Bourbon & Bailey's BBQ

This place is a real mixed bag. Two meat options, jerk chicken or pork ribs. Large portion is $25, small one $15, tax additional. I got the small jerk chicken, which entitled me to pick one side--baked beans, fries, or mac and cheese. I got baked beans for my side. First of all, the food is tasty. However, the portions are ridiculously small for the price. I assumed that for $15, I would at least get a 1/4 chicken. Instead, I got a piece of a drumstick and a pile of bones, gristle, and fat. I literally got a piece of the chicken's spine and butt. (Which I took a picture of just in case any of you were incredulous. Dig those vertebrae). It took me longer to write this review than it did for me to eat my plate. I'm still very hungry. This place is just starting out, so I'll probably give them another chance, but I'm wary.

100% got my order wrong, put beans and ribs on top of fries makin the fries that i didnt even order super soggy, cornbread apparently equals some bizarre form of hush puppy, this was pathetic. I didn't get my order, and the order I got would've been awful had I ordered it.

The restaurant only for take away right now, and the taste was so yummy! Can’t compare for real. I love it!

The food was all awesome! We ordered pulled pork and sausage platter. Both came out smoked just right. Juicy pulled pork over French fries. We also had fried sweet corns that were nuggets of sweet bursts in my mouth. The coleslaw refreshed my palette just right to continue digging into the barbecue. You can’t miss this truly amazing place. Staff was super friendly too. It’s worth the ride from French Quarter.

We ate here today and it was amazing. The service was excellent, Brandy was amazing. She took her time to answer any questions we had and was extremely nice. I had the small rib plate which was huge. Everyone else had burgers and after tasting my ribs everyone got ribs to go!! I would recommend this place for some good food that won't break your wallet!!

I was not impressed at all. OVERPRICED! NOTHING I asked for was on the menu, which should have been my que to leave. Instead I decided to support local and went for some ribs and fried Mac and cheese. I was looking for a half rack and what I got was chunks of meat, that look like scraps of meat. It look nothing like previous photos posted. See my photo attached. VERY DISAPPOINTED with my experience here.

What a great experience here! We came off the street and the place was closed down for the evening putting together new furniture and she went out of her way to make us food still. On top of going out of their way, it was delicious ribs, fried macaroni, and fried corn.

I very nice spot. Directly across from Charbonnet Funeral Home. I only mentioned that because I pulled it up on Yelp before and could not place it. It is nicely decorated. Center and front is a smoked grill that can't deny the best meat ever. Customer Service is exceptional and there is plenty of parking I ordered baby back ribs, baked beans and fried macaroni. A very solicitous plate. The ribs were tender and well seasoned. Never had fried baked macaroni before. It really complimented the plate. Wish I had ordered extra bbq sauce. There is also a very nice outdoor that is great for private parties. You can say hello to the three little pigs that live in back yard.

This place was phenomenal. We got there just in time. He had two half racks of BBQ Ribs left. Normally, I'm not a rib girl but am I happy I got them. Simply delicious, practically fell off the bone. Also, came with french fries, pickles and koolaid . Next time I'm in NOLA, no doubt I'll be going there again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am here visiting and ordered through Uber. They sent me a container of cabbage from the refrigerator that I didn't order. The ribs are old with sauce heated up. I didn't get my pulled pork but I'm glad I didn't now. Please stay away, it is awful food. They don't answer the phone either.

Such a cute little gem! They are redoing there backyard so can't wait till it's done there was a cute pond with a pirate skull head at the end of it. The cutest little girl named Winter gave us a a tour and showed us the goat & pigs. Princess, the goat, she was quite a diva and was jealous if we pet the pigs more. My fiancé and I were so happy we happened upon this by chance. We were staying at an Air BnB in Treme and this was around the block from us. Extremely happy we ended up checking it out I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! Freaking love goats. The food was amazing and you got sooo much for what you pay! We got the full rack of ribs, fried corn - highly recommend & fried macaroni. The online menu is a little dated but the food is *chef kiss. You can tell they put a lot of love into this place.

