Boychiks Bagels

Pre-ordered a dozen bagels. Didn't get the bagels I ordered as 5 of the bagels were the wrong kind. Pretty flat and small, a little chewy. Definitely have had better bagels elsewhere.

It was OK. The bagel was so so which is interesting since "BAGEL" is a big part part of this place's name. Counter staff was helpful but seemed a little tentative.

Good Tasty and full filling Sandwiches. Jose's Quesadilla was amazing. Cold cut sandwiches is worthy and wouldn't be disappointed. Oh and bagels are yummy~~~ Also, you need to try their sides.. Perfect!!

Two bagels with butter, two coffees….$18 Pricey. Expect LI pricing.

2nd time buying food from here and it’s so expensive and when you order a sandwich it never has what you order. They only put one slice of meet in the sandwich. Bread was hard . They never seem to get my meal right . I also tried to din in and I was so disappointed. Lost my business for sure .

Over $20 for a bagel and a gatorade. Dang! Seriously? It was a good bagel at least.

I've frequented Boychiks Bagels three times since the deli opened in Port Washington NY. Therefore, this review is not of a single poor instance, but an amalgamation of three different visits. As others have mentioned, the staff of this establishment is not friendly. I'm not sure if the disgruntled demeanor is because of poor pay or working conditions, but it's obvious the staff would rather be breaking rocks at a penitentiary than serving bagels to you. Worse, are the high prices and measly portions. In the picture I've added to this review, you'll see the amount of salmon you get in a $10.00 bagel. Really. That's it. Three small pieces. Appalling. To call this place a ripoff would be generous. With three other bagel places in Port Washington, I'm sure their poor service, exorbitant prices and paltry portions will put the final nails in this clown show. Never going back. Neither should you. Stay away!

Sorry Boychiks, but I just picked up a bagel from you for the first time and it was not good! The bagel itself was fine, but the walnut raisin cream cheese was barely noticeable. One side of the bagel had no cream cheese at all, and the side that did hardly covered the bagel. Very disappointing. I won't be back.

If you are looking for a place that is worth the money got to try this place. Our office have ordered from this place few times and was never disappointed. Not a lot of places fill up the sandwiches these days but here?? they know how to make a good sandwiches. Plus everything taste great!! Their sides are amazing as well. Love the Cali broccoli salad~~ If this place was near my work, I would order everyday.

They should have more people working behind the counter during rush-hour in the morning, They need to offer plant-based options for cream cheese and butter and more plant-based options creamers they don't have options so they need to keep up with the plant-based vegan

Although Ive never had a bagel here, the egg sandwiches are perfectly made everytime. I feel bad for the people working here because I've been there more than once while someone was getting an attitude from old snobby white women. Hard area to work in I guess. I've never had an issue with the service. One of my favorite places to go, and Ive been to a lot of bagel places throughout my life. Definitely in my top 3.

We thought the bagels were good, not great, but the nova was excellent. We will happily go back for the nova.

Friendly staff, i loved the bagel. it had a saltier taste to it which i enjoyed with scallion cream cheese. I ended up wanted a second bagel, ill definitely be coming back here for snacks. They have great selection of cookies and chips, i bought a few things for mom on my way home. Another plus is the parking lot, easy to come in and go out!

Our go to bagel place. The eggs in a cup are tasty. Basically it's a full breakfast in a large coffee cup to go.

Not only the bagles but they also make good sandwiches. My favorite menu here is Bobbys.

Zero stars. This place is awful. Bagels are terrible, less appetizing than a Thomas toaster bagel. I've yet to get a fresh made bagel from this place. The cream cheese didn't taste right and was oddly chunky. Do not recommend. Don't go here. Spent $30 on inedible food.

I've not had any of these problems that most of these complainers are nitpicking about. Not the best bagel I've had in my life, however, certainly not the worst. I buy them by the dozen plus and they toast up nicely the next day and stay soft in a ziploc bag for a few days after too. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and all adhere to the covid safety guidelines as well. Whenever I've bought bagels made up for me or sandwiches here they are not skimpy with the ingredients and everything I've had always is fresh and delicious.

