Simply phenomenal. I’ve only seen stuff like this on TV and this exceeded all my expectations. The BBQ was cooked to absolute perfection. I got to meet the owner Jeremy who was super friendly and hospitable. Everyone working the window was slinging BBQ fast and with big smiles. Look for the storefront location coming soon. Boxcar BBQ should be on every Barbecue Lover’s wishlist. This sleeping giant is becoming increasingly popular among the locals, so be sure to check them out before the lines start to wrap around the block. They sell out fast, so be sure to get there early if you’re looking to sample everything. The El Ray gave us a great selection of their meats at a reasonable price point. Their savory spice blend will bring a unique experience with each different type of meat you taste, and it pairs exceptionally with all of them. Without giving too much away, their sides also fit the function, with uniquely crafted options such as green chile Mac & cheese. One thing that I will say I hope to see added to Boxcar would be better signage, guiding people to the line, and helping them to preview the menu before getting to the front. A small detail, but it can add to the experience.

Top notch bbq in Lufkin Tx out of a food trailer. Tender brisket, delicious sausage, huge buns and awesome sauce if you want to put it on the meat but it sure doesn't need it. Picnic tables to eat on in a little grassy area next to the trailer adds to the Texas BBQ ambiance. So good. I long to try the burnt ends soon.

Ya’ll this place is awesome! The barbecue is tender with the perfect amount of spice and you have to get a desert! It’s enough for 2 people- or maybe save some for breakfast tomorrow - today is Root Beer Tres Leches. Get there early because they sell out fast!

We took the family and ordered the El Ray…the nice girl at the register told us it was a bit of everything. We were not disappointed it was so much food and everything was delicious. Ordered the brisket Mac on the side and I highly recommend it!!

The best BBQ I have EVER had! Sides were top notch and meat was flavorful and fall off the bone. We had the Mac n cheese and the potato salad as sides. I would recommend them all day long.

We got a 2 meat plate with the potato salad, coleslaw, and Mac n cheese. Everything was amazing. Brisket, turkey, chicken, ribs, all of the BBQ sauces had great flavor. We will definitely be back. The grill master and staff were very friendly.

This place has the best bbq, only place that comes close is Terry blacks in waco. This place not only has bbq beef ribs and they do it right . We were lucky because they had boudan sausage. We had their burnt brisket ends,regular sausage, sliced brisket and mac and cheese. If you were raised Texan like us than you will understand when I say fork tender sweet and savory. I was brought up if the meat needs sauce then it's no good so I don't use any and it didn't need need but everyone that did try the sauce said It too was good. Didn't leave any room to try the dessert so will go back for some. Of course will get more bbq. Ps the puppy was happy to get the rib bone.

Box Car BBQ catered my husband's Army retirement event, and they were nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, the ease of communication with Jeremy made planning simple and stress-free. He offered excellent menu options, guided us with thoughtful and honest suggestions, then delivered far beyond our expectations. On the day of the event, Jeremy and his staff were kind, courteous, and incredibly professional. They made everything seamless, and their presence added to the warmth of the celebration. The BBQ, absolutely the best! Every dish was outstanding, perfectly smoked brisket and ribs, flavorful sides, and sauce that was next level and tied everything together beautifully. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the meal, and days later, we are still hearing how amazing it was. Box Car BBQ is by far the best BBQ my guests and I have ever had anywhere in East Texas. Jeremy and his team set the bar for both catering and customer care, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Go to BoxCar! The food is insane!

Absolutely the best BBQ in the area! The brisket is unbelievably delicious and the turkey is a must have! The potato salad is by far the best I've ever had. And the sauce-Omg-slap your mama good! The service is personal, friendly, and fast! You can't beat it. The set up is cute and easy to maneuver. If you have questions about the easy-to-read menu-they are more than happy to answer them. Great place to get lunch or order a BBQ package online and pick up for dinner. Great place to order lunch for the office too.

The barbecue is the best around. I don't like the coleslaw as it is inundated with parsley. They need a bigger space and more service, but if you can stand in line and call in an order, you are ahead of the rest. The last I saw, they were open only Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. No indoor space.

Dont bother going after they open if you don't call you. Youll stand in line and everyone will go ahead of you. You won't get to place an order and will end up standing around wasting your time.

The brisket was amazing, so tender, just the right amount of rub! His bbq sauce is great, we had the less spicy and it had the right amount of kick. Whole experience was great!

Food was exactly as ordered! Delicious!! The brisket was seasoned and TENDER. The bark was perfect!

Delicious bbq, great quality, unique takes on potato salad and queso! Would recommend you try it, AND tell your friends! Service is friendly and you aren't standing and waiting for 45 minutes for your food.

Tried them over at Klaus Brewing Co. And it was DELICIOUS. The smell hits you immediately from across the parking lot. The guy told me that he has been cooking since 6am! I got the plate with 3 meats. Jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket, & spare ribs. It came with a babe of chips, sauce, and bread. Pickles are too, but I'm not a pickles person. All meats are tender and just smoked to perfection. My favorite is the jalapeño cheddar sausage. (They do sell regular too.) it isn't too spicy but it adds a nice flavor profile. It goes well with the beer at the brewery too!!! Haha. I do wish the sauce was room temp rather than chilled but that's just a picky note that I'm weird about. The sauce was yummy. Nice spice to it. If you see this truck, stop by. It's worth it.

This is the best Barbecue place in town! No kidding! Its always so good! Ive tried most everything on the menu. I can enjoy any of the meats with out sauce they have so much flavor! However the house made sauces are amazing too! Side are yummy too! With a special flare, so nothing mediocre! All top notch deliciousness!

Some of the best bbq I've had in a long time. I highly recommend getting "The law" or the "Texas timber jack". Talking to the owner he said they plan to move into a building which is really the only lacking part of the experience. The food is well worth the price with very fair portion sizes, I will definitely be coming back.
