The Best Upcoming Chicago Bars and Restaurants to Know | Eater Chicago

"I'm watching Au Levain, the pandemic-era bakery run out of Bistro Campagne by owner and baker Angel Chavez, as it plans for a permanent location; Chavez has signed a letter of intent but has not revealed the address." - Naomi Waxman

Overall, a delightful spot! Most of the items are excellent—fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The pastries and baked goods really stand out. However, the coffee could use some improvement; it’s just average compared to the high standard of the rest of the offerings. With a bit more attention to the coffee, this place could be perfect.

My family and me were staying in an AirBnB in the neighborhood and after having croissants from some other boulangeries around, this were the best we had during our stay. Food. The croissants were fresh, crispy, flaky buttery and moist... in two words, "just perfect". We tried also other viennoiseries, like nutella croissant, pain au chocolat, the strawberry patisserie and the baguette, all wonderful. Service The service was good, attentive and the attendant spoke English which helped me a lot to avoid my terrible French. Atmosphere. The classic neighborhood boulangerie and pâtisserie with daily baked goods. The place has limited seating but still, you can have your goods and eat it right there In conclusion, a very recommendable boulangerie, a must if you are in the Cambronne area or close by in the 15th Arondissement and want to have amazing croissants for breakfast.

⭐️HIDDEN GEM⭐️ WOW, this was the most amazing bakery and patisserie shop we found in our visit to Paris. Best bakery in Paris! They have the amazing fruit pastries just like the Cedric Grolet shop at only fraction of the price. The quality and variety of pastries were incredible. Not only did they look good but they tasted incredible, and VERY reasonably priced. Amazing hospitality and customer service. When I come to visit Paris again, I’m definitely visiting this wonderful bakery!

A cozy little French bakery — nothing over the top, just great bread, good coffee, and a chill, down-to-earth vibe.

First time trying this bakery on Too good to go, we paid 5€ and got a hugeeee selection of bread/pastries: a few baguettes and plenty of pains au raisins, brioches, croissants,… All very good quality ! Definitely gonna come back to try their patisseries !

I came to this place because of the high rating on Google, but was disappointed. The croissant was hard and dry, as if it wasn’t fresh, and the coffee was quite basic. I wouldn’t come back here.

Took away some classic pain au chocolat. Baked fresh and was nice. No complaints and decent price.
