Google
Boulder Social offers excellent food and beer. The Smoked Pork Chili deserves 5 stars, and the beer was great. The staff were also commendable. Highly recommend visiting.

This place have some of the best food I've ever had a special for bar food! I tried the chicken fingers that have jalapenos blue cheese crumbles and bacon on them! They were amazing some of the best food I've had in a long time my wife got a turkey club that was just an eye for and the wings were good as well. It seems like whoever curated their menu did a great job of making bar food special.

Google
Visiting Boulder and came to eat on 7/5 after softball. Had Brussels sprouts, smash burger side salad very clean tasting and good. Others had the pizza, too much crust for me but very good flavor. The breaded chicken sandwich looked amazing and it was huge! Fries very good. Came back on 7/6 to try the wings. They did not disappoint. I had buffalo and the dry rub. Both very delicious! I would ask for all dry rub with a side of the buffalo sauce. The only bummer for me is that there were only 2 flats out of 6. Flats are my favorite. Service was good and the TVs are great. They put thenCubs on by request.

Google
Fun place for happy hour! They have great beers that they brew in-house. The West Coast IPA was smooth and delicious. The fish & chips were really good- light crispy batter made with in-house beer. The slaw was unique and delicious. The prime rib sliders were cooked perfectly and delicious aus jus. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Google
I have been to Boulder Social on several occasions and have been happy with the quality of the food and the service. I was there this evening for happy hour. Fried pickles are no longer on the menu, sorry to hear that. Happy hour cocktail shrimp is now $9 for 6 shrimp so that is $1.50 each. Prices and quantities have changed and not for the better. My stomach is not feeling well right now. Disappointed with the food and prices. Won't be back.

Google
Great food and excellent service. This was our second time coming to Boulder Social, and both times were amazing! We started wtf the cheese curds (best we've had) and warm pretzel. Our 7-year-old had the kids' pizza, and we split the prime rib sandwich. Everything was perfectly cooked and Kate took exceptional care of us. We'll definitely be back!

Google
First timer. I'm just passing through. But this is a great sports bar. Great drink selection, including their own craft beers. Great food menu and lots of TVs. How are there not more places like this in Boulder? The service was good too. They are doing it right. If you want to watch sports and enjoy food and drinks, this is the best place in Boulder.

Google
Good place with a reasonably-priced menu. I guess I just don’t really understand the vision. Still looks like Fate, is selling Boulder Beer on draft under their name, feels corporate, and has added an oyster & sushi portion to the menu. Happy hour was great- $2 oysters, $5/6 cocktails and drafts, and $7 small plates. The cowboy pizza was decent, oysters surprisingly good. Tempura shrimp roll was okay. This space is so big; I hope it finds a direction.

Yelp
We had a good dinner experience here. Stopped in on our way back from a day of hiking. We had fish tacos, Cubano & Greek salads. One salad with a side of buffalo cauliflower (great idea) & one with salmon. Cons: 1.salmon was a little dry. 2.my buffalo cauliflower was kinda spicy for my taste but that's a taste thing for me as the guest. 3. Ordered an espresso martini & it was watery, I sent it back & they were understanding. 4. We got clam chowder & it was very watery & had ham in it (strange) 5. Our waiter was nice but seemed to either be really busy or forgetful.

Yelp
It's a brewpub, like those that were all over the place 15 years ago but have become a bit rare: beer made in-house across a ton of styles, pub food at reasonable prices. I particularly liked the barleywine, while the red was a bit thin for that style. The food is satisfying standards like burgers and fish & chips. This location has gone through several iterations in recent years, but the inside has remained great, very energetic feel with a variety of seating configurations from booths to big social bar tables, and a big outdoor area too.

