Hubs and I have been BI patrons since 2014. We especially love the quirky marquee sign, and we were sad when it closed in order to renovate, but we just returned tonight to check out the new and improved place and could not be prouder of our hometown gem.
Disclaimer: I lived in Hawaii for several years and know Chef Sam Choy's work and reputation very well, so imagine my great surprise and anticipation when I learned he was designing the menu!!! Of course, we purchased a brick that's on display on the patio, and follow BI on Instagram, too.
Much to our surprise and delight, our patience paid off and we had a wonderful night bowling and trying out the cocktail and eats menu. It's arguably pricey at nearly $100 for a jam-packed night of fun, food, and drinks (but what isn't pricey in a post-COVID recession??).
But seriously, my hubby and I can never agree on anything, yet we both agree that you can never ever go wrong spending your evening at Bowl Incline, making funny faces for the bowling computer camera, dancing and singing along to all the great music, cheering when you get a spare or strike, eating ono island grindz, and drinking delicious island-inspired cocktails. Seriously, it's actually great bargain and the best clean fun you can have in IV (plus, until now, I've never been able to say I was one of the first people to wear a pair of bowling shoes, throw a particular ball, or use a bowling lane, so there's that).
Grab your socks--or don't, because they sell awesome socks if you "forget" yours--and bowling ball, and gather up your ohana to get over here ASAP to check out all that Bowl Incline now has to offer!
