We stayed at Boulder Bay Eco Resort for our honeymoon in Feb/March 2024. The resort is the only habitation on the island, and staying there was a wonderful and unique experience. The island itself is stunning, predominantly lush jungle full of bird life, and the bungalows are carefully designed for minimal impact. The reef around the island is beautiful, and the resort also acts as a base for regenerative marine biology projects. We snorkelled, kayaked, and hiked all around the island under the guidance of Kyaw Kyaw, our skilled and knowledgeable guide. The snorkelling and diving options were particularly amazing, and we saw many soft corals, colourful reef fish, baby sharks, starfish, and turtles. We also met a Moken family who moored in the bay in their traditional kabang boat, which was incredibly special. ||The food served at the resort was delicious, with a large variety of traditional Myanmar dishes. We are so grateful for the hospitality of Min Tun and all the resort staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay a special one. The resort arranged our transfer to and from Ranong and the process was easy. We can’t recommend Boulder Bay Eco Resort enough, it’s a truly magical place and an experience we will never forget.

I just returned after spending 25 blissful days at Boulder Bay Eco Resort. This was a truly life-changing experience. I've been to nearly every island in Thailand with tourist accommodations, and they all have two things in common: multiple resorts and the constant noisy longtail boats from dawn to dusk. There's never really a peaceful moment.||Boulder Island, 85 km west of the mainland, is different. With just one small eco resort and no shops or roads, it remains completely unspoiled. The beaches are pristine with no boat traffic - even fishing boats are rare sights.||The 8 idyllic beaches felt like my own private paradise beaches. The waters are crystal clear turquoise, the sands white and clean. If you spot any washed-up plastic, please pick it up and dispose properly to preserve this island nirvana.||The friendly jungle invites exploration, snorkelling and diving are incredible, the staff is wonderful, the food delicious, and the bungalows are beachfront perfection. Even the resident python who sometimes appears is considered good luck! This place is heaven on earth.||If you want a true island escape, stay at Boulder Bay Eco Resort. Thanks to the awesome staff for an unforgettable experience!

We spent here magnificient 7D/6N stay, pampered by utmost attentive, friendly and helpful staff and our guide Zin Mi Latt. The island with its picturesque and romantic beaches is fabulous. The trails over the island interior go through really good primary forest. The alimentation surpasses every common fantasy in richness as well as in variety and refined presentation. On the whole, our stay was far above any expectation, even a very high one.

We were looking for a remote place in the middle of nowhere and spent 6 days on the island. Yes, it’s true that Bungalows are simple and there are no hot showers. But: with every day passing we recognized more and more the real beauty and advantages of this place. Breathtaking hospitality of all staff, easy to make connections with other travelers, but also easy to stay on your own, wonderful white powder beaches and blue water plus paths through the jungle. We had the impression that the potential of this resort is not fully reached, but everybody is aware and willing to improve. ||We warmly recommend BBR for any individual travellers of all ages.

Boulder Bay Eco Resort offers everything you need to experience the balance between complete bliss and relaxation, and exciting activities such as snorkelling, trekking, kayaking and swimming. We were so lucky to spend a few sun-filled days there in February. Thanks to the staff (and the island's wonderful location, of course) we had an impeccable stay. The staff is very eager to offer a personalised stay, and our guide Wanna was knowledgable, funny and very competent. We were all given an eco kit filled with nature-friendly products when we arrived, and although we learned the hard way that the sunscreen wasn't very water proof, the kit is a great way to promote sustainable products. The food was delicious, the waters were crystal clear and the harmony and pure beauty of the place will stay with us for a long time. Thank you, Boulder Bay Eco Resort!

Boulder Bay Eco Resort is the only hotel in the island, there are not many tourists and natural environment is well preserved. It’s located 5 hours from Kawthaung by cruise ship or 2 hours by speed boat. The surroundings of the resort are really beautiful. You can have a walk in the forest with a guide, dive or go snorkeling to see colorful fish and corals in pristine waters. Staff is kind and helpful. The bungalows are comfortable. They include a bathroom and a terrace. There is a ceiling fan but no air conditioning. I had very good holidays and I recommend this place!
