk through.

Yelp
A nice stop to get away from the crowds and learn something about bread making. Tucked in a corner of the San Fransokyo area across the Ghirardelli shop. At the entrance you get a piece of fresh sourdough bread to enjoy as you learn about the stages of making sourdough bread. You can see the bakers prepping the bread for proofing in a window. At the exit, there is a cart where you can buy Mickey shaped bread to enjoy at home. During Lunar festival, there's bread shaped like the year's animal. I think they run about $11. FYI, there are tables you can eat at inside. Great for when you want to get out of the cold or heat, depending on the time of the year. I shouldn't be divulging this secret ( or not so secret).

Yelp
I will give them 1 star for 7/5/2025. I order 2 sandwiches wanted baguette French bread for my sandwich bread. I was told that the turkey sandwich could not be made with that tyoe of bread ok. this establishment made my sandwich with sliced sourdough in which the bread was like rubber to my surprise Edith the server was extremely rude giving me bags of chips full of layered grease and a wet tray and said she could not cut my sandwiches in half that I was to get a knife outside and do it my dam self. omg what! I know that Edith was not trained to be rude like this this was embarrassing and absolutely uncalled for. so if you want a sandwich here it's a know on the type of bread you ask for and the sandwiches very poorly made .

Yelp
A trip to Boudin Bakery is a must when visiting San Francisco. I try to visit one every time I am in the Bay area. Boudin Bakery's recipe for the "mother dough" has remained unchanged since the company was founded in 1849. I enjoy visiting this little replica version of it whenever I am at Disney California Adventure Park. First of all, they hand you a piece of sourdough bread as you enter. Then you can go on a mini tour and learn about the history of bread, While on the tour, you can watch actual bakers make Boudin's famous sourdough bread behind the glass. The Bakery Tour is located in San Fransokyo Square which is a replica of San Francisco's famous Fisherman's Wharf. Just outside the Boudin Bakery Tour is an area where you can order Boudin bread bowls full of your favorite soup or bread in the shape of Disney characters.

Yelp
We walked through the Bakery Tour hosted by Boudin Bakery because it was on our way from Cars Land to the Pixar Pier. It was a nice bonus attraction during our Disney weekend earlier this month, of particular interest to our four-year-old. We were welcomed by a guy handing out little slices of sourdough. I love free samples, but I thought it was weird that these weren't even pretending to be fresh. They were cold and a slightly stale, at least several hours out of the oven. Our two-year-old liked it, though, chewing on his slice as we walked through the bakery tour. The tour was brief, mostly a jaunt through a hallway lined with glass windows, looking into a big room where people stood making sourdough. There was a glass chute running over our heads and into the room, where we could see balls of dough making their way to a baker on a conveyor belt. This set-up delighted our older boy, who stood around pointing and describing what he saw. The baker through the window gave him a sweet wave hello. We were confused when there was no real bakery attached to this tour, just a stand selling weird loaves of sourdough shaped like Disney characters. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the bakery tour. Worth a quick stop if you're already in the area.

Yelp
Have ten minutes to spare? Come here to learn about the history of sourdough and how it's made! Free samples too! The Boudin Bakery Tour is inside the Disney California Adventure. You'll find them in San Fransokyo Square, which replaced Pacific Wharf. They are an inaugural day attraction, opening the same day the theme park did in 2001. This is now a self-guided, self-paced tour. Once you walk in, a cast member with tongs will hand you some sourdough. There's a short introduction video featuring Rosie O'Donnell and Colin Mochrie that loops on the television screen. There are plaques and pictures on the walls for you to read and view. Walk into the next area and you'll see a glass window looking into the refrigerated vault where they keep the mother dough. It's supposedly more than 165 years old, and the bakers here use a portion of it to make their bread everyday. Walk a little further and there are large windows looking into the kitchen. You'll learn that they first mix and knead the batch before dividing it into several pieces and rounding the outer surfaces. There is a resting period to allow it to rise and stretch. They then mold the dough into different shapes, chill it, proof it, score it, and then bake it. You can purchase loaves outside at the bread cart. The Baymax one ($11.99) was slightly more expensive than the Sourdough Mickey ($10.99), while also being slightly smaller. The taste was the same, it had Boudin's signature tanginess. Overall it's a novelty and I wouldn't get one again, but I'll be back for the samples!

