Our server Christina made our visit absolutely perfect. She was very knowledgeable and extremely personable, we enjoyed talking with her throughout our visit. She allowed us to try a Malbec outside of our scheduled tasting which we ended up purchasing a bottle of to take home. Beautiful grounds with a classic rock music theme that we loved! A great stop on our Sonoma tour.

I just love the grounds, the flowers, the space they have created for the enjoyment of the view of their special part of Sonoma. The wines were delicious, and our host was outstanding. I came back for the wine and ambience. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're a classic rock buff. Lots to enjoy along with the wine.

Every single pour we sampled was exceptional. The wines were complex, smooth, and truly showcased the incredible quality B.R. Cohn is known for. What a great location! Lovely property with beautiful views. Even my cat enjoyed himself! All staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their wines have variety for everyone to enjoy. Will be back for their events!

Where Wine Meets Rock ’n Roll and the Grapevines Sing Back! We were heading north out of Sonoma, feeling the last golden rays of wine country on our skin and not quite ready to say goodbye. So we did what any classy, last-minute, sun-chasing duo would do, we turned to ChatGPT and asked, “Where’s the winery with the best views on Sonoma Highway?” That divine intervention steered us straight to B.R. Cohn Winery, and friends, we hit the jackpot. Pulling in, we saw several tour buses lined up like a backstage pass line for a sold-out show and thought, “Uh-oh, this might be chaos” and the front of the property didn’t give away much in the way of views. The large group was funneled into their own dedicated area, tucked away like a VIP section at a festival. And behind the buildings? That’s where the magic cranked up to eleven. Vineyards. Hills. Trees swaying like backup dancers to a silent rhythm. Absolute wine-country stagecraft. Walking up to the front door, we were greeted by a towering metal guitar sculpture, and it gave the place full Graceland energy. As a lifelong Elvis fan, I felt instantly at home, like maybe the King himself had strolled through here with a glass of Cab and a hip swivel. No reservation needed. My adoring sidekick and I strolled in, were seated immediately, and kicked things off with the Classic Flight of four sensational wines: 2023 Pinot Gris – Peach and pear that played like a summer duet. 2022 Quatre Red Blend – Raspberry, strawberry, and clove in a harmony so smooth it could headline its own tour. 2021 Zinfandel – Bold notes of blackberry and plum with a spicy finale. The Zepplin of Zins. 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon (Olive Hill Estate) – Dark fruit, vanilla spice, and rock-star depth. This one brought the house down. Every pour was a hit. Every sip a standing ovation. At some point during the tasting we were “accidentally” served a glass of 2022 Malbec. It was so good, we left with a bottle to take home, our own encore performance waiting in the wings. Our server was a total pro; friendly, informative, and clearly vibing with the winery’s musical heartbeat. She told us how Bruce Cohn, longtime manager of The Doobie Brothers, founded the winery in 1984, blending a legacy of music with a passion for winemaking. The place has hosted countless concerts over the years, and the walls are practically humming with the echoes of guitars and glasses clinking. After our tasting, we wandered the property (glass of wine in hand) like wide-eyed groupies on a backstage tour. The scenery? Spellbinding. The weather? Absolute perfection. My wife, who normally avoids outdoor seating in June like it’s a Texas mosquito convention, was in her element, breeze in her hair, and not a bead of sweat in sight. We also spotted the small vehicle they use to zip guests around the grounds, like a mini roadie-mobile, but we ran out of time to schedule a ride. Next visit, we’re all in. TL;DR: A winery with rhythm, roots, and rockstar wine. Tremendous Classic Flight. Graceland-style guitar sculpture. Views so good they’re backstage-only. No reservation? No problem. A perfect final stop in Sonoma—and we’re already planning our return tour.

Wow, if you want a very comfortable casual educational experience this place is amazing. When I say educational I don’t need math and science I mean, rock ‘n’ roll!🎶 there’s so much history here platinum albums by the Doobie Brothers beautiful paintings from Grace Lake concert photographs :-) went to a number of concerts here over the years great quaint venue and standby. I think next summer there may be music again well that’s my wish! I should’ve led with the wine but then again one would expect that from the Adair family. Bruce Cohn‘s Legacy is more than supercharged here. These wines are amazing reasonably priced and the top secret I found last week the rosé amazing thank you Jay and Tammi.