I had high hopes for this place after I read the Yelp reviews for how great the food was and how friendly the staff was, but I should have known there was a problem when I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty. The counter guy was nice enough and said the only items for sale were ribs, fries, and some pork and beans, (which btw had no pork anywhere in them.) While I was waiting for my order two gentlemen and a kid walked in from the pit area. The guy nodded, while the kid walked by... no surprise there, but then a person who was listed at the owner on the previous Yelp pics walked in a while later. He gave me not so much as a smile, much less a hello. (So much for that friendly warm service...) Hmmm... I'm still waiting when the counter guy asks me if I want no, light, or heavy salt on my fries. I tell him light and that it's nice that he asked, which it is. It takes a WHILE to complete this order but eventually counter guy finishes it. By that time another guy has come in. Counter guys ask him if they have any bags, to which he says no. 2nd guys goes off in search of something to put my items in. He returns with some type of plastic baggie thing that can't possibly hold my stuff yet he tries anyway. He manages to get ONE of my plates int the bag and gives me that with the other two to carry. He then takes the two small boxes of pork and beans and puts them into the bag. Once he picks it up the boxes fall over and start spilling pork and bean juice over everything. I appreciate the effort, but I had previously told him twice that I could take the order as is. He smiled and continued trying to force the box into the bag. Time to pay! I took out my card and swiped on their Apple Pay system which bought up the tip option. There is NOT a no tip option. While I always tip even on take out orders, I don't particularly care for a system that does not offer me a choice. It's not a deal breaker, though it IS cheeky as hell. The receipt option shows and I want to choose print, but there's no option. Wow. Y'all can't print a receipt? I take my food, drive home, start eating and get THIS...(see photos) ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! I try to call them to report the problem and guess what? The YELP number is disconnected with no replacement. NOW I'm pissed!!! Too disappointed!!! I can't go back today so I'm screwed out of $40 bucks!!!

Most amazing family run BBQ spot! A few friends and I just happened to be passing by and popped in, thankful for a place with home style cooking. Brandy welcomed and took care of us, filling our table with all kinds of dishes. I am pretty sure between the 4 of us we tasted almost everything on the menu. Every single item we ordered was delicious. And just so you know we went back for seconds on the fried corn! Not only is the food amazing and affordable, the staff is beyond lovely, thoughtful, welcoming and fun. The place shows the love of family and community. The outdoor space is excellent for large group gatherings. So thankful to Brandy and krewe. Will definitely be back.

Brilliant. The food here is so good. The environment is very cool & they have a petting zoo situation on the side. The owner also owns the coffee shop next door, so be sure to stop by there as well. The ribs were the kind that fall right off the bone! Definitely one of the best BBQ joints I have tried in a long time!!

I went here at 1:30p on Wednesday January 22, 2020. I had been seeing this place for a while but I could never tell if it was open or not. When I finally saw a flashing 'open' sign, I decided to give them a try. Everything I received, besides the sweet potato fries was reheated from cold. It took about 20 minutes to warm everything and I was the only person in the restaurant. B&B has two plates, a small for $15 and a large for $25. I definitely do not feel like I received $25 worth of food, neither in quality nor volume. I didn't even receive white bread or pickles. All in all if this is the experience B&B offers, I won't waste my time or money in the future The food: The Ribs have a decent smoke on them, but they were not very hot and the seasoning was average. Pulled pork was average at best, hardly any smoke. Baked beans could have easily been out of a can. White beans were lacking in seasoning and a little undercooked, but the smoked ham hock was nice. Sweet potato fries were a combination of floppy and overcooked.

Easily the best Short ribs (or just BBQ in general) I've ever had. Super friendly service, comfortable & clean, and very cool inside. Would come back in a heartbeat.

This place is Soo good ,the food is to die for. They even have a coffee shop in there but will be going next door soon. They have the nicest people who work there . The staff is great. If you live in the New Orleans area or your from out of town it's a most to go to. Go try it and you will be so glad u did...

We had the ribs, fried potato salad balls, fried Mac and cheese balls, and baked beans. Everything was DELICIOUS!!! The ribs were some of the best I have ever had and they fall right off the bone. As an added bonus they have pets in the back including pot bellied pigs, roosters and goats! The owner, Brandi, was super nice and we will definitely be back to try everything on the menu!

I had a very pleasant dining experience at this establishment. The cook and sever Anthony gave a beyond 5 star treatment. This restaurant is family owned and they're wonderful at catering to the diners' experience. The food is fresh and cooked on the spot. I recommend the salad with house made balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It is a nice place to catch up with friends, a first date, or a comfort food pick me up.

I'm always trying new food and restaurants. I tried this place based on the reviews. The owner (Tracy) and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food portion was huge and delicious. It was my first time having fried potato salad which is a must! I've already added this place to my fav list.

When you think of New Orleans, local cuisine, and a family run operation--this is top of the list. Great food, lots of history & stories. You know you're home as soon as you walk in the door.

Real home style Southern BBQ! The food was delicious, but note that they smoke everything fresh each day. I wouldn't show up before 12:30 or you might have to wait a bit for the food. Well worth it though!