Yelp
This bakery and bread is still the shiznit! By far the best bread. I absolutely love the sour dough bread! The tour is so fun. You walk in and there's an employee that should give you a bread sample- if you are lucky it will be warm and super fresh! Yummy. After that you can walk over to the wall and read up on the history of the bakery. It's pretty neat. And then you can look through the glass and watch them form the dough, and see the machines. It's awesome! Great learning experience and tasty bread to eat when you are done. Lol

Yelp
There's never any wait to enter this attraction, and you'll get a small bread sample as soon as you walk in. That's the only reason I come lol... Not what is used to be, just a walk thru
google avatar

Yelp
This is where you get the cute Mickey sourdough loaf or the Baymax Sourdough loaf. We usually take one home when we come to Ca Adventure. My girls also love the Mac and Cheese in a sourdough bowl!

Yelp
Free slice of sourdough bread in Anaheim, California... I have really smart friends. When they said, "Let's get bread", I just followed. They all seemed to know what that meant. They've been coming to Disney California Adventure for years, so, they must know what they're doing, right? They reasoned that we had some time before our next ride appointment... why not!?!?! I just followed... We entered the free Tour of the Boudin Bakery and got our free slice of sourdough bread. It held us over until our late lunch reservation at Lamp Light Lounge. It was a great decision! The bread had a nice crust on the outside. It was chewy and slightly tart on the inside. Thanks for the yummy snack! It was much needed and appreciated - especially since no samples were given out for a while (because of the pandemic). On my next visit, maybe I'll spend more time looking at the displayed information and watching the bakery action!

Yelp
We love this place. The tour is super cool and interesting and you get a sample of the sourdough bread. The attaché cafe and bread cart sells themed Mickey and Baymax shaped bread (12.95) as well as loaves, bowls and baguettes ($6.95). If you don't care about the shape then skip the themed bread. It's not worth the price difference. Especially not the Baymax which is pretty small. They have tubs of butter pats and you can take all you need or want.

Yelp
Amazing!! Free bread and you can watch how they make delicious sourdough bread and discover fun facts and bread. If you catch the bakers at a good time then you can watch them knead dough, mix, and all other things in the baking process

Yelp
It was amazing! Got the clam chowder bread bowl which was stellar!!! Amazing bread and wonderful experience!

Yelp
The Bakery Tour takes guests on a brief yet informative walk through of the history of and how sourdough is made. I know it's hard to believe, but sourdough has been around longer than the great sourdough making of 2020. Boudin's has been perfecting their sourdough since 1849. Boudin's is a California staple. Having the bakery tour makes sense with the original vision on Disney's California Adventure; a tour of California in one place. The tour is now a tie to Aunt Cass Cafe. Tour includes a taste of the soft and chewy bread. Want more? Head over to Aunt Cass Cafe. At Aunt Cass Cafe, guests may purchase sourdough bread in the shape of Disney characters. Soups and mac and cheese in a bread bowl are also for sale.

Yelp
The employees provide free bread samples when you walk in. This is a self guided tour so you can spend as much it as little time as you would like in the bakery. After the revamp of San Fransokyo Square, they have started to sell Baymax bread. Super Cute!

Yelp
The Bakery Tour - Hosted by Boudin Bakery is located inside Disney's California Adventure. It's next to Paradise Pier and the Cars land. The tour is free. There are two entrances. The one at the pacific wharf is the exit. If you're starting the tour, you should enter from the entrance towards Cars Land. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a free sample of Sourdough bread. There is a video you can watch as well before you start the walk-through tour. Inside the bakery, you can watch the sourdough bread go on the conveyor belt and watch the process of how the bread is made. You'll be able to see through the glass windows the team members making the sourdough bread. Towards the end of the tour, you can buy some of the loaves of breads! Afterwards, we did place a mobile order through the Disneyland application for an order of the sourdough mac-n-cheese bread bowl! It was delicious!

Yelp
The highlight of our visit to DCA is always free delicious fresh sourdough samples at the factory! I've been visiting since they first opened when you had to at least watch the first part of the tour to enjoy the bread samples. I have actually followed the entire video tour from start to finish and I have to say it is very entertaining! Informative and enjoyable. The bakers are always super friendly and always wave to the kiddos from the bakery windows. The bakers giving out the samples are also super friendly and usually give me and my daughter a second piece once we finish our first :-) Have fun!