B.R. Cohn Winery is a Sonoma gem! Stunning vineyard views with picnic tables scattered about. Amy curated an unforgettable tasting—estate wines (esp. Cabernet) are fantastic. Warm, hospitable staff. Cool Doobie Brothers memorabilia & Grace Slick artwork add rock history charm. Beautiful, inviting—5 stars!

My friends and I had a wonderful time. Sandee was an amazing waitress. The tasting experience value was phenomenal. Sandee went out of her way to personalize our experience. Wine & property were fabulous.

We visited during the winter, and yet this property is still stunning. The rolling hills are right in their backyard with vines galore. We had an impromptu visit on a Sunday without a reservation. The woman who greeted us was very kind and helped us pick a glass of wine based on what we liked. They were busy so we opted to not do a tasting, which was the perfect decision because we were able to leisurely stroll through the property and enjoy the views. We enjoyed the wine and took some great photos. We'd definitely recommend Cohn!

We came to taste their cab flight, which did not disappoint! Despite their roof being under construction, our host, Andreas, still gave us a mini tour of the property. I especially liked that we got to try wine from vines that we could see. Overall, it was a delicious tasting, and he explained the rich history of the place and its connection with classic rock. He even brought us some of their house-made olive oil and chocolate. We look forward to returning, especially during one of their music events! Cannot recommend this enough.

We had an amazing wine experience at B. R. Cohn. Our server Ainsley was an utter delight. She shared so much background info about the winery. All of the wines were soooo good. I'm not a fan of the bubbly but their blanc de noir sparkling wine was amazing! Their reds were stellar, a Malbec, burgundy blend and cab Sauv were top notch. Ainsley took us on a walk the through the vineyards. What a top notch wine tasting excellent!

Lovely winery that's a bit further out in glen ellen but worth the trip! It's on a beautiful large property with olive trees and open spaces with lots of tables. We came in the morning where there were some tables filled already but we got a whole picnic table to ourselves with our two dogs who sprawled out. The wine tasting was lovely but the ambiance helped. 4/5 for the wines for me but overall experience was 5/5

Came here for a wedding and it was so gorgeous! amazing views of the winery, loved the layout of the event space. we didn't get to see inside the tasting room but the grounds were stunning. we were worried about the parking for such a big event as it is limited. and they were able to partner with Girl and the Fig for the food service which we loved!

STUNNING PROPERTY! The vineyards alone are absolutely gorgeous in themselves. But anywhere else you go on property is equally as beautiful. The wines are so good- very well made reds! I enjoyed our tasting that we got here with the Sonoma Wine Trolley. I thought our sommeliers were passionate about where they work and the wine they represent, which was awesome. There was also a cool history intertwined with music. They also have olive oils too from what I remember! Definitely check out this awesome gem in Sonoma!

Omg such a beautiful winery! Finishing up on all my reviews of our family trip to Sonoma and this was the second winery of the day that we visited! Upon walking up, they had a huge guitar, which I figured there had to be a story with that. We walked into the main lobby area and were taken out to the back patio area. We had a tasting set up and they put us in the back patio area under an umbrella. It was such a beautiful day and such a beautiful garden area. The woman who helped us was incredible! She told us the full story about the winery. The guitar out front was because of B.R. Cohn and his connection with the music industry. Apparently back in the day, they held a lot of concerts here. And even as you walk through the main building, we learned that was the house that he and his family lived in! How freaking cool is that. I love a good history sesh about places like this. It was so interesting! The main garden area was closed for a wedding, but we were able to sneak over to see it before it started and caught a glimpse of the bride getting some photos done! I could totally see why someone would get married here. It is absolutely a beautiful winery with incredible views! I would recommend this winery to anyone checking out wineries in Sonoma. Again, incredible service, great wine, and beautiful views! What more could you want!