Yelp
We were visiting our son that lives in Arvada and works by the restaurant. We went to meet him for lunch and had the grilled chicken ciabatta with pesto and arugula. Our son had the turkey club. Great portions. Wow!!!, amazing. The service was great, would definitely go back there again

Yelp
Cool spot on the edge of the main drag. Outdoor patio is nice. Service was good. Food was really good. Beer flight was awesome but seemed like the beer wasn't as cold as it could've been.
google avatar

Yelp
Our service was really friendly and fast, considering how busy it was that evening. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the great weather. As a party of 5, everyone enjoyed their meal. The burgers were excellent, as was the veggie- caprese.
google avatar

Yelp
Our server KATE was outstanding: friendly and knowledgeable with perfect timing. Our burger, salad and prime rib sandwiches were very good. Venue including bathrooms were spotless. Nice patio for open air seating. Plenty of parking spaces.

Yelp
Came here on my second night in town as it was recommended by the hotel bartender where I was staying! Overall, it was a positive experience! The staff again very friendly and the restaurant was quite busy so I chose to sit at the bar and watch the Celtics-Pacers game. There was also Tuesday night trivia planned for that evening. I ordered another Mexican lager that was brewed on site and it was again very tasty. This time I decided to try their fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked and the beer batter was crunchy and the flaked salt was a nice touch. The only issue was the fish was so hot sitting on top of the chips that the other side got soggy pretty fast. Loved the homemade tartar sauce and I liked the seasoning on the chips but it was too much and very salty. The slaw was creamy and prepped the way that I like it. The bartender really was busy so getting his attention for other items or the check was a bit difficult. I would go again as the menu did have a lot of great choices to try!

Yelp
Don't let the rating scare you! We loved this place. Two of us sat at the bar and we were greeted immediately. We ordered two piña coladas (one virgin). For food we had the vegan bowl and the prime rib sandwich. The vegan bowl was DELICIOUS! Everything came out quick and service was wonderful! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Love how chilled and spacious this place is. Certainly great for bigger crowds to eat together. Very sports bar kinda feel :) However their food is mediocre. The menu has too many dishes so they aren't specializing in anything. I would recommend they make their menu smaller so that they can focus on those food items and quality hopefully becomes better.

Rayelle L.

Yelp
Update! We were offered to come back and the staff had been polar opposite of the last couple interactions ! I love a business who can take constructive criticisms and apply it to this amazing restaurant! Food was amazing as always! They won us back for sure !

Yelp
Amazing experience tonight. Group of 17 (9 adults, 8 boys under the age of 8) came in. The adults and kids sat at separate tables. Boys were literally screaming, tearing up menus, throwing paper at each other, etc. I watched several tables get up and leave due to the noise. Management asked the entire party to quiet down and they instead chose to leave. Kudos to the management of this place to take a stand and a choice for the entire restaurant. I'll definitely come back if they are willing to preserve the ambience as intended.

Yelp
We were departing Colorado today and our flight got delayed so had a party of 8 for lunch on Mother's Day with no reservations. Came to Boulder Social and hostess was so sweet when we didn't have a reservation, even offered to have her manager see how we could get seated. Bar was all open so we took corner seats. We had phenomenal service from bartender! Even got a free drink for all the Moms! . Everyone enjoyed their food too. Thank you for a great unplanned Mother's Say lunch @ Boulder Social.

Yelp
Clam chowder and salmon burger were really good. Great service again. Had the helles lager while waiting for carry out. Nice beer.

Yelp
A mediocre establishment that doesn't quite fit the bill for our food preferences. A sports bar with no nachos?? We've been there a few times and it's a hit and miss on service and food quality. They do offer a decent variety of dishes and specials - just nothing that's worth going back for. Because it is so convenient we will drop by occasionally and hope for a better experience.

Yelp
My first time in Boulder Social did not disappoint. I came with a friend to watch a basketball game. The game was on most of the TVs, giving the place a sports bar atmosphere. People were cheering on their teams. I joined in the fun. My server was Cameron. She did a fantastic job. She was sociable and easy to talk to. The Social has a range of house-brewed beers on tap. I asked Cameron for a flight. My favorite is the Buffalo Gold. It's easy to drink and is refreshing. Cheers! I should try their food and raw bar offerings next time.

