Where to Eat Near Lake Mead National Recreation Area - Eater Vegas

"This Boulder City restaurant serves breakfast and lunch inside a historic hotel that was built in 1933 while the nearby Hoover Dam was still under construction. The menu includes fittingly classic American items such as omelets, chicken pot pie, and club sandwiches. After enjoying a meal, diners can check out the free, interactive Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum inside the hotel." - Krista Diamond

This is my second time in boulder city nevada. My friend and I stayed in boulder not at this hotel. This was our first time staying and it was wonderful. We will have to do this again for sure. The one thing make sure that dinner is on reservation only. We had breakfast and a raspberry tea after checking in. Everyone was very nice had got the best service. Thank you to the young ladies in the restaurant and the lady who checked us in. We had a relaxing and wonderful restful night.

Google
We checked in and the process was easy. They have a coffee and tea time scheduled AM and PM, but breakfast is not included, as it says in the Google description of the place. We were told that the restaurant does offer free coffee and coffeecake to guests in the morning if you show them your room key, but only eat in... They will not serve it to go. The room is clean, and the bed feels a little on the harder side. The AC worked well, which was great because the weather was HOT. The town has vintage shops and restaurants, and the hotel is close to everything (walking distance). We visited the speakeasy downstairs, and people were nice there. The front desk did not know the answers to any of the questions we had about the lounge (ie. Operating hours, live music times, and snack options). If staff at the hotel greeted the guests, the experience would be more welcoming (front desk and housekeeping never greeted proactively and rarely responded to our good mornings or good evenings). Small changes could go a long way.

Google
A great mixture of history with modern features exactly where you need them. The staff is great, attentive and helpful. The rooms are well done, firm beds and comfortable sheets and blankets. Right in the heart of the historical part of the town, walkable to restaurants and antique shops. We had a very nice stay.

We stay at the Boulder Dam hotel most years when vacationing in Las Vegas - it's a true gem! Very historic and access to the museum is a nice additional touch. The rooms are super clean and the beds are very comfortable. Staff are all lovely and there's so many lovely places to eat close by in beautiful Boulder City. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Google
We enjoy staying in historical places and The Bolder Dam Hotel is no exception. Rooms are comfortable, staff is excellent. Dinning room is open for breakfast and lunch Sunday through Wednesday, and serves dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Walking distance to just about everything you could want, and the historical housing area is fabulous to walk down. Our only complaint.....walls are a little thin and bring your own toilet paper, that your derriere is used too.....and that's all I'll say about that. 😂

Google
I decided I should see the Hoover Dam on this trip around CA and AZ so spent one nite at the Boulder Dam. Good price, very cute, great location. Lots of complaints about the size but it seemed fine, even if there were 2 rather than one in the room. There was one issue with the TV but they told me how to straighten it out. They have everything you need with the big lobby, restaurant, downstairs bar and upstairs museum. Plus there are quite a few places around town to walk to, I liked the Boulder City Co Store and Cornish Pasty out of my small sampling. More places on the road heading toward Calif that I didn't get to try. A pleasant stay.

Google
I went to the Hoover Dam museum in the hotel and it was a really great experience. I didn't see any employees but there were signs showing us were the museum was. It was free and answered all the questions I had after visiting the Hoover Dam. It was really interesting and super informative. I spent about an hour here but it can be done faster if you don't read all the little signs.

Google
This charming 1933 two-story historic hotel is located off Arizona Street and offers a taste of old-world charm. This very affordable boutique-style hotel has a total of twenty-one rooms, which are mainly on the second floor. While this might be an older hotel, the rooms and hotel are all well-maintained and equipped with all your modern conveniences you will find at any newer hotel, but without the charm. Inside the hotel you will find two restaurants, The Restaurant 1933 and Steakhouse 1933, the Cleveland’s Lounge and the BC Hoover Dam Museum. Boulder City is a charming town and what is nice about this hotel, you are right in the middle of all its fascinating history. The hotel offers a free self-guided audio walking tour, which according to their website, includes eleven stops over the course of a one-mile loop that starts and ends at the hotel. So, if you are looking for that special place to stay while visiting Boulder City, we highly recommend this location, and your also next story to a variety of different dining/entertainment options, all within walking distance of the hotel.