Yelp
Great tour thats absolutely free and at your own pace. This was a nice reminder that family-own companies can succeed and Disney partnering with them ensures their wealth. Fun interactive activities and games to play. Free samples of bread as well. The process of watching the bread be made from start to finish is cool for adults and kids. Coupons available for purchases online at Boudin Sourdough's website. Bread products to be purchased as well as food items. Going in for the clam chowder bowl -- Yum!
google avatar

Tara H.

Yelp
Very yummy tangy sourdough bread. However tour was reading small vague signs and looking thru a window watching them bake the bread. It would be nice to actually have a tour with a live person. As a sourdough baker myself I'm curious how they are able to get such a long ferment time and good oven spring in their loaves.
google avatar

Lisa Y.

Yelp
Simply delicious! The holiday season is the best time to enjoy a decadent treat from DCA.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
This place has some of the best sourdough bread I've ever tasted in my life! We did the walk-through of the bakery tour and decided afterwards to have lunch here in the form of sourdough bread bowls filled with clam chowder. I typically don't always eat the bread bowl when I order this type of food but the bread was so delicious I had to finish it all! The Chowder itself was okay but I've had better being from the Pacific Northwest. However the bread is better than of what I've ever had before. This Bakery is located in the California Adventure park side of the Disneyland area and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a delicious lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Ann M.

Yelp
The only free thing at any of the parks. A small bite-size portion of sourdough bread. Fresh, soft but a lil crisp crust. All I needed was butter! Interesting how the bread is made and the amount of time it needs to rise! They need a new video at the end of the tour Rosie O'Donnell and the unknown guy are boring. OXOX
google avatar

Tamara P.

Yelp
Recently my daughter and I stepped in taking a break from all of the crowds at California Adventure Park to see what this tour was all about. I always saw the sign above the door behind the Boudin Bakery at the Pacific Wharf, but never took the plunge. At the door we received a couple of sourdough bread samples and trudged on forward into a room with various sourdough breads including a couple shaped into the characters from the Cars movie. Very cute and different in comparison to the crabs and turtles you see at the famous branch at the Wharf in San Francisco. There was also an informative narration on the television screen up above us, but my daughter was more interested in seeing the action behind the large paneled glass in the bakery. There wasn't anything on any of the belts at the time, so we quickly passed by after finishing our bread samples and were out the doors and on our way. I'll have to honestly take the actual time and listen to the narrated tour one of these days to really give this place a fair rating, otherwise it gets just a 3-star rating from me for now.

Yelp
Located in Disney California Adventure, the Bakery Tour is a nice stop while walking around Pacific Wharf. It may not be the most exciting tour, but it's still worth a visit. We noticed the cool, old car out in front of the building first. After taking a dozen photos with the car, we decided to go inside. There was a short film about how the bread is made and a couple of Disney employees handing out samples of fresh Boudin bread. We then walked through the small building as we watched the employees making the bread through large glass windows. Right after the brief tour, we went next door to grab some lunch at the Pacific Wharf Cafe. I think it's brilliant how the tour's exit lead directly to the bread cart and the cafe's entrance. I also think the samples of the sourdough bread and the wonderful smell of baking bread made us even more hungry. We also bought some bread on the way out. The little bread cart had delicious bread and good service. Although we probably won't stop by here again, this little tour is worth seeing at least once!

Yelp
The Boudin Bakery tour is one of my favorite things about California Adventure? Why? Well, for starters, they give you a sample of their freshly baked sourdough bread before you watch the video at the start of the tour. Yeah, that's pretty much why it's great. They give you free bread. And that bread is great! How often do you get something for free while in the world of Disney? While enjoying your bread, surrounded by photos of classic San Francisco, you watch a silly little video hosted by Rosie O'Donnell and Colin Mochrie. Boudin has been making sourdough for over 150 years. The starter (or mother dough as they call it) they are using is supposedly from the same starter that was used all those years ago. No matter where that starter came from, I would do just about anything to get my hands on some of that. Their bread is so good! No matter how many times I make bread at home, it will never come close to Boudin's sourdough. After you finish learning about the history of Boudin sourdough, you can view the resting "mother dough" and watch the dough being mixed, rolled, cut, and baked. This bakery supplies bread to the Pacific Wharf Cafe (next door). At the very end of the tour, you can see into the cafe and see the workers cutting the tops for the bread bowls. I wish I could reach through that window and just grab all that wonderful bread.