Yelp
I thought this place was awesome! Visited this afternoon for my first time to celebrate CO Pint Day. I've never been here before. They have a great big bar and a large inner dining room. I brought my dog so off to the patio we went! They have a good amount of outdoor seating, which was nice on this eighty degree April day! I grabbed two beers, their Double IPA & the Mexican Lager. For a craft brewery, I thought they did awesome. Both were at least 4/5. The lager was fresh and easy to drink, and the ipa was strong and hoppy! I got a cup of clam chowder as well. Now, Colorado is about the farthest you can go from an ocean. However, I thought it was a really good soup! Definitely top chowder I've had in the state. Big clam pieces, tasty broth, and fresh potatoes made it so tasty. My server Layna was really great! She was attentive and so friendly! Definitely made my first experience perfect. When there was an error with one item, she was nice enough to take it off. Hats off to you! I'll definitely be back for dinner one day!

Yelp
Everything, so bad, I have never experienced such discrimination and rudeness from a business over political views. We were a group of individuals who have a similar political view and were celebrating a confirmation of our candidate. After being treated so badly and ignored we opt to go somewhere else to be served. The restaurant was empty! They went so low as to call the other restaurant option that we all decided to go to instead because of their actions and discriminating behavior! They called to inform them we were on our way. Happy to say Dark Horse in Boulder got lots of business! I will never go to Boulder Social again!! I will definitely frequent Dark House again. Their avocado burger is awesome by the way & they make a great Cosmopolitan martini!

Yelp
Fantastic food and beverage Service and great ambiance. Plenty of TVs for sports viewing.

Yelp
We stopped in here after a hike. The food was EXCELLENT! I recommend the green chile Mac and cheese. It was so good. My husband was happy to get some trout. Our server was great. The ambiance is chill. We liked the pumpkin beer. Overall super happy.

Yelp
Great casual spot with a huge menu going from sushi to pizza, craft beers and cocktails. It's a little loud but expected in a place with a big bar and TVs in its center. When I visited with a group of friends service was friendly and my Fig & Prosciutto pizza good. I love that they have a late night Happy Hour, something too rare around here and would love to go back after a movie!

Bruce Z.

Yelp
I've been there before and liked it. This time, the price on my meal was higher than on the menu, and they tacked on a 3% BOH charge, whatever that is. I will favor other restaurants in the area in the future. Disappointed and will not go back.
google avatar

Sean N.

Yelp
Beers were fine, some good selections and the house beers were acceptable but not outstanding Mediocre and underwhelming food, especially for the price.
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
The food was good and the beer was great! The ambiance was nice. Light, upbeat music playing in the background. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The pretzel was amazing! Didn't get a picture of it because we ate it so fast! Definitely recommend.

Yelp
We hesitated to come here because of the reviews but decided that we wanted to see for ourselves. We were greeted and taken to a table right away. Our server came immediately and we asked for a couple of minutes. We ordered two glasses of Malbec, A cup of clam chowder to share and two entrees to share: the pressed Cuban sandwich and the Classic Double Burger. The clam chowder was fire! The French fries were hot and fresh and perfectly cooked. The pressed Cuban sandwich has spicy habanero aioli so if you are looking for a traditional Cuban this is not it. It was tasty with this twist. The class double cheeseburger is not something I will order again. The burger was too dry (overcooked) and had no flavor. If it wasn't for their sauce on the burger I couldn't have eaten even the half I did eat. But the fries were delicious and the wine was delish so with the clam chowder I had plenty to eat. We will return to try the pizza as they have some interesting ingredients.