Yelp
We enjoyed our one-night stay at this historic hotel. Parking was abundant and easy to find. The historic building has two floors, with most rooms located on the second floor. We requested a room towards the back for added quietness, but given the age of the building, I don't think it made much difference. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs. Our room was small but functional, and the furniture was well-maintained and in keeping with the period style. During our stay, we visited the museum, which is open until 7 PM, and enjoyed drinks at the speakeasy, which featured live music. Coffee and tea are available in the common area.

Yelp
Thank you Bonnie for a MOST enjoyable say here. Glitz is replaced with old world charm in a museum like setting in an historical landmark, wonderfully preserved venue. The history alone is worth a visit. Sure there are chain hotels you could stay in the area that offer the same oh hum bill of goods. This hotel is UNIQUE but in a good way. And the 1933 restaurant off the immaculate and quaint lobby, was 5 star as well. Friendly servers and great food and drinkies! Attention to detail, warmth and charm everywhere, and the staff was SO enjoyable and smiles to go around. See the in house museum before you venture out to Lake Mead or Boulder Dam. OR walk the quaint streets similar to many California boutique towns. All in all this is great for a two day visit from anywhere. Enjoy!

Yelp
The historic Boulder Dam Hotel. What a great place to start your day exploring Boulder City & surrounding area. This three story building was built in 1933 to accommodate official visitors to see Boulder Dam. A lot of the rooms have been converted to office space & the first floor is used for an art gallery & the Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum. I think they have 20 or so rooms that can still be rented out on the third floor. A nice large lobby area where you can relax & read the paper or look over your maps as you plan your day. Or start your day with a breakfast in their restaurant. Lake Mead is only about 15 minutes away. Tour the dam, drive to the Monster Museum or just relax in Hemingway Park. You might see big horn sheep that come down from the mountains to graze in the park. The Mrs & I love this place & visit it often, you should too.

Yelp
celebrated my birthday brunch today at their restaurant. our server was a lovely young woman who had been there only 3 weeks. failed to get her name but she was very good and pleasant. even offered me a birthday cinnamon roll. The food was excellent. I enjoyed touring the museum. A great place to eat and visit. Thanks for making my day

Yelp
NIce hotel rooms here at the Boulder in my opinion. Set up a good 2 day stay here for some gambling and low key fun without having to deal with Vegas crowds, and just something as simple as having a low-key fun time. Nice old historic style looking Hotel from the 1930s. Made it real fun to stay here with comfy beds and linen. Great Staff and services here. I will become a regular from now on.

Yelp
Magical History Tour Historic hotel that was built in 1933 and has been one of the mainstays of Boulder City since it's inception. The Good: *Listed in the National Register of Historic Places *Showers were nice and hot with excellent water pressure. *No coffee machines in the room but there's a room that houses a hot/cold filtered water dispenser and also has a giant carafe that's always filled with the black nectar of the gods 24/7. *There's a plug w/ USB charging ports *Room AC works great *Cox Cable w/ HDTV programming *Pillows are decent *Free (donations accepted) History of Hoover Dam/Boulder City Museum located inside the hotel. *Check-in was pretty quick and smooth *Booked for $92/night (total including taxes and applicable fees) thru Booking.com *Ceiling fan in the room w/ remote *Lounge & Restaurant located in bottom floor. *Business center w/ computer & printer *Great location in the heart of DT; only 20min to Hoover Dam; and only 45min from Lost Wages. The Meh: *While you can def tell this place is old, it doesn't really have that cool "wow" factor other historic hotels we've stayed at does. *WiFi speed is not great, and the connection is very unreliable. *32" TV is kinda small for the room but at least it's good quality. The Ugly: *The mattress--and I use that term loosely--might as well have been a slab of granite. Even Carissa complained about it--and she never complains! If I bitch then it's because I'm a delicate flower but she never complains. So, yeah... TLDR: Overall great amenities but they don't you much good when you can't get a decent night's sleep.

