Bowl & Barrel

It seems as if this place's best days are behind it. I'll break this review into 3 parts, food, service, bowling. Food - We had a large group of 10 and the food we all had was good but nothing special about it. I had a giant pretzel and a lemonade. The pretzel was good with the cheese and spicy mustard. The lemonade was good for the single drink I received, which brings me to the next part. Service - I would say it was subpar at best. The server took our initial orders and drinks and gave us a pitcher of water. I know personally I asked for another glass of lemonade at least once maybe twice with the server stating "I got you guy!" We were there an hour and a half and I never got that second lemonade. It's simple things such as that which should be taken care of when doing service. Bowling - an initial note for everyone who bowls but I didn't see in any reviews. The pins are on cords so you do not get the same action as you would with traditional pins. Several times pins did not fall as you would think. Just something to note, don't plan to be too competitive due to this. The balls have seen better days and are badly scuffed and scarred. The first two lanes we were on kept breaking down due to ball return issues and broken cords on the pins. We were moved to new lanes which worked better and they gave us 30 additional minutes. I don't know that I would return here. The poor service was the biggest issue to me.

I went with my daughter as a part of a gathering yesterday afternoon. The space is pretty nice and clean. I do think more attention to the group was needed as we looked for our waitress a couple of times to order food & drinks. There were a couple of other large parties, so maybe they are just short staffed. I will say the lemon drop, house margarita and empanadas were really good!! We used regular ranch for the empanadas, and they were so fresh!! Funnel cakes.... more like crumbly, overcooked funnel pieces😂 If you are "old school" make sure to ask about the bowling games that are offered. We didn't realize some of the games have different rules as a person bowls. Overall, this was a good experience and I hope to return.

We stopped in a few drinks and appetizers. The food, service and atmosphere was great. We didn't bowl. But will be back. Drinks and food was on point. I had the beef empanadas. They have a kick to them. Really good

Great place to bowl and have fun!!! The crab balls were great but had small pieces of shell. The charcuterie board was ok but one of the meat choices was not good. Discount drinks start at 3 pm and the Lemon Martini with gin was fabulous ($3.25). I wanted a Hibiscous version and it was delish!!! ($13). Staff was great! I was told the fries were great as well and helped with bowling! 😆 🤣 😂

This is literally the only bowling alley I’ll come to. Awesome staff, clean center, delicious food and drinks, and the best happy hour ever. I want to give a special shout out to Kiara for her exceptional customer service and making sure I am always taken care of.

I visited this location on a weekday at 5, and it was disappointing how poor the service was with so few customers around. First off, they brought us to a lane that was being worked on by a maintenance staff member. There were at least 7 other open lanes, but apparently, we still had to wait for this one. An hour later, the lane broke down, and we were forced to move to a different lane. They didn't add any missed time to our new lane. This new lane wasn't scoring correctly, but we didn't want to move again. Second, the food was decent, but my server tried convincing that it came out as I requested and that clearly wasn't true. I ordered the sliders and I wanted the fries with no seasoning. He made the point to say that the fries were without seasoning but they weren't. I had to wait another 10 minutes to get the fries that I asked for. Although it's minor, this could be serious if it were an allergy. Although the place is nice, I wouldn't return. It wasn't worth the poor service and high prices.

The service was not what it should be for the cost, so the value is low for dollars spent. The food was priced fair and, for the most part, was good except for the cheese pizza. The distraction of the staff walking up/down one side of the lanes we were on was bothersome. The bowling shoes stick to the floor....so don't expect them to slide. The overall experience was good and if they could dial up the service it would rate higher overall.

Great day-date. First timers. Went on a Monday. Everything was clean and staff was very pleasant. Drinks were great. I sort of wished they used different glasses. I was worried about knocking the delicate coupe over once we started bowling. Great time overall!

Michelle was an awesome server for our corporate event on 3/28/2024. She kept the liquor flowing on the company tab.