Yelp
At one time, this quick, little "tour" of the Boudin Bakery at DCA was guided; however, these days, it's self-guided. Either way, though, it's an air-conditioned reprieve while visiting the Park during the summertime heat. Plus, you're handed a small slice of the Boudin family's delicious sourdough bread (I wish it were an entire loaf, it's so good!) upon entering. The Boudin family's initial recipe for the Original San Francisco Sourdough Bread, the one which introduced the wild yeast to their French bread and ended up giving it that tangy flavor, was introduced in 1849. (You'll learn this as you stroll through the bakery.) And a portion of their "mother dough," the original mixture with which their first batch of sourdough was made, starts--even today--each and every loaf that is made. (You'll also learn this.) From this on-site bakery, by the way, comes all of the bread bowls used for salads and soups throughout the resort, and you know you love those! Sometimes, we'll buy a small loaf (there's a Pass Holder discount), have it sliced for us while we're there, and enjoy a few bites while continuing on with our day.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I'm sure this was great when it was brand new and drew in the crowds, but now, in its current state? It's kind of sad. You walk in and are greeted by the only person who will actually speak to or acknowledge you during the entire "tour". You're handed two thinly sliced pieces of wonderful sourdough bread, then you're given the opportunity to wander through the place. There isn't much to see. I mean, sure - there's the inner workings of the bakery, but it really isn't *that* fascinating. I took a picture of the wall of mother dough, and then stationed myself in front of one of the TVs for the tour, only to see...Rose O'Donnell and that funny guy from "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?" I may sound a bit harsh, but the "tour" was bad. Like, super bad. Cheesy dialog, sad gags and bad acting. I learned a bit about how Boudin makes their wonderful bread, but other than that, it was just not worth the time. I do remember coming in here once, back when the Ghirardelli across the way was the Mission Tortilla Factory. I remember that the people behind the glass actually took a moment to acknowledge the tourists, and on some occasions actually interacted with them a bit. Those days are long gone. The one girl "behind the glass" that saw our small group of people coming towards her took one look at us - I mean, eye contact was established, people! - and fled to the back of the bakery. I must offend. I'm wondering if they've got any ideas about how to better utilize this space. Because as it is now, it's just not a draw. Except for the bread. Lovely, delicious bread.
google avatar

Yelp
Quick, very interesting and you get a free piece of Sourdough! Once you've done it once, you don't need to do it again, but let's be serious... The reason we do this tour over and over is for the free sourdough, air conditioning/heat on the cool days and some shade I guess the tour gives more value to why you pay the high prices for the sourdough dishes in the actual Boudin Bakery next door, but not sure it's the best use of the space.
google avatar

Issy D.

Yelp
Free bread! Plus it's the best bread...sourdough! Walk through here, check out the process of bread being made and see the old time photos. Then swing by the restaurant to binge out on more bread. Yum!

Yelp
BREAD TOUR! Free Bread SAMPLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And learn the step by step process of making the famous sourdough bread!!!! Honestly I wasn't too interested in going through the whole tour for this bread but one time, I walked through and it was quite entertaining. You get to see how the bread bowls are made! I think its something kids would be quite entertained with! I enjoyed it very much!
google avatar

Melissa N.

Yelp
Grab a sample of sourdough freshly made every day. As you walk through You can see the process on how the sourdough is made. They make their bread for all their soup bowls sold in the park. They also make Mickey head snapped sourdough as well.