Great bagels. Although bagel sandwiches are often too dry. They needs to add more sauces, condiments or cream cheese.

For a bagel with vegetable cream cheese and a bottle of water it was $9.75 I get the vegetable cream cheese is extra but that's just insane. Along with halfway decent service I wouldn't come here for breakfast if your looking for fair prices, and service.

Went there this morning to pick up a breakfast sandwich and when I entered the establishment at 8am there were flies having a field day all over their bagels. When I brought up my concerns to the woman ringing me up she stated "there are flies everywhere, I guarantee you there won't be a bagel place without flies on their bagels." instead of apologizing or acknowledging there is an issue that is what she stated. I have never walked into a place and there were flies on their bagels. I do not recommend this place. They need to find the source of where the flies are coming from because at 8am when you are just opening two hours before you should not have flies everywhere. Very disappointed in the response. Won't be going back.

I've ordered from them in the past without incident. However, this morning we ordered delivery and the order was wrong . Tried to call for 30 mins and no one picked up and had to get the proper sandwich from another place. When we finally got through we were told to bring back the wrong sandwich with a receipt because " the manager says that customers lie about wrong orders all the time". Thanks for nothing Jose. I will not be returning.

Went there this morning at 7 am. the NASTY lady told me they had no bagels as soon as I walked in with my 2 kids. she obviously was in a BAG mood. I will never go back there ! ‍

Just went in ordered, chicken cutlet, lettuce Mayo ketchup on a roll. Got back to work. No ketchup was added, the bread tasted old and the chicken was noticeably old. Like disgusting probably contaminated old. I've had great things from here in the past so I was excited for my sandwich only to be disappointed

Location, parking and convenience were great. But the bagels weren't great. They were just ok, nothing really special. Lacking flavor, I like a bagel crisp on the outside and chewy and soft doughy inside. These were cold sticking together and kind of hard. The store was clean and service was nice.

If you want fantastic bagels I highley recommend this place! I got a bagel, a large cookie, and a brownie for only $11 which I think is pretty amazing. This place is so clean and well taken care of, unlike Let There Be Bagels, no fruit flies in their display cases and on the food. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It is a cozy little store as well.

So so yummy and pretty. I ordered a cream cheese bagel with smoked salmon and it was delicious. I would totally recommend the lemonade was so yummy. It is so pretty and aesthetically pretty.

This is exactly what Port Washington needs. I'm so excited they opened, we've been waiting. Great food and service on grand opening day.

We called in our order for 3 bagels and 2 danish.. 1 hour later still no delivery.. we called again... then they say $15 minimum.. they didn't even call us back to tell us. We ordered more to make the 15 minimum, still nothing 30 min later... reminder we are only 5 minutes away from them.... we call to get update only to then have the phone put down forgotten about and then proceeding to hung up on.... such amazing customer service. Refrain from spending your money here...

Despite having many great bagels in the area, this is by far, my favorite one! Fresh, delicious baked goods - bagels (their flagels are to die for!!), cakes, cookies and pastries.. great selection is soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps as well as great sides and oatmeal with different toppings. Fantastic coffee machine and a few drinks that are home-made. Im personally obsessed with their Mocha. Not a lot of seating, but it's great to pick up breakfast or brunch on the weekend or get my flagel/mocha fix on my way to work...

I've done business over the past few years but their quality and service is not consistent. Too many times they have messed up simple orders. They are always hiring new people and have a permanent "help wanted" sign. I won't return! They can't even make a decent bagel with cream cheese. See the attached photo.

Bagels were just okay. Depends on your scale. If this place was in Des Moines, you'd think the bagels were exceptional. But in the area there's so many good options. I prefer Let There Be Bagel just down the street.

Bagel selection is good. They don't use enough cream cheese and the fixins in the speciality cream cheese are so uneven. This wouldn't be such a big deal, but I don't want to bite into half a bell pepper in my veggie cream cheese. Also, whenever I go to order my coffee.. my bagel-maker always just starts making some other persons drink order ahead of mine. This has happened to me all three times I've been here. They are also out of honey mustard tuna all the time. Place has potential, but isn't quite there yet.

Terrible service. Rude people. Paid for bagels through door dash refused to give bagels.

