Yelp
If you're staying at the Cosmopolitan's Boulevard Tower, which I highly recommend, this is the pool area you'll likely be using. The other two pool areas are the Chelsea, for the Chelsea Tower, and the Marquee, for weekend un-tiss-un-tiss-un-tiss pool parties and weekday chilling with the adults.
*** The Good ***
- There are two pools in this Boulevard area, surrounded by plenty of chairs and some shade. Various reserved seating areas surround one pool; these include poolside chairs, daybeds, and cabanas. Still, there's plenty of the free seating to go around.
- There are lots of in-water loungers in the shallow end of one pool
- Great views of the Strip from the north end (and a secret great Bellagio fountain view spot past the bathroom and locker area)
- Very easy access from all the rooms in the Boulevard Tower -- a quick walk to the elevator, press 4, and you're at the pool deck.
- A series of big and waterproofed TVs line a wall by the smaller pool in a shaded area. Bartenders have the remote and can, say, put on TVG if you know someone who has a horse running while you're in Vegas and would rather not hang out in the cigar-polluted sports book to watch.
- Friendly bartenders who make excellent Bloody Marys
*** The Bad ***
- That Bloody Mary will cost you about $15, pre-tip. But remember how easy it is to get to and from your room? And that you brought booze and snacks with you? Make that quick walk back to the elevators, head on up, fix yourselves a couple drinks, hang out on your balcony, watch the pool or Bellagio fountains or Strip from on high, and see how fast the oppressive heat melts your ice cubes and sends you back to the pool.
- Some people bring splashy running kids, and why are people bringing kids to a very adult casino resort anyway? Parents take note: Vegas ain't Orlando, and the Cosmopolitan ain't the Disneyland Hotel.
*** The Unexplainably Ugly ***
- You simply can't pop over to the Marquee and Chelsea pool areas anymore without having to descend to and then traverse the casino. There's an outdoor passageway running along the south side of the whole resort that connects the decks -- at least it did. Now there's a temporary barrier to deter visiting other pools, and a security guy for when the barrier gets pushed aside.
*** All told, or TLDR ***
The Boulevard will get you a solid Vegas pool-experience that you can easily access from your room.