Yelp
Amazing dinner, amazing atmosphere, and awesome staff. We will continue to verbally praise this great venue.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Probably not much better in the area. Main area smells of smoke and workers appear old and miserable. Bed was comfy and room spacious. Ice maker down and no coffee maker in toom as was advertised.

Yelp
Lovely antique furnishings and that VINTAGE TILED BATHROOM!!! Staff was super super nice and there's a lil museum in the basement too. Centrally located in town and literally the only drawback was not the fault of the property or amazing staff at all: ignorant ass guests staring at me like I took a wrong turn. MAGA trash be everywhere ugh...

Bill E.

Yelp
Me and my stayed there last night they put us in a room over where have a loud live band playing for a bunch drunks. And they where not good . This hotel is awful and I will never stay here again and spend the rest of life telling everyone not to stay here.

Yelp
This hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to housing the workers during the construction of Hoover Dam- which is cool enough for 5 stars. It is located right in the heart of downtown Boulder City, making for a very walkable evening. The decor is time period appropriate to its original purpose; you will definitely feel as if you have stepped back in time. Luckily, the mattress and bedding are modern- I found them so cozy and comfortable! The on-site restaurant was closed (a sign mentioned "staffing shortages") but there is a cocktail lounge in the basement (called Cleveland's- I left a separate review on their page). This hotel also houses the dam museum and a small art gallery on the first floor. Overall, the room was quiet and the "old-time" atmosphere made for a pleasant stay. I'll be back.

Yelp
Neat hotel with very cool history. The employees are super friendly, rooms really clean and a great location. Would definitely stay again! PS absolutely recommend visiting the lounge down stairs, Cleveland's. Live music, we had great banter with him and the bartender, excellent drinks and we had a great time.

Yelp
Great location. Walking distance to historic old town. Historic site......You go back in time. Good food for breakfast or lunch "only". Attentive and friendly service. Very nice Art Gallery. Extremely small bathrooms.....like being in an RV..... Very hard mattresses.... Which we love. Excellent value. Book far in advance especially for a weekend. Worth a stay.......

Yelp
This review is the "The Speakeasy" lounge in the basement of the hotel. Stopped in to they their "The Ghost" white chocolate and vodka specialty drink after going on the Boulder City Ghost tour. The drink was unique and delicious. It happened to be a costume night in the lounge and the costumes were great, and entertainment also fun. The hotel itself is also very beautiful and relaxing, and the entire Boulder City is wonderful at night. A must visit both during the day and night. We will be back to check out the free museum and restuarant during the daytime. Thanks for a fun night!

Yelp
Places such as these need to be experienced! Boulder Dam Hotel is a jewel of history that can still be experienced! Built when the Hoover Dam was constructed, the old hotel has been well taken care of over the decades! Yes, you can still spend the night there, and even dine in the main lobby restaurant that is simply packed on the weekends! They have turned a portion of it into a museum documenting the construction of the dam and it's well worth the fee admission to check it out!

Yelp
love love this place .. the staff was great the area was nice and a great places to eat all within walking distance. we would not hesitate to stay here again bed comfortable too... the small room upstairs was my office that I worked for a few hours and had it all to myself and reasonable.

Yelp
This is one place you won't want to miss! This is a historic hotel, and is well maintained! Very clean, great features, and the staff is super friendly! The price is great and breakfast is included- a legitimate breakfast made to order!! I will say of our 5 hotels that we stayed in, this one was the smallest, but it really didn't bother us for our stay. The hotel is located near the center of plenty of eateries/bars that are within walking distance. (If you are from Fresno/Clovis, CA area and reading this, it reminds me of an Old Town Clovis feel.) The hotel also opened a new speakeasy type bar downstairs-Clevelands, and they offer first drink deals for hotel guests, and even after that, the drink prices and snack prices down at the bar are very reasonable. Like I mentioned, the room itself is smaller, but has amenities such as closet, iron board/iron in the room, alarm clock with USB outlet, In the restroom, there are soap and lotion dispensers by the sink and there are soap/shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower. Just like the smaller room, the shower is not the roomiest either, that was my husband's only complaint, but the water temperature/pressure is good! Overall, I really liked the experience of being in this hotel, and will definitely return for the atmosphere of the hotel and town!! Great choice if you decide on the Boulder Dam Hotel!