Yelp
Boulder Social does what it sets out to do - at least what I think it sets out to do... Which is be a place where you can go and hang out with friends, have a nice beer or whatever and decent food at a reasonable price with friendly service. Check! Check! Check! I have been there about 10 times in the last year and I cannot think of one bad food, beer or service experience. Quite the opposite. The staff is always friendly and the service is generally snappy. Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and Vegan Bowl are true winners. Burgers and fish and chips have also been very good. Thanks!!

Yelp
Stellar, spontaneous visit! My friend and I stopped by on Saturday around 2:00 and were seated outside on the patio. Our service was absolutely phenomenal (huge shout out to Danielle!) and the diverse food menu made it difficult to choose what we wanted to eat, as all the options sounded so appealing :) I went with the Hangover Burger and he tried the Salmon Burger. Both choices were downright delicious! The beer was solid, too. I'd love to come back and bring a few friends!

Dominic R.

Yelp
This place fucking sucks. Everytime we are here the service is slow. It is over priced, the employees try not to work. We are here when it is empty and it still takes 15 min to get a drink. Get it together, hire real workers, find real managers, this place is ASS. 0 stars.

Bob A.

Yelp
Easy 5 stars. 2nd time for us and one of the best meals we've had in Boulder. Beats anything on Pearl. Greeted with a smile and genuinely appreciated our business. Wish I had gotten our servers name, he was great. Read the table, we were chatting and catching up with friends who we haven't seen in awhile and acknowledged that we were busy catching up. Came over for our drink order and then waited until we were ready to order. Was there when we needed something and let us eat and chat. My only hesitation with posting such a positive review is we might not be able to get a reservation if the word gets out :)

Kathleen C.

Yelp
Really disappointed, food was subpar and ice tea had a strange aftertaste, Got a replacement ice tea that had same bad taste. Large restaurant, nice inside just sorry our meal wasn't good . Roast beef slider and pulled pork sliders just not tasty ,

Yelp
CU Aunties truly enjoyed themselves here for the Travis Hunter pop up shop!! Good food, great vibe!

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance at Boulder social are all nice. I would say this would be a great place for a family or a small party that wants to have dinner a little bit outside of the hustle bustle of Boulder (Pearl and 32nd area). Prices reflect the food and service, so it was all pretty B average across the board.

Carine L.

Yelp
A large group of us got together to celebrate our volunteer efforts for Kennedy. The waitstaff and managers let their politics get in the way of service and the possibility of making good profits. Had to sit on the freezing cold patio, required the party of 40 to only have 4 checks, and not one smile was evident. Actually quite the opposite. Will never go to such an unfriendly place again.

Yelp
1ST TIME-LAST TIME-Have passed this place 1 million times, but the name was deceiving. I thought it was some kind of a dance club or something.! Other than Alilie Who was fabulous-"our server"everything else was beyond pathetic. Wanted to take Friends out to celebrate their 89th birthday... They chose this place. We placed our order with Alilie and the rest is history. Two of us ordered cups of clam chowder for starters... They arrived at room temperature-Allie apologized and said she would bring out hot soup. Before the soup could arrive the entrées were delivered by the kitchen... We told the kitchen staff we were refusing since we are waitingfor our soup... What was funny is he said we could not refuse our dinner-sadly, I had to tell him he had no choice. Then the 2nd cups of soup arrived, delivered by the kitchen... Also, at room temperature the furthest thing from hot. Our server was nowhere around and we were hungry so two of consumed cold soup. I ordered the prime rib sandwich... Nothing to write home about... fries cold-then I realized it was probably the entrée that we refused before the soup arrived and it was just sitting around somewhere in the kitchen before they brought it out for a second time! The birthday boy and his wife seem to be pleased with what they ordered. Allie apologized numerous times... I explain to her. It was not her fault. She comped the soup and dessert. In my opinion ambience was none-food just OK- On a separate note, I thought a manager would've at least come over to the table... Obviously that didn't happen. I see no reason to return... To many other choices in town- WHAT COULD THEY IMPROVE-EVERYTHING!-except our server-

Stephen C.