I came to BR Cohn back in 2020 and just had a glass of wine on the patio. On this trip, I came back for an actual tasting. They are on the Priority Wine Pass, so we were able to do 2-for-1 tastings here. The Classic Tasting was $35/person, so doing it for $35 total was a great deal! You can also do the Reserve Tasting for $50. We came here with 2 friends and sat on the patio. It was cloudy when we first arrived, but the sun came out while we did our tasting and created a beautiful backdrop for our tasting! The large white building of the winery is contrasted nicely against their long rows of roses out front. The winery overlooks some rolling hills on the front side and the expansive vineyard on the back side. Our sommelier was Shelly and I can't say enough good things about her! She was fun, friendly, and shared so much history with us about BR Cohn (the property as well as the original owners). We learned all about how the winery as well as the olive oil company started and why they have a stage in the back that is used for concerts and performances. You could tell she was passionate about this winery and telling its story. She even brought out a Magnum bottle and explained that to us which I thought was fascinating! The tasting included 4 wines but we got a 5th because we signed up for their mailing list. All the wines were great, our favorite was the Pinot Gris! My friend enjoyed it so much that he bought a bottle. On our last glass, we got up from our table and strolled around the property. Definitely check out the back side of the property where the vineyard and stage is located! The wine trolley came and dropped off a lot of people for tastings while we were there. There was plenty of space for everyone because of how many tables are spread out throughout the property. We ended up staying for almost 2 hours and had such an amazing experience here, I'm so glad we came back after just an average experience a few years ago. This was my friend's first time ever going to a winery as she recently turned 21 and she was raving about how much she loved it here. Thank you to Shelly and BR Cohn for an exceptional start to our Sonoma day!

Beautiful ... breathtaking ... gorgeous scenery all around. My most two favorite things in one place. Olive trees and grape vines. What more can you ask for. I couldn't get enough of the views around this property. Loved the olive oil tasting and purchased a few bottles since my family and I love a good olive oil. The Estate Olive Oil was the best ... loved it. We didn't get to do wine tasting cause we were short on time. We mainly stopped for the olive oil tasting. I loved everything about this place , will have to come back and try the wine next time. Customer service needs some improvement, it's really bad for the business to ignore a walk in customer who's looking at olive oil. Who knows she might buy six bottles or more ... it would be nice to acknowledge and ask if she needs help.

#girlsweekend began at the lovely BR Cohn. I hadn't been here in over a decade, and the outdoor tastings and incredible service, coupled with delicious wines, was perfection!

B.R. Cohn rocks! This was our second time attending the Sonoma Harvest Music Festival (first time was 2019), and not only is this a beautiful winery surrounded by stunning vineyards, but they're also an amazing venue for live music! Inside the tasting room, the walls are covered with concert photos and past music festival posters. It's clear that the owners love their rock 'n' roll and live music! Music & wine do make a sweet pairing if I do say so myself! While at the festival, we got to partake in a little olive oil & vinegar tasting in their olive oil shop. This winery also produces delectable olive oils and vinegars (make sure to pay attention to all the beautiful olive trees on the property too!). Shout out to José who was so friendly, welcoming and answered all our olive oil questions! Thank you José! We were so impressed by our tasting, we went back a second time mid-festival, then decided to sign up for their Gourmet Olive Oil & Vinegar Club! We loved their California Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Meyer Lemon Olive Oil. Oh, and don't get me started on their 25 year Balsamic Vinegar from Modena, Italy! My Italian husband was beyond happy, and those were pretty much what sold us on joining the club! If you're headed to Sonoma or are already there, definitely make this one of your stops! We literally can't wait to return again to do some wine tasting, and of course rock out at Sonoma Harvest Music Festival!

I can't speak on the wine because I didn't have any! But this is a really cool venue to host music! Well orchestrated and coordinated was the harvest festival on the grounds of this winery. It was pretty freaking hot 88° and we got there about 11. Not much shade sitting on the slope facing the stage. The VIP areas were nice but not sure it was worth $100 extra per person. Parking on a recently plowed field was also extra but we did it because I frankly have no clue how else you could parked there. The food vendors were busy cranking out chicken sandwiches, huge pizza slices, ahi tuna nachos, sliders, as well as copious amounts of wine, beer cider and $5 a can of waters. The Saturday bill was packed with awesome talent with a crescendo of thievery Incorporated and Gary Clark Jr. Depending on the artists booked next year, we would love to return again.