Yelp
You hungry for a snack? Want some free bread? Perhaps you're interested in the production of fine sourdough bread and are curious about.... just want some free bread, huh? Well, either way this attraction is for you. This Bakery Tour hosted by Boudin has been around these parts at DCA since opening day. It was rumored to be closing and turning into something else (much like the tortilla factory tour turned into Ghiradelli's across the way) but it actually just turned into a much overdue refurbishment. Outside the exterior building has received new signage, a new fancy awning, and a neat little car parked right out front. As soon as you enter you'll receive a free piece of Boudin sourdough bread. If you're a rude a-hole (my words) you'll simply snatch your free little morsel of bread and scurry back out the front door like the effing rat you are. If you're a polite individual you'll at least walk through the attraction and out the actual exit. By all means though, if you are curious and actually give a care then feel free to stay and see what this "tour" is really all about. Basically, it's about watching a short video and walking through the building witnessing employees through large windows during the various processes of this bread production from conception to finished product. If it were up to me, which of course it is not, I would place the cast member serving the bread samples at the exit instead of the entrance so that way the factory tour tells more of a linear story like "here's how they do it and this is a finished product for you to taste" instead of the "here's some bread. Wondering how they did that? Well, step inside." If that change were made though, I guess the aforementioned a-holes would just bombard the exit instead. Heck, the exit doors are already propped open most of time anyway... The tour in self is simply alright, nothing fancy. The short video you watch gives some backstory on the Boudin family and tells you about the "mother dough" and that process. This video stars Colin Mochrie and Rosie O' Donnell and is mildly entertaining. There used to be several other tvs along the tour route that continued the story but those have all been removed and the short intro video is all that remains. Other new additions to the interior of the building include new signs and verbiage lining the walls, a small cart holding examples of finished bread, a new display comparing the weight and worth of mother dough to gold, and plenty of chairs and tables to sit and relax and most likely placed there so guests could purchase some of the finished bread and enjoy it without wandering off too far. All in all, the new additions are welcomed for this aged and tired attraction and witnesses the production of the sourdough is kinda neat, but at the end of the day it seems this place is simply all about the bread. Or, at least the free samples of the bread.

Yelp
From SF and missing home a little bit? Or you might just be craving a clam chowder bread bowl? Either one, make sure to stop by The Boudin Bakery Tour for the fresh aroma of the baked sourdough bread! Don't walk in too fast or else you will miss the FREE SAMPLE! As you enter someone is giving out free sourdough samples. ;) You might even just want to enter for the free sample? Walking around all day definitely does work up an appetite! The clam chowder bread bowl from the cafe is clutch! All that theme park food needs to be balanced out with an elegant bread bowl. Don't forget to ask for butter for the bread after. The soup disappears really fast when you're hungry!

Yelp
3.5 stars overall, but 4 stars for the bread. As a food lover, I had to try the Bakery Tour at Disney's California Adventure. First you get a sample of some tasty sour dough bread. Nice start. Maybe they should wait to pass the bread out as people tend to either not go in for the rest of the tour or leave really quickly. After the sample, you have to watch a video about how bread is made with Rosie O'Donnell and Colin Mochrie which will be really entertaining for the kids. You can watch bread being made through a glass panel as well, so that's kind of cool. When all is over, you get dumped out over by the Boudin restaurant so if you want to buy something to eat you can. So, the bread is great, the video is okay and how they make the bread is cool. If you just need a break and want to slow down for a minute, this is a good place to do it.

Yelp
I've been to DCA many times and never knew about this place until now. If you're a fan of Disney's soup-in-a-bread-bowl, this short tour is a must. Very interesting. They give out free samples of the sourdough when you walk in, and there are loaves for sale outside (yes, there's one shaped like Mickey Mouse's head, and yes, we bought it). If the Disney folks are reading this, here's my advice: Add a sandwich shop to this bakery, so that people can order a sandwich when they walk in, go on the tour, and pick up their sandwich on their way out. How cool would that be?

Yelp
Okay, I've loved Boudin's bread since I took a trip to San Francisco in high school and to have a bread-joint at the heart of DCA is absolutely fing fantastic. If smell of freshly baked bread doesn't make your nose tingle and your tastebuds start to water then you need to get your sinuses checked! I'm talking about the type of mouth watering, tangy, crispy-crust sourdough bread that only Boudin's can bake! Get your FREE sample. That's right, it's Free.99! And then walk your happy-ass over to Ghirardelli...

Yelp
Bread baking tour. Lame right? Wrong!! Okay, when it starts out, you're watching Colin Mochrie and Rosie O'Donnell, super campy. At least they give you a sample of some yummy Boudin bread to get you through it. But here's where it gets fun... Much like the Haunted Mansion or Tower of Terror, this is just your holding cell. The wall opens up, and Voila! They're making the bread right there in front of you. You learn all kinds of cool facts about the history of the Boudin family, bread, and tips and tricks to making it perfect. I won't ruin the tour with spoilers, but it was actually a lot of fun, and I'm glad I found it during my last trip and had a chance to try it. Next time, I'll hit it up again for sure!