Yelp
Surprisingly poor experience. Felt like what i would expect a government run restaurant to be like. Poor service, communication and management was not interested in trying to help. It was bizarre nothing social about it.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
I attended a business lunch here a few weeks ago. A colleague and I ordered the Nashville HOT Chicken Sandwich and neither of us could eat it. My guess is that they baked the chicken early, then microwaved it before serving, making it extremely tough; we even tried "sawing" it with a knife to no avail. My mac-n-cheese side was pretty good. Also, since it took 25 minutes for our food to arrive - not good when you only have so much time for lunch, we didn't bother to send the food back.

M O.

Yelp
I'm genuinely surprised at the reviews for this place. I've been here weekly for a while now with a group of people, and I've tried a number of appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts. I think everything I've had has been pretty darned good, definitely elevated from the typical "we're a brewery, but sure, here's some hot wings"-type fare you normally expect. I'm not a vegetarian, but I keep ordering their crispy Brussels sprouts and their vegan bowl--both are delicious. The service has been stellar. Every one of the employees has made an effort to learn our names and what drinks we often have, and they've been unfailingly kind and helpful. All in all I'd say this is a nice place to end up in Boulder. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Timothy C.

Yelp
Pizza a real disappointment, should stick too other menus options. Service good, nice atmosphere, some lady speaking non stop which was hard to understand. Not sure what that was all about . . . . Confusing.

Yelp
My first and last visit to this place was not complimentary. They had just opened their doors, and we came in for a quick visit. We were turned away, told that we were completely booked. The place was empty, really. We said just a quick drink. No, was the answer. This is my next visit, for the Octoberfest gala. The manager greeted me at the door. He was great! I was seated, just right. Then, I was not acknowledged for such a long time that the manager came back to take my order. The staff seemed to purposefully make NO eye contact. I just think that production is the priority, not service or building a 'social' relationship. Ironic! Hopefully, this operation will make a go of it since many before them went bust. Good luck!

Yelp
Her a very bad time at Boulder Social. Was so excited to come in and try the food and i've heard decent things about this place. Came in and was sat. They were moderately busy for 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. It took 20 minutes for a waiter to come over and introduce themselves and then another 10 for water to be delivered. Not a huge deal - the waitress apologized for the wait and then said she would be right back to get my order. I tried to catch the waiter's eye multiple times and raised my hand to flag them down. It took an additional 35 minutes for the waitress to come back and for me to be able to put in a food order for my pizza. It took about 60 minutes for the pizza to be delivered (not a big deal, the kitchen was probably backed up with orders) and then I had to wait yet another 25 minutes once I was done with my food for the waitress to bring my bill. I'm normally very patient at restaurants but for whatever reason, this felt obnoxiously slow, especially given that I could see my waitress at the bar using her phone so I couldn't make eye contact with her. This just felt like an extremely long time to wait, especially given that I was eating alone. I ordered the balsamic and prosciutto pizza, which was good but I thought it was overpriced. Honestly, the long wait times to order and then to get my check just ruined my experience. I will not be returning.

Yelp
Let me preface everything with the fact my pizza was a solid 4.5 stars. Absolutely excellent. But our group arrived during a standard weekday lunch hour to a relatively understaffed pub. It wasn't due to a heavy crowd, as it felt relatively empty. But we had to wait a very long time between server interactions, some of which needed flagging down more than you'd like. The vibe is overall fine, somewhat cookie-cutter but also distinctly brew-pub. Everyone else gave me 3-4 stars on their food reactions, but alas, I was the only one who opted for the pizza. They didn't have the first 2 beers I requested, but 3rd time's a charm. Staff were overall kind, though sometimes a bit short. But I won't read into that, as they were stretched thin. Believe it or not, I WILL return, but that's mostly due to the impressive happy hour offerings and proximity to my work. And...well... the pizza. Just get the pizza. If future experiences are much better, I'll be sure to update my review(s).