Yelp
In 2020 I stayed @ 218 hotels all across the country and this place was by far one of my favorites and what a way to kick 2021 off staying here. I was in rm 217 the Carole Lombard room. It was awesome and I really didn't realize until some online reading that she was married to Gable . The staff were super friendly and the place was top notch. I actually sat by the fireplace for 2 hrs last night reading a book. The thoughts while sitting there wondering who all had stayed @ this historic hotel ran through my mind like a flood. Oh man I wish the walls could talk. My room was super comfy. The king bed was perfect as well as the shower This place will for sure be saved as one of my favorites. AAAA +++++

Yelp
We had a group of girls and a weekend reservation at the restaurant for lunch. Since we were arriving from Arizona, we mistakenly showed up an hour early for our reservation (daylight savings problem). Annie Rizzo was absolutely OUTSTANDING! She went out of her way to try and get us in earlier, asked if we needed anything while waiting, checked on our group every few minutes, and just went over and above what was expected from her as a hostess. Our lunch arrived pretty quickly, and everything was fantastic! We ordered a variety of breakfast and lunch entrees, and we all enjoyed it very much! Everyone was so kind and accommodating! Great experience! The hotel is a beautiful, historic hotel. Although we did not stay there overnight, I would love to do that one day!

Yelp
Didn't stay here, but came for the museum since the visitor center at the dam is closed. The museum is so nice, tells the history of the building of the dam, and the history of Boulder City which resulted because of the dam. I would definitely stay here next time I'm in the area, the building is so nice, and the food at the restaurant looked delicious! By the way, the museum is free, but accepts donations, which I'd highly recommend!

Missyelper C.

Yelp
Extremely rude disrespectful staff. Horrible service. The hotel rooms are dirty and disgusting. I woke up with bed bug bites all over. Boulder city is a pretty lame place to visit. The restaurants all suck with mediocre food, service is non-existent. Prices are too expensive for what you get. Closed minded city with no real economy. The hoover dam is awful and littered with dead bodies. Stay away from this hotel and from this city!
google avatar

Jonathan P.

Yelp
This a review is all based on food quality...We only had 4 separate dishes but all was frozen fair and bland ... Fish and all condiments were bland/// chicken fried steak was one of the worst I have had /// even the toast was dry ( sat out prior to serving). Soups a chicken noodle would have been best served by Campbells those noodles in it suck up the flavor and make the overall soup bland.... The chowder with some pepper was ok.... Deflated expectations as I was told one of the better breakfast spots in Boulder City. The ambiance of a hotel from the 30's is always something to experience, but I was hungry and it was about food

Yelp
This is a vintage treasure......I fell in love with this place almost instantly. DO you want to hear about my experience? Of course you do! Here we go....... CHECK IN: This is a small place, make your reservation online early and your room will be ready.... if not, you may have to wait a little while. You'll be in by 3 no matter what, but I was in around 2. The person behind the desk was hospitable. ROOM: I booked their King Suite. It reminded me of a cozy apartment. Everything in the room was in great condition and looked well cared for. The room had a kitchen area, living room area, separate bedroom and a vintage bathroom. The room keys are actual metal keys, so you know it'll work every time in the lock. There is a Museum in this hotel illustrating the history of the Hoover Dam, it's free for hotel guests! Speaking of free....this hotel offers a FREE full cooked to order Breakfast to hotel guests! Let me clarify: This is NOT some stale "continental" breakfast this is a go to the hotel restaurant, order off of a real menu and get a FREE COOKED TO ORDER FULL BREAKFAST! No other hotel i know of does this......it's a true find. Boulder City is green, quiet, safe and friendly. There are MANY neighborhood bars, restaurants and vintage shops in walking distance. It felt great to be there and i have it booked to go back soon!