There was almost no level of service here. Did they even have a sommelier? We reserved online, which required payment up front. We reserved a table for six. They had us pick our own table, then go inside, pick up our wine flights, and carry our own wines (and even our own glasses) to our table. There, we poured and tasted at our own pace, and no one checked on us in the hour or more we were there. There were no food options. They didn't offer any water. They didn't ask what we thought of the wine or ask if we wanted to buy any. I see now on Yelp that they offer olive oil tasting, too, but they never presented that option so we ended up tasting olive oil (and buying several bottles) somewhere else. The outside area was nice. It's a pretty place. And it is dog friendly. The one time a staff member approached our table it was to refill dog's water bowls, which we really appreciated. They had two musicians playing live music, but the "reserved for tasting" tables were too far away from the music to hear it. So... you could pretty much order a flight or listen to music but not do both. Pity. They could have at least piped the music through on their speaker system. I'm not into rose wine, but they had a nice one (not as sweet as most roses). But that was the only one we really cared for. I mean, none of the wines were bad, to be clear... just not really to our liking, although we are big wine fans and drink a lot of wine from Sonoma, Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley (especially pinot noirs). Overall. we were disappointed.

Winery with beautiful grounds all around - expect a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy some sipping. Tasting prices are not bad ($25/person and with 2-for-1 tastings available if you look on their website). They have plenty of seating available outdoors, lots of tables and benches with good shade to choose from. I noticed they have a good selection of a variety of wines to try. I learned that some vines are grown on site. With the tastings you can also order some food or charcuterie (which I hope to try next time!). I recommend walking in to their olive oil tasting room to try their oils and vinagrettes. With $40 you can get 3 tasty seasonal oils/vinagrettes of choice and become a member of their olive oil and vinegar club.

While I've visited B.R. Cohn Winery before for the Sonoma Harvest music festival, I returned for a tour / tasting of the winery. While this experience was more of a tasting rather than a tour, sipping wines in one of the shaded patio areas overlooking the vineyards was an excellent way to spend a leisurely Saturday afternoon. We were served four wines during the tasting; the standout for me was the crisp rosé, which was light, fruity, and refreshing. Our guide provided helpful recommendations on when to serve each wine. For example, one wine was ideal for "Wednesday pasta night," while another was best suited for special occasions. B.R. Cohn also produces delicious infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which visitors can sample in the gift shop. Overall, the winery offers many great photo opportunities and an elegant yet laid-back atmosphere.

Gorgeous winery located in beautiful Glen Ellen, the service is friendly & the have the best music playing. The wine we tasted was all delicious! The whites were crisp & refreshing, perfect for a summer day. Our server, Sandy, was very educational & attentive -- she never let our glasses get empty. It's so cool to know they not only make delicious wine, but they also make delicious olive oils & vinegars. In addition to them offering a wedding venue, they hold an annual concert on their grounds with, what seems like, a great line up! I'll definitely have to come back & bring my husband along as well!

Beautiful winery and friendly service! We stopped in here on a trolley tour and our hostess had us set up at some shaded picnic tables in the lawn. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a tasting. She was so friendly and knowledgable about the wine and I'm so disappointed that I can't remember her name. Anyway, we enjoyed everything we tried and plan to order some now that we're home. I would definitely recommend stopping in at this winery!

Person pouring wine was intrusive. Asking inappropriate questions. Did not seem to have a good knowledge of the wines, did not answer questions. Wine is pretty good. Person pouring ruined what could have been a great experience.

This was the most beautiful winery I've ever been to! We came as part of a wine tasting tour and had a lot of fun exploring the grounds and learning about all of the different wines. It was interesting history lesson as well!