WORST bagel store ever! Not worth a penny! Bagels cold and lack flavor, they mess up orders and they overcharge. Harbor Deli and Let There Be Bagels offer much better quality. Boychiks is small and cute and their desserts look amazing, but their bagels are less than mediocre and lack flavor. The staff are not friendly at all and seem like they don't want to be there and when they screwed up on our order and I changed it to something not easy to mess up and LESS expensive they didn't even offer to refund the difference. Rude! Beware of this place! My suggestion is to stay far away from it. Townspeople are curious, as we were, because it's new, but Harbor Deli and Let There Be Bagels are much better for the price you pay! And the bagels come out warm. I hope that management sees this and will work on improvements right away!

quick service with friendly staff! many choices of bagels and sandwiches to choose from, but a little on the pricier side. i recommend the rueben sandwich!

On my way to visit my dad at StFrancis I stopped for breakfast. This place is a mixed bag. The food that they served was plentiful and delicious. Too bad I ordered something else! The remade meal forgot to make my omelette with egg whites. I didn't complain again as everything was super delicious. I heard the lady behind the counter discussing that something turned sour so I checked the rice pudding that I bought for my father which also went sour. I get the feeling that they are very disorganized here but if they can get their act together they make a good breakfast meal.

Cute place and everytime I go there no matter what time, it's crowded! That's a good thing, especially in port. Bagels were good and the cornbread was delicious!

We don't think we will give this place any more tries. Their bagels just aren't fresh even if we get them in the morning. I don't understand how at 9-10am you can have bagels on the stale side and little cream cheese when we ordered a flat bagel. Never mind when we went at 3pm they were super hard. We've returned only because sometimes they were soft. Not sure where they get their bagels from or how that all works, but aren't giving any more tries to this place. Really wanted to like it. Oh wel

Very modern looking inside and clean! The prices are very reasonable and the food is always fresh. I would suggest getting a cream cheese bagel with lox if you are in the neighborhood.

PS this time hubs came home with 'everything' flat bagels (FLAGELS?) For someone like me who always hollows out a bagel this is heaven! Sable plate not as good; perhaps a little past it's prime. Boychik's still gets 5 stars from me.

Great place for a quick bite. Bagels are only slightly better than mediocre, but food overall is very good and of high quality. Friendly staff, very clean and good ambience. Great addition to the community. I will be back again.

I'm usually not impressed by veggie tuna, but the sandwich I ordered was impressive. It was a generous amount, but not overwhelming, and the tuna to dressing ratio was spot on. The prices are a little high for my taste, but in this part of the Island, it's expected. I hope Boychiks sticks around.

$2.72 for a buttered bagel, what a ripoff!! Never going here again. Hope this place goes out of business like last place

A friend got bagels there about two weeks ago- they put the wrong type of cream cheese on, but bagel was still pretty good. Went in there today, there was one guy messing with the drinks (and watching tv) and didn't turn around to see if anyone needed help..okay. Then this other associate calls up this woman because her food was ready, she paid and walked away. Meanwhile, I'm still standing there unacknowledged. That same associate looks at me and just walks away. Left and will not go back.

Very well run staff and decent bagels. Unfortunately I've been turned off in a big way by the flies that always seem to be buzzing around and landing on the bagels. They've got to figure out how to get rid of the flies.

Excellent bagels and bagel flats. Muffins are delicious. My new favorite spot for iced coffee!

Hands down the best bagel place ! The food and customer service is outstanding.

Great place. Nothing fancy or over the top. Nice selection of prepared foods as well. Just what Port needs. Nice selection of coffee flavors, both hot and cold, sandwiches, breakfast food and bagels. Ample parking. I wish them luck!

The convince of this location is the only reason as to why I find my self constantly coming back. The bagel is mediocre and pastries as well, but they are good enough to shove down your throat in between classes. To expand upon that point, if one was to open a bagel shop right next to a high school, wouldn't one make sure to have speedy service to ensure the happiness and we'll bring of ones customers? Well, Boychiks seems to outright ignore the demand for a quick bite. With the slow service and incompetent staff, it makes it very hard for one to enjoy a bagel for lunch.