I only have one good thing to say about this place and that's the Pink Lady cocktail. That drink was very good. The lemon drop martini was not even remotely lemon-y enough. The fries were undercooked, floppy and greasy. The buffalo chicken meatballs were mostly breading and not spicy at all. The selection of balls for bowling wasn't great either. We've been other places that had a better selection of sizes and weights. Plus $55+ for 2 people to bowl for an hour?! That insanity.

Lauren is the best! She really helped make sure we had a wonderful time during our work outing. The food at Bowl & Barrel was very tasty. We tried a lot of items on the menu and everyone enjoyed everything. We had a great time in the bar area and the bowling alley.

We came here for a company, post conference social hour. The service was excellent and friendly. They offered us margaritas beer on the tap and other alcoholic drinks, which are all well appreciated and received, The finger Food was awesome and it comprised of pizzas, hotdogs, empanadas l, nachos and crabcakes l. Net net, we had a great time and would be happy to come back again sometime in the near future

Oo Meh was our server for a party of 11 and took very good care of us. Definitely recommend!!

Order the giant pretzel, grilled cheese, and empanadas. You wont be disappointed. Our server Angel was 10/10. He was attentive, kind, and on point with drink orders and kept our space clean while we were here for a company outing. The restaurant was nice and cool given the 95 degree Texas weather. I enjoyed my time here and will for sure be back!

We have fun bowling as a family. Our server, Angel was great and made already fun night even better. Props to B&B for having such a great place where such a terrific staff.

Fun times with bowling! Excellent staff in all positions. Food - pricy for semi-decent bar food. Have a beer and a bowl instead.

*Bowl & Barrel Review* Reservations: we called the night before and we were able to get one. Service : The hostess at the front who gets you set up was AMAZING! Such a kind and bubbly personality. She was the best! The servers for the food and drink barely came around, we had to ask for water refills and they were just kinda in the back hanging around. It wasn't super busy so was hoping they'd come over more. Food: we got the spinach and artichoke dip, it was very good!

Bowling was fun. We went with family. The sliders were good and the meatballs were just okay. Service was okay. Our server was a little slow putting in orders.

This place was amazing! There was a server there who was literally coming by every 2 minutes and always asked if we wanted to order anything else. Amazing customer service. The place was very well taken care of and was such a great time for a double date. I loved that we could make a reservation ahead of time. The spinach artichoke dip was good and the drinks were also good. I liked the non alcoholic options. It was very clean and a great place to socialize. A little loud, but that's to be expected on a Saturday night. We did get overcharged and I had to ask for the check to be reviewed and refunded, so I would check receipts to make sure they are accurate.

Twenty of my colleagues and I had a team building session at Bowl & Barrel this past Tuesday 6/7/23. The rental shoes were organized ahead of time (highly recommend). The food/apps we ordered were fantastic. But the icing on the cake was the service we got from Kade. WOW! We had 21 thirsty people and the beverages were flowing. I don't think anyone's glass was empty at any point. Kade was SO attentive... and accurate! So friendly and always delivering with a smile. You just don't get better service. The scores were abysmal, but who cares... lol A+!

I booked a corporate outing for my region and I after a day of meetings in Dallas, and I'm so glad I did! I had a group of hotel General Managers and Directors of Sales who were ready to bowl, eat (and have a drink or two). From the very start, we were greeted by smiling faces and a great team of people. I first received a warm welcome from Angel, as he told me he was there to take care of us. The young man who helped everyone with shoes (he brought them out to us), was quiet but SUPER helpful, respectful and attentive. A gentleman in a white Chefs jacket was also a standout as he delivered on anything I asked for with regard to food and beverage. Angel is a SUPERSTAR...friendly, kind, patient and he embodies service culture. The staff and Bowl & Barrel Dallas, gets it and I'll be sure to recommend the place whenever possible! Thank you for making our event even more fun!

