"Bourbon, located at 2321 18th Street NW, served over 400 American whiskeys, 20 domestic beers, and hearty bar fare. The bar announced its closure on Facebook on Thursday, October 25, hinting at future plans for the brand. Its biggest annual event was the Kentucky Derby party, where 1,500 Mint Juleps were sold. The owner, James Woods, spoke about the challenges of the burgeoning D.C. dining scene and the need to evolve with new creative avenues being paved." - Tierney Plumb

I wanted to like this place. And they made my drink exactly the way I like it! But the service sucked and the food had raw egg whites. We sat outside because the inside was quite loud. Mind you, I’m loud. Like really loud, and it was too loud for me. The music was too loud which forced the patrons to speak louder and suddenly everyone is yelling. We planned to order several dishes and share them. We started with the friend green tomatoes. They were deep fried, and the middle was not cooked through since it was still very hard. The remoulade was bland and badly prepared; if I didn’t see it, I’m not sure I would’ve noticed it. There was also a glop of guacamole on top. A big pile of arugula sat on the plate with an undercooked unseasoned egg on top (see pictures). No raw egg whites people! That is gross. No one wants that. We did not order more. The service asked how everything tasted. I said “eh” He nodded, said okay and left. The raw egg white was sitting in front of him with a mostly uneaten plate. The server forgot about us for a long time. We had to get up and go to the bar to pay our bill. The drinks are good. Go here for drinks. And if you need to eat, go somewhere wakes or be drunk enough to not care about what you eat.

The bottomless mimosas during Sunday brunch are a great deal! The entrees are reasonably priced for the portion sizes too. We sat outside but it never seemed to be busy or loud, which is often hard to come by for brunch locations in Adam's Morgan. A definite recommendation.

Came to DC with my friend for the holidays and I can honestly say that Bourbon was a perfect place to end our trip! Marcos is a great host and knows how’s to show you a good time! Drinks were fantastic, atmosphere was great and the staff were more than accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this place and I know I will be back 🥃

The atmosphere was really nice, it looked super modern on the outside but really warm and inviting in the inside. Even though it was full the noise level wasn't overwhelming. The beer is good and the food was AAAMAAZING I was with four girls and we split a bunch of appetizers the chicken was the right level of crispy and the sweet potato fried the best I ever had it had a wonderful honey glaze. I would totally come again.

Not the best, not the worst. Decent happy hour. A great place if you like bourbon, but less so for other drinks. I appreciated their draft beer list. The drink specials are okay but not great. My friends and I got wings and tater tots to snack on. The tater tots were good but the wings just mediocre. Nice outside patio, though.

Just got back from DC and I had one of the best experiences at Bourbon. They have a fantastic selection of bourbons and the staff is amazing! If you are a bourbon lover and you are in DC you have got to check this place out. It is located in a nondescript building next to several other small businesses. I got into a conversation with what turned out to be the owner about different bourbons and he treated me to one of the best times. My wife and I got the meat and cheese board and as someone else commented it was excellent. I will never go to DC again without stopping in to see my new friends at Bourbon. For bourbon lovers this is the place!!

The "barrel" of old fashioned cocktails was a great deal @ $90. Waitress told us it was approximately 10 2oz pours, it ended up being at least 15. Food was excellent, the fried green tomatoes in particular. Service was extremely warm and attentive.