The winery was a beautiful backdrop to the intimate ceremony and the walk down the steps was bridal and dramatic.Photos after the ceremony, in the vineyard next to the large trees turned out gorgeous and was so fun for the bridal party. Dining and dancing on the large patio overlooking the vineyard was romantic and featured a great view of the sunset. The bridal suite with the large Love sign was the perfect spot for the bride and bridesmaids and family to get ready and take photos. The staff was so helpful with the planning, special thanks to Victoria! The two day of contacts were so fabulous and helpful as well, our team was so grateful for them.

We had an awesome tasting for 8. Danny was very knowledgeable and provided lots of information about the winery and wine. The grounds are beautiful!!

We have been here before. On this day we did not have the best service. We were there for over 30 minutes and received one pour for tasting after we reminded them that we had not been served after being seated. It was clear that we were not too important. After waiting a while we finally got up and left. We will try them again on a future visit. Not too impressed this time.

This winery is beautiful! Staff was friendly as soon as we walked in and sat us right away. Our server Sandy was very knowledgeable and loved all the stories she told us of the winery. She also suggested we walk around and look where they have concerts & it was very pretty. Wines were solid would definitely come back again. It's a very relaxing winery & views are beautiful. Prices are very reasonable. Also don't leave without trying their olive oil and balsamic vinegar they are amazing!

B.R. Cohen is on beautiful acreage where rolling hills of vineyards and old isles habitats the hillsides. Wedding destination. Cottage-like, kickback, and lovely. The staff is always welcoming. They have yummy wines--we became a member a few years back after being a guest a few times with friends. B.R. Cohn allows its members to pick the wines they want when it comes around to receiving wines during the Calendar year. One can let B.R. Cohn send you a variety in your wine allotment--their choice for you.... OR.... or you choose. I really like this kind of membership that adds choice and flavor together.

Superb boutique wine and olive oil tasting experience served in a gorgeous vinyard venue in beautiful Glen Ellen. Award winning wines, especially the Cabernet and other grown on site blends. Great for special events, weddings and outdoor concerts overlooking the vineyards. I highly recommend a visit on your next outing to the Sonoma County wine country.

I went with a group of co-workers a couple months ago. We were extremely excited and looking forward to enjoying the afternoon at this winery. I had spoke with them the week before about walking in. They were so welcoming and helpful when getting information. As we walked into the tasting room, we were greeted with a racist unwelcoming, being offered a grape pickers jobs. Making it so clear they only want latino/a/x on their fields. We just walked out and left. ESTE LUGAR ES RACISTA, NOMAS NOS OFRECERON TRABAJO DE PISCA AL ENTRAR. Pues con esa bien viendo nos fuemos. All LATINO/A/X unite to boycott this winery, please do not visit their grounds our purchase their wine. TODOS LOS LATINO/A/X Únase para n este viento, no visite o comprar su vino.

So I wanted to share an experience I had here in my home land! Friday I was with a group of lovely women we decided to go to a winery after we attended a local event, it was planned one of the women called ahead to the winery to assume have entry. My friend reported that is was a go, so we head to the BR Cohen winery and olive oil off hyw12 . We were excited to stop and enjoy the scenery, but as we are walking in the building, an older gentleman said it a loud voice! "Hey we are hiring here, we need some grape pickers" and continue to make rude comments and body gestures mocking the pickers. Considering we are all Latinas that did not settled well. Anyway we were shocked by his comments and we just walked out! I have not felt the slap of racism In a while I must say it hurt! Sad that we are still dealing with this kind of racism, and stereotypes. I will not ever visit this place again! Update: I went to their website and shared the experience, I did get a call from a manager that was of course appalled at the situation, she apologized and assured me that they will investigate, to see if it was an employee or a guest who blurted out the comments, she also said she would send a complimentary pass for their winery. It is now November and no sign anywhere of a complimentary pass! No follow up on the issue! Hmm well I'm not excited about the pass but I had hopes that she would of followed up!

There are so many reasons to love B.R. Cohn!!! They have a huge outdoor seating area with gorgeous views of the vineyard. Live music. Food is available for purchase, including cheese plates and freshly made pizza (from an outdoor pizza oven) AND are dog friendly (we couldn't resist bringing Pepito along for the trip) We had such a blast! Tasting fees are very affordable, especially for the incredible ambiance. The wine was enjoyable... not like blown away amazing but very approachable! This will be top of my list to bring guests who want to experience wine country.