Yelp
We had a great meal - and a really nice server, as well It's a little hard to find, maps took us to the other side of the building, and the sound insulation must be good because we couldn't hear it from that side. Once inside, lots of TVs, it was quite noisy (CU game day, understandable!) Only downside is I was considering the sushi and decided it didn't look like a priority at this restaurant, so that's a bit out of place. Salmon was good though!

Yelp
Nice place in Boulder for dinner and watching a game. Friendly server, nice menu selection. And lots of parking

R D.

Yelp
One of my go to places regardless of day or time. Everything on the menu is prepared well, service is excellent, they have Guinness on tap and the prices are reasonable (by Boulder standards). They have quiet corners as well as lively areas. Sometimes they have a live band.

Matt P.

Yelp
This place is absolutely unbelievable. Greatest food and greatest service and greatest serving sizes i have ever seen. Best Restaurant i have ever been to. GREAT!!
google avatar

Judy D.

Yelp
Second time here cuz first time was so perfect. This time a disappointment. Food marginal, tuna didn't taste fresh. Service at bar poor (place NOT busy on late Saturday afternoon with NO Happy Hour) She was too busy chatting & what appeared to be doing shots with coworkers & "locals". Had to flag someone else down for our tab & again to take our money. Will have to decide if we want to return as there are so many other choices. (No pics taken this time. Not worth it)

Giovanny F.

Yelp
Fun place, good drinks, easy to find, price is fair for Boulder, nice and friendly, we will be back!

Sylvie D.

Yelp
unfortunately i would not recommend this restaurant. the menu was extremely incohesive and the food was not good. my roommate and i both got sick after eating here and felt like garbage for 24 hours. the staff was friendly, we were a big party of 10 and the food came out quickly. if you're looking for somewhere to grab a beer and watch a game, that is the extent of what i would do at this restaurant.

Yelp
As a long time resident of Boulder, I have eaten in this building numerous times, the first being Frank Day's original Jose Muldoons and the most recent being Frank Day's Boulder Social. In the middle we ate frequently at Fate which was a restaurant/brewery that we really loved. There was one post Fate and pre Social which we missed in its short operation. We are very much for the food as well as drink. Tonight, my husband was very happy. The drink was a beer he generally loves and they did it well, the Irish red ale. He had the New England clam chowder and does agree with a Yelp reviewer who also hails from the NorthEast, that this was a very good rendition for Colorado. I perhaps could have chosen better. Boulder does have a few places that do salmon as well as any coast and tonight salmon burger was ok but underwhelming. So were the fries. Nothing specifically wrong with either, the salmon perhaps a little "fishy" and fries a bit pale for my tastes. But still a decent meal. I have to say, the star of the visit was the staff! We were seated promptly though they were quite busy. We were given a good location which sometimes does not happen for our age group in some "over" trendy restaurants in Boulder. Not hidden in some back corner near an exit, to anything. Out server was terrific. Brittney, was cheerful, informative, and efficient and perky. No one could ask for more. We definitely will be back, especially with some summer guests we are expecting whose choices range from meaty, to greens, to simple or classic. And involves 2 teenagers. The space can handle large groups, both inside and out. We know this from previous experience with this location. Parking is very manageable even on crowded day. For Boulder, that is unusual, especially since it is free. We have been patrons of nearly every Frank Day venture in Boulder over the years especially the Walnut Brewery, from its very first year. So many of his firsts in Boulder have spread far and to larger cities, especially in Denver. This one is a bounce back from Denver to Boulder

Yelp
The ole social. Great spot, I am truly wondering why this place isn't packed more. With a fantastic selection from seafoods to pizzas, there is always something you'll find here. They mimosas could be a tad stronger but I remember making my first one. They have an incredible selection of beers, as well as an enticing happy hour deal. The only thing I hold back from the social is the service, it wasn't bad by any means but could use a little work. Look forward to dining with them again
