Boulangerie - Pâtisserie - Confiserie "Brier"

I absolutely love this place! I tried the pastries for two days in a row there. This patisserie is very busy, especially during weekend. There is a small sitting area, we waited for table for 15 min on Saturday. Great variety, jams , chocolates, bread, pastries, bakery and drinks, souvenir sweets wraps. Everything looked very attractive. Chocolate eclair was great with a cup of decaffeinated cappucino, tart with pecan nuts and hazelnuts was very very nice too. But the lemon tart was definitely the winner , very delicious, with a very special unique twist !

We came to this patisserie when we first arrived Lille. The cafe has a good variety of pastries, cakes & brioche. We tried a couple of pastries & found a lot of locals had slices of brioche bread with jam & cream. The pastries were decent though nothing spectacular. I must also warn against coffees as they are not what a serious coffee lover would expect.

Delicious. There are two doors. The main door is for choosing things to take away. There's a second, smaller door where you can go in and sit and order coffee and pastries as well as other specials. The menu was written on a black board on the wall. A great place to stop in and have a break.

Visiting from Italy, grabbed a Pain au chocolat et a Flan. Alla in all i really enjoyed it and prices are normal, not cheap nor crazily expensive like other shops in town. Recommended! 👌

Very cute bakery with a place to sit and enjoy your coffee and some lunch or desserts. Service was fast and polite. Would visit again if I am in town.

A nice place to have pastries in Lille. To sit in the prices of the cakes are a lot more than to take out, still very nice but be careful. The tea was 5 euros each, however I cannot fault the food, the cheesecake was my favourite!

We only had coffee and croissants. The croissants are wonderful, are light and tasty. Can't wait to come back to Lille and try more pastries in this boulangerie.

We wanted to try Le Mervilleux (the marvellous) but by the time we arrived at the bakery, all the chocolate ones were gone so we had to settle for one dusted with speculoos crumbs. The young man who waited on us told us it was his favourite - and he was right - it was just amaaaaaaaazing!!

Very nice place for a little lunch. We stopped by a little after 1:30 and almost all of the savory choices were already sold out. It was ok because we knew we wanted a quiche. There was a choice among three and we selected the Quiche Lorraine with jambon. It was huge and perfectly cooked the filling was so moist and tender. Not a bite was left. We also got a Apple Tart type thing that had a layer of custard that was to die for. Service was great. There was seating for about 22 or so and very comfortable. Quiche, apple tart and two drinks was $18. Very reasonable and highly recommend.