Yelp
I am impressed by the quality and ambience of the hotel itself. It's a lovely destination. That said, the cocktail prices downstairs at the bar are ridiculously high. And example is I was charged $11 for a well gin shot and that's AFTER the two dollar discount for happy hour. I walked around town looking for other bars and checking prices and found that the Boulder Dam hotel is about 100% higher than any other tavern in Boulder City. Stay away from their bar.

Yelp
Too busy to stop but too tired to continue, I found myself in the cozy arms of the Boulder Dam Hotel. This is the kind of place stories come from. It's very old -Nevada wise- having been built in the 1930's. But for every bit of old, there is a bit of modern. This is good and bad. It's holds the charm of 1930 but is not old and worn out. The guest rooms are sized the way 1930's rooms are and you will not have all the treats like big tubs or or even a desk. The windows do open so quick escapes are easy. So let's address the big question. Ghosts. Sadly, despite its reputation, we did not experience any paranormal activity. Maybe we weren't good enough. Since I'm the kind that always has to be looking over the shoulder it is always a good thing when everything is in one place. There is a wonderful restaurant and even better speakeasy where the Jazz is smooth and the drinks are smoother. This is perfect for charming the ladies and enjoying a cocktail. There is a wonderful museum that tells one everything one needs to know about the construction and history of Hoover Dam. I wish there was a gift shop. So many opportunities for sales were missed and my pockets were full of cash because the room rates were so reasonable. Since the rooms are 30's style, a sundries/snack shop would bring this place up to 5 stars. Since I have to keep low-key and out of sights for long periods. I need to "disappear" sometimes. All of Boulder City's charm is within walking distance from the Boulder Dam Hotel. This cannot be overlooked. You park once, swap the plates and the whole weekend is spent among the antique shops and restaurants. It's right next to a beautiful park so there is plenty of peace and exploring. You can hide in plain sight. There are so many reasons to like the Boulder Dam Hotel. If you want to get away and meld into the charm of Boulder City, it's the perfect place to take your guard down for a couple of days.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
We've talked about staying at this old historic hotel for years. Finally decided to spend a weekend here. The front desk girl was friendly and very informative about places to eat around town. The rooms were great...nicer than we thought they'd be. We've actually talked about coming back here again just as a weekend get away from Vegas. Our room had a tv in the living room. It also had a tv in the seller are bedroom. The bathroom doesn't to have a lot of space available to set stuff, but we made do. We had a small fridge as well as a microwave. We really enjoy it here and we will be returning again.

Yelp
If it were possible I'd give this a 10 star that's how great it is the food is to die for if someone gave me to option to chose my nana's cooking over their's I'd chose their's this is the best give my appreciation to Lance

Deborah Z.

Yelp
My friend & I recently had a 2 day girls getaway and stayed at this wonderful hotel! It's an updated 1933 hotel filled with history. The owner/manager and whole staff were so accommodating, kind and friendly. While there, be sure to grab breakfast or lunch at the restaurant attached (there is a separate review for the Boulder City Restaurant) and check out the lounge at night with live music !
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Pleasant historic place, convenient and well situated. I spent a couple of nights here this week unwinding, after realizing (again) that I hate Vegas. It's an old hotel, bear in mind. Rooms are small but comfortable. There's a good restaurant open for breakfast and lunch, and a bar in the basement. Staff are friendly and accommodating. When I brought back half a ceviche from the Soto place down the street (as you must), they found refrigerator space for it. You're a few steps from restaurants and bars, but it's quiet at night. I was looking for a quiet, non-Vegas place to work a few days. This place delivered.
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
My only complaint about the room was that to bathroom was really small. I understand that can't be helped in a building that's almost 100 years old, but just so you know. Other than that, it was a great stay in a historic hotel! The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet...all you could ask for! We'll definitely stay here again when in town.
google avatar

Kristi W.

Yelp
This is a great little place to go for a staycation! Inside is the Boulder City Artists Guild where you can find local artists work from paintings, ceramics, photography, jewelry, basketry, glass and woodwork! There is a restaurant inside the hotel and they are practicing social distancing. Reservations are recommended. Outside is a small little town with lots of unique gift shops and antique stores.