Yelp
My sister made fun of me for wanting to do this. Come on- it's an air conditioned place and they give you a free small slice of delicious sour dough bread (that I think saved me from heartburn after my spicy Mexican Caesar salad at the Mexican place around the corner). The video is cute and then it's neat that you get to see the baking magic happen before your eyes. Definitely a nice 10 minute break!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem inside California Adventure. Swing over and grab a sample of sourdough bread. You will not be disappointed! Then make your way to the front of the restaurant and order anything from the menu. This bread is so delicious, it goes well with any of the menu items. My favorite is the broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl. Also, we enjoy the Chicken Apple Salad inside a bread bowl. I order them on the side so my bread does not get soggy. Tips and tricks - grab a few pats of butter at the check out counter. Spread it on the extra pieces of bread (if you have any left) ;) Order it "to go" and enjoy it when you get home! Try the turkey pesto sammie and let me know how it is!

Yelp
It is interesting and ends with a little sample of some really good Gluten! Love it, because I am at Disneyland when I am there! If I were slogging though mud up to my waist, I would still love it. It's Disneyland Mud...

Yelp
The Boudin Bakery Tour is a 13 minute bread tour that opened in 2001 in the Pacific Wharf region of Disney's California Adventure. The bakery tour is a cute and funny little tour that shows how sourdough bread is made hosted by Colin Mochrie and Rosie O'Donnell. After entering the building, a Disney staff member hands out one to two pieces of sourdough bread per person. The attraction starts in the same room where they hand you the pieces of bread with a TV screen in front and some posters with information about how sourdough is first made. The program begin having Colin and Rosie talk about a brief history about the bread. Afterwards, you move into the next room which is actually the room that shows you how Disney's sourdough breads are made everyday here in the magic kingdom. Next Colin and Rosie continue to provide amusing commentary as the tour passes by the rooms where the dough is mixed, proofed, formed into loaves and eventually baked. The original Boudin Bakery in San Francisco has produced sourdough bread for over 150 years and the "mother dough" ( the fermentation starter used in bread making) was developed by French baker Isidore Boudin in 1849. The bacteria found in the mother dough is unique to San Francisco and has a patented name called "lactobacillus sanfrancisco". Surprising the bread's only ingredients are: unbleached flour, water, salt, and a portion of the mother dough to create that crunchy first bite of goodness. Tips: The Pacific Wharf Cafe, which is just behind the bakery, uses loaves of bread baked in the bakery for their sandwiches and their soup and salad bread bowls. Boudin sourdough bread baked at Disney's California Adventure may be purchased at the Pacific Wharf Cafe and at the Fruit Stand near the bakery. In addition to the round loaves, loaves shaped like Mickey's head are also available. (So if you like to eat larger portions of the sourdough bread samples you can buy them here too.) Pros: Interesting and fun facts about sourdough breads can be found here. (And you wonder why you can't recreate these breads at home. Ha, well we now know why because it takes nearly 70 some hours to make a loaf of sourdough bread 0_0 ). Apart from the free samples you can hind from either the hot sun or the cold nights here. (This place has both air conditioning and heaters to adjust to the temperature outside.) I dunno about you but, I am really interested in cooking and how they mass produce food products. (So this type of stuff interests me =) Cons: None! (Apart from the bread samples stimulating my appetite and making me hungry again). Overall, a good place to take a breather or a break from the hectic and chaotic day at Disneyland.

Yelp
A surprisingly good way to spend 10 minutes! You get walked through the process for making those delicious sourdough bread bowls via narrated walking TV tour, in front of a real, live, working kitchen right in front of you. It's like a zoo, but with people in hats. Making delicious bread. And I'm assuming they aren't being held captive. The tour is actually interesting and informative. It's neat to see the bread being made right in front of you from start to finish, by real people who smile and wave. Only moderately awkward. (psh, a bit of a culinary voyeurism. No big.) AND at the end of the tour, you get a little piece of fresh sourdough to nosh on! There are very few free things in Disneyland/DCA, kids. Get all you can. VERDICT: Totally do this!

Yelp
I love bread. And cooking so this combining the two and the smell of fresh baked sourdough bread I was weak in mi knees.... I didn't really read the notes, it was a walk through and you could see the workers mixing, kneading and preparing the dough along the cooking process. I got to see the "mother dough" and it was colossal it looked like a mother dough... Free samples at the end or beginning depending on which way you enter. Definitely get yourself a bread bowl of soup from the restaurant next door!