We got a Vintage Wine Estate passport and decided to visit this winery. So we called and texted to make an appointment for 4. We did not hear back from them for a bit, but still decided to give it a go. I'm not sure why they participate in the wine passport. They were not welcoming or informative. The wine selection for us was not amazing. We were told they were known for their Cabernets , yet not one was included in the flight. My recommendation is to drive on by this and look for the Kunde family winery that is nearby!! You won't regret it!!!!

The day we visited the winery they had their music series. We sat outside on a high top and did the wine tasting while enjoying the live music by Justin Sailor. I really enjoyed their 2018 Sauvignon Blanc. We also tasted their 2017 Sangiovese, 2016 Sonoma Zinfandel and the 2016 Merlot. The tasting is $25 per person. This is definitely a music inspired winery and you can tell right away as there is a huge guitar on their lawn right in front of the entry. Once inside there are pictures of rock legends, memorabilia and merchandise. The manager of the Doobie Brothers owns and runs B.R. Cohn. We had two people pouring wine, Jason and Louis and they were both very nice and both explained the history and the wines. Jason is in the music scene as well and plays with Justin Sailor. The music made the visit that uh more special.

I love this location. After the pandemic hit they converted the outdoor space to accommodate tastings. The view is gorgeous and the atmosphere is relaxing. Because it's spacious it's able to take large reservations. The wine is good too! They offer some light and crisp white wines as well as some deep reds. I, personally, love their cab and their Malbec best. We became members shortly after visiting and enjoy their live music in the summer. If you haven't visited, I highly recommend adding it to your list!

Not served along with the other 5 Black people from our Gray Line tour. We went on an Expedia tour and would not have picked this place if we had the choice. My fiancé and I walked as another Black couple walked out from our tour upset. We didn't think any of it so we stood at the bar as many other people were served including everyone that came in after us. We were finally acknowledged by an older woman who inquired if we had a reservation. We said no that we were with the bus tour. She said ok and then walked away and served everyone else. We just stood there surprised. She finally came back and asked me what I wanted. I asked her how could I if she never gave me a menu or explained anything to me. I then borrowed a menu from another person. I asked her if there was a tasting I could purchase or tell me anything. She said no and was very condescending. I asked the couple next to me how was it going and they said terribly, they were Black too, so we left. With so many choices in Sonoma, how can this place stay open???

Beautiful winery. Tried their flight during a wine tasting. Good wine, beautiful views, so peaceful. Definitely recommend if you're in wine country.

This place was recommended, but we were disappointed with the wines. The location is beautiful, very relaxed and easy to sit for a long time, so it was overall a nice experience. But the whites were almost watery, and the reds were underwhelming. Even the "$175" bottle of cab was fairly pedestrian. Maybe we are more Napa people than Sonoma people?