So disappointed in our experience, after reading the reviews I had higher expectations. You can order either a large or small portion, the large based on the description of the owner I'm assuming who was very courteous indicated it came with a variety of things available. After we received our food it was half a slab of tough ribs with good flavor and soggy fries covered in a sweet and spicy BBQ gravy. No additional sides were available or offered and for the $30 paid for the meal definitely not worth the money since we couldn't eat most of it. Could've been an off day for them but I definitely wouldn't go back.

We've been wanting to try the BBQ here for a while and I finally stopped by today for some takeout. Let me start by saying that the people here are some of the NICEST around. They do a great job of providing a welcoming, warm, friendly, and accommodating family atmosphere. I was even encouraged to visit their 'petting zoo' in the back. They have a rooster, a goat, several pigs and the cutest little piglet! And a lot of space outside for private parties. To top it all off, the ribs, pulled pork, baked chicken, fried sweet corn, fried potato salad, fried macaroni and cold slaw were ALL DELICIOUS! Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!!

This is definitely the BEST BBQ I've had in New Orleans !!!!! You can clearly tell their ribs aren't boiled like every place elese I've tried in New Orleans never the less it was well seasoned and it rare I don't add salt in a restaurant well in their case everything tasted like my great grandmothers private kitchen! If you go try the ribs and mac AMAZING and the staff was very accommodating

A bit pricey, but delicious. I'd recommend the jerk chicken. Really nice staff and great service!

THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! 5/5 STARS!! Yelp doesn't have it written up here but you're suppose to call in your order then they give you a time when to come so you don't have to wait. The food was off the charts. Definitely need this in the 757!

Very good local BBQ, burger was also very good. It was one of the worse rains NOLA has had in a while and they still manage to make it happen. Thank you Spencer.

We came at closing because we were desperate for food to take home. Jameson was a doll! He hooked us up with a huge smile! He sold us delicious ribs, red beans & rice and crawfish fettuccine. Our party of 6 was extremely satisfied! Everything was scrumptious! I wish the best for the beautiful soul Jameson and whoever entrusted him with your restaurant. Thank you!

Wow, the food here is phenomenal! My husband and I are visiting from Manhattan Beach CA and we were craving some good BBQ. This place was recommended from a friend! We ordered the brisket and ribs! We got a shrimp cocktail for the appetizer to start the meal. Then our meat was accompanied by greens, baked beans and cornbread, Alll HomeMade! Mmmmmm! Then came desert which was branded bread muffin with real whipped cream, which was amazing! I should have a picture but I was too busy eating and enjoying the company! Tracy and her staff provided the best hospitality! If you live here or just visiting, this is a must go! You'll love it!!!!!

Complete disappointment on all fronts related to this restaurant! Decided to catch a lyft from across town while visiting NoLa and to my surprise the wait staff wasn't prepared and chef didn't have much food available. Total waste of time!

Awesome food!! I highly recommend the shrimp & grits! Mac and cheese is amazing. It's a small, quiet restaurant with incredible atmosphere and tremendous hospitality.

I initially dropped into this place because of a class documentary we were shooting. Let me just say, the people are absolutely amazing, and the food was the cherry on top. The ribs and fried corn and fried macaroni was AMAZING. Please drop by this place. It's so homey and comfortable, the cooks are such good people and they took such good care of us. I'll be back PLENTY of times!! They just might get tired of seeing my face. The prices are $15 or $25 for amazing bbq. Can't beat it.

We just found out about Bourbon and Bailey's this evening. My daughter, a very selective eater, had the bbq chicken slider and LOVED it. She asked me to get the recipe so I can make it at home! Nope. I won't be doing that. I WILL be returning to Bourbon and Bailey's. Love the outdoor seating area too. Very beautiful spot. We'll definitely be returning!

Wow!!! Our family met Miss Tracy and we were invited to have dinner at Bourbon & Bailey's for our last night in New Orleans. The food was wonderful and Miss Tracy and her staff treated us like part of the family. The barbecue was great and plentiful. This is a must stop on our future visits to the city!!!

If you aren't looking for it, this restaurant may be easily overlooked. Thanks to the other reviewers I was able to find this place. While it has a cozy, down-home feel everything was neat and in place. Spencer greeted us promptly and with a smile. He recommended the shrimp and grits. The food was presented beautifully, but most importantly it was delicious!! Im glad we made the trip off the beaten French Quarter path for an awesome meal.

Space was great, but the food came on a trashcan lid- very trendy, but not very easy to use as a tray in practice. Also, one bowl of pasta was somehow $25!