Hands down my new favorite happy hour in Dallas! Great location. Great vibes. We did not bowl but I'm definitely going to bowl next time! Usually I don't expect much for a happy hour food but you HAVE to get the grilled green chile cheese bites. BOMB. Their pizza was huge and also the pretzel, so great portion sizes! Service was excellent as well. You can't beat $3 at 3, $4 at 4 and $5 at 5 for happy hour. Side note, they do funnel cakes RIGHT!

We were here to eat only, did not bowl. The pretzel was very big , enough for 2 people, it came with cheese dip and honey mustard. The Dog Pile was 6 sausage-type hotdogs with toasted buns, was really good. I was full after 3 hotdogs and took the rest home. The rib-eye steak sandwich did not have much sauce and came with pretzel buns. Overall small menu with limited selection

Brought my Uncle to enjoy the weekly bowling special and happy hour. Safe to say we were not disappointed. We arrived a little after 3pm and was still able to order select HH drinks for $3. At 4pm the drinks were $4, then at 5pm $5. (I got the spicy ranch water x 2, tiki punch x 1, and lemon drop x 2). It was kinda empty in the bowling area which was nice because we were able to bowl right away but the bar was slowly filling up with people wanting to participate in HH. We bowled for an hour and was able to get quite a few games in since it was only two of us. While bowling we ordered the fries to balance out the liquor and I really enjoyed the honey mustard dipping sauce that came with it. Alba our server was great, very attentive, and gave great drink recommendations. If you're looking for a spot to have some fun, a few drinks, and eat good food I highly recommend giving them a try!

Great ambiance! We went during happy hour for my sister birthday and had a great time! Drinks and food were good. Wasn't a big fan of the sliders but the meatballs, mushrooms, and tater tots were so good! Exceptional service! Garrett was our server and he definitely deserves a raise! He was amazing! Definitely somewhere I would come back to!

Overall this place was nice! We had trouble with bowling alleys though because there were several issues with balls getting stuck and we had to switch lanes. The food was great! We got a bunch of appetizers. Try the crab balls and chicken meatballs. So good! The artichoke dip was ok and too thick. The pizza was good and a big portion. The drinks were pretty good. Tried basically all the cocktails. If you like bourbon, the old fashioned is a better choice as its spirit forward compared to the others. Ambience is nice! Our server, Calvin, was great and quick to respond.

Extremely slow service and inconsistent food and drinks were made wrong and overall experience was not recommended. 1/10 don't recommend.

I've been here before plenty of times to bowl but never for happy hour! We came for happy hour - they have $3 at 3pm, $4 at 4pm & $5 at 5pm. We went at 3pm so I was able to order a few lemon drop martinis, chicken meatballs & loaded tots all for $3 each! This is an amazing deal, definitely beats dinner bowling prices lol. We sat at the bar so our bartender kept us stocked with drinks and food. The restaurant wasn't noisy, had soft music & not packed during happy hour so it was pretty quiet.

We had a large party come in for a birthday celebration. The food was ok, but the service was slow. I had to keep going to the bar myself to order drinks. I actually overheard the bartender arguing with a lady and saying they will no longer serve her because she didn't tip well enough. I wouldn't come back

Clean and cool vibe with good sliders, fries, empanadas, and service was there when we needed to switch lanes due to a mechanical pin issue. Definitely will be back.

Food is good, friendly service, and a really nice restaurant and bowling alley it's nice and clean.

Michelle was awesome with great drink recommendations. she made sure we capped out our corporate tab and kept us double dusting drinks.

Came here over the Thanksgiving break with the kids. They were running a kids bowl free special. For $10 you get a meal, drink, and an hour of bowling. The service with great. The lane attendees did a good job in switching out shoe sizes for us and our waiter was always nearby. I ordered a chicken club which was huge and really good. The kids got min corn dogs and enjoyed them as well. Each lane had a bottle of hand sanitizer which was nice. Overall a fun time.