B.R. Cohn's estate is truly enchanting. I kind of gawked when I pulled into the parking lot because I couldn't handle all of the beauty. From the meticulous landscaping to the sweeping vineyard views of Sonoma valley; there is no shortage of splendor when it comes to their grounds. We embarked on a seated estate tasting that was held in an exclusive area on their back patio. The entire setup was just lovely! I'm a sucker for a nice seated tasting, and B.R. Cohn had no problem showing us their best spread. I must admit that their estate tasting setup was one of my favorites thus far! Beautifully articulated and everything was paired extremely well. It's one of those moments where you want to start tasting everything but you kind of don't because it looks so beautiful! Esthetically speaking, the estate tasting was perfect. The estate tasting was my favorite part of the entire experience. It features a wine and food pairing of their reserve red wines. Their reserve reds were fabulous! I really enjoyed their Cabernet Franc. It was light, smooth, and enjoyable. The food pairings tasted incredible as well! Reed, Katie, and John did a wonderful job in educating us about the origins of the wines and the history of the estate. We drank, we mingled, and enjoyed our private tasting. When it came time to mosey around the winery, we did just that! We made our way into their indoor tasting room where we indulged in a tasting of their white wines. Typically, I'm more of a red wine drinker. However when the weather gets warm, I crave the whites. One sip of their Pinot Gris hooked me immediately! It was crisp and refreshing; the perfect wine to sip during this heat wave. Yep, that baby happily came home with me. Tasting inside was a lot more interactive versus the estate tasting, which I super enjoyed. B.R. Cohn also produces and sells vinegars and olive oils that you can taste in a separate tasting area. They also carry many different homemade dipping sauces, all of which you can sample. WE took our time tasting many of the sauces and they all tasted wonderlful. But that Chardonnay caramel sauce, though! I mean... where have YOU been all of my life?! This caramel sauce was like the sugar from Gawd himself. I bought it not even knowing how the hell that I planned to use it. But... it was too good to NOT purchase! Aside from the caramel sauce, we also tasted many of their award winning olive oils and vinegars. I really enjoyed their basil-garlic olive oil and champagne vinegar. I was surprised at how diverse their selection was. For the most, the service that we received was excellent (especially during our seated estate tasting). However, If I had to nitpick about something, I would have liked for the wine stewards in their indoor tasting room to be informed about the wines and their promotions. We also received conflicting information from two different wine stewards in regards to the pricing of some of the wines. They were just a bit disorganized in that manner. Other than those few nuances, everything else was stellar. We really enjoyed tasting at this immaculate winery. A grand estate with enjoyable wines; it can't get any better than that.

This was our first time here! Service was very friendly and welcoming. It's a peaceful, laid back atmosphere with live music and and they even had a pizza truck on property. We grabbed a slice and sat down at our designated picnic table under the trees and tasted our way through our wine flight which consisted of a Brut, Pino, red blend and Cab. (All delicious!) Our pups were with us and to our delight, many other people hd their dogs too! Very kid and dog friendly. We hd a great time!

We attended a wedding at B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen, CA in Sonoma County over the weekend. Such a beautiful venue! The view of the vineyards beyond the 'deck' where the ceremony was held was nothing short of stunning. Plenty of shade on the lawn area as we waited to enjoy dinner under a large covered pavilion. B.R. Cohn wines are lovely. We especially enjoy their Chardonnay. Parking for guests was plentiful even though the winery itself was still open and serving patrons for wine tasting. The area for the wedding and reception was private and away from the actual tasting room and outdoor tasting area.

We came here a lot. We love this beautiful winery. We came here for the concert several months ago. We are here today and do some wine tasting.

This is such a relaxing location! Absolutely loved that the seating was very spaced out and open. Especially perfect for COVID times to socially distance. My boyfriend and I ordered the wine flight as well as the cheese kit. The cheese kit was delicious but my only complaint would be that I wish there were more crackers! We finished all the crackers well before we made a dent in the jam. There is a great outlook and options for parties to be seated in the shade or in the sun. Guests are also very welcome to walk around and explore the venue.

AMAZING!! Loved the staff dressing up for Halloween. I believe our host was Angelinc (blonde) - she was awesome!! Gave us that presidential treatment! Even if 2 of the 5 of us were members she treated us like we were all members. Definitely going to join this club! Beautiful location!!

Supppppper gorgeous views in the back over the vineyards during fall. Great space for a big event or wedding, they've got a huge concrete landing right next to the view. The tasting was kind of odd. Not a super busy day and we sat outside. One of the soms would come out occasionally for a pour and tell us hardly anything about the wine outside of the name. The backstory of this place is really neat, the manager of the Doobie Brothers owns and runs it. It's obvious because like some other vineyards in Napa, its covered in rock band memorabilia and merchandise. They also grow olives and press their own oil, of which can be tasted in their little market attached to the main tasting groom. I didnt participate in the tasting but was told it was pretty good.

