Feeling in the mood to be a little adventurous, I looked up the nearest bakery in this part of town. It seemed to be well-rated on Google, so let's go try it out! It's a small bakery close to the street corner and you'll need to try to find street parking. The side streets are sticker parking with only a few metered parking spots so plan your approach :)
I stepped in on a Monday afternoon so there didn't seem to be much stock in the dessert counters. Maybe about a dozen items per dessert. These donut-looking cakes first caught my attention so that's what I'd try. The regular sized ones are $2.50 and the mini ones are $1.50. I figured the big ones had a bigger bang for buck so I ordered one of those. In the meantime, I had a look around the shop and they have piles of biscuit/cookies. You can buy them already in a box. In their fridge, they sold milk like 1, 2, 3% and it was either Quebon or Beatrice brand (don't remember). They also have some Greek Vourderis products--fruits in syrup and vanilla syrup.
The donut-like cake called kok (thanks to my fellow yelper Konstantina for identify this dessert!) is spongy Greek profiterole and has the taste and texture similar to lady fingers. There's a thick layer of light cream and is glazed with sweet caramel on top. Apparently, the plural version of the mini koks is kokákia. I thought it was overall quite ok! Nice little afternoon adventure.