Becky E.

Yelp
This beautiful little hotel is absolutely gorgeous. We love the history of the hotel and the Hoover Dam. The city of Boulder is such a beautiful town. I would and will definitely be back.

Yelp
I see that I didn't do a check in to prove that I was here. I stayed two nights at the Boulder Dam Hotel in February 2017. It's a small hotel with personalized service. The receptionist is so proud of "her" hotel, she gave us a small tour, showing us the newly renovated Shirley Temple room. So sweet. One we saw our rooms, we have christened them the "Howard Hughes Suite" - very retro styling, very world traveller themed. We had adjoining rooms as there was three of us. Nicely appointed, comfy beds with new linens, newly renovated bathrooms. It was a wonderful place to stay, not a chain (a pet peeve of mine). Breakfast is included in the price of the room, and served in the dining room off the lobby. This is NOT your chain breakfast! Nice waitress service, fresh coffee, breakfast made to order from the special menu. Or order from the full menu for a few dollars off the price. If you want to stay near Vegas, but without the hustle and bustle of the city, this is only about a 30 minute drive out of the city.

Yelp
A great, historic hotel in Boulder City that has been our favorite for many years.... Best to book early, if you want to stay during Boulder City activities...ballets, parades, shows, brewery happenings....ect. as they fill up fast. We stated again recently when our friends we married in Boulder City, and had the reception at the Forge Social House... The Hotel was only a short 2 block walk. The check in was easy & the front desk clerk was very friendly & professional. Our room was clean, and the bed comfy. There is a small elevator. We didn't eat there for breakfast, as we walked over to the Coffee Cup Cafe.

Yelp
We highly enjoyed our stay at this surprisingly affordable historic hotel. The Boulder Dam Hotel offers a courteous staff and a comfortable lobby ideal for meeting up with people in a beautifully maintained old building that proudly displays evidence of the area's historic past. The hotel rooms are charming, well appointed, and extremely clean. Room price includes "The Compliments Breakfast"; a delicious made-to-order breakfast from a select menu. The breakfast alone is worthy of stopping here, which is what the locals do. Bonus: - Situated in the quaint downtown area and a short stroll to shops, restaurants, and entertainment; wine bar, craft brewery, sports bar, dive bar and more. Many of the entertainment venues have live music on the weekends. - Short picturesque drive from the Hoover Dam.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way to the dam. Our guide took us through and explained all of the items and exhibits. I would have loved to have stayed for breakfast or a cup of coffee but there wasn't time. Maybe next time.

Loved staying here, the atmosphere was great and I already miss it!! The room was spacious and town is so adorable

Yelp
YELP 365 CHALLENGE 2014-(194/365) "Not So Perfect Timing" Walking around the area, we decided to check this historical gem out. Supposedly, there were shops inside the hotel, and a restaurant but it was pretty bad timing for us. We were just passing through and the lady at the front desk wasn't the most courteous when she informed us that the stores were closed for the day, and the restaurant was setting up for dinner service. She pointed to the brochures and told us to come back some other time(maybe when she ain't working)...She looked like she didn't wanna be there. Nice lobby area though, and pretty clean restrooms are the only things we were able to experience...ALOHA!!! Shaka Meter: \uuu/ \uuu/ \uuu/ 3

Yelp
I love breakfast and lunch here. There is a varied menu and they are always open on holidays when other restaurants in town are not, due to their hotel guests. The service is friendly, there is a soup and salad bar for those so inclined. It feels clean, which I can't say about a lot of the places in town. Plus the historical aspect is charming. The dining tables feature old Boulder City photos and newspaper clippings under glass. The hotel itself is charming and the Hoover Dam Museum is at the back of it. I make it a point to visit the Boulder City Art Guild Gallery every time I have a meal at the hotel.

Nancy H.