I made a reservation over a week ago and I specifically told the lady that I wanted a table with a view outside. We arrived 15mins ahead as recomendad and we were told there were no tables outside and the host said he can seat us on the vip lounge which is inside with no view. After I cancel my reservation we walked outside and saw 3 tables around the bbq area more tables open on the area where the little store used to be. I used to be a Member of this winery and this weekend I was planning to join again it's definitely not happening and they lost a customer

B.R. Cohn was not on my list of places to try but as we passed the vineyard my boyfriend said he knew this wine and wanted to stop so we did. Having never heard of it I didn't know what kinds of wines they produced but this was our first day in Sonoma and we were winging it so we pulled in and luckily did not need a reservation to do a tasting. The tasting room was very pretty, a white looking house with a beautiful inside. The woman doing our tasting, Stephanie was absolutely awesome. She was such a down to earth, informative and fun person, she made our experience really great. We decided to split a tasting, it was $25, super reasonable. We tried some Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and they were all really delicious. After leaving I realized they are known for their olive oils, which I had no idea about and wish I knew. Next time I visit Sonoma I would come back here and try some oils. Make sure you make a point to stop in the Gourmet Shop, just to the left of their tasting room.

This was our first stop wine tasting in Sonoma/Napa and we loved our experience with Nick! He is so knowledgeable and friendly, he MADE the tasting fun and informative. He was wonderful at checking in at all the right times despite being in charge of a few tables at once. The wine at BR Cohn also wowed us throughout the tasting- we don't typically like Chardonnays but theirs is so good we took bottles home. The only thing I would suggest to change is the "Bento boxes"- we got the chicken one and it was a fresh, delicious salad bowl with chicken. But the term "Bento box" is misleading as there was nothing remotely Japanese about the food. We also stopped by their store and picked out some olive oils and vinegars- they're not doing tastings now due to COVID but we're excited to try when we get home!

Fun winery to visit on a Sunday Funday. The grounds are stunning and with lots of shaded areas to sit, relax, and sip some vino. This is California living, drive up the scenic route to a well-known winery and chillax all day in the sun! I've always loved Glen Ellen ever since I visited Morton Springs almost 20 years ago. It's the perfect getaway, and not too far from downtown Sonoma Square to continue more sipping and shopping. It's not pretentious on this side, compared to Napa. I love their Malbec and late harvest Sémillon. Must taste these amazing wines, or buy a few bottles for later. For some, a case will do. Go visit the olive oil shop and taste a variety of olive oils straight from their estate or from Italy. Everything is divine. The dessert sauces and sexy vinegar bottles also add to the experience. Shop 'til you drop! The cute olive oil wooden keepsake boxes are only $6. I had to buy the caramel sauce for hubby; he loves all things caramel. Live music on Sundays btw. Oysters from Tomales Bay for purchase, and the cheese plates are delightful. Can't wait to come back soon. 'Til next time ~ cheers & see you on Yelp (SYOY)! P.S. Beautiful location! The wine is good, though not super remarkable. They have lots of nice outdoor space and it's a relaxing spot to spend some time on a sunny afternoon. It felt less personable than many of the other wineries we've been to in the area, possibly because it's large and they seem to have more guests from out of town. We didn't get much explanation of the wine or opportunities to revisit anything, but we enjoyed our time there.

First visit in 2007 and subsequent visit July 2018. Noticeable contrasts between the 11 years? Some, but nothing to exclaim over. The original owner started the place in 1974, exited the scene back in 2016 or so. Sold the winery. (Bruce "BR" Cohn was the manager of the Doobie brothers rock band for 45 years. That's why there is some classic era rock n' roll memorabilia hanging on the walls). The menu of wines and olive oils is pretty much the same. I feel that the wine quality has actually improved. The wines seem more refined and fruit forward. But, that could just be my memory fault since I did not do a side-by-side tasting of the 2005 against the 2016 vintages. The property is a delight for the senses. It's pretty, well tended, smells nice. It's far enough from the highway where it is possible to hear some nature sounds. My interaction with 4 employees today was all pleasant. Smiling, gracious, intelligent, striving to achieve customer satisfaction. If you are focusing your wine tour day on the Sonoma valley, you have dozens of tasting rooms as possible choices. This one is worthy of a visit. This is a local knowledgeable review, I have been a Sonoma valley resident since 1973.