Bowling is a joke. Approaches were sticky (complete with old gum), so unable to slide. Even tried in my socks. So much lane oil, my solid coverstock ball went straight at the break point. Seven of us bowled one game in a hour, so cost was 10 dollars a game.

I would recommend to make a reservation before coming. This place can get pretty packed and the wait times can be long. Overall fun place to bring family or friends. They also have a menu of food and drink items while you bowl.

Great night at bowl and barrel. Food is always very good and perfect for the bowling/bar environment. Angel our waiter was awesome!

The food was not bad for an entertainment oriented venue. The beer was also good. Service was good, and bad. The bowling infrastructure was crap! The pin setter continually returned extra pins, or went straight to next person - think bowling 9 and setup came back with 3 pins for spare. Pick up the spare and would give you a 9. Lane would shut down (5 times in 90 minutes) longest wait was 15 minutes to have the ball-of-fire tech go back and reset. To their credit, gave us a 30 minute credit on 90 minutes. They are in serious need of maintenance Capex! There are better places to go even if a family of terrible bowlers!

We had a work team outing and couldn't have asked for a better afternoon! Everyone was so attentive and sweet! Unique and Cade were both AH-MAZING!!!

Angel is the GOAT!! he saved my cat from a burning building and then gave me a comfortable place to bowl. best service ever.

What a cute bowling alley in a trendy area. Came here with some family to knock down a few pins and drinks on a Saturday afternoon. Not too crowded or loud which was perfect. The tater tots mixed with chicken tender pieces was the best thing I ate all day. Surprisingly good! Outside of that we tried a random assortment of menu items: sliders, empanadas, shrimp, etc. Service was great and drinks came out quickly. I'll definitely default to B&B the next time I want to go bowling.

Bowl and Barrel has really grown in it's service and quality to the customer. When I first moved to Dallas I came into bowl and barrel to be greeted by kind people but slow service. Fast forward a year down the road and this place has the perfect service, speed, and atmosphere. Marie is an excellent manager who presented great service to me and my friend upon dining there. The servers and bartenders do an excellent job at keeping this place family friendly, yet still a great place to grab a bite and drink.

I've been here several times and every time I've had a great experience. However, IT airways they recently changed the menu, but based on friends experiences, they enjoyed the food. The place is clean, easily priced and the service is quick. I recommend this place for a small or large hangout. Lots of parking available as well. It's also not too expensive and although we had a large party, an extra fee was not added.

Angel made our night! Came here with a group of friends and we were pleasantly surprised at the amazing service provided by Angel.

Diego is hands down one of the friendliest and outgoing bartenders I have ever met!!! He made my night and can't wait to go back to Bowl and Barrel!

I like that it's low-key and wasn't crowded. I had the loaded tots and a tiki punch. Wasn't a big fan of the loaded tots, but enjoyed the tiki punch. The tots were cooked too long. Very calm environment but that could just be because it's Sunday April the 2nd. I assume that it was happy hour and that's why it wasn't expensive.

I will not be coming to this place for a long time. the food was horrendous do not I repeat DO NOT order the pizza. if you order their pizza you will get a wet, soupy, THICK sour cheese pie. The cheese the moment you pick up the size the cheese slid off so fast it had already soaked into the carpet before I realized it was gone. The service was ok The system was ok as well but there are better options. the lanes stop working at least once every time I go. this place was "bluh"

The service was emaculate and very friendly and the drinks were wonderful. Our server Angel was just a gentleman. I will admit the food wasn't my favorite but it wasn't awful by a long shot. My only complaint was there were alot of noise where we sat and it was a little confusing.

Bowl and barrel was excellent. Our servers were lovely and food was delicious. Will definitely be back!

Ty (Ty'Wuan) Was amazing! He was on top of all our requests with a smile on his face! I could easily end the review here! But I won't! Food was great! Service was great! Drinks were strong! We have all of our events here and will continue to!!