Yelp
This gem of a hotel, built in the 1930's and located in the heart of the historic district, recently re-opened with new owners. What a welcome change from staying in a chain motel. It's a beautiful place with welcoming lounge (with fireplace) and spacious dining room (open for breakfast and lunch) on the first floor. Our room was small but comfortable--the bed and pillows were just right and everything was clean. There are numerous restaurants within a two-block radius in any direction, and pleasant quiet neighborhoods for walking. We get the feeling that this charming part of Boulder City is getting back on its feet post-pandemic. This hotel will be our regular go-to stop on our north-south trips.

Yelp
The Boulder Dam Hotel is an absolute gem. It's in a great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants in the historic district of Boulder City. I've stayed in one of their standard rooms and they CAN be small (this is a historic hotel) but if you're not planning to stay in the room much it doesn't really matter. If you need the extra room splurge for one of their suites which are reasonably priced if you book in advance. We had our wedding in Boulder City last weekend and Isaac and the whole staff were very accommodating. The hotel itself is just gorgeous, from the lobby to out front there were plenty of photo opportunities. The bar and restaurant aren't operated by the hotel but you get a free breakfast and drink tokens as a guest. If you're ever in Boulder City for a night, try and stay here. If you're having an event try and stay here as well as it's a great central location for everyone.

Yelp
This place has become my home away from home. I've stayed in every type of room here from standard Queen to suite and they are all comfortable, and well ... homey, it's a great place to stay if you want to visit the strip and not stay there, it's a perfect jumping off spot for Lake Mead or Black canyon.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing! We stayed here for 2 nights and the historic town and hotel was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again if need be. Hoover Dam is super close too! It is about a 15 min drive to get there. Oh! And the breakfast is included with your stay! You go to the restaurant every morning and order off a menu for a complete meal! Love it! Highly recommend this place for your Nevada stay!

Yelp
This hotel has so much character. The room was very comfortable and charming altho smaller than more modern hotels. The museum is wonderful and the staff is great. Location is perfect to see everything there is to see in this throwback town.

Yelp
Probably one of the best hotels I've every stayed in! And I've been to some nice ones. It's nice and old which I loved. The beds are comfy and the receptionist was so sweet. She was the friendliest hotel receptionist I've ever met. The food was amazing. Free breakfast included with your room stay. They say this place is haunted but it's not scary at all! I'll be bring my family here very soon.

Yelp
I found this hotel a few years ago before Yelping was a thing to do. While planning a road trip to AZ & UT, I spotted this gem on the web - Museum Hotel, small town, historic, Boulder City , away from interstate. We didn't want to say in Vegas even though it would have been on the route of the getaway. This is a hotel in a wonderful little town which by now is growing a tourist audience. I liked the quiet streets in the early morning and after sundown. There was statutes displayed on the street back then that were made by local artists. A few galleries, small shops for those who need to and small parks, enough quiet streets to fill the needs of that morning run or late stroll. Several wonderful restaurants within walking distance including the brewery across the way. Great little town. Others have described the niceties of the rooms and the hotel - a very pleasant stay.

Yelp
We were completing a cross-country road trip, and Nevada was our last night on the road. Neither one of us wanted to stay in Vegas, so I did a little searching and found Boulder City (and Boulder Dam Hotel) as an alternative destination. Boulder Dam Hotel became one of our favorite stops on our trip. Don't panic as you enter Boulder City. You have to pass through both the modern/suburban area and the somewhat sketchy section of town before you come to the historic district. Once you reach the hotel, you can park your car and leave it until you're ready to depart. Boulder City historic district is small and walkable. Boulder Dam Hotel is beautifully restored. We stayed in the Carole Lombard suite which was decorated to celebrate the Art Deco era in which the hotel was opened. Make sure you visit the museum located within the hotel; it's very well presented and worth your time.

Yelp
My family got 3 rooms here at the hotel last night for New Year's Eve. We loved our room (205). It was decorated really cool and it very clean. They have a coffee/tea bar available for you to enjoy at all times. We loved the free breakfast in the morning as well. Definitely the best place to stay in Boulder City. We will be coming back for another stay in the spring!

Yelp
Celebrated our anniversary there for lunch with friends and I have to say the best monte Cristo I have ever had! Service was great and so was the music played just for us. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well.
