Bracebridge Barrelhouse

Came by on a recommendation from a local with my friends staying at a cottage for the weekend. Let me tell you- the food was AMAZING! To the point one of my friends had a dream about the pork belly that night 🤣 I had the Mac and cheese with added double smoked bacon. The vibe of the place was great too along with the service staff. Highly recommend stopping by while you’re in cottage country!

Our table ordered pulled pork bun, BBQ chicken wrap and buttermilk chicken bun. All were excellent and filling. Onion rings were good and the Ceasar salad had generous bacon pieces. Travis, our server was friendly and helpful. Each meal was around $20. The place was spotless and they have an exceptional variety of beer. We'll be back.

I try really hard to like this place but sometimes it’s really hard to. I’ve had frozen burger patty’s cooked at home better than the burger I was served. It was missing toppings, and was dry. Fries were also dry and old. It made me think everything was just reheated and thrown on a plate. My group all said the same about theirs too. Their in-house ketchup is to die for though! It’s so good I always ask for extra.

We had lunch here. We ordered trout fish tacos and the meat platter with chicken wings, pulled pork and brisket that was very dry it was difficult to swallow. We did not order beer as I was driving. The fish tacos had very little fish in it. I think the food that we ordered were way overpriced. We left the restaurant feeling very disappointed.

Great place for food and beer. I came here after a long hike and got a large burger and a flight of beer for a reasonable price. Definitely worth stopping by. Amazing food. Amazing service.

If only I could give this place a negative number of stars! The whole experience was horrible. Our server didn't write down our order (he showed us) and probably didn't give it in to the kitchen. Other people who arrived after us were finished eating and we still didn't get our food. Upon complaining, there were many excuses. Finally, our order arrived and it was wrong. (eye roll) The server corrected it after a few minutes. We had burgers and they were charred, burned and dry. They looked like they were thrown together. The menu was pretty bad and this was the worst restaurant either of us have had in a very long time. If you go, I hope that you have a better experience.

Amazing food! The rainbow trout tacos are a must try. Whenever we’re in town we always eat here once or twice! Definitely recommend!

Lake of Bays Barrelhouse is great as its much larger than their original location and they have tons more merch and product on display. Staff is fun and friendly. Buy local!

Not the best experience this afternoon at the Barrelhouse. We came here after a round of golf. We ordered our drinks and food within 10 minutes of being there (I had a flight of beer, though one of the beers I wanted was unavailable). We then waited almost an hour for our food. We were told the kitchen was having some problems, so we waited. When we finally got our food it was extremely underwhelming. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was super dry, and there was supposed to be coleslaw on it, the coleslaw was just red cabbage and red pepper strips. The Caesar salad was mid. The others I was with ordered the Brunch breakfast plates; one had the pulled pork plate and the other had the brisket plate.... There was barely any food on each of their plates! It also looked like it just got thrown together. This place has a great ambiance and a good selection of beer, but the food and quality was not there. I don't think we'll be back.

Very busy but amazing food. We ordered to go but I was able to sit at the bar, enjoy a beer and I snuck in a bowl of french onion soup. Ambiance is cool, you can buy beer to go, and the price compared to quality is wayyyyyy worth it. The family loved all of their meals and everything was correct for a to-go order. Staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean. Great job!

Good things come to those who wait...sometimes...that was not our experience today. Waiting was the name of the game. We waited to order, waited for food, waited for our bill after asking. The server was nice, just not quick. The brunch poutine was yummy, beyond that everything was average. The chicken was dry, the burger was dry, the fries were bland. We had good beers, that helped with the waiting.

Meal and beer was top notch... our server Jess was incredible and made the experience spectacular. A lot of beer selection high quality bar food and good atmosphere
